I’m in town for an educational conference and was having some pain from a recent filling. I randomly asked a waitress and she recommended “8 to 8 Dental”. I checked out the reviews and they looked pretty stellar, so I decided to give it a try. It turns out that my bite just needed adjusting, which is pretty minor. The staff was incredibly nice and the dentist was fabulous. I payed a little less than 30 dollars for the x-ray, and the kind dentist did not charge me to re adjust my bite. Super cool office, super great service, professional and prompt. If you live in the Seattle area, I HIGHLY recommend “8 to 8 Dental”!!! 🙂

I love 8 to 8 dental. They are really well organized, clear communication on what’s expected of the patient, the visit, and the cost. All the staff are extremely professional and friendly. The clinic staff have always done a great job. They’ve told me information about my teeth that other dental offices in the past have not told me. I don’t request a specific dentist b/c everyone has been so great. Also, wait time in the office is minimal and i am always able to get an appointment quickly—within the next week or two. I went during the pandemic, and they are taken great precaution to minimize contact and sterilize the exam rooms with online screening about covid symptoms, calling to enter the lobby, temperature screening in the lobby, exam rooms are covered with plastic screen curtains that are magnetically sealed, air purifier in every room and proper PPE for all clinic staff. I definitely feel safe going to the dentist during the pandemic with 8 to 8 dental.

I really like the style of this office. It has a clean, modern look and the operation goes by quite smoothly with very convenient hours!. My last dentist had a very “old school” setting and I didn’t feel too welcomed whenever I came in for a visit. Here the staff was friendly and the Doctors were very helpful. They set up a game plan for me to get my teeth in better condition without pressuring me. I definitely feel in control of my own health

David B. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I have enjoyed only very positive experiences during the past few years that I have been a regular patient at 8 to 8 Dental, Capitol Hill. From the office staff, to the assistants, hygienist and dentists, everyone has been consistently friendly, caring and professional. They are very thorough during the current viral pandemic. I had a back injury before my most recent visit and they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable in the dental chair. Plus, their business hours can’t be beat!

Maggie Stone (Source: Google)

I have been going here for a few years and trust the doctors and hygienists very much. They have always been honest, caring and friendly. They’ve never hid anything from me or tried charging me more then we discussed. They have a discount if you sign up with their membership ( free of charge ) and will apply it if your insurance doesn’t cover something. They’re not open 8 to 8 anymore due to COVID but they are always accommodating with my schedule. My anxiety to go to the dentist has gone away since being a patient here and I have to thank them all for that. Great crew, THANK YOU!! 🙂

Kira K. from SeaTac, WA (Source: Yelp)

Customer service here is always prompt and amicable. It’s very important to make patients feel comfortable and helped, especially at a dentistry where patients are usually anxious and uneasy. But here, they do their best to show that the customer comes first an that they are in good hands! The location is convenient, especially as a student who goes to UW, so it’s very close and the office space is clean, organized, and inviting!

Veronika J. from Bellevue, WA (Source: Yelp)

Have been coming here for over two years and I can safely say I have loved going to the dentist! Something I didn’t picture myself saying. I have seen a million dentists over the years and have never really had any positive experiences until I found this place. I have seen many dentists at this location and everyone has been nice, professional, realistic, and awesome! Highly recommend this place!!!!! Update: years later I still love this place even more if that’s possible

I put off going to the dentist for YEARS because of fear. Dental work is my nightmare fuel. Everyone here made me feel so welcome and so at ease right off the bat. I’ve never had a smile I didn’t feel like I needed to cover. Today, they fixed it and I’m sad it took this long but so happy I can finally smile without having to think about it. I didn’t feel any pain (except a couple tiny pinch’s) and they listened to all my questions and concerns. A huge weight has been lifted, and amount of gratitude I have for these professionals is immeasurable. Thank you

