Doctor Nichols have been the dentist at first for me and then about a year later for both my wife and my son for eight years.  He and his staff especially Daria had provided us with the best dental services that we could ever find.   I typically don’t write reviews about my current doctors but after eight years with Doctor Nichols, I owed it to his excellent services to put out this review.  Doctor Nichols is the most caring, knowledgeable, and throughout dentist that we have ever known and we are thankful to have him as the dentist for our family.

THIS DENTIST OFFICE IS AMAZING!!!!!!! I recently moved to Huntington Beach seven months ago. The thought of finding a good dentist in this area was very important to me. I did some research and found Dr. Nichols of Yelp. My whole life the thought of going to the dentist made me sick to my stomach.  Not anymore, Dr. Nichols and his whole staff are fantastic. I felt so at ease.  I would give this office a TEN STAR if I could. Dr. Nichols is so knowledgeable and extremely attentive. The dental hygienist Katie is SPECTACULAR. Hands down the best Hygienist I have ever gone to.  She did an amazing job.  My teeth have never looked better.  I’m going to bring my whole family here now. Thanks Dr. Nichols and staff for making this experience so wonderful. Now I can say ,I don’t  mind going to the dentist anymore. This Dental office is awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Let me just start by saying that I have been to a number of different dentist in the past and Dr. Nichols is by far THE BEST dentist I have ever been to. Him and his staff are knowledgable and extremely friendly. He explains things in a way that doesn’t make you feel guilty for doing certain things (like drinking coffee and “forgetting” to floss) and gives you lots of ideas to help you prevent problems instead of having to fix them in the future. I have always had a fear of visiting the dentist but now I seriously look forward to my visits with Dr. Nichols. Oh and he is funny too! I live in Irvine and drive to Huntington Beach to see him; I would drive farther if I had to! Beyond amazing!

Here’s an update: I moved out of California two years ago but I still travel to OC for my dental appointments. Dr. Nichols is that good! He is honest, effective, and genuine PLUS he and his awesome assistant, Daria, just make the experience enjoyable. How they do that can only be magic.

this review is long over due.  i’ve been a patient of dr. nichols for many years.  i can always expect & trust that he will take care of whatever i need.  dr. nichols is extremely professional, very knowledgeable, kind and caring.  if he can’t help you, he will alway guide you to the right referral and check up on you to make sure you’re ok.  my recent experience with him was over the top.  dr. nichols saw my dementia mother who requires 24/7 care.. poor guy..very challenging situation.  he was amazing with my mother. he was so kind & sympathetic and very respectful of her.  the appt went well with no anxiety to my mom.  he thanked my mother for coming in.  he made her so happy.  his office staff especially his office mgr doria is a god send.. they are very professional, accomodating & caring.   with our sterile culture today, these guys are a find.. diamond in the rough.  you can find a dentist but you can’t find a friend that you can trust to look out for you.  i can go on & on…  dr. nichols is hilarious (req a lot of comedy to keep my mother going) and he’s creative.. paint and plays guitar in the office.

A good friend of mine highly recommended Dr. Nichols. It was literally the best advice I’ve ever gotten. Dr. Nichols is fantastic! His fees are reasonable and his dental skills are top notch. I saw Dr. Nichols initially because I had one broken and one cracked tooth. Personally I didn’t think either tooth could be saved. After some x-rays and a consultation with Dr. Nichols, he got down to work and thankfully he was able to save both teeth. I could not possibly be any happier with his work! More recently, I talked to Dr. Nichols about doing some cosmetic work on my lower front teeth, which were quite frankly a misaligned mess. Wow… once again Dr. Nichols greatly exceeded my expectations. He built me a custom bridge that looks amazing!! If you are looking for a new dentist, you simply can’t go wrong with Dr. Nichols! I highly recommend him.

I need to give Dr. Nichols WAY more than 5 stars.  The biggest fear I’ve had my whole life was going to the dentist.  Frankly, I’ve neglected my teeth for more years than I want to admit.  Many nights I would wake up in pain but still choose to neglect going to the dentist.  This past July the pain became unbearable and I had to get some help.  My first encounter was with Daria, Dr. Nichols’ assistance.  She was absolutely wonderful…very personable and friendly.  Made me feel at ease right away.  Then I met Dr. Nichols.  He’s a gem.  He’s thorough, gentle, patient and respects all my concerns and helped put it at ease.  I have since gone back to see him twice and will be needing several more appointments in the months to come.  I didn’t feel any pain during my visit.  Just so sorry I wasn’t introduced to him sooner.  Thank you, Dr. Nichols and Daria.  I’m your patient for life no matter how far away

Today I had an implant inserted by Dr. Nichols.  I was a bit nervous going in….and didn’t really sleep last night while my mind raced with all the possible things that could occur.  This is the first time Dr. Nichols has ever treated me….but I jumped in with both feet!  During our consultation several weeks ago, I felt very confident that he was comfortable and experienced with this procedure, so I scheduled the appointment.  This morning I was amazed that I was in and out of the office in just over an hour.  Dr. Nichols was precise in his assessments and his execution and I felt at ease during the procedure.  I experienced some pressure during the first hour following the procedure, but the Ibuprofen I took in the office kicked in and I am very happy and surprised to report that I have not experienced any discomfort at all the rest of this day.  I was able to take a long nap this afternoon then followed with a couple more Ibuprofen this evening (before any discomfort could occur).  I highly recommend Dr. Nichols  and he will treat me for all future dental procedures I may need.  If you’re looking for a dentist that can make you feel comfortable; that is honest; and most importantly skilled in his field…..this is the dentist for you.  Thank you to Dr. Nichols and Daria, his Dental Assistant, for making what I thought would be an unbearable situation more than bearable.  I am truly grateful.

Recently, while flossing, I had a filling fall out and was really worried about how much  it would cost to fix. So after calling around to some well rated dentists Dr. Nichols was the only one that offered a free consultation to check out my tooth before giving me a price. At the consultation they actually took X-rays of my tooth to get a proper look at it before deciding anything. Then Dr. Nichols had a look, told me what he thought and told him to let them know if I wanted to schedule an appointment to fix my tooth. He was professional and thorough, all while being friendly and relaxed, making me really comfortable. The price they quoted me was VERY reasonable, and even though I ended up rescheduling my next appointment 3 times, usually fairly last minute, they never gave me attitude for it, which I appreciated. Also, Daria, his dental assistant/receptionist, was wonderful! Hopefully I get insurance soon so I can make him my regular dentist!
