Friendly staff, in and out quick, and the whole staff was there to help me with my anxiety. The office manager Valarie was courteous and helpful, and the dental assistant Melissa was top notch. Dr. Sweeny and her entire staff were amazing.

Beautiful office located super conveniently in my neighborhood, very thorough team that efficiently moved me through several procedures in one morning. Valery Sweeny herself is friendly, patient, explanatory, and direct. And all the staff were too. Finally feel like I found a dentist I want to return to, they accepted my Cigna PPO with fair prices and transparent breakdowns for all procedures.

Dr Sweeny was referred to me by a close friend that has been a patient of hers for many years. I was great full to discover that her office is conveniently located on Sunset Blvd in my neighborhood of Silver Lake. Dr Sweeny has made me feel at ease and also makes me laugh. She is a true professional from the first moment of meeting her. Dr Sweeny’s charm makes you feel like family. The first time I walked in her office and was greeted by her lovely staff from the drilling in my teeth – Dr Sweeny’ s team has covered all the necessary basis. She also has an in house insurance specialist that will provide you with the necessary support to cover all of your insurance costs. Dr Sweeny is my favorite dentist in LA and I have tried several dentists all over town throughout the years. She is truly the best!!!

Dr Sweeney is awesome! Sweet, kind, gentle and professional. Her new office staff is up front and efficient. She takes great care of her patients! Reading all these negative Yelp reviews of my awesome dentist is so upsetting. It’s obvious most of them are folks who didn’t take care of themselves and then expect miracles. Also, good Dentistry isn’t cheap! The old saying is as true in dentistry as any other line of work…you generally get what you pay for!  Dr Sweeney isn’t cheap…but she is definitely cheaper than my old “Beverly Hills” dentist and the care is better! She never tried to “sell” me anything! You rock Dr Sweeney!

Their office has undergone a wonderful remodel, off ce has unbelievably sweet and gentle staff. Dr. Sweeney corrected my bite issues and fixed a couple crowns beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with this dentist.

Dr. Sweeny is not only extremely competent, but very patient. Neither she, or any of her excellent staff, are condescending. I have experienced great discomfort with dentists that have brushed off my fears and dismissed my questions. Dr. Sweeny listens and explains. Then she does the job, diligently.

I’ve been going to Dr. Sweeny for many years and she is the best dentist!  I’m terrified of needles but not with her.  It is never painful when she gives me the novocaine shots.  She is super gentle and I would highly recommend her to my friends and family.  She is also so sweet and nice.  She truly cares for her patients well being, constantly asks if you are okay while she is doing any dental work.  I will be her patient as long as I have my teeth.  I’m always scared to get dental work done, mainly because I’m terrified of needles and drilling, but not with Dr. Sweeney.  Thank you Dr. Sweeny for making all of my visits less scary.

I have a real serious phobia of the dentist. The team at Dr. Sweeny’s office makes sure I am completely comfortable when I’m in the chair by constantly checking on me asking if I’m ok. They call and text to check on you to after the procedure to make sure you’re good. They are very attentive. Not to mention affordable. I’m very fortunate to have stumbled upon a dental office with great staff that takes care of yoh as if you were family. I reallly do mean that. They are great with children and scaredy cats like me.

My experiences with Dr. Sweeney and her team is always seamless. Provided my busy schedule, the receptionists are always accommodating to my last minute requests. The team is genuine without any gimmicks or sales pitches. Dr. Sweeney’s humble professionalism makes the dreaded visit at the dentist a pleasurable one.

Absolutely wonderful. I had a tooth that desperately needed to come out, was told by other dentists I needed a special surgeon etc. All the fancy surgeons cost a fortune. The tooth was massively infected and I was at my wits’ end. They were able to make an appointment for me right away, the entire staff could not have been friendlier, more helpful & professional. They even dealt with my insurance & discovered I had benefits I never knew I had. Oh, and also, I am a dentist-phobe so I was anxious and probably even maybe a little rude, but they handled me with grace and were un-phased by my neurotic behaviour. Dr. Sweeny took the tooth out on the spot, in a matter of minutes. I was covered by insurance & look forward to getting the implant with them too. What a relief to find such a lovely dentist.