I’ve been going here for a little while now, and everyone that I’ve worked with has been really helpful and friendly. I went in specially to ask about whitening my teeth before my wedding and Nate gave me a recommendation based on my goals and the short time frame that I had. One of my front teeth has a dead nerve inside, so it is darker than the rest. The take home mold and trays that Nate recommended worked wonders, and really quickly! Super happy with the results and the new friends I’ve made here

Just wanted to come and leave a quick review- On Saturday 3/2 I left work early with some severe tooth pain. I was able to walk in to 8 to 8 on Capitol Hill and was back seeing someone within 30 minutes. The staff was warm and we joked around at the front desk. The dentist and assistant were both just lovely. Today I went in first thing and had an upper back molar extracted. I have a TON of anxiety (in general, but in regards to the dentist it is severe) due to past interactions I had had, so I haven’t been to the dentist in so many years. Even though I still felt so anxious and wanted to run, everyone was so kind and made me feel as good as I was ever going to!! Bless the poor assistant, I kind of made him hold my hand at one point but he was so wonderful. I go back for a follow up in a couple weeks, and I honestly am excited about continuing my care with them, and finally getting my teeth fixed. I wish I could remember the names of everyone (especially my dentist!) but in this hazy post extraction moment, I can’t recall. Everyone was wonderful. Cannot recommend them enough!!

The entire staff at 8 to 8 from receptionist to Dental Assistants to the Dentist were very friendly and professional. The appointment was prompt and on time, it resolved my aching tooth problem with a simple procedure. I was so impressed with their service I joined their Membership Plan in so doing they added my bill for services today to the cost of the $120.00 membership for one year, so basically I received my first appointment and treatment free of charge! I will continue using 8 to 8 for all my future dental needs and have dropped my previous long term dentist for them.

I had a great first cleaning here recently. I was most surprised with the amount of time I got with an actual dentist here. At a typical dentist visit, I’m used to seeing the dentist for a minutes or two. Dr. Thongin, though, did the exam and the cleaning himself – and it was a wholly different experience. It was fast, thorough, and there wasn’t a single accidental gums jab the whole time. Maybe even more importantly, the visit was free of the typical uncomfortable session of getting pressured into purchasing additional unnecessary dental treatments. I got honest, straightforward recommendations from Dr. Thongin without any guilt trips. The staff was welcoming and friendly, there’s parking in the building, they’re open til 8pm – all in all, a great spot

Chris K. from Lynnwood, WA (Source: Yelp)

My experience at 8 to 8 dental was by far exceptional. The dentist and the staff was very thorough and professional. Dr. Thongin is a well informed and knowledgable dentist who took his time to explain my treatment and the procedures involved with me. I never felt pushed to schedule any treatments like my dentists experience I’ve had in the past. Their membership price is also very reasonable. I was please with my service.

Rosa K. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

My husband and I came here after reading reviews online and we are very happy with all the services we have had here. We have been clients for almost 3 years now and between the two of us we have done work on cavities, implants, cleaning, deep gum cleaning, routine check ups, and extractions. We love dr. Thongin and his staff. Plus if you don’t have insurance they have a great membership plan and work within your financial needs. Both of us are covered but we have recommended family and friends who don’t.

Regina A. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I had to get a root canal. It was terrifying in my head, but actually getting the procedure done with the team at 8 to 8 was totally fine and not scary at all. A root canal wasn’t scary. They were super helpful dealing with my anxiety, after-care (I came in a few times after for checkups) and explaining everything. They are awesome!

Nick C. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

My first dental experience here was more than I could ask for. As a kid I hated the dentist because I thought every procedure was going to inflict pain in my mouth. I was hesitant, but I knew I had to get my teeth cleaned eventually. The office is nice and clean. 8 to 8 Dental front staff gave me 110% customer satisfaction and Julie the hygienist was very considerate to my fear of the dentist. Would definitely recommend.

