Dr. Peggy is a good doctor, very professional, and dedicated to her work. The process they do before any major procedure from what I can recall is that they put a gel-like substance to numb the area where they will inject you to fully numb the area where work will be done on your teeth. My guess for this is that way they don’t hurt you. Which to me that’s a plus because I do not like needles. Her staff are very skilled and knowledgeable about the process of dental work and helping you with any questions you got. They also provide recommendations on how to make your recovery less painful. My thumbs up to 4 Ever Smile Dental Group. Keep up the good work

I mean, what can you say about a dentist? Going to a dentist always sucks. But for me, it was voluntary–I guess. But Dr. Kang was kind and gentle throughout my entire procedure. She knows her stuff and her staff is so kind. Props to Maggie, The receptionist, and Yvette (My fav!). They made things so much easier and made sure I was well taken care of. After the anesthesia wore off, I was able to see the work that had happened on my teeth, a bit of bruising from the cleaning and my procedure but nothing hurt. But I called back to ask to see if the discoloration was normal. Maggie picked up and reassured me that the discoloration was from the minor bruising, nothing more. She was super awesome. I have to go back to finish the last step of my veneers and I look forward to it. I super happy with my smile now…after years of braces, pallet expanders, and extractions, I finally have the “perfect smile”…or as perfect as my teeth are willing to look. Any who, to top it off, I don’t think you can find better pricing ANYWHERE is Southern California. if you MUST get dental work done, you have to come here

We’ve been with Dr. Kang for at least 5 years now. The entire staff have been so welcoming and genuinely caring since the first day we took our son here when he was only 3.5 years old. I remember our little one being so scared and nervous initially, but Dr. Kang and her assistants all did their best to make him feel comfortable and at ease, and still continue to do so to this day. They get pretty busy and booked up, but are great at accommodating and working with our schedule. I also appreciate their following up, being organized and keeping a clean dental environment, as well as their appointment reminders via text. Thank you, Dr. Kang and team members!

I’ve been pretty wary about going to the dentist’s office ever since I was a small child. That was the only time I’ve had any fillings done, and the two I’ve had at that age has been pretty much it, thankfully. I made a vow to rigorously brush and take care of my teeth from that point onward, because that was the only way I could avoid the drill and the pain associated with it. So when I came in to 4 Ever Smile to see Dr. Peggy Kang last week, I was comforted by her assessment that I didn’t have any threat of cavities or any impending gum disease. In fact, overall, it was a great assessment. I did, however, find out that I have a habit of grinding my teeth while I sleep, evident by some minor wearing on my lower incisors. No other dentist ever pointed that out to me, and it was definitely a nice insight. The assistants and Dr. Peggy herself have a very amiable bedside manner; something crucially important when visiting the dentist, especially for young children. It helps put patients at ease and her explanations and deductions are very on point. She has the latest laboratory equipment and offers cosmetic dentistry procedures as well. This is a brand new office, and it is very welcoming, colorful, definitely child-friendly, as evident by the children’s themed waiting room and a couple of the patient rooms. They have a nice television in the waiting room to help pass the time. Surprisingly, the dentists I’ve been to in the past haven’t installed televisions in their offices, and still stick to the old fashioned magazine or dental literature to entertain patients and guests. The office is bilingual, so the staff can effectively assist patients who speak English and/or Chinese, though you can probably call to determine if there’s any more languages I’m missing. They accept most dental insurance and are flexible with those who may not have full coverage from an employer. The facility has plenty of parking and is easily accessible from San Gabriel Boulevard. It’s not too far north of the 10 freeway and, best of all, they accept Saturday appointments (because Lord knows I can’t do weekdays, especially from where I work in Orange County)! If you’re in the market for a dentist or haven’t been to one in a while, need a cleaning or some other dental work, Dr. Peggy and the team at 4 Ever Smile Dental is definitely one to check out

I normally don’t write reviews but I felt after all these years it was time. My Wife, both my girls and I have been coming here since 2016. I have been to several Dentist and would not change them for anything. They have always been gentle with my girls and made them feel comfortable. Yvette, Marlene, Alyssa and Tiffany the receptionist are the best! Dr. Peggy never tries to do more than what needs to get done. Love all the girls there. I highly recommend coming here. Extremely clean and conscious of their patients!

