I loved my experience here, I made an appointment one day last year and had a flexible appointment the next day. I am in the army, as well as a full time student at northridge, not to mention i participate in school and sport events. I am very busy and nobody knows how long a homework assignment can take, however, the people at Smiles Northridge are flexible enough to work with me. With the high cost of living in California and the high cost of me being  a college student it is not easy to budget in  a necessity such as a visit to the dentist, but they went the extra mile here to work with me and they left me very satisfied, not to mention they were very polite and I felt very welcomed! I would definitely recommend to anyone trying to budget this specific dental office

I love Dr. Sam Barkhordar of Smiles Northridge. He has great bedside manners. He is nice, very kind, and professional. I saw three different dentists before I saw him. Each one of them would point out the problems in a negative and sometimes frightening way, but never provided any effective long lasting solutions, which is what Dr. Barkhordar did. He explained the problems, offered logical solutions that we agreed on, and simply fixed them. He was also very gracious for not charging the little extra amount that was not covered by my insurance. Could a dentist be any nicer? I don’t think so. The staff here is so friendly and welcoming. The practice is clean and nice. The X-ray process was quick and easy as they do it digitally. The building has a private parking lot with ample parking spots. I’m very happy to find this place. Thank you Dr. Barkhordar

I wholeheartedly agree with all the 5-star reviews here and really appreciate the full-service treatment and great customer service! For some context, a couple months ago, I recently went in to another local dentist in the Valley for a very much overdue cleaning/checkup before a big trip and was in a rush for convenience and availability.  My experience there was definitely sub-par, the dentist didn’t talk with me at all and only told me how bad my teeth were and after a full-mouth x-ray that I would definitely need a root canal…After talking with my UCLA dental student friend, he strongly advised me to get a second opinion and so after some Yelp browsing I decided to try Smiles Northridge. From the moment I stepped in the door, Sonia (the dental assistant) was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous and made me very much at ease until I left. As for Dr. Sam, he was simply awesome.  Very friendly, respectful, professional and knowledgeable.  After examining my suspect teeth, he explained to me very clearly why a root canal was not necessary based on the x-ray and the physical checks!  I definitely appreciate the honesty as it doesn’t seem self-serving as he’s not looking to go find things that are “wrong.”  He definitely exudes trust and I’m very glad that I came here for a 2nd opinion before blindly trusting that other dentist! And to top it all off, the front desk asked me if I had a great experience and were also gracious enough to provide a small Starbucks gift card for the holidays!  I really appreciate the extra mile and great customer service and will be coming back again for regular checkups!

Finding a good Dentist in the San Fernando valley could be hard. However, once I found Dr. Sam he was able to help me out with getting the best implants and crowns. I liked the fact that he was patient with me and answered all of my questions. Dr. Sam and his whole staff at Smiles are the most nicest and caring people, because they understand how important it is to have a clean, healthy, and wonderful smile. Thank you, Dr. Sam because you have given me the confidence to smile again. There is no doubt that you are a great Dentist.

I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Sam because he takes the time to EXPLAIN to me everything when it comes to what I need for my teeth. Even before completing a small filling, he SHOWED and described to me everything he was going to do-almost a small lesson in dentistry. I appreciate that and honestly have never met a healthcare professional as patient as him and as thorough in answering my questions. I also appreciate that there have never been any hidden fees or extra charges and Dr. Sam works within my student budget. I’m really glad I found you guys, and I now consider myself a regular patient. Thanks Smiles Northridge!

I must say my experience at Smile Dentistry was amazing. The staff was more than helpful and polite. Dr.Sam was amazing with his consultations. He was informative and thoughtful. Very prompt, efficient, courteous and great sense of humor. I will definitely return to see Dr Sam!!

I went to Smiles Northridge to have some work done on my teeth. Upon entry into the office, I noticed how comfortable and stylish the waiting room looked.  Also, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and professional.  Dr. Sam was the dentist that wend ahead and examined my teeth. He was very professional, honest and thorough. Afterwards, he educated me on what was wrong with my teeth and further explained a cost effective and efficient way to correct the problem, where it would still look “natural-looking” and would allow me to maintain the life of my teeth.  He went ahead and finished the fillings in my teeth in a timely and painless manner. Afterwards, he took the time to answer any questions or concerns I may have had for him. I can honestly say that Dr. Sam is one of the most ethical and professional dentists I have ever had the opportunity to go to for my teeth.  Therefore, I can honestly say that from this day forward I plan on continuing to go to him for all of my concerns or basic teeth cleanings

We recently moved to Chatsworth and needed to find a new dentist. We found Dr. Sam and he’s great! Our family of four and even the grandparents have been going to him for almost a year now. His staff is super nice and Dr. Sam is very gentle on the mouth. He does a great job of explaining what he is doing and how much longe each procedure is going to be. He is great with kids too! My 3-year-old does well there and loves getting a rubber glove ballon afterwards 🙂

Dr. Sam encompasses the perfect balance of practical, real-world expertise in dental surgery, as well as, an erudite academic background having graduated from New York University, School of Dentistry, near the top of his class. As the saying goes, ‘Compromises in life are sometimes necessary…’ However, it is important to note that: those compromises will not be necessary after visiting Dr. Sam, because he is one of the best Family Dentistry and Implant Specialists, bar none. Dr. Barkhordar goes above and beyond for his patients! He is patient, honest and very knowledgable. He responded thoughtfully to all my questions and concerns. The office is also well- kept and clean and the staff is warm and friendly!
