Dr. Karen Ho is the best dentist I have had. Since I first saw her in 2009, she has fixed my cavities, my eldest son’s cavities, given a second opinion for my other son’s care and she is now treating my mother. Even though, I have moved to the Sacramento area in the last few years, I still drive down 8 hours to her office for all my dental work. She is mild in temperament, she’s encouraging, never judgmental. She has done quality work on my teeth which has includes filling cavities, a root canal, deep cleaning, regular cleanings, and making me a retainer. Not only does she restore my teeth back to health, my teeth also look nice after she’s done. This summer, my young son was diagnosed with four adult teeth cavities at another office. I knew that I could only trust Dr. Ho to be the first to work on his adult teeth. The quality of her work and her conservative approach give him the best chance in the future. My mother has worked as a dental assistant in the past and is very picky about the treatment dentist recommend for her. She questions and she resists when something doesn’t make sense to her. She has, indeed, also had a share of experiences with dentist that have done very poor or unnecessary work on her. She accompanied me for an appointment with Dr. Ho and asked to schedule an appointment to treat a painful tooth. Dr. Ho offered to see her that day and extracted a partial tooth that had wondered into her gum. My mother is satisfied with Dr. Ho’s work and her pleasant, caring manner. She scheduled a follow-up appointment for additional treatment. I’m not saying Dr. Ho readily accepts walk-ins, but she tries her best to accommodate patients. As much as I have tried, I have always had a lot of problems with my teeth. As, I’m in my early 30s, I feel anxious about being able to keep my teeth as long as possible. Dr. Karen Ho listens to me and works her best to make sure I keep my teeth for many years to come. I never feel intimidated or bullied into treatment with her, she doesn’t make me feel like I have to explain myself. When I go to see her I feel like I’m talking to a friend who happens to do very good dental work. That is one of the many reasons why I trust her with my care and the care of my loved ones. Her staff is fabulous. They are kind, helpful, and communicate very well; never rude or unpleasant.

Dr. Ho has been my dentist for years. From day one, she has always addressed me with kindness & respect. Through the years, I’ve unfortunately had some dental emergencies, yet she & her office have always made the time for me, even when it meant squeezing me in due to the emergent nature. I cannot thank her enough for always being there when I needed her. Dr. Ho is very knowledgeable, caring, & kind, always wanting to ensure her patients are comfortable, from verifying that you are adequately numbed to avoid pain, to providing tv/movies to watch while you are having a procedure done as a nice (& very thoughtful) distraction. Her work speaks for itself, as I have seen her grow and take pride in expanding her business, carefully selecting staff, and finding ways to ensure her patients are top priority. If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend Palm View Dental! Dr. Ho, & all of her staff are amazing!!

I highly recommend Palm View Dental to anyone who is afraid of going to the dentist. One of the things that I am most frightened of when going to the dentist is the amount of pain I will feel during and after my visit. I came here twice already for a deep cleaning and then for fillings. I did not need to take any meds after the services to help with pain! They put numbing gel on my gums before giving me the shots of novocaine and I did not feel the shots at all! Dr. Ho is very patient, she takes the time to explain the procedures and makes sure you are comfortable throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ho and the staff. Once you step in, you know you are in good hands and being offered the best care. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now Thank you so much Palm View Dental!

Both Dr. Ho and Dr. Oh are awesome! Dr. Ho has been my dentist since 2012 and I would never imagine going to a different dentist. I had three fillings done by Dr. Ho; two on my front teeth and one replacing my silver filling on my molar tooth -and I must say I am very satisfied! I am a big baby when it comes to getting shots, but Dr. Ho was very very gentle when numbing me and I felt really comfortable throughout the procedure. She interacted with me during the procedure to make sure I was okay and not feeling any pain or discomfort. Also, the color of the filling on my front teeth matched my teeth very well that I couldn’t even tell that there is a filling! I just started my Invisalign treatment 3 months ago and am looking forward to nice straight teeth at the end of my treatment 😀
Dr. Oh is also super gentle; I had my cleaning done by her and she was very thorough and made sure she cleaned everything. I even told my boyfriend to schedule for a cleaning with her because she is very detailed and thorough. She did a filling on my boyfriend and he was satisfied in her work as well. The office is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the dentists are superb. We both love this office!

