I was referred to Dr. Pinar by a friend and had my first ever appointment last night. Overall it was amazing (or at least as amazing as going to the dentist can be). The entire staff is super friendly & helpful and made for a great experience. The office is immaculate, plays great music, and has a comforting feel. Dr. Pinar is extremely thorough with his work and did an incredible job overall. I’m not saying that I’m *excited* about my next visit in March, but when the time comes I’ll be at ease knowing I’m in great hands.

A year and a half ago we were thrilled to meet Dr. Dan. He came highly recommended by friends and family. My husband began a full mouth implant reconstruction. As we were from out of country the process took close to a year but the final results were worth it. He gave my husband back good health and a great smile Hollywood style. Dan is thorough, conscientious, meticulous, caring, concise and best of all painless. He takes away the dental fear and makes going almost a pleasure. He will hopefully continue to be our family dentist over the years to come. My last visit to the dentist was almost 15 years ago. Clearly, I am not keen on dental visits. I am extremely reluctant to allow anyone near my teeth, and because of that I have always made sure to brush and floss regularly. However, we all know that eventually the day will come when we have no choice but to give in and do it. That, or end up with dentures. So, I looked at some reviews on Yelp and came across Dr. Pinar. Since the reviews were pleasing and he was right down the street, I decided to give it a shot. I had a deep cleaning done, and some old cavities refilled, and the whole time I was in that chair I didn’t feel a thing. I mean NOT A THING. It was the most pleasant dental experience I have ever had, and truth be told, I actually enjoyed my visit and can’t wait to go again! Yes, I said it. I am actually looking forward to going back and very excited that my teeth are going to be well taken care of for as long as I have them. My teeth look and feel AMAZING!!! He is an awesome dentist, and a super nice guy as well. He will be my dentist for life.

Dr. Wagner and Dr. Pinar’s West Hollywood practice is first rate, from the customer service at the front desk to the hygienists to the interactions with the doctors. Easy, supportive and on-time. They are both easy on the eyes as well, if you are into that sort of thing. But I wanted to applaud Annette for her excellent service, for years. Annette has always been excellent at her job and at her customer service, like seeing a friend every six months. But she just did something for me that was so moving and touching; Annette went above and beyond the practice’s already excellent standards. I would tell you what it is, but it’s a long story… Suffice it to say, this is an amazing dental practice that I actually look forward to attending. Thank you Annette. Dr Pinar is an awesome dentist! He has done several procedures including a tooth implant and a root canal and crown and all were painless. I was nervous but his wonderful chair-side manner and relaxed vibe made me feel comfortable. He is very knowledgeable and makes dentistry sound fun! The front desk is another reason I love coming to this office, Claudia & Angie are very friendly and always try and work with my busy schedule to find me appointments that work, and always explain my PPO insurance, pthanks Ladies! I also love the hygienists (Doug & Annette), they are wonderful! Last but not least Dr Pinar’s assistant Mario is great! Definitely my favorite dental office!

For the past four years I have been going to a dentist whom is dishonest. The woman’s goal is to maximize each client’s insurance policy making sure there is not a nickel remaining 6 months into the year. I have yet to write a review for her. However, I will soon and it will raise a few eyebrows. The good news is I found a wonderful dentist last week. I was searching around on Yelp and Dan Pinar’s reviews appeared. I am always suspicious of perfect 5 star reviews. Hence I read every one of his reviews in detail. Yet I was still suspicious as I have gone through 4 dentists since moving to Los Angeles in 2004. While living in New York I had the same dentist for 25 years with no issues. I called Dr. Pinar’s office and the woman whom took my call was a total sweetheart. She had a great attitude and told me that Dr. Pinar could see me that day. So far great. I went to see Dr. Pinar and it was one of the most relaxing stress free dental visits of my life. I felt like I was back in Brooklyn with my old dentist whom I think the world of. Dr. Pinar looked at my teeth, collected X-rays from my last dentist (after I called and raised my voice at the old dentist) and scheduled me for a cleaning a few days later. Today Dr. Pinar himself cleaned my teeth. He will do 1 cavity for me tomorrow and then I am done. My last dentist wanted to do 2 crowns, 5 cavities and a deep cleaning. After insurance this would have set me back about $1200. Dr. Pinar is honest and told me all that I need is one cavity and a routine cleaning. Wow – to think that someone could do unnecessary work in my mouth and get away with it is terrible. So nice to have a totally honest dentist look at my mouth. If you want a great dentist then call Dr. Pinar’s office. This was a 5 star dental experience which is tough to find in Los Angeles. I also learned that Yelp really works. Without Yelp I would have never found Dr. Pinar. I guess Yelp gets 5 stars as well!

