I saw this office while driving by and stopped to see if they were taking new patients. I was surprised to find out that they were a new office and of course yes they were. I was able to make an appointment easily and my visit was great! The doctor was very nice, the staff helpful and all in all it was a very comfortable visit. Definitely takes the stress out of going to the dentist.

Friendly, professional and attentive to the patient’s needs. After a long absence from dental work because of previous negative experiences, I found Riverpoint to be gentle, patient and supportive. I had a lot of dental work done this year because it was a long time since going to a dentist, but thanks to Riverpoint doctors and assistants I overcame my fear and received high quality care and treatment. I had a cleaning scheduled on Halloween and I knew that the staff all dress up for Halloween so I came in dressed as “Kung Fu Man.”

Got the opportunity to have my clean done by the hygienist, Shaundra and she was dope! Made sure I wasn’t in any pain the entire time and went through thoroughly of the process that we’d be looking into after my cleaning. The receptionist Kyra was dope too. She was very helpful and gave me a quote and ran me through my insurance while I was there on spot. Super friendly environment with awesome people! Whoever reading this, give everybody in here a raise because they top 5 with it!

Dr. Newsome applies a gentle touch from “the shot”, if needed, to the finishing touches with each procedure. And, for a variety of reasons, I have needed a lot. I have insurance with limited coverage, and, cannot always afford the ideal treatment. In these cases, Dr. Newsome had provided services that serve to allow me a healthy mouth and a smile I am not afraid to flash. This Places rocks!. Very clean and welcoming Shy was so sweet when I called to get my next appointment. being i was undecided to get a crown. Came home and though about it.I am not looking forward to this at all. I have have some BAD experience. But Dr. BOYD was very a patient, kind and explained things to me. I am going to go through the crown here soon. My hygienist was Hannah. She was kind and gentle. I am sure if they will take good care of me! I will see them next year.

I called this dentist looking for a new dentist. I have insurance and wanted to make sure they accepted my insurance before going in. When I called they assured me that they did take my insurance so I scheduled an appointment only to have some dental work that I didn’t not go in for and to make matters worse I called my insurance to see why I had to pay a partial amount and they told me that river point did not take my insurance so it was an out of network cost. I immediately called river point only to hear them apologize that they made a mistake but no offer to fix it in anyway. Good thing I doubled check before going in again for an extra. Update Dr B called me back and made numerous attempts to contact me. He apologize and offered a refund. You can tell he really does care about his patients. 1.0 star rating2/20/2018 Previous review

I came to Riverpoint Family Dentistry for a consult and was extremely impressed with Dr. B and the whole staff. From the prompt response after initial inquiry on-line, to the pleasant tone over the phone with reception, these ladies understand what Reception (receive) means. Their welcoming demeanor when I walked in was refreshing. His assistant was friendly and genuine (dont you love it when people are organic and friendly?) BUT THEN! Dr. B walked in and I felt like a teenager. His handsome face was a surprise (I read his bio but pictures don’t fully portray). ANYWAY, I got past the handsome face to concentrate on what he was sharing with me about my concerns, and that is where the magic really happened. I am self conscious of my teeth, and he was completely non judgemental and put me at ease. We discussed my options and I am excited to say my future with them looks bright and soon, so will my smile!

I have been nothing but pleased with the professionalism and true care from Dr B and his staff. They are always accommodating to my schedule needs and provide the highest of care. It was hard for me to find a new dentist after moving from my dentist of over 20 years. Now that I have been with Dr B for over 2 I can see myself here for the next 20. I recommend this practice highly. They are truly community, family and caring!

I am a fairly new patient at Riverpoint Family Dentistry, and because I have had two recent, major tooth issues that brought me to the dentists, I have come to know the practice quite well. Within a span of 4 weeks, Dr Newsome and his staff expertly crowned two of my teeth; one of them an implant crown. I have been very impressed with the professionalism, skill, and friendliness of the entire staff. I highly recommend this dental practice.

I was dreading going to the dentist today, as I usually do. I got in quick and the facility was very clean and prepared for COVID19. Regular cleanings usually seem like they take forever and are incredibly painful but today it was wonderful. I wish I knew the name of the girl who cleaned my teeth but she did a GREAT job and I left not feeling like I just got attacked. Thank y’all! Definitely the best teeth cleaning experience in all my 24 years.

Riverpoint was the only cosmetic dentistry office that was willing to listen to what I wanted without trying to upsale me on procedures that I didn’t want or wouldn’t help. I have had extremely crooked teeth for most of my life and after 4 visits I have a straight smile that I’m no longer embarrassed to show. Also everyone in the office was very friendly and accommodating.

