I was on the verge of writing a blog on how to spend your life finding the right dentist — without success — until I found Dr. Azarbal. Up to that point, I had been meeting with other dentists, looking for the right fit as I was embarrassed by the current state of my mouth. Anxiety had always overpowered vanity when it came to my teeth, which is why I hadn’t seen a dentist in 10 years. And I do mean anxiety – lots of it. However, the war was lost when I broke a front-facing tooth. I decided — with the assistance of the reviews on Yelp — to give his office a whirl, with GREAT apprehension. First, I liked the office immediately. It’s a nice throwback compared to tricked-out dental offices that look like operating rooms. Nothing fancy. Secondly, Megan who is the first person you talk to either on the phone or in person is incredible. She reminds me of someone I would have been friends with in school. The rooms are small and private, which was key for me – as so many dentists have open-space chairs these days. Cesar, one of the assistants, is really kind and excellent at getting you comfortable. When I finally met Dr. Azarbal, I liked him instantly. He’s got an infectious laugh and talks as quickly as I do, which I appreciate. Nothing worse than spending more time in the chair than necessary. I had a cleaning, one facing, and one crown. The work was excellent. And believe it or not, I’m actually looking forward to going back to have him repair some disastrous work performed by a previous dentist. Yes – you read that correctly: I’m looking forward to going back. Dr. Azarbal clearly cares about his patient’s comfort level and their dental health, and he puts you at ease with his great sense of humor. His office deserves a true thank you from this grateful patient. The least I can do is write a good review

Dr. Azarbal is the only dentist I trust completely. He is very through in his explanations and makes sure you are comfortable in each situation. He is also very skilled in what he does and is a true professional. His equipment is state of the art and his staff is friendly and helpful. They all make the dental experience a rather pleasant and painless one. I have recommended him to many friends and colleges, he is a great resource.

Been going to Dr. Azarbal for several years now. He is a great dentist! He is always friendly, professional, and knows what he is doing. I’ve had to have fillings, crowns, and other procedures performed by him, and they all have been painless! He is always willing to explain why things need to be done and shows me photos of my teeth so that I can understand what is happening. Everyone else at the office also does a great job from the receptionist to all of the hygienists. Would definitely recommend Pasadena Dental Aesthetics to anyone looking for dental care!

I had broken my front tooth and was desperate to find a good cosmetic dentist. I am a photographer and designer and extremely picky with aesthetic, specially when it comes to teeth. One of my biggest fears was to end up with a dark or bicolor tooth right in front of my mouth. So I looked online and Dr Azarbal had great reviews. I decided to give it a shot. I made an appointment and he saw me right away. Seriously, I couldn’t be more fortunate to have found a better dentist. He did an incredible job reconstructing my front tooth;  the shape and color are perfect. He asked my opinion during treatment and I didn’t shy away from giving him my input regarding the shape of the tooth. He attentively listened and incorporated my input as he saw fit. He really seemed to care about what I thought since I was the one who was going to have to see the tooth everyday in the mirror. Really incredible. Nobody can really tell part of that tooth is resin. This was a few years ago and since then he has been my regular dentist. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen and all the hygienists are nice and skillful. He also did a proper diagnose of my premolars receding gum tissue. Other dentists would always say that the problem was that I was brushing my teeth too hard or the wrong way, but I wasn’t! I always felt like crazy because they wouldn’t listen to me. So Dr Azarbal listened and said that the problem was my bite and unless we fixed that, the condition would only get worse. He added some resin to protect the almost exposed teeth roots and added some more to the inside of the canines so the bite would be adjusted preventing further damage. Amazing! Problem solved for a year now. Dr Azarbal is definitely one of the most knowledgeable and caring dentists I met. Totally recommend him

This team is rad! Dr. Arzabal, Megan and team are not only professional​ but also kind and friendly. I have been suffering from traumatic fear of dental work for many years. Our best friends recommended Dr. Arzabal and I decided to go for a visit. During my first visit, I felt heard and my feelings were validated. I needed major dental work. Dr. Arzabal, proposed options on how to begin the dental work while also ensuring my anxiety and fear was minimized. Fast forward to the present, I am a faithful patient and go to the dentist with peace of mind and comfort…priceless. Thank you PDA team!