This is long overdue. I’ve been seeing Dr. Pinar for a few years now. I was blessed with bad teeth and an unhealthy fear of the dentist. He’s hands down the best dentist I’ve been to. Very friendly, fast, perfectionist (helpful when dealing with the pearly whites) and lets me have my freak out moments. Once they’re finished we laugh and get started. Front office is awesome too! Seriously cannot say enough good things about Dr. Pinar. I used a broken jaw injury as a catalyst to find a new dentist. I was previously going to some sleazy beverly hills dentist that I had just been too lazy to switch from with my insurance because his office location was convenient, but when I broke my jaw and needed some serious dental work done, and I wanted to go to someone I really trusted. Received his info as a recommendation from a friend who both he and his boyfriend go to this office and I could not be happier. Their office staff is always so friendly – a far cry from the rude staff I was accustomed to at my old dentist. Office location is convenient as well, across from Cedar Sinai, parking is free with validation. Dr. Pinar has done amazing repair work on my teeth – I have anxiety about dentists/drilling/anything to do with my teeth but I always feel completely relaxed when I am here since I have never been in pain while he’s doing any work on my teeth. I even switched my insurance to have a dental PPO so I can continue going to this office for regular cleanings once all my repairs are done. It’s really difficult to find a good dentist in LA, so now that I’ve found one, I’m keeping him. Highly, highly recommend.

Dr. Pinar has been my dentist for about 3 years now. When I moved to California years ago I did float around to a few dentist for cleanings but there have been two emergency situations where Dr. Pinar has worked me in- once on a Sunday when I was in excruciating pain. Most recently he came in early to work me into his schedule after a bad situation happened with my front teeth. It’s this kind of concern for his patience that makes him such a great dentist. I also like that he isn’t stingy with numbing if needed which is much appreciated. If you feel any pain just let him know and he’ll make sure that you are comfortable so he can do his work. I’ve never dreaded a single visit. The hygienist at his office are always great (I am torn between two different one’s I’ve seen). His front desk staff is always so pleasant and welcoming. Another thing that I like is that it seems his front desk staff always knows everyone’s names when they come in. I never see them looking up names when they greet people. I highly recommend Dr. Pinar for your dentistry work.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in like five years because I thought I hated it. After seeing Dr. Pinar, though, I’m almost looking forward to my next appointment! For starters, he’s basically the nicest guy ever. I immediately felt at ease with him as he explained everything to me. He didn’t shame me at all about not regularly going to the dentist and didn’t badger me about getting my wisdom teeth out which is something pretty much every dentist I’ve been to since I was a teenager has done. It turns out I had a cavity which I needed filled so I was a little freaked out but Dr. Pinar told me how everything would go and that it would be pretty painless. Guess what?! He was right! It was totally painless and I left his office in a great mood. He’s by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to and possibly the best doctor of any type! Oh and FREE TOOTHBRUSHES! Score!

This experience was wonderful from start to finish with this incident, when I broke a tooth eating popcorn. My previous dentist (Carlos Setti, also in West Hollywood) was on vacation and then couldn’t see me for nearly two weeks after that, plus he and his office were SO hard to deal with, with constant up-selling from aggressive office staff, so I called Dr. Pinar’s office instead. Such a wonderful difference! Dr. Pinar texted me very soon after, on the weekend, and could see me first thing Monday morning. I thought I needed a crown, but he was able to determine I only needed a half-crown. The fees were fair and reasonable. He did the temporary one, even calling to check in the next day, then did the permanent one. Each session was COMPLETELY painless from start to finish — even the anesthetic injection was painless! And the final product was beautiful — looked like my real tooth. He was fast, efficient, and all the while incredibly charming, handsome, nice, and made me feel comfortable. What a prince of a dentist! I highly recommend him. The office staff is great, too, and they validate parking. This is a great community resource!