Katie Orcutt (Source: Google)

Lived up to the reviews! Amazing facility, staff and pricing. Membership plan is key for those of us without insurance. Cost me $412 for two composite fillings and a cleaning. Seriously reasonable. I’ve actually paid more when I had dental insurance. Doctor and assistant were friendly and knowledgable. Clean, great atmosphere, high tech equipment. I love this place and will recommend 8to8 to everyone. They also have a $29 exam/x-ray special for first time patients. Awesome! *Edit – i’ve read the negative reviews and they all seem centered around the fact that the office will not do a cleaning without first doing an exam/x-ray. That’s how it is everywhere, at least every office i’ve been to in the last 20 years. Yearly exam and x-ray are always required. I see nothing wrong with that – if anything, I am wary of a place that will send their soldiers into battle without first knowing what the field looks like.

Anna Atiagina (Source: Google)

My favorite dental clinic here in Seattle. I’ve tried a few before, and even though some of them were decent, I never felt so welcome as at 8 to 8 🙂 Friendly stuff, great quality of work. After two years visiting 8 to 8 (for cleaning, checkups and a couple of cavities) I moved to another neighborhood, and here I have two (!) dental clinics right next door to my new apartment but I keep coming back here because I feel more comfortable at 8 to 8, I think it means something 🙂

M S. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

Such an amazing place! Especially for anyone who may have slight anxieties about visiting a Dentist. The staff are all friendly the assistants are great and caring and the Dentist is so wonderful. My biggest fear has always been the needle itself as I’m sure is most people’s fear too, but at 8 to 8 Dental it was completely pain free and comfortable! I feel a lot more confident and comfortable visiting the Dentist now after my experience at 8 to 8 Dental and can’t recommend this practice enough to anyone who may be dreading or putting off a trip to the dentist. You will be in very good hands.

Angela B. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I would like to add that I Loathe going to the dentist. All my previous experiences have been riddled with discomfort on all levels and I really appreciate the fact that this team clearly acknowledges that many people also feel this way and go to great lengths to make a person feel welcome ( as opposed to the sterile guest service of most dental offices) and they actually go overboard on ensuring your comfort ( tv’s in the room, clear explanations of each step, and providing refreshments while you wait …. Treats rule!!). It’s great to have such a laid back neighborhood office. It’s also nice to look in and get a wave hello when I’m walking by. Super great place. ( and really flexible payment options as well)

Ryan D. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

The staff at 8 to 8 Dental were extremely professional and friendly!  Very streamlined process getting my first appointment on the books despite the COVID-19 situation and was pleased with thoroughness of the examination and cleaning.  In contrast with my previous experience at Gentle Dental, I didn’t feel I was getting nickeled and dimed, nor did I feel like they were pushing expensive procedures on me.  Highly recommend!

I am a new patient and heard good things from a coworker and because this is in the Capitol Hill it makes it a convenient location. I get nervous/anxiety at the dentist so I have often neglected going but I knew I should go. This place so far has exceeded my expectations. I have two more visits to complete all the necessary work but so far I am so happy that this is my dentist. The doctor and assistant were absolutely kind and thorough and non judgmental. I believe his name is dr koo. Highly recommend getting him and they are very good during the pandemic. Check temps outside. Really can’t say anything bad.

I have been going to 8 to 8 for 4 years and after todays visit, wanted to express how thankful I am for this practice. It is a bit nerve wracking going to the dentist, especially during the Covid-era but they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. When scheduling my appointment, they made sure I received a dentist that can work with my anxiety. The dentists and assistants were professional, to the point and made sure I was comfortable- they even applied lip moisturizer at the end of my visit! I also felt at ease when my temperature was taken before entering, they had air filters in every room, everything was covered with disposable plastic, and everyone had on masks and face shields. They really go above and beyond here, and even though my new commute will be further, I will be returning.

Abigail L. from Houston, TX (Source: Yelp)

My new dentist and I love it! Their 8am – 8pm schedule makes it so easy to make an appointment. Customer service is AMAZING and the office is so cute and nicely decorated. They play cute animal videos in every patient area which they say have helped a lot of people calm their anxiety and it has definitely worked for me as well. They also provide laughing gas for people who absolutely fear the dentist. I’ve never tried it, but it sounds fun lol. Overall, I’m so happy I found this place!