I highly recommend this dentist office! I’ve been scared of the dentist for years, but my perspective shortly changed after going here. The entire staff is really friendly and makes sure you’re comfortable at all times. Dr. Peggy Kang is the best! She does everything really fast and makes everything pain free. WOW….i FINALLY made a good choice for a dentist!!! i was surprised when i saw all these good reviews and a still a little leary….because i’ve had a string of bad luck with dentists lately! Dentists are NOT all the same…there are bad ones, i went to the same dentist for 8 years to have teeth cleaned every six mo. he never checked for tooth decay, which has now caused me a couple of grand…also dentists can’t do the job they say the can…there are others that will lie about pricing to get you in and then shock you with an extra $350 when you get there even though they have all the records and x rays needed …dam..dam…dam!! anyway….i finally went to Dr Yu in San Gabriel to get my root canal finished….and he is excellent…but he is a specialist…and could be more expensive. it’s nice to know that Dr Kany can do root canals also! i went to see Dr. Peggy Kang today for a crown…and what a great surprise it was to feel like i was in good hands!!! she proved to be a very good and professional dentist…her staff is very, very nice and her prices are good!!! i couldn’t ask for anything better!!! so happy i found her…and will continue to see her as my permanent dentist!

I went here as a recommendation from a friend who i later found out had an insecurity about dentist. Background: i went to a dentist for the first time in 8 years two months ago at another dental group that i have yet to review on yelp. They were nice, but the charges got racked up, similar to what other reviewers were saying. i felt like i was at a used car lot getting convinced to get undercoating and new tires every 10k. not pleased, but it helped my fear of dentists. my friend had said he liked this place not just because of the reassurance and ease anxiety but because he didnt feel like he was getting led to a land of hidden costs, unnecessary procedures, and worst of all, a huge dental bill. the Dr. Peggy Kang was super nice, even pointed out a potential cavity threat and what looked like a bad crown placement and asked if was in tooth pain. i was very happy with the results and will definitely come back as a regular. and this is coming from a guy who lives in huntington beach! because the best part, is that they’re actually open on SATURDAY!

I was referred to 4 Ever Smile by my fellow Mommy friend. My 5 year old son had one cavity in which my former pediatric dentist wanted to charge me $400 with sedation, and that is with insurance! Obviously, I wanted a second a opinion and I am so glad I did! 4Ever charged me half of the price and ended up being able to complete the cavity with laughing gas only. They were extremely patient and attentive with my boy and did everything they can to keep him distracted while taking x-rays and doing the filling. My former dentist couldn’t even get the x-rays from him! Thank you so much!! Only suggestion I have is to go over the pre-sedation checklist with parents over the phone, so they can know what to expect from the process and aftercare. My son had a fever a few days prior to the appointment and they would not able to sedate him. If they told us beforehand, we could save a trip just to be rescheduled. Luckily, they still saw him and were able to do it without the sedation. I am a happy parent and will be switching both my kids to 4Ever smiles now

I haven’t been to a dentist in 6 years. Yeah, I know, it’s bad. Among work, family, and every day life it was something that I put off for way too long. Honestly, the only reason that I went is because a friend talked me into going to his dentist. I am all over Southern CA for work, so I have an option to go anywhere, so when I was in the San Gabriel area I made an appointment to see Dr. Peggy Kang. The first thing I noticed about the office was how clean it was. This is extremely important to me. I am a neat freak, and the last thing I want is someone putting their hands in my mouth in a dirty office. Think about it… Setting up an appointment was very easy. The staff at 4 Ever Smile is friendly and customer focused. They followed up to remind me about the appointment, and getting the first time paperwork done was super easy. They accepted my insurance, so that was nice. Most importantly, the dentist was great. Dr. Kang was very gentle. I have sensitive teeth, and will admit I am a wuss when it comes to the dentist. Dr. Kang explained everything she was doing while working on me, and patiently answered my questions. She was also honest. She let me feel like I was part of the decision when it comes to what to do to fix my teeth. It is the first time I have been to a dentist and didn’t feel like I was getting a sales pitch

