They took me in for an an emergency root canal. They were helpful in giving me meds to hold off the pain before the appointment and walked me through everything. I would not go to another dentist! Their staff is friendly and they provide you with plenty of options for you to choose from. They take their time to care for their patients especially during this COVID-19 time. They do a questionnaire and check your temperature before taking you to the back. Thank you for keeping our teeth healthy!

Dr. Vasa is really professional and does a great job of explaining your dental issue. He is kind and makes the experience as painless as possible. Love this dental office! From start to finish it was outstanding service , from the pretty receptionist to getting my appt right then and there , they fit me in on a emergency same day. My appt was at 5 pm and they took me in right at 5 pm. Dr Vasa was very nice and very educated in his findings with my teeth. I have been scared to death of dentist from age of 5 and I’m 44 now , My experience there was awesome Dr. Vasa does not pressure you into a bunch of stuff you dont need he tells you truith and makes it the best way for patient to understand what they need , unlike other places who add a bunch of stuff on that you really dont need . I had 4 cavities that Dr. Vasa and Dr. AJ Vasa, filled. I showed up in a powered wheelchair. They helped me transfer from it, made sure I was ccomfortable, parked the wheelchair and made me feel at ease all the way. Compassionate, gentle and professional. I have only praise for the father and son dentists. The crew was also super nice. The clinic is small, true, but it has new and modern equipments. I can comfortably recommend them. It worked for me.

This dentistry has quality high-touch service. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the lady in the front, Nancy, with such an amazing personality then I began to go to my procedure as I had a chipped tooth from playing sports. It was really noticeable but Dr. AJ fixed it right up for me. Thank you very much. I love this place. Would definitely recommend this to anybody.

I’ve always had really bad anxiety when it comes to getting my teeth worked on but both Dr. J Vasa and Dr. AJ Vasa really know how to make their patients feel comfortable.  You don’t have to wait weeks and weeks to get an appointment, they really make an effort to get you right in based on your convenience!  The rest of the staff is really friendly too!  I highly recommend Lakewood Family Dentistry if you want to feel like someone who really cares about you is working on your teeth!

Dr. Vasa and his staff are all excellent! Everyone was friendly, professional and exhibited great competency in their work. Dr. Vasa was very open to questions and very thorough in his explanations of what work needed to be done and why. I have known Dr Jiten Vasa for many years. He’s been the only dentist that I’ve ever felt comfortable with. Now that his son, Dr AJ Vasa, has joined the practice, its twice as great! The staff is very kind & welcoming and makes for an overall pleasant experience. Everything is always discussed up front. There are never any surprise charges after a procedure is completed. The Doctors Vasa are very thorough at explaining every step of any procedure. They make you feel comfortable and at ease. I can honestly say I don’t mind coming to see the Dentist. I never thought I would say that out loud, I’ve always been a big chicken!

I hate dentists so I’ve been avoiding going but I knew I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out. I read some reviews and decided to try it out… Not only was the process extremely easy, but everyone was extremely welcoming!! I absolutely loved it!! Thank you Dr. Vasa and his amazing assistant!! They had me smiling the entire time 🙂 My experience was so good that my friend decided to go the same day because she also had an emergency! They scheduled her for the same day and she was also extremely happy with everything!

Came here after being referred by a friend. I go to the dentist regularly but it had been some time since my last checkup. Dr AJ was awesome! He was very thorough and explained everything to me in detail. I got my teeth cleaned at my initial visit and returned later for some fillings. He was gentle, I barely felt the shot, and I didn’t have any pain afterwards. The staff was friendly and the office was clean. I would definitely recommend this office!

I have been coming to Dr. Vasa’s office for about five visits over a few months and find their service to be excellent. The front desk staff is polite and welcoming. I am 100% cavity fee because of their help. They are also helping with my teeth clenching and grinding. The prices are reasonable and the quality of service is more than I expected. I feel more confident smiling and gladly will refer them to anyone who asks me for a high quality dental experience.

