It’s been awhile since visiting a dentist, and this staff truly put me at ease. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt less anxious and relaxed, due to the atmosphere. I really appreciate the fact that the office staff go above and beyond,  to make you feel more at ease. Before coming to this dentist, I was a complete dental coward. Now it’s not so bad.

After moving from the Bay Area and have had the same periodontist for 15 years, I knew it would be challenging to find a replacement. On my second try I( I went to another dentist first), I found Santa Monica Dental Practice. I was attracted to the practice because they showed pictures of dog companions for patients while in the office. Sadly, they do not have this service now but I stayed for my first check up and tooth cleaning. The hygienist was very gentle and Dr. Sabet seemed nice but on my second visit, I knew I had found my dentist! I had been nursing a molar for years, trying to avoid the unavoidable extraction. I called to get an appointment and was given an appointment about four weeks out – I wasn’t concerned about the wait as I had lived with this problem tooth for years. I realized after I had made up my mind to go ahead with the procedure, I was now eager. I called back and was fit in the schedule much earlier with dentist Dr. Perline Akavan. My new dentist! She was so calm and patient. The procedure went very well, an extraction and bone graft. I was always afraid of a bone graft after periodontal surgery where they use your own tissue to build receding gums but Dr. Akavan told me i the graft was sterilized bone granules in some sort of gel so I relieved to learn I would not be my own painful donor.
Day of surgery- knowing I would need a few hours, I scoped out parking only to find out it was permit only and my recourse was to park at a meter. No problem, I whip out my credit card but the meter would not respond. I even moved to the next meter with no luck. I had few coins so fed the meter and went to check in. I was greeted by Jennifer, who came to my car to help! Card still not accepted, she proceeded to fill the meter and went out again to extend the time when needed. I was amazed at the level of service and had no stress about the meter which in turn, relaxed me for the extraction. Well, initially loving the idea of a dog at the office but none to be found, I opened my mind to give these professionals a try and wow, am I grateful for them. Being a ‘one dentist woman’ , I know I have found mine for many years to come.

I just went to this dentist for the first time today and I was so pleased with my experience. After doing careful research regarding his skills and practice, I made an appointment to discuss some dental issues I had. I found Dr. Sabet to be highly skilled, pleasant and easy to communicate with regarding my dental needs. He also has a caring and efficient staff that instantly makes you feel you are in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Sabet and now look forward to going there for my dental care

I’ve been coming to this office for some time now and I absolutely recommend it. The staff is super friendly and professional. It’s very easy to make an appointment that fits my busy schedule. Emily and Jennifer are truly the best and always go above and beyond to meet my needs.

I really love coming to this place they are so welcoming and make you feel so comfortable. Their RDA Gieneva really takes her time to ensure your comfortable and knows exactly what is going on so you are completely aware of every thing they are doing and going to be doing to you. They are the best!

Dr. Sabet…and his entire staff…are wonderful folks that do a tremendous job. His wife, Jennifer, is the office manager. When it came time to consider what work needs to be done, the cost of the work and what my insurance covers; Jennifer did a fabulous job in walking me through the whole process. The dental assistants, Crystal and Geneva, are top notch…kind and considerate. I would highly recommend having your pearly whites cared by Dr. Sabet and his rather capable team

I was on a vacation in Santa Monica when i got a really bad toothache – i called this practice and they examined and removed the hurting wisdom tooth immediately without the need for an appointment. Seriously i walked in two times without any appointment and i hadn’t had to wait for more than 10 minutes. They were really helpful, professional and understanding and scheduled everything immediately so that i could continue my trip without any pain! Everyone was super nice i can only recommend this practice to everyone!

Super friendly staff. They explain everything thoroughly and make sure you don’t have any unanswered questions. The office itself is very clean and modern and has a zen like vibe. The dentist can be intimidating for some people but here they really go the extra mile to make you feel at ease

My friend recommended me to go to Santa Monica Dental Practice and it was the best decision I have made in regards of my dental care. When I got there I didn’t have 32 teeth I was missing some and others where in bad shape. After just a few sessions I’m happy to say that have all my teeth including the ones missing (: I HIGHLY recommend them, they are professional, friendly and they provide outstanding services