I am not an active reviewer on Yelp but I really want to leave a good review about my latest dental visit. Dr. Peggy Kang was so detailed and gentle so I would like to share with everyone. I was referred to her by my friend and scheduled an appointment on a Sat. There was no long wait like other dental places. The staffs are very friendly and I was checked in within 15 mins. Dr. Kang checked my teeth gently and immediately discovered something my former dentist wouldn’t find or talk to me. I was told that I brushed my teeth too hard and I will lose my teeth if I keep brushing in the same way. She was not trying to scare me in order to get my business. She asked me to compare the teeth and gum which I brushed harder with the inner part which I didn’t brush that hard. I have had some sensitivity from those teeth and gum for a year. My former dentist has never mentioned or examined in further. I am so glad that Dr. Kang pointed this out and I will be more careful with my teeth in the future. She has so much patience with me and would answer all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Peggy Kang to anyone!

I was so blessed finding this Dentist that accepts my insurance on an emergency basis. Long story short I had a toothache when camping and when I walked thru my door I yelped and called several Dentists. This was the Dentist that had a pleasant & calm demeanour and was able to take me in asap. The front desk were awesome and getting my paperwork and file together. I’ve been to many dental offices and this is probably the best one so far. 1. Staff: the staff has always been so friendly and genuine! A trip to the dentist isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I can tell it’s almost second-nature to them to go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and accomodated for. Dr. Kang is very gentle and meticulous in her work. She offers advice for better oral hygiene care and I could tell she cares for her patients AND their teeth. Everyone is so nice here! 2. Facility: Clean and bright. The walls are decorated with whimsical hand-drawn Disney characters and I feel that adds a great touch to the kid-friendly ambience. This is a plus to any kid who lives Disney..and I’m a big kid who seriously loves Disney. Kudos to the art! Another plus is that there is a small TV screen in every dental seat and movies (think Big Hero 6 and Minions) are played for your entertainment. The lobby is bright and colorful. There is a TV constantly playing a movie for the kids to enjoy. There is a table with crayons and the like, with books and other tidbits for kids to busy themselves with. 3. Location: Situated on a corner and easy to spot, there is plenty of parking to be had. It’s never been an issue for me to find parking, which can prove to be very convenient if one is running late for an appointment. All around, a great place to take your kids and adults for a great dental experience. Dr. Kang will take great care of your teeth!

I have not been to the dentist in years…and of course as luck would have it a piece of a molar just broke off i was even eating anything hard…anyway i had to no doubt no questions asked ABSOLUTELY had to make an appointment. I live in Covina but I wanted something close to my job for convenience. I google dentist in San Gabriel and looked for one that was open early that I could just walk in to. 4Ever smiles was the only dentist open i think at like 8:30 or 9AM—and they would take my insurance and accept me as a walk in that same day, so i rushed off to my new found dentist nervous as a mofo and was greeted nicely by the staff (who are all amazing in their own right). I checked in and expected to wait a while since i was a walk in, but to my surprise i was seen within 15 minutes of my arrival…they looked at my teeth who were also not in so bad a condition for someone who hadn’t gone to the dentist in almost all her adult life…anyway… Dr Kang (AKA Angel Hands) said the most awful words to me, “You’ll need a root canal on this broken molar before i can cap,” AAAAHHHHH a root canal…We scheduled an appointment for the following week, which by the way gave me enough time to get other’s personal accounts of their root canals, nobody had a good experience, anyway nest week came. Again, I came in and was seen at the time my appointment was scheduled for, was given some crackers from one of the girls lunches because i hadn’t ate anything and Tiffany said I should have something quick, so i did and then it started…And I can honestly say that I felt nothing. This Dentist is magical, even the first day when she put in a temporary i felt nothing. She has the most gentlest hands. And the prices i know i didnt pay anywhere near what my brother’s dentist wanted to charge… The staff is great, the work is quality and painless, and the prices are out of this world affordable. Do yourself a favor and visit Dr. Kang