I highly recommend Dr. Azarbal. I was very nervous before my first appointment with him and he was very calming and made sure I understood every step of treatment. I needed a lot of dental work done and he has completely transformed my smile better than I thought possible. He made sure even the more major work done gave me as little pain as possible. Plus, all of the office staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff here are very warm and always welcome me with big smiles.  They all remember my name and it feels more like a visit to see friends than a trip to the dentist.  Arash is not only professional, but has a big sense of humor.  If you’re looking for a dentist that puts you at ease and makes you feel at home, this is the place.. highly recommended

The staff and Dr. Azarbal is amazing! This little dentist office is the epitome of what every dentist visit should be. Megan in the front desk is always very nice and personable, she’s the same nice and knowledgeable person every time I visit. Dr. Azarbal knows what it’s like to be a patient and he somehow made my visit very enjoyable. Did you read that. He made going to the dentist enjoyable. I never thought I’d ever say that! If you’re looking for a dentist in LA, do yourself and your teeth a favor and try this place out. You’ll be happy you did.— UPDATE —Had my second set of root canals done by Dr. Mansoun and the experience was way better than I had imagined extensive root canals would be (however, I assume everyone’s experience can be different).  I highly recommend

Dr. Azarbal is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He really knows his stuff, and is very friendly as well. I’ve always had stained teeth from having been given tetracycline as a child, and was told for decades that there was nothing I could do to change that. When Dr. Azarbal told me there was a new technique that he thought would work, I was skeptical but gave it a try. And it worked! I actually have people compliment me on my teeth now, which is wonderful! His office staff is also great ~ efficient and polite, always very friendly. I highly recommend this office

The office of Dr. Azarbal is great! I have a strong gag reflex (and emetophobia) which has always made dentist visits tough throughout my life. Gradually, due to my cowardly avoidance of the dentist, several “big ticket” dental items had to be taken care of. I’m grateful that 1-800-dentist led me to Dr. Azarbal. He, his colleagues, and his entire staff are great– I’ve never been more comfortable visiting a dentist’s office. They worked through my issues with a huge amount of patience and ease while delivering quality dental work. With a bridge, a crown, a wisdom tooth pulled, and cavities filled, my teeth are now stabilized and my mouth is in great shape. I have zero anxiety visiting them and will continue going several times a year for cleanings and check-ups. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing first visit! Consulation was easy and painless. Hadnt been to the dentist in 5 years and I’m really happy to have found this place. He didnt make me feel bad or talk down to me for not going for so long ( one of the things I was sure any dentist would do given the amount of time I hadnt been seen by a dentist) He was really easy going and explained everything to me. Great staff too! Everything was top notch! Highly recommended!

Love this place! Staff is friendly and funny and always makes time for you, even to reschedule quickly if you forget your appointment lol. Dr. Azarbal is one of my favorite dentists I’ve ever had, because he has the courtesy to explain all your options, and tell you in honest detail what he can do to help your teeth. And he works very efficiently so I can easily get back to a busy work life after! If you’re thinking of scheduling an appointment, do it!

I was SO LUCKY to have found Pasadena Dental online while visiting CA from the East coast for a few days. A crown on a back molar broke off very unexpectedly. The office staff was very helpful to fit me in right way on a Friday afternoon! They even did the research needed to allow me to use my insurance plan. Dr. Azarbal did a perfect temporary fix on my crown/molar that allowed me to be pain free until I could return home for a full repair. I highly recommend Dr. Azarbal and his staff. If I lived near by I would want him to be my dentist

Dr. Azarbal is absolutely the best. I unfortunately have severe dental neglect from childhood/teen years. On top of that I inherited bad teeth from both parents. Did I mention they’re incredibly crooked teeth as well? Because of that I have severe dental anxiety. Before I got to Dr. Azarbal I had teeth pulled, 8+ root canals, TMJ, you name it. All of that work was going bad as it aged. Crowns literally broke off and teeth were falling apart. I’m not even 40!! But Dr. Azarbal fixed it all. ALL OF IT! He understand my anxiety is the nicest, gentlest dentist you could ever find. He offers gas or anxiety medicine if needed, makes sure my ipod playlist is on, and even brings in my boyfriend if I seem especially nervous. He is kind, funny, has saved teeth other dentists said I would lose. Even when I was out of work for a year he still took good care of me, and helped me prioritize what had to be done. My teeth are finally healthy enough to treat the crowding and I now have invisalign braces. He is the best

I LOVE Dr. Arzabal and his team! I am definitely not one to say that about a dentist, as I have had some horrible experiences in the past, but Dr. Arzabal has made me a lover of my dentist. I went to Dr. Arzabal with several issues to deal with. He prioritized them and we got through them with his great team of support and his fun, friendly demeanor, humor and respect. I was very frightened of the dentist when I came to him, but he guided me through each procedure every step of the way and made sure I understood things before they happened. Megan at the front desk is cheery over the phone and a pleasure to see in person. The whole office seems like a friendly, family environment. I never thought I’d be one to like going to the dentist, but this office makes that a possibility and I am so sad to leave them as I move from Pasadena. If you are someone that’s scared of the dentist or have dental issues to deal with that you don’t want to be judged for, this is the team to go to!

