Dental emergency concerns presenting with extreme discomfort, inflammation and infection. Due to a recent aneurysm and stroke any infection puts me at high risk. I emailed their office Saturday and was seen Tuesday! Doc ordered extensive X-rays and determined I in fact had infection that spread from a previous root canal to another tooth beside it. In one week he was the third and final Dentist opinion I recieved. the doctor/dentist was very warming, competent, took time to explain in detail the prognosis and set up an appointment immediately with specialist to perform the needed care to be given.

i honestly have never left a review for anywhere before, but reading the reviews helped me decide to book an appointment with them so i figured i would leave one! overall it was a great experience, the office is really cute and details feel very thought through. i don’t like going to the dentist usually, but they made it enjoyable and easy. i believe my hygienist was Mason and he was very sweet and did a thorough job cleaning my teeth while also taking the time to explain everything that he was doing and why. they also have a wide range of services and offerings which i’m excited to learn more about. the whole team seems wonderful and i am happy i found them!

Dr wood and his staff are Top notch!! Going to the dentist even for routine preventative appointments can be so stressful for some and they all put everyone at ease every time. I saw Dr.wood at a different practice and followed him when he opened his own because I never want another dentist ever again and all three of my kids love them too. 10/10 Absolutely recommend

Where do I begin? This is only the second dentist office I’ve ever been to and I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Wood! From the layout of the office, to the staff and his personal call to check in after I had a couple fill ins, I recommend everyone to come here. He’s truly one of a kind, passionate about his craft and changing the perception of dental visits. I don’t dread going to the dentist anymore and I don’t fear getting advised to do unnecessary procedures. I could go on and on about 4th Street Dental. Best dentist I have ever been to. My experiences with dentists and their offices before were never negative, but Dr. Wood demonstrates how doctors can go above and beyond when it comes to their patient’s experience. Super cute office at a very convenient location if you live in the University Area or any surrounding neighborhoods. Always parking, adorable art and lobby, etc. Loved the addition of TVs to the ceilings, especially when I had to go in for a few longer procedures. The dental assistants I have had experiences with have been incredible, always giving me detailed explanations for all the questions I have (without making me feel stupid, which is a huge plus!). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dentist.

Dr. Woods and his staff are by far the nicest most professional dental group that you will find. His staff was very respectful and made me feel welcome and at ease and easily sociable. I’ve had some of the worst/painful experiences with dentists. Dr. Woods has dispelled all of those fears. He is very gentle with your mouth and frequently checks to make sure that you’re comfortable. Dr. Woods is indeed a selfless individual who makes you comfortable enough to watch an episode of anything while he’s working on your mouth. I’ve never experienced this level of professional ease. Glad I decided to call 4th St! Everyone was very nice. You can tell customer service is important to them and that is rare these days. Julia my hygienist did a great job. I have never had someone so gentle yet very thorough and detail oriented. She explained to me everything she was doing and took her time Dr. Wood was very friendly and professional. I had a very great experience here. I went for the first time a couple weeks ago and felt so welcomed. The clinic is so nice, clean, and comfortable. Not to mention how stylish the decor and interior design is! They even have tv’s on the ceiling so you can enjoy your fav Netflix show while leaning back to get your teeth cleaned. Dr.Wood is so friendly and we were talking about all kinds of different topics during my visit. I felt like he had been my dentist for years even though that was my very first appointment. He made me feel so comfortable. And, he continuously asked me if I was feeling ok and if anything hurt while he cleaned my teeth (which it didn’t). I can’t wait for my next visit! 🙂 P.S. New patients get a free, professional at-home teeth whitening kit! So take advantage while you can!

I had the same dentist my whole life and I had to find one in Columbus once I settled here for good. The doctor and assistants and everyone here made the change a comfortable one (as pleasant as a dentist could be imo). The environment was relaxing and all the operating chairs have TVs above them so it makes your appointment go by quickly. Afterward, the billing and scheduling are done so well it takes the hassle away from your next appointment. The coolest feature to me was the text messages they send you. They send you reminders, such as to complete pre-appointment paperwork and to confirm your appointment, and they also send you thank you texts after you do stuff. It just adds to the easiness of the whole process with 4th Street!

I visited Dr. Wood and 4th St Dental after a VERY BAD experience at Victorian Village Dental Care where they chipped my tooth. I had recently relocated from Chicago so had only visited the previous dentist three times. Dr. Wood was friendly & conservative in his care. He basically said I didn’t need all the fillings that the other dentist said I did. He fixed a chipped tooth that was damaged at the other dentist and charged 1/3 of the cost. I felt Dr. Wood listened to me and wanted to make me feel comfortable since I have dental anxiety and TMJ. He is an amazing dentist. During my cleaning/check up in December, he asked about my kid in college. His attention to detail amazed me since this was only my 3rd visit to the office. The practice is modern with cutting edge instruments and a tv on ceiling to watch while you’re getting work done. They don’t charge crazy fees e.g. to write a prescription like I was charged at Victorian Village Dental Care and they’re not there to just make money by saying you need fillings that you don’t need. 4th St Dental Studio is truly about the relationship with the patient and bringing the best care. I will recommend Dr. Wood and 4th ST Dental Studio to everyone I know looking for a dentist.

I loved my experience, the office has a feel good vibe and great music while you wait. Ivanna was an exceptional hygienist, my teeth felt so clean after my appointment. Scheduling was a slight hassle because of how booked the office is, but that should tell you all you need to know. Dr. Wood was very pleasant and thorough. My one suggestion is more time spent going over the treatment plan, I felt somewhat rushed when the insurance piece was explained. Overall, would return, who knew the dentist could be so fun!

Moving to Columbus, I was worried about finding a good dentist that didn’t charge an exorbitant amount. I corresponded with Jodi, in the office, and she was always so very kind and helpful (whether by email or in person). Mason was incredible. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing, answered any questions, cleaned my teeth better than I’ve ever had done, and gave me some tips as to how to keep my teeth in tip-top condition. Dr. Woods is very knowledgeable as well; I felt as though he listened to everything I was saying and wanted to come up with a game plan to correct my concerns. Another thing I appreciated, is I felt as though he was doing what was necessary for the health of my teeth, versus trying to sell unnecessary things or procedures. Overall, this is the most comfortable I have ever felt at the dentist. Starting from the office, to the hygienist, to the dentist, they all helped make an incredible first experience.
