Dr. Fishlyn has been my primary dentist for over 20 years and I am very happy with the work he has done for my dental health as well as the strategies he has created for improving or protecting my teeth.  I was in a car accident more than 35 years ago that caused serious damage to my mouth and teeth.  I have had a series of bridges and other remedies over the years – none of which lasted.  Dr. Fishlyn has changed all of that with a final and permanent solution to my unique dental needs.  I am very satisfied and recommend him to anyone in need of dental care

How can I say how amazing Dr. Fishlyn is? I went through two other dentists in LA before I finally found him and then never left. He is deeply kind and gentle and funny and attentive and so good at what he does. He has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion when I’ve had a tooth emergency, getting me into his office ASAP and then with calm, reassuring capability, fixing whatever issue brought me to him. I have never met another doctor or dentist of any kind that genuinely cares as much as he does both about his patients and the quality of his work. I’m not overstating that. It’s really true. His office staff clearly loves him and are always gracious and on the ball. Highly recommend to anyone

Dr. Fishlyn is in one word – AMAZING! The staff is always friendly (especially Fernando) – they’ll even put money in your meter if time’s running out which is a life saver in Santa Monica. They are always more than accommodating, professional and do great work. I’ve been going to Dr. Fishlyn for most of my adult life and would never go to another dentist again! Everyone I’ve recommended him to agrees! I would (and have) recommend Dr. Fishlyn to anyone and everyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Fishlyn for over 15 years.  He and his staff are patient, helpful and compassionate.  Before starting to see him, I went for many years without seeing a dentist, and I was afraid of what he might find, or what services he might try to sell me.  Other than some minor work (a filling or two), and a really good cleaning, he simply set me up for regular twice-yearly cleanings, and it’s been easy ever since.  I don’t know what I’ll ever do after he retires!

WOW. Whoever thought I would write a review for a dentist! I’m terrified of dentists; however, not anymore. I had my first visit with Dr. Fishlyn a few weeks ago. Like Ryan H. wrote: it’s dental paradise. My friend referred me and after meeting with wonderful Suzi, my hygienist, and Dr. Fishlyn, I was completely at ease. I am uninsured and need a lot of work done, and Dr. Fishlyn is endeavoring to keep this affordable for me. What a nice man. His practice is quality “old school,” and completely unlike the horrendously expensive dental factories where the dentists don’t even have time for a simple consult. I am scheduled for the more heavy-duty dental work next week. I am actually looking forward to it!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Fishlyn’s office. From scheduling my appointment (Fernando even called later on to tell me they had an earlier appointment available if I wanted it) to getting my teeth gleaming, the entire process was easy and enjoyable. And that’s a lot to say about a dentist! The majority of my time was spent with Suzi, the hygienist. She was incredible! Careful and informative. She did everything as if I was a prized possession and talked me through the entire procedure. She even offered to numb me for the cleaning (I declined, but definitely nice to know I have the option). She sent me home with toothbrushes and tips. Dr. Fishlyn also examined me to make sure the rest of my mouth was in order. As soon as he found out we went to the same university and had the same major (economics!), we became friends. He’s genuinely caring and you can tell he loves what he does. I’ve recommended this office to all my coworkers and wanted to recommend it to all your Santa Monica Yelpers as well

I went to Dr. Fishlyn’s office today as a first time customer. I was greeted by Fernando, who scheduled my appointments and handled the billing. He was probably one of the friendliest office manager’s I have ever dealt with in a medical office.  I waited less than 5 minutes before being taken back to the exam room by Suzi, the dental hygienist. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She even gave me some flossing tips that no one had ever told me before. Finally, I saw Dr. Fishlyn who was very nice and seemed knowledgeable and to really care about me as a patient. Even though I was a first time patient, everyone in the office treated me well.  I plan to be a loyal patient to Dr. Fishlyn’s office

Ditto to every positive comment below. I’ve been going to Doc Fishlyn for a decade at least and referred a dozen or more people who’ve had nothing but glowing remarks. Fernando could not be more helpful and pleasant to deal with…Suzi the hygienist is the best and knows her stuff…and Doc is an excellent Dentist, is very professional and has a great sense of humor. He came to the office one weekend to help my Brother-in-Law, who had an abscess, and he fixed him up until he could get back to Tucson and his charge was extremely fair. Homey feel to the office and a great Doc and staff. Try it, you’ll like it

I saw Dr. Fishlyn today for the first time.  I broke a tooth and needed to get in right away.  Daisy was so accommodating with my crazy schedule, and got me in the next day.  They were right on time for my appointment, and when I didnt have my insurance card under my husbands name, they called and got the information.  Dr. Fishlyn is incredibly warm and welcoming.  He took his time with me, and explained every step of what he was doing, and didnt try to tell me that I needed a crown.  Just an easy fix with some bonding stuff…I am not a permanent resident of Santa Monica, but am so glad I have somewhere comfortable to go when I am here..

One time I cracked my crown in half, called him that night and he was able to come in early the next morning to help me with it. He’s easy to talk with and seems to care a lot about my wellness, listening carefully to what I have to say. Anytime I’ve had larger dental issues, he’s connected me with the best specialists in Santa Monica – one time he called a root canal specialist on the phone while I was in the office and sent me down to the street right then to see him. I feel like I get great care from Dr. Fishlyn. I sincerely hope he never retires because I don’t think I’ll ever find a dentist as good as him!