Front staffs are nice which is rare around the area as well have the dentist and hygienists. They tell you what needs to be done and gets it done with care at a very reasonable price! It is always risky and stressful when trying to find a trustworthy dental service. Some may appear to be reliable, but are often very expensive, and seem only focusing on upselling their patients; others may lack of the skills and attentiveness, which can make patients feeling very uncomfortable, especially when we are concern of our condition but with very limited understanding of what’s going on. That is why I find Dr. Kang and her staffs at 4Ever Smile Dental so refreshing, as they are not only friendly and accommodating, but more importantly, they show genuine concerns for their patients. Both my parents suffered severe dental conditions that required delicate procedures (root canal and implants). And being elderly with no dental knowledge, they were undoubtedly nervous about their conditions. Yet, Dr. Kang patiently explained the condition to them each time they asked (and they had asked many…). She and her staffs provided detail explanation on the procedure, and helped them decide what would be the best solution, instead of just forcing procedures and treatments that are excessive and unnecessary. The procedure was fast, and with no side effect, both of my parents were extremely satisfy witht the result. Furthermore, Dr. Kang and her staffs proactively followed up after the procedure to make sure my parents recovered accordingly. Needless to say, my parents and I continue entrust our dental health to Dr. Kang and her 4Ever Smile Dental group. It is not everyday that a service provider truly think and act on behalf of the patients’ benefit, and by doing so, Dr. Kang and her staffs have won over our trust always

My son is in his 50’s. He had problems with a particular tooth that was difficult to remove. Two other dentists tried but the pain was so severe we left. Dr. Kang removed it pain free in just a few moments. We have remained with Dr Kang as my son has proceeded to have all his teeth taken out to make way for dentures. Dr. Kang is very patient and thorough. We are so satisfied. The office is very clean, the office staff very friendly and helpful. This dentist is very unprofessional. They are only concerned about the customers money. The crown work they did was terrible. They rushed through the procedure assuring me it was going to be okay. They damaged teeth that were perfectly fine without. I have had pain in one of the crowns since the beginning and a second one fell off. I thought i was going to a good dentist because of all the good reviews on yelp but after my experience i question their validity. I dont recommend this place. There are better dentist near this place

I never thought my first review will be about a dental practice, considering people come to Yelp are generally looking for the next gourmet eatery. Yet here I am, sharing my experience about a dentist with a genuine heart and her group of warm, helpful staffs, who make each visit an exceptional experience, a phrase that I doubt many would often associate with a dental practice. I have been a customer of 4EverSmile for past 6 years, and I genuinely feel the commitment and kindness that Dr. Kang and her staffs offer each time during my visit. They are always thinking on our behalf and treat us with compassion and care, instead of just another “patient”. Recently, with the Covid-19, many are having great concern about safety, worrying about the potential risks when visiting medical facility. I know many of my co-workers refused to visit their dentists worrying about unsafe environment due to the pandemic, even if they are suffering from serious dental conditions. Yet, Dr. Kang and her staffs pro-actively reach out and introduce a series of safety measures and practice to help each visitor to feel safe and well protected. For example, providing early check in, shielding, and waiting area to ensure proper social distancing. At a time when many businesses are struggling, Dr. Kang and her staffs still put their customers’ safety and satisfaction first and foremost. Given the current situation, it is not only difficult to locate a practice that can still offer full services, but at a comfortable, safe and trusted environment is almost surreal. However, Dr. Kang is able to do just that, and that is exactly what makes her practice so exceptional in my opinion. I am very grateful for Dr. Kang’s effort and kindness, especially during this unsettling time. My kids love Dr. Kang and her staff! Everytime we walk into the office we get a warm welcome. Dr. Kang is very patient with my kids and she takes the time to review their xrays with me everytime. She goes into great detail explaining any treatment needed. Her staff is amazing!! Yvette always makes sure that our visit went well. Scheduling appointments are always so easy, they are always very accommodating. And let’s not forget the wonderful paintings in each room that makes the kids feel so relaxed along with the TVs and all the movies the kids can pick from. Dr. Kang is simply the best! I was referred to Dr. Kang by a friend, and I am so glad I found her 🙂 Like most people, I am not a big fan of going to the dentist. As a matter of fact, I almost always try to find excuses not to go. A while ago, a friend mentioned to me that his dentist’s really good and asked if I wanted to give her a try. I was hesitant at first, simply because of my own personal fear. I decided to go so I wouldn’t end up with rotten teeth in my mouth.. 😀 My first impression of the clinic: CLEAN and BRIGHT. My first impression of Dr. Kang: She’s got a really pretty smile and good teeth (Would you trust your dentist if his/her teeth are yellow? I don’t think so) I gave her staff my insurance information and was quickly escorted to the x-ray machine to have images taken. Her assistant was very nice. Shortly after the films were taken, Dr. Kang began working on my teeth cleaning. She even asked if I wanted to watch TV 🙂 Overall, I felt Dr. Kang did a great and thorough job in cleaning my teeth. I explained to her how I always have a hard time flossing my back teeth and she gave me a free “reach” floss.. she also noticed I had a small chip on my bottom front tooth, and said I must grind my teeth at night; this is something I already knew but no other dentist before Dr. Kang had ever made any suggestions on what I could do, as a patient, to protect my teeth. Dr. Kang recommended a night guard for me and took my impression to have it fabricated. I cannot thank Dr. Kang enough for her friendly yet professional mannerism. I also cannot thank my friend enough for referring me to her. After my positive experience here, I don’t think I will be as afraid to go to the dentist anymore 🙂 If you are looking for an honest dentist who truly cares about her patients, look no further