Let me start by saying I absolutely HATE going to the dentist…so much so I didn’t go for nearly a decade. I have always had terrible experiences with different dentists including bad bed side manner, rude staff and poor dental assistants. I started having tooth aches and pain so I finally decided to go. I initially picked Lakewood Family Dentistry because it was close to work and they were accepting new patients. And I’m so glad I did! Dr. AJ is wonderful!! Dr. AJ and the rest of the staff are fantastic. They knew I was apprehensive and made me comfortable by explaining every procedures, costs, and making small talk and getting to know me. I’ve been a frequent visitor over the last several months fixing 10 years of neglect and have nothing but positive experiences. Dr. AJ even makes getting shots less awful by gently wiggling your gum and distracting you by talking. I highly recommend Dr. AJ and Lakewood Family Dentistry!!!

Dr. Vasa and his staff are wonderful people. On March 23, 2017, I went to visit them my second time to get one of my teeth fixed that already had a filling that I broke crunching on one of those round hard red and white mint candies many many months ago rehashing a cavity that continued to get bigger. I know…bad girl. Anyway, the first time I pad them a visit everyone from the front desk to the back were so friendly and you could tell they enjoy working there. Oh, and they all have beautiful white teeth with great smiles. I hide it well, but I do or did have a fear of dentists do to a very bad experience with one who caused me pain, freaked me out, more pain due to a developed abcess from her work and then tooth extraction by another dentist under the influence of Xanax and a hit of laughing gas. I do not Remember if I told anyone at Lakewood Family Dentistry about my aweful experience. Well, my fiancé and I arrived together at this second visit, but he was called away for business. Yes, I was nervous. The front desk greeted me with beaming smiles and friendly thoughts of remembering me because of my voice. By the way, thank you ladies for the compliment. I was still nervous though. Nervous until Dr. Vasa put me at ease with his kind demeanor. You can tell by his eyes that he is a good man and genuinely cares about his clients and his assistants. I have not seen him interact with the front desk, but I am sure they are treated as well. Dr. Vasa talked me through every step of the procedure. And he explained why he does certain parts of the procedure a certain way. He also took precautionary steps so I would not feel pain. At one point when I thought I could feel pain, (I think it was more like a panic attack rising from my bad experience) he gave me another numbing shot and I calmed down. He worked quick and diligently all the while sharing what he was doing and multitasking by giving instructions to his asistant(s) in order to help his other clients. His main focus though, was on my tooth. When he was finished he explained the layers of work he did on my tooth. When he showed me his creation… (Seriously… his creation because my tooth was in bad condition and needed serious repair.)… My tooth looked like I never had a cavity!!! He drilled down and built up a new tooth!!! It is beautiful!!! told him I would have loved to film the entire procedure and put it on YouTube. I’ve been a patient of Dr Vasa for over 30 years. Despite the fact that I live quite far away and I’m sure there are other qualified dentists in my area, I refuse to choose a new dentist. The experience I’ve had with Dr. Vasa is second to none. He is very caring, as is his team, of me as a person, and then as a patient. He is always upfront about his pricing, timing, and not to mention is excellent at what he does. Most importantly, I can affirmatively say that I have never felt much if any pain through all the different procedures I have had with Dr. Vasa over the years. He has an amazing hand, as does his son, who is also a key dentist in the practice. I highly recommend Dr. Vasa has practice to anyone looking for a warm, family oriented, long-term dentist.

My experience at Lakewood Family Dentistry was a pleasant one. The entire staff from the front desk personnel to the dental assistants were remarkable friendly and curtious to me . Dr. Vasa Jr. and his dental assistant Tanisha were very perfessional and took very good care of me and I trust them with their service and highly recommend them and their Dentistry to everyone for anamazing experience .

It took me a long time to find a dentist that was close to my house and who actually cared about their patients. Lakewood family Dentistry honestly really treats you like family! I don’t want to name names, but the previous dentist that I was going to was horrible! I had to wait for at least 30 min until I was seated and another 20 min to see a doctor or even a technician. Lakewood family dentist isn’t like that! They see their patients right away, and they are extremely friendly. When you first walk in, you are always greeted by the friendly medical assistants. Once you sign your name and are seated, you are seen in less than 5 minutes. Dr. AJ Vasa is extremely knowledgeable and warm. It’s important for any company to treat their patients with respect. I love how Dr. Vasa always ask me or any other patient how we are doing. A lot of other doctors just doesn’t do that. Dr. AJ Vasa did such a fantastic job on my teeth! I had a filling done, bonding on one of my teeth, and a tooth that needed to be shaved down and Dr. Vasa was very efficient and gentle. Thank you, Dr. Vasa, for the excellent customer service, and I highly recommended Lakewood Family Dentistry for everyone! 🙂