Hands down the most gentle, honest, caring dentists ever! I had my exams and fillings done by both doctors. Both were amazing and calm all through out the treatments that all that usual nervousness visiting the dentist easily went away. The whole staff is kind, friendly and genuinely helpful. Without having any recommendation, I go search the dental clinic on yelp which is not far from my home. I am so happy that I’v found a great clinic which all team members are professional and kind to their patients. Dr. Ho always willing to listen what your concerns and gives you the best suggestion. There is no doubt that Dr. Ho’s skills are good, almost make you feel nothing with the treatment. I am very impressive that Dr. Ho always done the treatment nicely and quickly. The employee are also professional and nice. They answer all your questions and care about your feeling all the time. Especially, Mrs. Kitty provides me a good plan to save my money. My teeth need a lot of treatments and replacements. Kitty helps me find a solution that all treatments and replacements can be done and also don’t feel any pressure.

There are so many dentists in the San Gabriel Valley…just look at the ubiquitous free Chinese yellow pages and you just don’t where to start! I went on yelp for some restaurant reviews, had some sweets…and then yowie..had some bad teeth pain in my mouth last week. I looked at the reviews for Dr. Karen Ho and they were very awesome and in a convenient location – one that I go to anyways….. and now, I know I finally found MY dentist. On to the review – Why I gave 5 Stars: 1. Availability and accomodating – She kept her office open for me as I was arriving late and never did she rush me out as it was past office hours. Still spent the entire time and was so patient. 2. Excellent chairside manners – yes, just like the other reviews said – this Dr. Ho actually cares and teaches. I learned a great deal about my teeth, how to brush better, and how to improve my breath (secret – tongue cleaning helps!). Yeah it works! 3. No upselling or advertising – Down to earth and did only the necessary treatment. I hate leaving any dental office emptying out my wallet and checkbook. Not only did she helped me stop the pain (it was a longstanding cavity on my back tooth – she also told me that the root canal another SGV dentist said was mandatory or else my teeth would fall out was unnecessary and only needed fluoride rinsing more frequently. Now how’s that for honesty!! 4. Great staff – Yvonne (one of the nurses) has the nicest smile and keeps me (the jitterbug) at ease. Kitty was the receptionist that booked my appt in a few minutes. 5. Busy business – The scariest thing for me when I go to a dentist is when there are no patients at all. Her business speaks for itself – she seemed to have thousand of charts and there were many patients in front of me and many calls to book. Must be doing something right! 6. Gentle touch – I am a worriwort when I see a dentist with poor hygiene, bad breath, or hands of a plumber (trust me, some of my past dentists were just that!). Dr Ho was gentle and knew how to calm my fears. It helps that her office is the cleanest office I’ve seen. 7. Experience and Training – I get worried when my dentist doesn’t have the proper credentials. Many are foreign trained and can’t even speak enough english for me to understand. Dr. Ho was trained at UCLA (my school too!) and actually is a professor at UCLA teaching new dental students….now I guess that is where she gets the 8. Pricing – I have returned to see Dr. Ho twice for my long list of Dental to-do’s and had received shocking price quotes in the past from East West Dental and Evergreen Dental (most expensive). Dr. Ho’s prices are extremely reasonable and her payment plans help out a lot. I will sure be back to do some teeth straightening with her invisalign clear method. No metal brackets! I want my yelpy friends to know about this Gem of a dental office in Alhambra! Honesty, professionalism, convenience, and good prices. Thank you Dr. Ho and staff for keeping it real. I will be back for my cleanings, I promise.

