This was the most excellent experience with a dentist of any kind my entire lifetime ~ and I am 62. From the very beginning in my search for a new dentist, Diana at the front desk (who is proficient at phone, email and text) and her kindness in making my first appointment to the gentle and caring treatment from Dr. Karaymyan (for a root canal) ~ I knew I was in the presence of EXCELLENCE. I really wish I could give 10 stars. Additionally, he does everything ~ so instead of having to see two different dentists to get the root canal and crown ~ he can do both – using advanced technology. Additionally, he does teeth cleaning and whitening ~ he knows how and does it all ~ giving you the feeling that he genuinely cares about you and all the needs of your teeth, gums and mouth. Jessica, the assistant was even excellent! I am feeling very grateful to have found an office where everybody is gifted and talented at what they are doing and have found my dentist for life. There is really not enough room to sing the praises of this office and everybody involved. 

Zoom teeth whitening really works!!! And I had just a little bit of sensitivity for few hours later. They use this really cool camera prior to procedure…really zooms in on your teeth. You will see your teeth like you have never seen before…it’s like seeing them under the microscope. Turned out, that I had the glue from my old braces still stuck to my teeth. Dr. K polished them off in minutes and my teeth feel really smooth. Not sure what I like the most, whiter teeth or smooth teeth…I will enjoy both))) Thanks guys. By the way, receptionist was great as well, scheduled me in just about a week from my initial call.

While on vacation, I had a minor emergency and needed some help. This place was close to my stay and had good reviews. Im glad I went in here. First of all, the front desk was welcoming. Dr. Ken was able to help me out and point me in the right direction. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting or residing in San Francisco.

I want to express my infinity gratitude to Dr.Kenneth Karamyan. I had problem with my 6th teeth, I could lost it, but doctor said that he can do root canal and put the crown, so I can save it. And I did it, it’s works. He did amazing job. I can smile very confident, beautiful smile is very important for me. I guess for every women. By the way, my new teeth looks even better than old.

Highest praises for this practice! The receptionist, the hygienist and the dentist himself were all fantastic and were so professional in dealing with my ridiculous antics revolving around teeth whitening (I was petrified of the pain and was a nightmare to deal with). The results are PHENOMENAL! The pain involved.. well.. we all know that teeth whitening can cause significant tooth sensitivity (some people get it, some don’t..) Enter at your own risk on that front. But if you decide to do it, you’re doing it in the right place and your teeth will be stunningly, sparklingly gorgeously white:)) A huge thank you to Presidio Dental and their patience with me:)

I went to Dr. Kenneth Karamyan for the first time about 3 years ago for Invisalign. He was very patient, informative and educational in setting my expectations and helping me understand what would happen over the next 18-24 months. He stays on top of the latest and greatest and has the top of the line equipment to monitor and track your progress. I followed the process for about 12 months and saw phenomenal improvement… but then I got lazy and stopped following the program. As a result, I stupidly delayed my teeth alignment. I finally resumed again about 3 months ago and Dr. Karamyan was, again, so patient in getting me back on track and now I’m adhering to the rules. I have started to see the improvement that I wanted so badly. I love my smile now but still have a few more months to finish. This time I’ll listen and follow the rules.

Great practitioner! I am new to San Francisco so was going to find a dentist for my regular care but never got around to do it. So, last week, part of my toot chipped. I got really scared, thought, might lose the tooth. They were able to take me in same day!(thanks Diana), although just for a check up. Crown had to be scheduled few days later, and that is what prompted me to write this review. What a cool process. Its like a 3D printing., and i got my crown the same day! Feels great too! like my tooth. Doesn’t feel like a fake at all. Been chewing on it all day just just to test it out and no pain. Thanks doc. By the way, parking was no problem, free and just down the street. I am coming back for a full check up and cleaning.

What a wonderful dentist! He has given me and my family members beautiful reasons to smile to show-off his work. Even without insurance, his staff worked with us for cash payments/financing. Never have I been so in love with a dental practice. Thanks Dr. Karamyan and staff!

I am very pleased with my visit to see Dr. Karamyan. The front desk staff were very personable, friendly, and caring. He took his time to address my concerns and questions before I got started, which made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything throughly, and we were able to actually have a conversation about my care. He gave me his insight, helped me to establish a plan not just for now but for the future as well. I can tell that he cared about my oral health, and he educated me on things that I had never been made aware of. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my 1st visit and I definitely will be returning. Thank you Dr. Karamyan and staff!

Great little office (the wall murals – wow!). The office assistant is super friendly and nice to talk to, and I’m always seen to right away. The hygienist is also very sweet and I had a comfortable cleaning. I needed a unique filling and Dr. Karamyan let me watch him design a 3d rendering of my filling for 3D printing. V cool. They have all the high tech stuff here. Now I’ve started the process of much-needed Invisalign with them, and Dr. K came up with a strategy that seemed better than other consultations I’ve had with other doctors (no removal of teeth necessary; etc). Recommended!