I live in Rio Rancho NM and had to get a root canal today to save a tooth that was infected About 30 years ago I was attacked by a former tenant who was un happy about being evicted .Dr Fishlyn put a crown on my broken tooth . I asked Dr. Fishyln how long does a crown last and he said “about 10 years” ,that was 30 years ago.I had to have the crown drilled thru today and it was still in good shape

Well no surprise reading all  the rave reviews for Dr Fishlyn. He and his amazing staff deserve every compliment and more. I love this office, the garden views are very refreshing. Dr Fishlyn is an amazing dentist, very friendly, fair and explains everything in great detail with options you can choose from. The staff, the girls at the front reception are all very welcoming and accommodating. I go back many years to the first time I saw Dr Fishlyn. I you have any doubts choosing this office, throw them out, you will be very happy with your decision to go . Amazing office and services, yes indeed ..

30 years or more. I can’t remember how long I have gone to Elliot. I think of him as my dentist for life.  I hope he never retires.  I now am living in Nevada, near Las Vegas, so its a long drive to see him.  Still for me, its the only way to go.   GREG LE  DUC

I was referred to Dr. Fishlyn by a friend who also works in the area and not just he, but his whole office and staff were great. They squeezed me in when I mentioned I had a wisdom tooth coming in and that I was concerned about it messing up my alignment. I also decided to schedule my cleaning with them at the same time since I was due. I showed up to a cozy waiting room and filled out my paperwork and waited a few minutes before being direct back to a room. Suzi, the wonderful hygienist that everyone else has mentioned came in and reviewed my history with me, why I was visiting and set up my x-rays. She even double-checked that my insurance would cover the x-rays before taking them. She was thorough, friendly and extremely nice. Then, Dr. Fishlyn came in and took a look at everything after my cleaning. He noted some things and was honest in saying they didn’t need to be addressed right away if I didn’t want to. I think that was one of the things that impressed me the most, no shock value and no scare tactics of you need this now or we’re using this tool to make you think you have cavities when you don’t. I got the a-ok, a toothbrush and some floss and headed down to check out with Fernando. He was on the phone but someone else helped me schedule my next appointment and when I had a specific question, they suggested I wait for Fernando to get off the phone. Once off the phone, he answered my question and rescheduled my appointment so it would fall in line with what my insurance allowed yearly. I’ve never really looked forward to going to the dentist, but Dr. Fishlyn and his staff makes it as pleasant an experience as it can be and are honest and for that I am grateful and will be returning.

Dr. Fishlyn is a caring, kind and skilled dentist. I found him based on a referral (over 15 years ago) and I’ve since referred several other friends his way. I first went to see him after many years of not properly taking care of my teeth, and he got me all cleaned up and back on track. He’s punctual, reasonably priced and the newly remodeled offices are clean and modern. The hygienists who have cleaned my teeth have all been thorough and everyone in the office has a great positive attitude.

First visit yesterday. Dr. Fishlyn, Stacy, and Daisy handled my visit with infinite patience and kindness, despite my many fears and questions. As he worked, Dr. Fishlyn took the time to find out what helps me feel more comfortable and even had Stacy take notes so they could make things easier for me next time. Although I am anxious about dentists to a ridiculous extreme, I actually look forward to my next visit. The  office itself is quite pleasant — from the chair you face big windows looking out to a small greenspace. Very calming. Highly recommended

OK – who would have ever thought anyone would give a dentist five stars?  The mere idea of having to GO to the dentist certainly ranks on a negative scale but Dr. Fishlyn and team make this inevitable chore less painful… they do quality work, are friendly and efficient and, hey, you can gaze out the window at their parrot, Mango, during warmer months to help distract and destress you.

Dr. Fishlyn, aka Elliott by many of his patients, was initially recommended to me by colleagues over thirty five years ago. He has provided superb dental care for myself, my wife (a former dental technician who quickly recognized what a fine dentist he is), & our son ever since then. A graduate of UCLA dental school, Elliott is not only highly skilled & insightful but also one of the most down-to-earth, sensitive professionals I’ve met. In addition to evidencing expertise, nothing instills trust in a patient like compassion. Elliott exemplifies these traits. Even though he has a busy hectic practice, he always provides adequate time to treat my family — which is an important issue since, for the past two decades we have had to commute 95 miles round trip for our Saturday appointments. BTW, his examination rooms provide a unique garden view that has a calming effect during your visit. He also maintains a personable efficient staff. Nancy, his chief hygienist, has worked with him for decades & is highly proficient, knowledgeable & personable.His pricing is also fair. I cannot recommend Elliott too highly.

I’ve been going to Dr. Fishlyn for over 15 years and recommend him to everyone who asks me if I know a good dentist on the westside.  He’s kind, knowledgeable, and his procedures are as painless as they get.  The hygienist, Nancy, is equally good.  They make a great team.  And the front office staff will deal with the insurance company for you whenever billing issues arise.  If you’re looking for a dentist on the westside, you can’t go wrong with Dr. Fishlyn.