I’ve been excited to write a review of this practice for awhile. BUT I decided to wait until after I got my veneers before doing so. Now I can say officially that this practice is the very best in the whole world…… well it sure is in my opinion. 1) for cleanings- amazing hygienists , super enthused and ebullient. Your time goes by so quick because they keep you entertained or can pick up quickly if you just need to zone out in quiet. Every six months I’ve come out feeling legitimately more confident and energized to go into the world. Clean, polished teeth are a game changer, that’s just how it is in the city of Los Angeles. 2) the two dentists – Dr. David Wagner and Dr. Dan Pinar are not your normal dentists. They are young, handsome, funny men who make you feel at ease( not what dentists are known for.) They are as quick with a smile or joke as they are with explicating very complicated jargon in a very discernible matter of fact way. They create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable , taken care of and informed. The former is a very difficult task and they do this effortlessly and with tact and timing and honest communication . I honestly look forward to the end of my cleanings, just to say hi to the two of them….. NOT KIDDING! 3) my veneers- I cant tell you how much this has changed my life. I broached the idea of getting veneers with Dr. Wagner six months ago casually at an appointment .I’ve had one veneer since I was quite young and it’s not color matched to the rest of my teeth nor did it allow me to whiten my teeth because the veneer would remain yellow . I also had a gap on my left side and my teeth were very uneven with spaces in the gums. Dr. Wagner made me feel very comfortable In elucidating not only what veneers would do for my appearance, but also detailed how the process would go step by step. I went from trepidation to excitement in ten minutes. It was three or four appointments through the process and a stop at a very state of the art laboratory ( maybe the coolest part.) the third appointment was the longest , which was implementing the temporary bonding. However, it was so comfortable that I actually fell asleep, during the procedure…… a little weird I know. Finally, the final veneers went in and I was emotionally overwhelmed. I felt so different, so confident , so sharp! David made them perfect, they have character , they are NOT perfectly straight , one color, one texture, one shape. They ARE art, in the purest form. They convey emotion and warmth, they have a unique white coloring with different shades naturally coalescing into one wonderful smile. They are 100 percent me and my personality manifested in the thing that expresses that most….. my smile I could not be happier to refer David Wagner. I don’t need to though, the teeth do it for themselves. I swear people love them and all the time the same comment. ” Adam they are perfect, they are just so natural.” Thanks , thanks , thanks

Dr. Pinar recently saved me almost $3500 after a crazy dentist in Los Feliz tried to up-sell me on a bunch of crowns & gum procedures that weren’t necessary. I don’t have dental insurance, so it’s really a huge blow to my finances if I have to spend three months’ rent on dental work. I really appreciate having a dentist who won’t rip me off! Other plusses: -He’s great at pain-free dental work. My shots of novocaine didn’t even hurt at all! -The cleanings I’ve had here felt very thourough. They took way more time than other dentists I’ve experienced -Their office is very well run when it comes to sending appointment reminders and the like

if you are choosing a dentist in the LA area I would definitely consider Dr. Dan Pinar. He ias super friendly and the staff is amazing. If you have an appointment at 2:30 you will be seen exactly on time at 2:30pm….So no need to arrive early because that will not allow you to be seen any sooner. The Facility is super clean and modern, I had my teeth cleaned here and they also took molds of my teeth and made whitening trays for me. I can not say enough great things about the staff and Dr. Pinar especially. I literally tell all of my friends that are looking for a dentist, or want to have their teeth whitened to go to Dr. Pinar! I have seen two of the hygienist so far, and they have both been amazing! Parking is validated too! That is always a plus!

I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 15 years, and I found Drs. McFadden and Pinar in an online search; their office is situated between my work and my home, and the website presented two friendly-looking guys with good credentials, so I scheduled an appointment. Without question, a GREAT decision…I’ve been three times in the last three weeks to get “back up to speed” on my dental care – I’ve had an initial check up, a cleaning, and a filling redone. The first visit was great – the dental clinician turned out to be a second cousin of my husband’s and we chatted away while she took an EXTENSIVE set of x-rays, like nearly 20. I commented on the number and she explained the reasoning – it felt very thorough and I was pleased. Following that Dr. McFadden approached and gave me the check up. Soft-spoken and very present, I trusted him immediately. We talked through what needed to be done and he answered all my questions. I always appreciate medical professionals who explain what they’re doing as they go, and Dr. McFadden excels at this. My second visit was the cleaning; my hygienist was very good, and I apologized profusely for the work I put her through getting rid of 15 years of yuck. : ) When she was finished, Dr. Pinar came in and gave another quick inspection. He is immediately likeable, and again, answered my myriad questions. We also chatted about the joys (mostly) of homeownership. My third visit was today to repair a filling, and it was Dr. Pinar again who took care of that. Lying on your back while a tiny, shrill drill invades your numb face is not a pleasant situation to find yourself in, but Dr. Pinar made it as comfortable and easy as possible. His method for “distract-applying” the Novocaine was effective, but also downright funny, which I commented on. In most of my life’s situations I tend to make jokes and laugh to keep the mood up – always great when my efforts are matched, and Dr. Pinar is no stranger to humor-while-you-work. I appreciate that. I highly recommend this office. And I like the set up – it’s a big open room, but the chairs and equipment are situated so that, from the patient-in-the-chair POV, your individual space is private without being closed in. The staff, assistants and hygienists are very nice – the gentleman who works at the front desk is a sweetheart, very efficient and helpful. Having the pleasure of working with both Drs. McFadden and Pinar, I find them to be engaging, articulate and professional; both are also pretty charming and handsome which in no way hurts. Regular dental check-ups have happily returned to my overall plan for continued well-being – thanks folks!