Dr. Sweeny and staff are the BEST!!!! Everyone is very friendly and patient. I look forward to my appointments every time. Dr. Sweeny is VERY knowledgeable, professional, and gentle. I was traumatized as a kid from my old dentist… Never again! I refer all my friends to Dr. Sweeny. My mother and grandmother are also patients of hers and they love it! Very pleased with Dr. Sweeny and staff!! 🙂

I found Dr Sweeny 10 years ago when I lived nearby – I live 40 miles away now and still make the drive because I must – the best dentist ever!!! She and ALL of her staff do great work, and are friendly and kind as a bonus 😀

I went to see Dr. Sweeny for a regular dental check-up.  I chose her office because it’s local.  I am very happy that I did.  The entire staff was helpful and I really felt catered to as a patient.  She was straightforward with her analyses and offered lots of advice.  I’m glad I chose to go to Dr. Sweeny; she is very professional and has a great bedside manner.  I can honestly say that with Dr. Sweeny as my dentist, I don’t dread going to the dentist but actually look forward to it.  Melissa, the dental assistant, is also very kind and helpful.  If you’re looking for a dentist in the Silver Lake area, give Dr. Sweeny a call and make an appointment.  I’m glad that I did!

My wife and I are both patients. Valerie’s Staff is Friendly and understanding and Valerie does wonderful work. She and her staff always checks in with me periodically during the procedures and always does their best to keep me comfortable in the chair.  They Help us better understand when we have questions about what work they are doing and the administrative billing involved.

Valery is the most thoughtful, attentive dentist I’ve ever had. She cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. Not to mention the fact that she’s incredibly knowledgeable and a total pro:) Everyone at the office is really kind. They always make you feel welcome.

Valery and her team are incredible. They are personable, compassionate, professional and fair! Having been seen by Dr. Sweeny for a few years now, we have built a pretty good history which is super helpful and makes it easier to keep coming back. Valery and her crew are great with kids too (mine mellow out somehow every time we’ve come. ) I’m in the office just about every week to swap out my Invisalign trays and I feel right at home. Being here has seriously encouraged me to keep up with my cleanings and check ups because once my trays are done, I won’t see these wonderful women as much. I love being around these wonderful, empowering women!

I’d give Valery (and Val) 7 stars if I could. They’re great, the office is really mellow, and they put up with my nonsense like some real pros. Namely, when listing my allergies (of which I have none) I wrote “dentists” and they found it funny. Or at least pretended. They’re lovely here, it’s great care, and weirdly – I am looking forward to going back. 🙂

Dr. Sweeny and her staff handled my dental emergency with the utmost care, concern and professionalism. This was my first visit. I look to Dr. Sweeny for regular continued dental care. They were all so kind as to accommodate me on an emergency basis when so many other offices were closed completely due to the pandemic..

Valery and her team are great. Their hours are offset from standard work hours, so it is easy to schedule an appointment. Their services are high quality, her administrators are adept, and her assistants are skilled. They are able to accommodate quick appointments if you are having a serious problem. I think the prices are above average, but you get what you pay for. Plus, the chairs are massage chairs…

I Just discovered Dr. Sweeney through a promotion I bought during the holidays. I was very happy to hear they took my health insurance and was willing to accommodate my needs. Dr. Sweeney is super sweet and knows how to take care of her patients. I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist based on past experiences but she definitely changed my mindset. I’m so happy to have found a great dentist. Caring and knows how to make you feel comfortable. The office is nice & clean. The staff are all really friendly and warm. Super welcoming! Highly recommended

Dr. Sweeny is a ridiculously good dentist. Sweet, professional, and experienced. Not sure what some of the negative reviews are about, but they have to be one offs. Been to going to her for years, and she knows her stuff. It’s bad enough knowing that a dentist is coming at your teeth with spinning metal drills, but somehow she makes it work. I guess she just has that touch-