Tao S. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

Just had the root canal done today and it was such an easy and enjoyable experience. My spouse and I have been going to 8 to 8 Dental since we moved to Seattle from California last year. And every time we always have a very positive experience. A month ago I broke my front tooth crown and the dentist was able to help me and put a temporary crown at the same day! The permanent crown looks very good as well. There was also one time one of my upper teeth hurt really bad then after I called them, they squeezed an hour in the same day to take care of it. How efficient! Before the root canal operation, I was so worried and scared it might hurt, but the dentist was very professional and it did not hurt at all. All the staff there are very friendly and they always go through all the expenses before I decide what dental procedures I want to do or not. It is transparent without any hidden fees or surprises, and very affordable. We also had our teeth cleaned regularly there as well. Highly recommend no matter you want to just clean your teeth, or you want to do crown, root canal, implant, or any other dental work.

Caroline W. from Fremont, Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

LOYAL PATIENT FOR LIFE! We all know finding a dentist is daunting and that the dentist is no ones favorite place to be, so having a good one matters a lot. This team is spectacular. My first appointment was 2 months ago on the recommendation of a coworker. It’d been a bit and I was anxious id be “scolded” for the condition of my teeth. But this team is cheerful and encouraging from walking in the door to explaining procedures fully to creating thoughtful treatment plans to cracking jokes to keep your spirits lifted. I’m embarrassed to admit I had 4 follow up appointments to address a crown, multiple fillings, and a cleaning. Every time, the assistants were consistently kind, encouraging, and engaging. My dentist was friendly, remembered me each visit, kept me laughing/encouraged in a genuine non-cheesy way, and was clearly highly knowledgeable. He also kindly explained my treatment plan as we went and was careful to check in with me throughout each visit. In my visits I also overheard the other dentists in other rooms and they all had a similar professional yet kind demeanor with other patients. I’ll be coming here for the foreseeable future for sure! I’ve already recommended 3 friends.

Katie T. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I’ve been here a couple times already. The first time I was here, I didn’t have dental insurance yet, and they had a deal for an exam and xray for $32. It has been awhile since I’ve been to the dentist and my wisdom teeth were growing in, so I needed to get it checked out. The office itself is very clean and modern and very friendly staff. I met with Dr. Thongin the first time, he was very thorough with the exam and was able to answer all my questions. He understood my concerns and assured me that there is no rush (but obviously not wait it out too long) to take care of my wisdom teeth. He sent me a referral and the staff was helpful in forwarding my xrays and setting up my next appointment. They were also very clear on what I needed for my next exam, and told me I could do it all in one sitting or break it up as I pleased. I had my cleaning and sealant done with Dr. Park. They told me the process would take an hour, it only took 30 minutes, and they were thorough and efficient! Overall, really good experience here, will be coming here often.

Kurt Stradtman (Source: Google)

Amazing experience. I don’t have dental insurance so I had a difficult time finding a dentist that can work with my budget. I went in for just an exam to establish a plan of care, and in the middle of the exam they asked if I’d like to have a cleaning that day! I thought I was going to have to book this as a separate appointment and take time off work, etc. (Side Note; obviously they had the time and probably don’t do this all the time!). My teeth after the cleaning are beautiful and a great confident boost. I also loved that they weren’t milking me for money – they indicated the top priority of treatments I needed done, and said the rest was important but could wait. Great staff and doctors.

Christine Thrasher (Source: Google)

I love 8 to 8 Dental, I signed up for their membership and Care Credit when I didn’t have dental insurance, and got a lot of fillings done. Also my friend is a dental assistant here which makes it pretty easy going, plus one of the Dentists likes to play R&B jams while he works on you and there’s TV and everyone is really friendly. I’m an interior design student, and I appreciate the style of the waiting room as well, it relaxes me.

