First off, let me start by saying I FEAR going to the dentist.  All my experiences in the past have been horrible.  I’d  been contemplating going and finally getting work done, which I knew I had to do.  I actually searched Google.  I thought I give him a try and make my own assessment after my consultation.  Thank God I did….  CAN I JUST SAY, if I could kiss Dr. Kim I would.  He saw the panic in my face.  He just made me feel so relax, and comfortable.  He practically held my hand step by step explaining every single thing down to x-rays.  He delivered news that wasn’t as bad as I thought, and scheduled my procedure.  To say I am the crazy lady is an understatement.  I went to his office a few times prior to the treatment, telling him I was having nightmares of all my teeth falling when he was going to do the procedure.  Asking him a million question. Funny right?  He kept telling me you come as many times as you want… No worries.  The day of my first procedure I was scared out of my mind, but the minute I arrived, and saw his calm demeanor, I was saying to myself, lets get this done.  I been going to him for a few months, and every single time, he makes me feel that I am in good hands.  The office staff, is beyond amazing.  Friendly, welcoming, clean.  I could list a million adjective to describe him, and his staff, but I will simply say ..if you want a dentist that makes you feel comfortable, and knows what he is doing, someone who takes pride in his work, and his patients, a staff that is beyond polite and caring, you need to make the move and just go see him, I promise you that you wont regret it.

Dr Kim and his team was very personable and took the times to explain everything to me, which I really appreciate. Love the full service from the text reminders to the educational cleaning session. I actually feel like I have a good idea of how my teeth and gums are now. It’s amazing the difference you feel versus a place that just churns over patients.

212 Smiling is the best Gentle dental office location in New York City. I have a fear of dentists, like many people do, but their sedation and cosmetic dentistry services are great. I had wanted a lot of work done, but because of my fears it was difficult, however their zoom teeth whitening and laser dentistry programs were so fast and easy I go right through it and looked better immediately. I recommend them highly, because they seemed to genuinely care about my feelings about them and not just about money.

I go to Dr. Kim’s office twice a year for cleaning and periodontal work. The staff is very skilled–their work is complete and effective. You can feel the strength and purpose in their hands, that they know what they are doing. They do a full periodontal evaluation, tooth by tooth. They have been very helpful in explaining the best techniques for brushing and cleaning teeth at home. The rates are very reasonable. You can find much higher rates in Manhattan but I doubt if the service would be any better. They willingly quote rates ahead of doing the work, and they always honor their quotations. They have always honored scheduled appointment times. The personnel are friendly and personable. Dr. Kim has a very considerate and attentive manner, and discusses things easily and fully.

Dr Kim is the best Prosthodontist I have ever encountered. I have bad teeth since I was in my 20’s and he and his technician made me partials that fit well with some adjustments. He also helped me with a aging bridge with root canal needed. Problem alleviated within 2 weeks. His staff are lovely caring people.

Dr. Kim is incredible, kind and communicative. I have an extensive dental history, so it is hard for me to find someone I am comfortable with and whom I trust. When calling around to find a new office, the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. My office experience was a pleasant one. Everyone was gentle and communicative. I was in and out quickly and painlessly. Highly recommend 212-Smiling!!

Dr. Kim at 212 Smiling is a wonderful dentist and has a great character. He has a good chair side manner and an office that runs efficiently. I am an orthodontist in Queens and have sent many patients to Dr. Kim and they were all happy with him. The feedback were positive whether patients started treatment with him or not. If you are looking for a great dentist, this is it. Highly recommended!

Dr. Kim was very reassuring that elaborate work was not necessarily needed – his thorough but conservative approach was just one of may things that made me very comfortable with him. It gave me great confidence in him and I am definitely going to continue my dental work with him. And additionally, his office staff were very friendly and helped me feel comfortable. This is the Best Dentist Office I’ve ever been too! Dr. Kim is kind and compassionate & makes me feel at ease. I used to be very anxious about Dental appointments & now I feel calm & relaxed and have had only good experiences there. Judy is a wonderful, caring Hygienist and creates a warm happy atmosphere & everyone in the whole office is friendly & helpful!!

I went to this office for a dental implant. The staff was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. They were very informative in answering any questions regarding insurance and paperwork. The procedure was painless. Dr. Kim makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Kim is a master of his craft!