My first phone query went well, Val was so effusive&helpful, she evidently has a lot of experience in this field which is not required for a great client service experience, but was apparent&made a difference for me to really look forward to my first visit. Once again, upon arriving…she addressed me by name& got me registered with a genuine smile& disarming nature. Melissa, the hygienist, is experienced&gregarious, she explained everything she was doing with radiographs&what i will expect in my first visit as well as bantered with me about some travels, weather we had touched on which really took my mind off to the uncertainty of my visit. What Stands Out For Me The Most is Melissa telling me that Dr Sweeny will be in to speak with me FIRST, before the rads!! That has never happened to me at any dental appointment, Ever. Usually, you meet the dentist after uncomfortable X-rays& it’s brief,  head is spinning; what about my X-rays,how good or bad is it?  Dr. Sweeny blew my mind because she was sincerely, naturally conerned about me as a whole  human, not just gums, teeth, mandible she discussed my overall well being  which is as important as the reason why a patient is there that day for their teeth… It’s really all related. Your body , immune system, life style&well being are inseparable, to acknowledge this is GoodMedicine&forges a path to lifelong, beneficial DoctorPatient relationships, best way to stay healthy&prevent or get through dental obstacles=staying onTop of oral health. It is tantamount2 wellness as bacteria is delivered into our bodies via unhealthy gums&can affect our heart, other vital organs&overall health. It’s not Just about straight, white teeth, which are easily accessible these days. Dr S took the time to show me&explain my teeth with a camera designed to comfortably navigate your mouth., She explained my X-rays&talked about suggestions 40yr old fillings down the road, which i’d never been shown b4 but was wondering about, Nothing urgent,let’s make a plan,up to you. Dr. Sweeny is the most professional, kind, and caring dentist whom I could find. She will explain to you, step by step, any procedure that needs to be done. Her staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I met somebody many years ego when I needed a dentist who recommended  Dr. Valery Sweeny. Me, being afraid and reluctant, I had to say, “Whatever, I have to do it !”. Because she was so gentle with me, it never crossed my mind to look for another dentist. One visit and I knew I was in good hands.

Visiting Dr. Sweeny’s office is always a pleasure. Dr. Sweeny and her staff take away the worry of coming to a dentist office. Amazing practice. Dentists usually stress me out, but everyone here was kind and patient, and they clearly care about you having a good experience. The receptionist, assistants, and doctor were all professional, non-judgmental, and excellent at communication. Also they don’t waste your time, but don’t make the experienced rushed either. Bonus: all the equipment is super modern. My chair gave me a light massage as I got my xrays done!!

My 7 year old daughter left the dentist and said, “I like that dentist.” Dr. Sweeny seems to be a kind and caring dentist. She came out to meet me once she was finished with my daughter and I felt great vibes from her. We will be returning soon for my daughters cavity.

Dr.Sweeny is great! I had no problem with the actual teeth portion, it was the insurance accuracy. Make sure you triple check with your insurance and her office if they are in-network at the time of your visit.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sweeny since 2007 (I was 14) and from then up until now that I am 21, she continues to be my favorite Dentist; I have ever had. She’s very kind, helpful, very knowledgeable, and she has helped me overcome my fear of dentist because she is so gentle. Alongside Dr. Sweeny, her staff Kourosh and Melissa are very kind and welcoming as well making every visit very enjoyable. The office is very clean and up to date in its technologies, also the office has very convenient, free, and private parking (silver lake is a very difficult place to find parking elsewhere). From tooth extraction, deep cleanings, to customized night guards, and even to a simple tooth cleaning Dr. Sweeny is the ideal DDS for the job. I believe that if you are interested in good work, and a very honest dentist who is not just out to take your money, rather give you a positive experience and great insight regarding your oral health. There is no doubt in my mind that in years to come I will always be a patient at Dr. Sweeny’s office.