Lisa H. from Bothell, WA (Source: Yelp)

8 to 8 Dental is the best Dental office I know of! I will never take for granted quality dental care again. I was an old patient of Dr Thongin, the founder of 8 to 8 Dental, many years ago and was very happy with his service and care. His office relocated and I chose not to follow him due to the driving distance. My next few experiences with dentist were painful and problematic leaving me regretting ever leaving Doctor Thongin. I decided to try and find him again, and found him at 8 to 8 Dental. I will never go to another dentist again. Not only is he the best dentist ever, extremely knowledgeable, skilled and precise in his work but his associate dentists are as well. He is very particular about the dentists he selects to be on his team. They are all very personable and talented. 8 to 8 Dental provides dental care not only for myself but my whole family, and their discount dental program makes it affordable for me as well.

Thor G. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I have had some bad experiences with dentists. Poorly done work several years back and a recent dentist in the Seattle area who consistently attempted to double charge me and my insurance and used guilt to get expensive procedures done that were unnecessary. 8 to 8 Dental has been the opposite of my experiences with dentists so far. The facilities are wonderfully designed, the staff is friendly and professional and the dentists are great! I have now worked with both dentists at the Broadway location and they explain the work to be done, go over all options and really treat their patients with respect and care. Your practice is a shining example and I no longer dread dental appointments because of 8 to 8 Dental! TL;DR: – friendly staff – personable and communicative dentists – zero guilt if you come in with some messed up mouth issues – billing is discussed over the phone, when you check in and gone over with a separate person from the receptionist (this is important!) after your appointment – great locations and building design – better hours than any dentist ever. Saturday? Hours until 8?!? – Easy email communication, no call in only to an angry receptionist from 9-4 when they decide to pickup the phone Just the Best. Dentist. Ever.

Marco H. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

First off, visiting 8 to 8 dental was my first visit to a dentist in over 3 years. They are right around the corner from me, so I selected them for my first dental visit due to their proximity to my house. I am so glad I chose 8 to 8 Dental. It is a great dentist office. The lobby of the office is very comfortable and its arranged such that you can feel some privacy when you are waiting. There is a coffee bar stocked with coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. I don’t really understand the hot chololate and cider in the dental office bc they are sugar loaded, but the other beverages were nice. The treatment I received was top-notch and i’m glad I wasn’t upsold on any treatments. I honestly felt that the treatments suggested by the Dentist Park were geared toward maintaining health teeth, rather than geared toward selling me things I did not need. Also, thanks to Dentist Park’s skills my teeth feel immaculately clean! One person who especially stood out on my visits was the dental assistant Nicole. She is supremely professional, competent, and caring. She made the Dentist’s job effortless, which allowed him to focus on my teeth rather than to focus on what tools he needed. While the dentist was away, she made every effort to ensure I was comfortable in the chair and she regularly asked me how I was doing. There is not question, that even when i move away from cap hill, I will make this my official dental office for the rest of the time I a here in seattle.

I was traveling in Seattle for a quick trip and had a crown coming loose. I called around and found that 8 to 8 was still open just before 5:00. The staff was friendly and told me to come in and the doctor would work me in to his schedule. It didn’t take long and I was back on my way. Great staff, friendly people, wonderful service, super clean, and well kept. If I lived in Seattle, that’s where I would be! Thanks Doc!

Robin H. from Seattle, WA (Source: Yelp)

I just moved to the area and therefore needed to find a new dentist. I initially found that this place was close to home so I figured I would try them out. First impressions were that the place was modern and clean. The staff was polite and considerate. I had an initial visit and a cleaning and both experiences were great. I was surprised that the Dr did his own cleanings but I thought that this was a nice change. I will be going back in 6 months for another cleaning and I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a dentist. Oh and because they are open later, it is nice to know that if there was ever an emergency, I could get in without having to leave work early.
