What a breath of fresh air! I was thrilled to learn that Dr. Seth Senestraro had taken over Dr. Roger Wooley’s practice! Dr. Senestraro is warm, kind, patient, and engaging to talk to. I’m an adult patient who is nearing the end of my Invisalign treatment, and have observed him with many different age groups. The staff is so amazing and welcoming. My kids have some anxiety about dental procedures, and they ALWAYS make them feel comfortable. They always talk through what they’re doing if the child wants them to. The outcome has been awesome too. Dr. Seth is super knowledgeable, and so are his assistants. I am very impressed with this orthodontic clinic. We are smack in the middle of the pandemic, so we were requested to just drop off our child to have braces and an expander put on for the first time. He was alone with them for 40 minutes, and he came out very well taken care of. They were great with having me try to adjust the expander at the end to make sure I understood everything. Yay!! Finally my 2 teenagers are out of braces!!! No more ortho appts visit. We really enjoyed Dr. Senestrano and his staff. We were mainly at Sherwood office but a few times went to Wilsonville as well. The offices are clean, modern with easy parking spaces. They have referrals and giveaways for patients. I got my braces on here around January 2013 as a Freshman in HighSchool. A sad Freshman who had zero confidence in her appearance due to her sharknado mouth. I mean awful, just god awful mouth full of crooked teeth. It was so bad, I can’t even begin to explain. My daughter has been seeing Dr Seth for years. She just completed her braces and is starting on a retainer. I’ve been very happy with the service we’ve received. The dental assistants have all been really nice and patient. Dr Seth has a very good demeanor with the kids and tries to engage them. My daughter looks forward to going, which is a big help for me. We had one time where she needed a fix on her braces and they brought us in on their day off and helped get her back on track. My son had a fall ice skating on a Sunday afternoon and I called him to see what he recommended I do and he said “meet at the Milwaukie office in 30 mins”. Never did I expect him to leave his family on a Sunday to come help my son. I expected to get advise to take Tylenol and to call the next day to make an appointment. I am so grateful for him taking the time because my son was in rough shape and thanks to him sacrificing his personal time my son was able to sleep that night. I’m pretty sure everyone’s dying to know why I love Senestraro Family Orthodontics – Wilsonville (which has offices outside of Wilsonville, so keep reading even if you don’t live nearby), the office that’s put #BracesOnFaces for our family four times in twenty-one months, so let me tell you. 🙂 NO DEFAULT PULLING OF TEETH – The two oldest little Ws had consults at two separate orthodontist’s offices, one of which was SFO. The other office required each of them to have two teeth pulled before getting braces put on. That procedure and expense is separate from braces and would cost several hundred dollars between the two little Ws. On the other hand, SFO thought they could get the job done without removing any teeth. I understand it’s sometimes necessary to pull teeth in order to get mouths fixed, which means some of their patients have to do it, and I’d have been fine with it as an essential procedure for my kids. I’m just thankful SFO was willing to try other options first, especially since braces have proven to be successful for those two kids with all teeth remaining intact. SUPPORTIVE OF FINANCIAL CHOICES – Although payment plans are available, our family isn’t willing to go into debt for braces. That means we save money until we have enough to pay for a set in full before any brackets go on any teeth, no matter how long it takes. The staff has always respected that decision, even though it meant waiting longer for our kids to become their patients than if we’d gone on a payment plan. I make a pie chart for each set of #BracesOnFaces that’s broken down into 5% increments and gets filled as we save up money for a particular set. Not only has the SFO staff respected our debt-free approach to financing braces, but they know about the pie charts and have shared in our excitement as slices of each one get colored in. They even suggested including each kid’s pie chart in a group picture of the newly bracketed kid, excited mom, and fantastic orthodontist each time a little W gets their braces on. AWESOME STAFF – They’re always cheerful, smiling, welcoming, and helpful. Always. Which means they choose to behave that way even when they feel sad, irritated, overwhelmed, or generally unhappy, which is bound to happen because they’re human. You could argue that’s their job, but we all know it’s a pretty incredible group of people that will consistently give excellent customer service and provide a pleasant environment for those they’re doing business with. We’ve had shifts in employment and insurance coverage since becoming SFO patients that have changed our financial situation, so they’ve walked us through the process and made sure we’re always getting the maximum amount of coverage available to us. DISCOUNTS – SFO offers a discount for paying a bill in full at the time of service. They also offer a family discount for the second and subsequent family members who get their orthodontic work done at SFO. I know those discounts are common, but I also know from personal experience that they aren’t universal. As one who likes to stretch a dollar, I appreciate the chance to save some money. INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY – Although this isn’t something my family has personally benefited from, I love to see how SFO serves the communities their patients come from by sponsoring school events, providing lunch to teachers, and offering free mouthguards to athletes. Why am I telling you all of this? There’s no contest. No prize. No ulterior motive. I just think Senestraro Family Orthodontics is awesome. With four sets of braces in less than two years, I’ve had plenty of time and opportunities to get over that feeling, but they never let us down. Instead, my appreciation for them solidifies more and more as time passes. They have offices at the coast (Tillamook) and around the Portland metro area (Sherwood, Wilsonville, Woodstock), so give whichever office is most convenient to you a call and schedule a free consult if anyone in your home is considering orthodontia. That's why our amazing team always places the care of our patients first. Above all else Dr. Seth treats all our patients as if they were his own family. The enthusiasm and expertise for the art and science of orthodontics is apparent when you meet him in person. Growing up along California's scenic northern coast, Dr. Seth Senestraro's childhood was spent playing and working on the family farm. Wanting to stay close to home, Dr. Seth attended Humboldt State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Advancing further in his studies, Dr. Seth received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of the Pacific Dental School with honors in 2010. Shortly after graduating, Dr. Seth began his Orthodontic Residency at OHSU where he completed his advanced education in dentofacial orthopedics and orthodontics. As a proponent of continuing education, Dr. Seth actively engages in staying current with the latest advances in orthodontic care. Dr. Seth spends countless hours every year to ensure you receive state of the art orthodontic treatment. Some notable subjects include: Completion of Invisalign Masters Course, Phase I expansion treatment to address airway deficiency in children, and CBCT 3D x-ray digital training. Importantly, Dr. Seth is a Board Certified Orthodontist, a distinction held by less than half of orthodontists. Dr. Seth's studies led to a recently published featured article in the Journal of The American Dental Association on the treatment of white spot lesions after orthodontics. Senestraro, Seth V., et al. "Minimally invasive resin infiltration of arrested white-spot lesions A randomized clinical trial." The Journal of the American Dental Association 144.9 (2013): 997-1005. Struck by love at a young age, Dr. Seth happily married his middle school crush, Brandy. Seth and Brandy usually have their hands full raising three rambunctious boys, including identical twins! When away from his practice, Dr. Seth enjoys spending time outdoors with his family camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and snowboarding. Dr. Seth particularly enjoys coaching various youth sports in the community!