I had been a patient of Dr. Peggy for many years, Dr. Peggy and her staff are professional, friendly, efficient, and gentle. I couldn’t be happier! I have had people tell me that their teeth/mouth were sore for weeks after having gotten crowns done, but my crown procedure was relatively painless and there was almost no recovery time needed. I felt a little bit sore for a day but then was totally fine after that. Dr. Peggy was great during the procedure and totally put me at ease. It was a great experience all around! Ok well let me start off by saying this I usually don’t write reviews so by me writing one tells you this office is special. So I went to this office (walk-in) and was greeted by the front desk receptionist Yvette she was very nice and explained everything to me. They said I would have to wait a while since I didn’t have a appointment which I was ok with. So I grabbed a seat in the waiting room which is awesome they were playing the minion movie and they also have books and a small table for kids which I thought was also a plus for kids. So as I waited watching the movie I hear my name called out waited no more 10-15 minutes. So I get seated by Marlene one of the assistants in the back. She starts taking x-rays of my teeth she was very fast and gentle when doing so. As I waited on the chair also watching another movie because they have TVs attached to the chairs to keep you entertained, in comes Dr. Peggy Kang greeting me also and we start talking about what she’s going to do and asked if I had any concerns with my teeth which I did told her I felt sensitive in a area and said she would take a look. So after she took a look at my teeth I ended up having 2 cavities (got scared) but she eased my nerves by explaining the process which not many Drs do. So as the dr was explaining in walks Yvette (the receptionist) to talk about pricing cause I don’t have insurance she gave me different options on what type of filling I wanted so I went with the white filling and she gave me a really good price. She asked if I wanted to do the fillings same day or make another appointment but I decided to get them done same day. So right away after Yvette was done explaining Dr. Peggy came in to numb my teeth (I hate needles) but she is very good because I didn’t feel a thing she told me it would take a while to numb so meanwhile another assistant walked in to do my cleaning her name was Maggie. She was also nice and gentle when cleaning my teeth she let me know know some of the areas that I needed to concentrate on brushing more but overall she said my teeth were good! After she finished the Dr came back in the room finished my 2 cavities and headed to the front desk to pay (they accept cash or credit card). I was out in like 30-40 minutes which was fast considering I walked in and got work done! Mostly all of my family comes here now my Dad got some crowns done and my nephews love this office. So I did a search on yelp and read thru all comments and decided 4 ever smile dental group to be the best candidate for this task. Book the appointment and sent her in with mommy. At the end of the day when she got home and ask how it went, she said it went smoothly without a drop of tear and that’s make my mission complete. She has two roots canal and fillings done to her front teeth plus cleaning without tears, that must be a very gentle hands. My daughter is not a brave young one. If she can handle it without tears, it has to be a great and gentle dentist. Next appointment is a NO problem for her. HIGHLY recommended for pediatric or anyone not fond of dental works. Price is very reasonable and clean office with dedicated staff. She can’t wait to see you again Dr.Kang!