I came to this place with a dental emergency and they have been nothing but wonderful to me ever since. They made sure to give me a really deep cleaning that fixed my gum problems and set me on the path of recovering. Next time I came in, they didn’t skimp on the cleaning either and made sure to tell me exactly what to do. I love the insurance plan and it is cheaper than other places. Especially considering the quality, the relaxing environment, the honest and hardworking staff. I am contacting them for my invisilign retainer even though I had it done elsewhere originally. One reviewer said this place is gumtastic, and I couldn’t agree more

First of all I would like to start off w/ how I was always afraid to see a dentist & procrastinated about making appointments w/ one b/c of my past horrible experience w/ a dentist. Well, Dr Kenneth Karamyan made all my fears disappear today. He was patient & very attentive to my fear of needles. I know that many pple just like I don’t like the shots in their mouth. Well, I promise you that you will not feel a thing. I did not even feel a thing. Dr Karamayan was very patient & attentive to listening listening to your dental complaints & fears. Also, I have realized when I came in expecting not to have any procedure done @ this appointment & expecting to re-schedule for another day for a procedure, that his office is equipped to make the molds for the crowns. He has this incredible Dental 3D technology to make the molds right there in the office. I would love to keep writing about my wonderful experiences @my dental appointment. But long story short, I would highly recommend to all my family & friends to see Dr Karamyan, if they need dental work. Oh Yes, I should also tell to you, that I don’t know how your experiences must be w/ Dental offices, re: hidden costs & fees, but Dr. Karamayan office assistant made sure to make me comfortable & answered to all of my questions when I asked, at the time when I was making this appointment to see him. And, I was re-assured that there would be no hidden fees & unforeseen dental costs. I this this is definitely a very important topic when choosing a dentist. I seriously had past bad experiences w/ Dentist’s on this subject.

I found Presidio Dental as I was looking for a dentist close to my house. That was 2 years ago and every time I go to Presidio I am so happy I found them. Dr. K is an expert in his field and explains the how and why of any procedure. His demeanor is friendly yet professional. I always feel confident and at ease when I am in the dentist chair. Staff is always friendly and accommodating to schedule changes or cancellations. The office has a relaxed and homey atmosphere. Very unlike the “dental factory” I used to visit in downtown SF with hordes of people and overworked staff. Though the office is in the Marina/Presidio area, the parking is not too difficult. I’ve always been able to find street parking within a block’s distance. Definitely recommend Dr. K if you are looking for a dentist for general dentistry work or cosmetic procedures.

Woow such an amazing dentist and very nice and clean office , Dr.Karamyan has such an gentle touch. I had a root canal done a couple years ago with a different doctor  which was not done properly and because of it, i had pain and discomfort. When i went to dr.k he fixed everything and i had no more pain and sense i have no insurance he really worked with me on the price which i really appreciated. Thank you doc your the best would definitely recommend you!!!

I found Dr. Ken from an Invisalign coupon, but I’ve gotten more out of Presidio Dental than a good deal. I got a GREAT deal and a dentist I can really talk to! He works with me to grant amazing self-pay rates for dental work AND has great communication regarding my clear aligners, which begin next week! So far he has walked me through x-rays, fixing cavities, dental impressions, and viewing the three dimensional model of how my teeth will move. I feel like I’m in good hands because he gives me all the possible options–would you like to make your bite absolutely perfect, even if it takes another nine months?–and listens to my answers. He’s a bit of a chatty Kathy, which isn’t for everyone, but if you’re in a rush just make sure he knows that when you schedule an hour-long appointment you actually have to be out the door at 3:00! Besides a few appointments running way over the estimated time, I have no complaints.

Wow, that was fun! [… isn’t that odd to hear about a dental procedure?] Yesterday Dr. Karamyan completed my implant process—the final step was fabricating the porcelain crown now that the tissue around the implant was sound and healthy. He used scanning technology that calibrated the size and shape of the tooth, how it would fit in relation to my lower jaw, and then refined, adjusted and sculpted the graphic tooth until it looked just right and fit perfect. Then he printed it in porcelain on a 3D printer. He allowed me to follow the process every step of the way. Turned out great, fit just right. Dr. Karamyan is the first dentist in my long experience of problem teeth who gave me the time and the open-minded listening to really express my concerns. He is a very good listener. He considers alternatives, not just the obvious, highest-fee solution, so he is a first for me in that area.