I’ll start by disclosing that I’m a Surgical Tech of 25 years. I have always been scare in truest meaning of Denist all my life. Needless to say at my age I finally had to type care of my many issues. After a couple of bad experiences I searched yelp for the first time and read good reviews about the Doctors and staff. My very first appointment I noted the professionalism of the front office staff and started a path to reassurance and confidence that they believed I’ve was in good hands. In good hand medically and financially. I was called back in a timely manner by very polite back office staff. Meeting the father and son team and knowing that my care would be consistent, not the rotating doctors that seem to be common since I moved to So. Cal. Dr. Vasa and younger Dr. Vasa evaluated the care that I would be needing and made a care plan on the basis of what was best for me. After many appointment and a lot of hard work performed with professionalism and patience by the entire staff, my dental health has not be better in 25 years. I wanted to write this reveiw to thank them because my verbal thank to me is not enough. Thank you Doctors and your staff for the awesome care that I received over many treatments, even though I seen with my own eyes the wonderful way you treat all of your very diverse patient population. I highly recommend this practice every chance I get.

I recently had my first few visits with Dr AJ and I am very pleased with this office so far!  I have recently moved to the area and was referred to the office by a friend who has been coming here for years.  I was a little nervous at first since I had been going to the same dentist back home for years, but the office staff was really friendly and eased my fears.  Dr AJ was really nice and friendly, and took the time to explain the treatment to me.  He answered all my questions and made me feel really comfortable.   Unfortunately I did have to come back a second time to get 2 fillings done but it wasnt too bad.  I barely felt  the shot.  Other than the fact that I stayed numb for 3 hours after, It was great!  I will be coming to Dr AJ for years to come.

Referred by insurance, husband went before. This was my first visit, assistant Anna was very nice and informative as well as Dr. explained everything.I was extremely nervous and they really took their time with me. Got me in right away on emergency and took care of issue they took their time. And they asked about my husband, nice to be somewhere and they remember you and are concerned.

Dr. Vasa has been my dentist for at least 8 years. He is very compassionate with his clients and truly cares for their needs. He explains everything and is very gentle. I never have to wait long and his whole staff are very helpful. I highly recommend him as a very professional dentist.

I have been to many dentist but this one feel much more comfortable and they don’t exploit you. There are dentists who just scare the hell out of you just to fetch money out of pocket – that’s not the case with Dr Vasa. He genuinely cares for his patients and takes care at his best! I would highly recommend Dr Vasa anytime. He has vast experience, and he will walk extra mile to make sure you are helped! I have seen lots of Yelpers writing some really isolated one-time story which may or may not be true – but in my experience – it has been great. I have been regular patient since last 5 years!!

Lakewood Family Dentistry is awesome! My son and I went in today (September 26, 2017) the staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Vasa is amazing. It was my sons third time going there and my first time being seen at Lakewood Family Dentistry. The staff was so great with my son and really made him feel comfortable and happy (he is 2 years old). Dr. Vasa was so gentile, caring, and really put a huge smile on my sons face. My experience was equally as amazing, the staff was so great in walking me through every step of the process. I had to get an emergency root canal here and the staff and both DR Vasa’s were amazing. They not only made you feel super welcomed and comfortable but were fair and honest about everything; pricing, the procedure, etc. Unlike a normal office, this staff was super fun and definitely have a personality when it comes to stuffy dental appointments. They are open on Saturdays and are very accommodating. The waiting room is quite small but the decor is lux; working tv, magazines and free water. They play music in the office so that’s a good distraction from any dental work. It’s in general a small place but they get it done and it’s really clean. There’s no hidden agendas or anything here. Thanks for everything!