Dr. Ho, the hygienists, and even the front desk staff are like extended family. They get to know you and are thoroughly committed to helping you with your oral health for life. My partner and his family come here for dental services even if we’ve moved and have to drive quite a ways. Dr. Ho often tells us when a family member has been in, asks after us, and knows alot about our work, travels, and life. I really like that they’ll tell you the how and the why of what you need to know about keeping your oral health tiptop, from enamel care to daily practices. A deep cleaning was a super painful ordeal with a lot of bleeding but they were very patient, supportive, and helped ease the situation as best as they could. I felt like I should’ve smoked a doobie or eaten marijuana gummy bears before I came in for that!! But they were honest and upfront about expectations—to give you an example of how bad it sucks when someone’s NOT upfront or supportive, another doctor of mine didn’t give me the right information once put me through something that made me feel like I wanted to be put out of my misery ASAP. It was like medieval poisoning and torture. I felt like I was going to die. And the doctor and assistant were very casual about it, “Oh, is that what happened? I guess it happens that way sometimes.” I’d had the procedure with another much better doctor before and it was NOTHING like that. Sometimes, some procedures you have for your health feel terrible but the right practitioner should help you get through it with the least traumatic experience possible.

As far as dentists go, Dr. Ho is my favorite! She’s kind, gentle, and always understanding. She has a soft touch, goes over everything in detail before she starts, and always stops to make sure I’m doing ok. Not only that, she never recommends anything I don’t need. Excellent dentists. After experiencing some sensitivity in a tooth, I knew I had to see a dentist and booked an appointment with Palm View due to the excellent reviews here. My initial exam was with Dr. Karen Ho and my follow up was with Dr. Oh. Both are soft spoken and have good teeth (yes, that’s important to me when I see a dentist). The office is modern and clean and the staff overall was very polite and professional. Dr. Oh is excellent at what she does and is very efficient. I will definitely come back here for future appointments. Highly recommend. For other reviewers here, please do not use the word “gentle” to describe any dentist. There’s nothing gentle about needles going into your gum and the smell of something burning while your teeth is getting drilled.

Best dental office I’ve ever been to. I’ve been trusting Dr Ho and the entire Palm View Dental team for the last 6 years. Luckily I haven’t had any cavities or need for implants or crowns but I did have some sealants done on my molars. This office is honest and does not recommend any treatment I don’t need. I can attest to that since I’ve been coming here for 6 years. I have a mild cross bite and will be starting Invisalign soon to correct my crooked teeth. No funny business here. Palm view dental is very professional. I love that they follow up with their patients and remind you with texts telling you when your next cleaning or appointment is due! They will even go as far as call you to see if you want to book your long over due exams and cleanings. It’s great if you have a busy schedule. Most of us don’t often think about visiting the dentist. The dentists and hygienists here are all friendly and do great work. I have no complaints about pain with cleanings like how I did with some other practices. With my most recent cleaning, I definitely saw an improvement in the stains on my teeth afterwards. I’ve been a happy customer for two years and will be continuing to come here!

I’ve been with Dr. Karen Ho for over 15 years as a patient, and aside from being a truly skilled, professional, and knowledgable dentist, she is also a kind and caring person, a hardworking mom and wife, someone that you can trust with anything, not only your teeth. This is my second visit here to have major dental work done and I have to let everyone know this is the best dental office I have ever visited. I went to Palm View Dental for my routine teeth cleaning on 6/18/2016 and it turned out to be a royal treatment appointment!!! I was examined by Dr. Ho first before Joy, the hygienist started my teeth cleaning. During my examination with Dr. Ho, she told me I had quiet a bit of tartar on my upper front tooth and then she started to remove the tartar for me. She told me I might feel discomfort during the procedure and she would ask if I was doing okay during the whole process. She removed as much tartar as she can for me and then she told me she will ask Joy to make sure to get rid of the rest of the tartar that were deeper that might require numbing. Dr. Ho has always been very caring with her patients and she assured me that Joy will take care of my tartar issue. I am very glad that Dr. Ho took the time to remove the tartar for me!! Joy did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and she did not have to numb me up for the tartar removal and she told me to let her know if I feel any discomfort or pain during the tartar removal procedure. She was very gentle and yet very efficient!! My appointment did not finish until 6:15pm which was already past their office hour. She took her time cleaning my teeth and she even measured the depth of my gum because I had gum surgery before. Dr. Ho and Joy both wanted to make sure my gums are in good health. The kind of care that I have received from Dr. Ho and Joy made me feel like they really care about the health of my teeth. Everyone at the office were very friendly and treated me like royalty. Nayelly, the DA who assisted Dr. Ho during my examination was extremely friendly and helpful!! She offered me water and asked me If I wanted to watch a movie before Dr. Ho came in to do the examination. Nayelly wanted to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care before Dr. Ho came in. They really want to make their patients are well taken care before, during and after the treatment! Thank you so much for the royal treatment I have received!! I will definitely refer my friends and relatives to Palm View Dental for all their dental treatment. Keep up the excellent job!! 🙂 By the way, I would give them 6 stars instead of 5 stars!.