Went for a root canal and had great experience. The doctor talks you though the charges prior and then talks to you about what he’s doing play by play if you want which is huge when you can’t see anything going on. Highly recommend Presidio Dental

Presidio Dental is an excellent Dental office.  Dr. Karamyan is an amazing dentist and did an exceptional job on my teeth.  He also did a great job whitening them.  He is a true professional and always makes sure the patient is comfortable and happy.  He always goes above and beyond.  The staff is great as well. I highly recommend Presidio Dental for your Dental needs.

Dr. K has been my dentist for the last three years, and I have been incredibly happy with the treatments and service he and his team provide. It is a relaxed and comfortable environment, and I trust his recommendations on treatments to perform. I really like the live video he can provide to show you inside your mouth, and what is going on. I’ve also had to have a crown replaced and they were able to do everything same day. Makes it all so much more efficient. Highly recommend Dr. K and his team.

Fabulous experience, and for me the best dentist.  My sister, her husband, my husband and nephew are all dentists, but based in NYC so I searched for the best I could find in the Bay Area.  Dr Karamyan is the best, period.  I had an emergency during COVID. Tooth had a root canal, and cracked. He saved the tooth (with a cavity to boot) and 3D printed a crown in less than 20 minutes that fit first time in.  For me, his personal touch, commitment to perfection, and patient first is one in a million.  Going back in June for deep cleaning and professional whitening all of which he has done before.  Big thank you to the Dr and his staff for your amazing professional care.

First off, I don’t really feel like posting any photos of my teeth so this will remain a photoless post. 😉 I discovered Dr. Kenneth Karamyan & Presidio Dental through Yelp as it’s the closest dental practice from my house and I’m all about convenience. That being said, picking a good dentist is key and it shouldn’t matter how near/far one should drive to get top notch dental work. I went in last month for a routine cleaning and invisalign consultation and was super impressed with Dr. Kenneth Karamyan. The appointment started on time, everyone was friendly and he has a nice calm demeanor. He’s super focused on having top notch technology to assist with all things dental. I have to have a crown replaced sometime this year due to a previous dentist mess up and he has a machine that will print one out while I wait in the chair. Unreal. I wouldn’t say I’m ever looking forward to going to the dentist but, at least I like Dr. Kenneth Karamyan because he has my best interests in mind.

I was in need for a cleaning and checkup so I called Presidio Dental to see if they take my insurance. Without any issues or inconvenience, the front desk took care of handling my insurance information and making sure I was covered for my visit as well as the procedures I came in for. Dr. Karamyan introduced himself to me and was very detailed with what the next step would be for my treatment. He printed a treatment plan that specified the cost out of pocket as well as what insurance covers. This office is very organized in that way and I appreciate his time, effort and skills.

Dr. Karamyan has been my dentist for numerous years and each visit is always a pleasure with excellent results. I am bit of a scaredy-cat when going to the dentist, yet Dr. Karamyan understands this and is empathetic and provides gentle, excellent care and treatments at each visit. Too, Dr. Karamyan’s staff is always very friendly and helpful, which is a big plus when going in for all my dental appointments. Dr. Karamyan is definitely a Five Star dentist, with a Five Star team to match!

I have been a patient for Dr.Ken Karamyan for almost 15yrs. I was trilled to find out he opened his practice in the Bay area a couple of years ago, I did not want to go to someone else. His work ethic is amazing makes you feel at ease regardless what treatment will be done as he makes it feel painless.:) I get compliments on my teeth all the time and owe it all to him! I would highly recommend him. My recent treatment was getting my invisilign. Worked with me for payment plan, he had to take my wisdom teeth out and do a crown before he can start anything so for that I am very pleased on his advise and outcome. Truly i can say I do look forward to going to the dentist him and his staff are amazing not to say the least it feels like a spa at times with the way u are treated and beautiful office. Thank u

The first time I met Dr. Karamyan, I was really impressed because I wanted him to tell me the treatment I needed in just one appointment. I am now very careful in choosing a dentist. My coworkers asked me why I go to the Presidio for dental work. Well, I said you have to go to the dentist that knows dentistry… I had challenges with my previous dentist and I learned my lesson. I want to get great dental care and service that’s why I chose Presidio Dental.

I just got my teeth cleaned today ! Feels super clean lol and I’m almost done with my clear correct ! 6 month to go yay !!! Service is great here , doc Kenneth is awesome !and all of his staff are super friendly and professional too .