My family has ignored our dental health for more than a decade (horrible, I know), and when the inevitable tooth problems arose, we were woefully unprepared and uninsured. Fortunately, BOTH Dr. Vasas and their staff were extremely helpful, understanding, and not judgemental at all. I brought my mother here once for a root canal and once for some gum pain and both times, the dentists here answered all her questions, offered her multiple options and, most importantly, fixed whatever was bothering her. My mother is a bargain shopper who price compares for EVERYTHING, but not only being affordable, the quality was top notch; my mother was extremely happy with the results and the price. She especially appreciated that the younger Dr. Vasa took extra time to answer ALL of her questions despite the fact he could have easily dismissed her to get to another patient. That level of personalized care alone deserves praise! As someone who accompanies his loved ones to every kind of medical or dental appointment, I appreciated the magazine selection, the television in the waiting room, the hand sanitizer, and the staff’s perpetual good-nature despite frightened children and in-pain adults they deal with constantly. I do wish the drinking water station was in the waiting room itself, but that’s just niggling about preferences- it wasn’t an issue to walk the two feet inside to get a cup. I know when my own bad dental habits come back to bite me (puns!), I’ll be here over any other in Southern California.

I came to Dr. Vasa with a set of very poorly made dentures and by that time was not inclined to trust yet another dentist that just let me down. Then I walked in the door for the first and felt welcomed and that I mattered. Every member of the staff is fantastic and my confidence in my choice of dentist is so high that I know my mom will be in good hands having just switched over to Dr. Vasa’s office.

The best family dental care all staff friendly awesome dentists, they made me feel welcomed and confortable, I got my 2 wisdom teeth pulled out in this office they did an amazing job, fast recovery , I did not experience the pain I was expecting to feel they took such great care of me, I truly appreciate their prompt attention and care, I most definitely recommend this family dentistry to any one seeking good attention and awesome care.

It was the best decision I took to fly from Atlanta to LA for my treatment and Dr Jiten Vasa did not prove me wrong, he was the savior of my life. I had just joined a new job and hence I did not have a lot of vacation, and my dental problems were severe and needed immediate attention. With some recommendation, I contacted Dr Vasa and explained him my situation and decided to get my treatment done from him. Since my pain was so sudden, he had to accommodate me in his busy schedule and squeeze in as many appointments as he could by working in extra hours if he had to. That was the first time I felt that there is still hope for humanity and doctors do empathize with their patients and not just treat them like money paying machines. Dr Vasa was so precise, meticulous and sharp at his work, that till date I have not had any issues with the teeth he fixed. Along with being a great dentist, he is also very patient in his work and would constantly shower one with great tips on dental hygiene and life. He is a very happy man and has a very interesting perspective to life . I would recommend him without any hesitation and would have wished I could have taken advantage of his services more often than now.

I have been traumatized by previous dental services I have received! Consequently, I avoided going to the dentist for many years. Luckily, I stumbled upon Lakewood Family Dentistry and scheduled an appointment for a filling today. My anxiety and fear of dentists went away thanks to Dr. Aj Vasa. I was seen in about 10 minutes and out within an hour. I know that I was one of those annoying clients that asks way too many questions about the procedure and cost. If you’re like me, a nervous wreck, at the dentist you will really appreciate Dr. Vasa’s patience. I expressed how nervous I was about getting all numbed up and drilled on and he was so professional. Also, I was amazed at how quick and rather painless the shot was. I definitely plan on coming back!

I haven’t been to a dentist in at least 8 years (I know so bad) I found this place here on Yelp, I must say I love it! I was seen on time both times I’ve been so far (I’ll be going for more fillings wah) which is awesome. They cut some prices for me due to me getting laid off and my insurance expiring soon which I am so thankful for, it’s good to know they’re not all about digging in your pockets. These are some good guys!

Dr Vasa explains and answers all questions in details. Their dental work is of excellent quality. Staff is friendly, office is clean, and wait is minimal. I had problems from work done by another dentist. Dr Vasa explained that I was having pain from poorly done crown through x-rays and by cold touch and tapping on the tooth. Once the crown was redone by him, all pains went away. I definitely recommend this office to all.

Don’t let the outside fool you! I Had such a great experience coming to this office. Everyone is friendly and everything is very clean ! I have recommended many of my friends and family to this dental office and they have been very pleased as well. Never thought I’d actually like going to my dental appointments but Dr. Vasa and his staff are excellent at making you feel comfortable. They meet all my needs and are very upfront about prices and procedures! Id say they really know their stuff!