My first visit here was in late 2016. I came to Palm View Dental with a blank mind. I didn’t know what to expect or what to do. IF YOU’RE A FIRST TIME PATIENT… READ THIS!
As a first time patient, Dr. Karen Ho and her team recommended that I get my teeth cleaned and get an xray to establish the health status of my teeth. I’ve actually never had professional teeth cleaning before. It starts with a hygienist(go Joy!) taking xrays of your teeth and performing the clean. After the clean, an available(or requested) dentist will come by and review the reports. The dentist will prioritize a treatment plan to get your teeth back to a healthy state. At the end of the exam, they’ll generally ask about what you would like to change cosmetically. Everything you discuss with the staff is noted in their files/documentation. My go-to dentist is Dr. Ho. She always does a great job on educating me about how to take care of my teeth and how procedures in each treatment plan works. She recently helped me replace a 13 year old crown and did a wonderful job with the replacement. My old crown(from another dentist) was not implemented well and caused decay on my underlying teeth. Dr. Ho explained to me how it happens and gave me tips on how to prolong the seals of the crown. She also gave me a heads up on my future of needing a implant since it isn’t a very strong tooth since it had too much decay/loss. My go-to hygienist is Joy. She is very gentle, but thorough. I still remember when she picked out a piece of plaque for me to touch. Thank you for getting that stuff out of my mouth! 🙂 I was one of those kids who unfortunately did not have any routine dental visits. The last time I went to the dentist prior to Palm View was in 2007 for a root canal and crown. My opinion might be bias as Dr. Ho is the second dentist I’ve ever visited, but I truly believe she is amazing. My experience(s) at Palm View Dental has been life changing. I am very grateful to Dr. Ho and her team. I’m also very grateful to my girlfriend who recommended and pushed me to get my teeth checked at Palm View 🙂 Visiting the dentist is no longer a fear for me. Rather, it has become more of an enjoyable treat. I know I’m in good hands here and they’ve certainly earned a loyal patient.

When I first visited Dr. Ho I haven’t been to a dentist in many years. My teeth were in bad shape with numerous cavities. I was very self-conscious about it and definitely nervous on my first visit. But Dr. Ho treated me with respect and didn’t judge me or make me feel bad about the state of my teeth. If it wasn’t for this positive experience I’m sure I would’ve been scared of dentists for a while. Over the years I have been to Palm View Dental many many times for routine cleanings, check ups, occasional fillings, etc. The office is clean and well-equipped with modern dental equipment. I have met with Dr. Oh and Dr. Chen also. They were happy to answer any questions or concerns I had and of course provide the same respectful, welcoming, high quality of care experience as Dr. Ho. The hygienists, dental assistants and staff all provide the same experience. I first visited Dr. Ho’s office around 2010. I’m happy to see the same top-notch care and respectful welcoming experience 10 years later during my most recent visit on January 4, 2020.