Dr. A is absolutely the best dentist I have ever been to since I moved to California. The reasons are as follows: 1) Knowledge, training, advanced technology and techniques that provide efficient and effective treatment 2) Dr. A has a tremendously kind and concerned personality that addresses anxiety about the procedures, information about what truly needs to be addressed, and pain management  3) Incredible staff and office management including reminder calls, sensitive schedule needs, personable medical support, and options for treatment that is personalized to an individual’s personal situation It may seem that I am a bit effusive about this dental practice, but they have proved to me that the issues that most people feel regarding visiting a dental professional will be eliminated here

Dr. Azarbal and his staff are the best! Super friendly, warm and welcoming.  They effectively use technology to communicate everything he is doing and to document his work. My last dentist did a bunch of work that wasn’t sealed right which was leading to decay under the caps and fillings. Dr. Azarbal identified my problems from the xrays and saved my teeth! I would recommend him to everyone… in fact, Im going to have my father go to him for the work he need done!

Prior to visiting Dr. Azarbal’s office, I was deathly afraid of the dentist and all things related; extreme, extended pain prompted my visit. I was recommended Dr. Azarbal by a co-worker that was very aware of my heightened fear. Dr. Azarbal and his team are incredibly patient, understanding, and friendly. My unwarranted fear made me a very difficult and reluctant patient, however, Dr. Azarbal took the time to understand my fear and to adjust my treatment plan accordingly. He always explains precisely what procedures he is going to perform, which made me less nervous, and established expectations up front. As a patient in Dr. Azarbal’s office, I have had a root canal performed, fillings, and a tooth cleaning; all of which went incredibly well. I can attest that I felt far less pain during my recovery from the root canal procedure than the pain that brought me into the office initially. I would highly recommend Dr. Azarbal and his team to all patients, especically those that are afraid of the dentist, or who have not been as diligent with their dental hygenie

Dr. Azarbal and his staff were incredible from the moment I called and talked to Megan on the phone. I have had many horrible dental experiences and when I first came in just to talk to Dr. Azarbal I was very nervous and couldnt finish my paperwork and so Megan came out from her office and sat down and wrote down my answers. From there Dr. Azarbal and staff have helped me against my fears and I can see he is a quality not quantity dentist and you can tell he loves what he does and he will explain what he is doing and what you can do to on your dental hygiene care. I needed a deep cleaning and we talked about different things I might need and then when we did that Nelly relaxed me with her skill and precision as a hygienist. I trul believe that I have my dentist and feel blessed he is only a couple of towns away and they take good care of me all the way around I highly reccommend Dr. Azarbal and Pasadena Dental Aesthetics

Good people. I’ve been going to this location before Dr. Azarbal with Dr. Jill Parker. I’ve been very happy with the friendly atmosphere & professional work done by Dr. Azarbal & his team. I think it’s pretty rare for someone to take over a book of business & retain the clientele.  In total, I’ve been with Dr. Azarbal since…. 2005? I just had my second gold inlay done by Dr. Azarbal and feeling good. Or as good as someone with cavities. After my dental appointment, I dropped my chiropractor just because for an adjustment. My Chiropractor was very impressed with Dr. Azarbal’s work and mentioned that he didn’t torque my neck at all. Dr. Azarbal and his side kick (Megan) are a good team. I’ve had the pleasure of having them take care of my teeth for over a decade

The staff were helpful and friendly, and Dr. Azarbal was open, friendly, and informative. He gave me great information about what was going on with my teeth and what the causes and solutions were, while also being considerate about not overwhelming me with too much at once. He is enthusiastic about his job and cares about his patients, and that really comes across. There was not one negative thing in the whole experience. Thank you to Dr. Azarbal, to Megan, and the whole team!

I’ve had procedures done here that lasted four hours. They gave me the option of two, 2-hour visits but I really wanted to get it all over with so we spent the entire morning together. Receptionist Meghan is the best. Friendly, very knowledgeable and pretty damn smart. Always look forward to seeing her. And Dr. Azarbal…super nice man and knows his stuff. Added benefit – they have this really cool machine that makes crowns. My understanding is it can only be used for certain crowns but it’s always accommodated my needs really well. Can’t say enough nice things about these folks. And I didn’t mean to neglect support staff because they’re pretty wonderful too. I just suck at names. If you’re afraid of going to the dentist I highly recommend Pasadena Dental Aesthetics. They’ve even open two Saturdays per month

Around a year ago I noticed nasty chip in one of my back molars. I finally went in for my first dental consultation in a few years and found out I had fractured the tooth pretty bad, and in all likelihood would have ruined it if I left it unchecked for much longer. Thankfully Dr. Arash and the other wonderful folks here were able to get me an appointment within a month to get a porcelean onlay. The procedure went real smooth, the damaged tooth got drilled away, the remaining tooth was scanned, an onlay was custom milled out by a CAD assisted tool, heat treated then fit and fitted within 3 hours. So far it looks great and feels fine. I even got resin caps on my chipped front teeth during the process. Should something go wrong, I’ll update this review, but as of now I’m 100% satisfied. I’d happily reccomend this practice, they were both professional, charismatic, and reasonably priced with the assistance of my insurance