I have always been lucky with my teeth being in good condition while growing up and a big part of this was due to the preventive care provided by my childhood dentist. Moving to Los Angeles and having to find a new dentist caused me some distress as I had to first visit two subpar dental offices before I was able to meet Dr. Pinar through using Yelp. I was weary of using Yelp to find a doctor, but my friend’s and co-worker’s recommendations were clearly not working out. Thank you Yelpers…your reviews were spot on for Dr. Pinar. I could not be more satisfied with the care, concern and professionalism of Dr. Pinar’s office. Dr. Pinar was honest, gentle and conservative in his approach and this allowed an openess to our conversation that I was accustomed to. Dr. Pinar is simply the best. He is professional, affable, knowledgeable, caring, and the list goes on and on. He also has a great sense of humor and does not take himself too seriously. Plus and plus. Most importantly (to me at least), is that he is not a salesman. After an initial exam and cleaning, he wanted me to come in for a free consultation re Invasalign. He showed me how my front teeth were geting chipped, and showed me comparables taken over time, so that I could better perceive the gravity of the situation. He explained my options to me, laying out the optimal preventative plan, discussed fees, and reiterated that I still had some time to sort all of this out. He answered each and every question I had, without rushing me, and even offered to make a “trainer” set for me since I’ve had some prior issues with night guards and the such. I never thought a dentist visit could be pleasant, but my experiences with Dr. Pinar have been nothing but. I leave feeling taken care of, which (unfortunately) is a rarity in the medical/dental industry nowadays. Staff is really friendly as well.

Five stars. A dumb stupid ridiculous and retarded dining mishap that occurred over the weekend resulted in a dental quasi-emergency requiring semi-immediate address. My regular dentist (who I have been on the fence about for quite some time) is out of town this week, so I figured it was as a good time as any to embark on new dental care frontiers. My (quite particular) friend is a regular patient of Dr Dan Pinar and has consistently spoken quite highly of him and his practice…. so I called up and made an appointment. Being a new patient, I was grateful that they could fit me in this week because my tooth was quite sore. A special thank you for that. Dr Pinar and staff couldn’t have been any more pleasant or more professional. The numbing injection he administered gave me minimum discomfort and his chair side manner is informative yet soothing. And as an aside, he is plenty cute (a value added bonus). All the hygienists and support staff were just as cordial as could be. The office is in a lovely building on Melrose and LaCienega with underground parking that they validate. How nice! Most importantly of all, the quality of my tooth repair seems quite good. I can once again chew on the left side of my mouth. Hallelujah!!! I will most definitely be back. Thank you.

We are a caring dental office located in West Hollywood, on Beverly Blvd between Roberston and La Cienega Blvd. We provide all dental services, and do so in a safe, gentle and comfortable environment. For those who are anxious or fearful, we have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) available. Dr. Pinar is also licensed by the state of California to provide oral sedation, where we can relax you with just a pill and you'll have little memory of your visit. It's SO easy. If fear has kept you away, sedation can change your life! When I was a kid, I hated going to the dentist. And honestly - I actually still do. What that means for you, is that there is no one who will be more sympathetic and gentle than me. I value your time as if it were my own. You will be seen promptly at your appointed time. I am an absolute believer of conservative treatment. Keeping dental work small and conservative may take a little longer, but it always gives the best results. And I realize that going to the dentist can be a little like bringing your car to the garage - who knows if your car needs all the work they say it does. I expect that anyone I give advice to will find a second opinion, and I'm confident they'll get the same recommendation. Our success is only sustainable when it's in the best interest of all parties involved.