I have such an amazing experience at Dr. Ho’s office. This dental office is the best one I have ever been to. They provide such an amazing service, with a great care and patience. I have been helped by 3 different doctors at the office, and all them are great. They explain everything thoroughly before the begin working with my teeth. The place is very clean and well kept (which is a good sign that they keep their instruments clean and sterile). Even the bathroom is really nice and clean. They provide free wi-fi. The staffs? They are all great. All the staffs are very very friendly. The front office staff June and Kitty are very nice and friendly. The best one of all was the RDA, Stephanie. She did an amazing job in taking my x-ray, assisting the doctor, polishing my teeth, and she also gave extra advices on how to take a better care on my teeth. She is the nicest assistant I have ever met out of all the dental office I have been to. Overall, I have the best dental experience at Dr. Ho’s office. I almost wish I have more cavities just so I can get their amazing service again. Everybody should go to the McDonald’s next door, eat bunch of ice cream, get cavity, and come to this place for the best dental treatment ever. I’ve been a patient at Palm View Dental since they were at the corner of Garfield & Valley (many years ago!). Dr. Karen Ho and the rest of the team are fantastic and take great care of all their patients. Today I made it through my first dental cleaning and exam since the lockdown. All patients are instructed to wait in our cars until our exam room is cleaned/disinfected, then they text or call you when they’re ready for you to enter the office. Mask required. Everyone’s temperature is taken, and we are asked to use hand sanitizer upon entry. All staff in masks, gowns, face shields, gloves. No ultrasonic cleaning machine used as it creates micro droplets, only manual descaling/plaque removal. Everyone is socially-distanced. I felt very safe. I saw Dr. Yang today, and she was very thorough and careful in my exam as well as kind and patient. Joy was my hygienist and my husband and I always ask for her because she is awesome. Palm View Dental takes great care of all their patients and it really shows! I highly recommend them if you are looking for a great dentist in the West SGV.

When I first visited Dr. Ho I haven’t been to a dentist in many years. My teeth were in bad shape with numerous cavities. I was very self-conscious about it and definitely nervous on my first visit. But Dr. Ho treated me with respect and didn’t judge me or make me feel bad about the state of my teeth. If it wasn’t for this positive experience I’m sure I would’ve been scared of dentists for a while. Over the years I have been to Palm View Dental many many times for routine cleanings, check ups, occasional fillings, etc. The office is clean and well-equipped with modern dental equipment. I have met with Dr. Oh and Dr. Chen also. They were happy to answer any questions or concerns I had and of course provide the same respectful, welcoming, high quality of care experience as Dr. Ho. The hygienists, dental assistants and staff all provide the same experience. I first visited Dr. Ho’s office around 2010. I’m happy to see the same top-notch care and respectful welcoming experience 10 years later during my most recent visit on January 4, 2020.

Palm View Dental is a solid 5 Star. Dr. Karen Ho and her staff are very professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. She has been our family dentist for almost a decade now. And we couldn’t be more happy about their service. When I first visited Dr. Ho she identified and fixed all my problem areas. Since then, I hadn’t seen a cavity or anything. I’m also doing my invisalign with their office. My daughter has been going to Dr. Ho since she was 3. Dr Ho and her staff always greets her by name. They are very attentive and thoroughly explains everything to her. And that makes my girl comfortable because the unknown frightens her. She gots fills, crown, tooth extraction, spacer added you name it but she still feels comfortable coming back. The office is nice and clean. They also offer cartoon for my kiddo every time we visit. They are very prompt we never had to wait long to be seen. We highly recommend Palm View Dental definitely the best in the neighborhood +++

Palm View Dental has held the highest standard in customer service & patient care. Their clinic is very clean and tidy. Wait time has never been a problem. Their are all subject matter experts in what they do and know. They have all been very supportive from my dental care to insurance coverage. Ensuring everything has been checked and balanced. As of late, I just recently had my Invisalign anchors removed and in the process to be reviewed for the next procedure to correct my bite and prevent any further grinding of my front teeth.

Before coming to Palm View Dental, I didn’t go to the dentist for 10 years. I know it sounds pretty bad considering your oral hygiene is something that you should take care of… But the staff members here didn’t make me feel ashamed at all. (They’ve seen it all, trust me!) My greatest concern was fear. I use to go to a dentist in Chinatown that messed up during treatment, and I was so scared of the dentist that I had panic attacks thinking of sitting in the chair. I had my teeth cleaning done by Joy. She’s extremely thorough and will always recommend the best method for brushing and flossing! I had my exam done by Dr. Ho and I believe I have found my life-time dentist now! Dr. Ho discovered 8 cavities. Which was a lot but considering it has been 10 years, I was (sorta) proud it wasn’t more! I had them all treated by Dr. Ho on another appointment and it was so quick and painless. I couldn’t even feel the shots. The dental assistants would ask me if I was doing okay during treatment. I felt so cared for that I forgot I was afraid of the dentist. They’ll even put on a movie for you during long treatment! My wisdom teeth were bothering me too. I was referred to the specialist, Dr. Kriwanek. He removed three of my partially impacted wisdom teeth. Seriously, you won’t feel anything when doing treatment here!! After coming to Palm View Dental, I can proudly recommend all the doctors to my dental-phobic comrades. I’ve met all three general dentist (Dr. Karen Ho, Dr. Min Hee Oh, & Dr. Mike Jin) and the two specialist here (Dr. Ryan Kriwanek & Dr. Leshin Chen) and I wished that I could’ve met them all sooner! They have the coolest technology and everything is super hi-tech here. They even have this cool machine that takes panoramic x-rays and 3d imaging!! You won’t regret coming here!.