There is a belief that going to the dentist is never a pleasureable experience for anybody, but 4 Ever Smile Dental Group challenges that theory. A few weeks ago I saw Dr. Peggy for a routine cleaning and to get impressions for teeth whitening. To my delight, all aspects of the dental visit were exceptional. I have an erosion along my gum line so I never look forward to seeing the dentist. I was greeted warmly upon entering and the lady at the front desk even changed the TV channel to my preference. We exchanged friendly dialogue, and I was then taken for X-rays in a very easygoing yet professional manner. Afterwards, I was escorted to another station for my cleaning and was given the remote to change the channel again to the TV station of my liking. There was only a few minute wait before Dr. Peggy entered and started cleaning my teeth. She cleaned my teeth while showing great care and concern for the sensitivity along my gum line and even gave me recommendations on how to minimize the sensitivity long-term such as using an alternative toothpaste. The impressions were also done in a very considerate manner. I left the office feeling clean and refreshed. There is nothing more I could have asked for from 4 Ever Smile Dental Group. The professionalism and care and exhibited by the entire staff made the experience enjoyable. My highest accolades go out to the entire office

I will be coming back for regular check ups. I don’t try to look up for a dentist until I start feeling my tooth aching. When I found this dental clinic by using the Yelp rating, I really just want to solve the problem of my toothache. Dr. Kang is really a great dentist because she walked me through the process on how to properly take care of my teeth. Not only did she filled my cavity with excellent care, she took the time to make sure my newly filled cavity does not create any discomfort. I truly appreciate her professional medical expertise. I walked out of her dental office as someone whose faith in good dental visit has been restored. I am a teacher and I will be recommending this clinic to all my students’ parents as well. p.s. I took my 2.5 yr old daughter here today for her first dental cleaning. The offices that were on our HMO plan seemed sketchy and had bad reviews so I looked around on yelp for pediatric dentists to see how much it would be just to pay cash. I called 4 Ever Smile and the staff was very friendly, gave me a totally affordable quote over the phone and I was able to make an appointment for my daughter that coming Saturday. You read that right, they are open on Saturday, yay! The office was very clean, had cute child themed paintings on the walls and had a small table and books to entertain my daughter while I filled out the short paperwork. With smiling faces, they took us back right away, no wait at all. Dr. Peggy was very good with my daughter, comforting her and using kid friendly names for her tools. Too many sweets and not enough brushing left my daughter with a lot of plaque to c lean off but Dr. Peggy got it all and my little girl didn’t even need a break. No sedation needed like some other offices recommend. She even gave us a minute time so we can track our brushing time and a little trinket toy to boot. 🙂 Thank you Dr. Peggy for making my daughter’s first cleaning a good experience!

We weren’t happy with our nephew’s previous dentist so we decided to yelp and try out 4 Ever Dentist due to all the great reviews. The location shares a lot with another office. When you walk into the dentistry, it is very clean and nice. Very nice front desk employee whom helped process paperwork quickly. When we were in a room the dentist assistant was very nice towards our nephew. Talking to him making him feel comfortable. After she X-rayed and cleaned his teeth, Dr. Peggy came in to inspect his teeth. She was very very detail in her assessment. She explains what he needed to be done so there will be no surprises for the next visit. We came out understanding exactly what will be done and how much out of pocket costs it will be for his upcoming appointments. After the visit she gave him a little gift. I would highly recommend Dr. Peggy if you have kids. She is very warm and welcoming. We are so happy we finally found a great pediatric dentist for our nephew!

I had been a patient of Dr. Peggy for many years, Dr. Peggy and her staff are professional, friendly, efficient, and gentle. I couldn’t be happier! I have had people tell me that their teeth/mouth were sore for weeks after having gotten crowns done, but my crown procedure was relatively painless and there was almost no recovery time needed. I felt a little bit sore for a day but then was totally fine after that. Dr. Peggy was great during the procedure and totally put me at ease. It was a great experience all around! I’m glad that Dr. Peggy is our family’s dentist!

Super friendly staff and dentist. Out of all the dental offices I’ve talked to, the receptionist here is the most patient and helpful. I’ve hated the wait times at dental offices so I refused to go for years but Dr. Kang saw me within 15 mins of my appt. The prices are also very reasonable here. She didn’t try to sell us anything extra. My bf also had his root canal procedure done here and she explained the treatment to us in details with lots of patient. I’m so scared of going to the dentist but after reading the reviews here I felt I had to give it a try. After my initial consultation with the Dr I’m 1000 percent ready to get my work done. We spoke about all my different options laughing gas or local anesthetic. She told me that I probably want need the gas put I’m a chicken so I look forward to doing the work. The two women that helped me at the front desk with all the insurance verification was great also