I went to Presidio Dental for a root canal procedure a few days ago. I was treated by Dr. Kenneth and his colleague Dr. Emma. I have to say, I’ve been to many dentists in my 16 years living in the San Francisco area, including various clinics in the Richmond area, specifically Richmond Dental, and other places. The way Kenneth and the rest of his staff carry themselves far exceeded my expectations. This dentist is amazing. My entire procedure was absolutely pain free. Their clinic is well kept and clean, and possibly the best part is their state of the art equipment, which is new and must be expensive. They spared no expense for their clients, and that truly means a lot. I am one of those individuals who has a fear of dentists and dental procedures. Those fears disappeared about 10 minutes into my root canal, as I felt no pain, and was given goggles for eyewear to deal with the bright light. Again, their equipment is unlike any I’ve ever seen anywhere else. It must have cost them a fortune but it makes the world of difference when you are in the chair. I could go on, but I think I’ve made my point. Overall the procedure was well priced, totally painless, and ALL completed within only two visits. I’ve never in my life had a root canal be over this quickly and efficiently, it’s a testament to their professional attitude and practice. I’ve had a total of 4 root canals done, 3 at other clinics and 1 at Dr. Kenneth’s. My only regret is only hearing about them now, I would have gladly came in for all my root canals. I promptly switched my dental care to Presidio Dental. This is the only clinic I will ever consider in the future.

The office is lovely, spacious and clean…as it lends a very calming and serene atmosphere during your treatment. Beautiful views, quiet music and very comfortable chairs. I went in for a routine cleaning which went well and it was very thorough which included digital xrays. His assistant, Gina, was gentle and very nice. It turned out that I needed a filling, which Dr. Ken was able to do on the same day and he fit me in to his schedule. The work was reasonably priced, well done and Dr. Ken’s touch is very gentle. I did not feel the injection which was fantastic considering it was a front tooth! Dr Ken is also amazing in that he is multi-skilled in performing all types of work…from general cosmetic dentistry to orthodontics to root canals and extractions too! I highly recommend this place! It is exceptionally clean, they are meticulous with following all the guidelines and they are very professional. There is ample free parking in this area and it is very easy to get to by car or bus. A++ luxury dentistry all the way!

The best decision that I have ever made! For years I have wanted invisilign for my teeth that has relapsed over the years because of not wearing my retainers. I love this office. You will never find a nicer dentist or orthodontist like this one! He will take the time to know his patients and hear their concerns. I told him of my life and financial situation and he worked with me and in addition he asked me what I wanted to accomplish with treatment. What is even cooler is that he talked to me about his late at equipment used in the office for exceptional treatment for his patients. Best office ever! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, this is truly his passion.

i am normally terrified of dentists. really, I am. luckily, I had a great experience at Presidio Dental. The staff were extra sweet and caring, the place is clean and nice, and Dr Kenneth is always relaxed, kind and most importantly- gentle. Am I not afraid of dentists anymore? possibly, I’ll let you know after my next visit at this great clinic.

When it came time to take care of my teeth my friends recommended me to visit Dr. Karamyan. First of all I need to say that I have pretty difficult case as I have gaps between my front teeth. I have visited a lot of dentists. And none of them really seemed trustful. When I came to Dr. Karamyan’s office for consultation I was warmly greeted and didn’t need to wait for doctor to start consultation. I was amazed how attentive he was to even small details of the treatment plan, was not pushy and made sure that I agree with treatment I will like the approximate result. In about a week I came back to have my wisdom teeth pulled out. It was stressful for me but thanks to the Dr. Karamyan’s team I didn’t even realize that first tooth was already extracted. I didn’t have any swelling or pain after. Good job! Also I want to point out that receptionists are always informative and very friendly. Overall I highly recommend Presidio dental because of their professionalism and friendly approach to their patients.

We happened upon Presidio Dental during an emergency, however, it was a blessing in disguise. Dr. Karamyan is very patient, professional, and knowledgable with his patients. He quickly got the x-rays done, diagnosed the issue and explained what was happening each step of the way. The office is new, clean, and the equipment is top of the line. Overall, our experience was very positive and we have now switched over to this dental office.

I went to presidio dental for an orthodontic consultation after seeing their deal on Groupon. I called and they said they offer the same deal through the office so you can finance it. The office is clean and the people are nice, the receptionist is especially helpful. I found parking really easily outside (could have just been my timing). They seem to have all the fancy equipment. They also send you an email to fill out all the forms online before you get there so you don’t have to sit there for an extra twenty minutes. Overall a good experience. Dr. Karamyan is an excellent dentist. I had pretty much had my father, who recently retired from dentistry do all my dental work my whole life, except one time. I turn 40 in a couple months…so it’s been a while…lol… In the one time I did have another dentist work on my teeth he made a mess. I was pleased with his professionalism and how he put me at ease right away. His office is very aesthetically relaxing. He plays ambient cool music ie: Buddha Lounge, Massive Attic… It felt more like a med spa as I starred at a breathtaking mural while he did a cleaning. My dad’s office was very office feeling like, and when your nervous, this stuff helps. He uses very current technology and explains everything going with your dental needs. I had a basic x ray, cleaning and consult as well as a zoom whitening. I feel he is very straight forward and honest, unlike many dentists. I will be coming back for sure. Very pleasant dentist.