I came to Dr. Karen Ho after finding her on Invisalign’s list of recommended dentists. I continued to read the reviews she got from fellow yelpers and went to her office for an Invisalign consult as I have always wanted my teeth straightened. My visit was very pleasant. This dental office was amazingly clean. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Dr. Ho was very knowledgeable and she explained everything to me. She spent a lot of time answering all the questions I had from my own internet research and clarified any misconceptions. She was very thorough and I was very pleased. I’ve scheduled an appointment to get my teeth straightened next week. I’m so excited. I will definitely refer my friends to her.

Honestly…I don’t like dentists! I hoped never to visit a dentist until my wisdom tooth started to hurt and my co-worker recommended Dr. Ho. I was very hesitant at first but had no choice as I woke up every morning in pain and it hurt to eat and brush. My co-worker got annoyed at me complaining and made me go to Dr. Ho. Wow! What a pleasant experience! She explained everything to me and took care of my pain the same day! She even called me later that night to make sure I was doing ok after she took my tooth out! I can’t believe it! I didn’t even swell! I’m definitely going back to get the rest of my work done….28 years of neglect….yikes! Better late than never!

Everyone (doctors, hygienists, staff) is very friendly and always asks how I feel during my visit. They have a great health safety protocol. You check in from your car through call/text and then they let you know when you can come in. Even before covid, I’ve never had to wait long to be called in from the waiting room. Then they take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer. Everyone is wearing a mask, except when you need to take it off for your cleaning or other.

My whole family has been going to Palm View Dental for the past 3 plus years. We are extremely satisfied with their level of service and professionalism. Your wait wait time on a scheduled appointment is within 3 minutes. The office is clean and well designed. There is a high level of professionalism with the dental service, they always tell you what they are going do, and the work is gentle especially the cleaning. They use high pressure water to do most of the teeth cleaning which is easier than the dreaded hook device. The hook is used at the end but sparingly. The only negative opinion of this office was their orthodontist referral for our son. We had a poor experience with the other office because we felt that they were too pushy for a sale rather than being a professional advisor. We instead went with our own orthodontist. We go in every 6 months for dental work and the level of service is the same. Consistency is quality. I would rate this dental office as “Meets and Exceeds”

I have such an amazing experience at Dr. Ho’s office. This dental office is the best one I have ever been to. They provide such an amazing service, with a great care and patience. I have been helped by 3 different doctors at the office, and all them are great. They explain everything thoroughly before the begin working with my teeth. The place is very clean and well kept (which is a good sign that they keep their instruments clean and sterile). Even the bathroom is really nice and clean. They provide free wi-fi. The staffs? They are all great. All the staffs are very very friendly. The front office staff June and Kitty are very nice and friendly. The best one of all was the RDA, Stephanie. She did an amazing job in taking my x-ray, assisting the doctor, polishing my teeth, and she also gave extra advices on how to take a better care on my teeth. She is the nicest assistant I have ever met out of all the dental office I have been to. Overall, I have the best dental experience at Dr. Ho’s office. I almost wish I have more cavities just so I can get their amazing service again. Everybody should go to the McDonald’s next door, eat bunch of ice cream, get cavity, and come to this place for the best dental treatment ever. With the help of Dr. Ho and her staff, my black and cavity ridden teeth has become a white and healthy teeth. My teeth have never been happier. Go Team Dr.HO!!! HOORAAAAH!!