Riverpoint Dental is the best dental practice I’ve ever seen. Everyone is lovely and professional. The best customer service I’ve ever seen. I just got home from dealing with a crown. Dr. Newsome is very professional, nice, comforting and efficient. Before I knew it, the crown work was completed and I was sent home. The dental professional who worked with Dr. Newsome, Christina, is very patient and nice. She listens and cares about patients. In case you are looking for a dental practice where you feel safe, secure and comfortable, Riverpoint Dental is the place for you. By the by, they go the extra mile in the war against COVID-19. Their measures to keep their practice safe from virus spread are ideal.

On Monday afternoon, right after work I got a toothache on my way home. Came on all of a sudden! When I got home I mentioned it to my wife. She said I should call our dentist and see if he if I could get an appointment for the next day! It was after 6:pm and I thought he would be closing soon and As he already had patients in the office I asked about an appointment the next afternoon. He said come on in now! I got there around 6:30 and he made the time to check me out. Turns out I had an abscess along with a cavity. He took the time to get X-Ray’s, evaluate the images and recommend treatment! Tooth extraction was necessary. Dr.B made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The whole process took about 20 minutes (time for the Novocain to work!) he extracted the tooth, made sure I was alright and gave me a prescription and instructions to prevent dry socket. I got the prescription filled, took a pill and went to bed! The next morning I woke up with NO Pain whatsoever! I have Never had a tooth extraction with no discomfort the next day! I would highly recommend you give Riverpoint Dental a try! If I could give them more than 5 Stars I would!

From the moment you walked in the door at Riverpoint family dentistry you immediately feel a sense of professionalism. The staff is not only friendly but are extremely knowledgeable about your planned visit and/or helpful planning your future visits or just answering questions. The offices are extremely clean and provide a comfortable and calming atmosphere. Excellent care by the technicians and hygienists are only surpassed by the work of your dentist. Easy to talk with, to ask questions of and provide care with little or no discomfort. We are new patients and could not be happier with our choice.

I had been with the same dentist for 35+ years, prior to that I was treated by the father of the same dentist (as a young child). The decision to leave was difficult, however the customer service in the front office declined & it was no longer a pleasant visit to the dentist. I enjoy going to the dentist because of my previous experience, which I am very grateful. Costumer service is a priority to me. Riverpoint was great this the service from the beginning to the end. Today was my first visit to Riverpoint and it certainly won’t be the last. I received a text to confirm the appointment two days prior to the appointment. I called that same evening. It was a pleasure speaking with that staff member. She asked me if it would be alright to answer some health assessment questions. I said certainly. Their office was protecting their patients and I certainly appreciated that. I know what it is like to be just a patient that comes and goes. I can’t wait till I go back in July. Todays visit was for a prophylaxis with Hannah , my hygienist. She was outstanding. Throughout the entire time that I was there, she asked me if I was alright and if there was anything she could do to make my visit more comfortable. I met Boyd today also. He too asked me why I chose Riverpoint. I told him that I just had a wonderful feeling about their office. I was not wrong. After Hannah completed taking the radiographs, Boyd came into the room and we spoke. He did not rush his examination. It will be my pleasure to recommend Riverpoint to anyone that i think is appropriate. Boyd, congratulations on having an office with staff that are there for the patient! As a busy working Mom it is hard to work in appointments for your children. Riverpoint Family Dental has early morning and evening appointments to help accommodate to get my family in. I trust the dentists and feel confident with the care they provide for my family. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The office is nice and clean and they have an amazing view of the Sandia Mountains. If you are looking for a great dental office, I highly recommend coming here.

I’ve been an avid protestor of going to the dentist. I mean, I rarely floss. First world anarchy, right? But sometimes, I cave in, and I go… but this office will have me coming back. I was tended to by Shaundra, the hygienist, who was very accommodating and great at her job. I mean, her job is to use sharp tools to get the plaque off your teeth, which can hurt mind you, but can be done correctly with minimal pain. She definitely took care of me, was constantly asking if I was good, and was sympathetic when inducing what little pain there was. In past dental experiences, most hygienists will try to get you out in one cleaning. That means, taking whatever steps necessary, as painful as they may be, to get all the plaque off your teeth and gums. Shaundra, however, knew that I probably wouldn’t be able to handle all the pain in one go, but instead insisted that I go home, floss as much as possible, and come back for a second cleaning 2 weeks later. Let me preface by saying that she made sure my insurance would cover me before making such a decision. Honestly, this kind of problem-solving and decision making is key to any client’s well-being. I’m very glad that she decided to split my cleaning into two different sessions. Thank you to RFD and their staff. I will be returning with referrals.

If you are looking for a great dental office look no farther. Just can’t find the right words to express how outstanding this dentists office is. My husband was in some pain after getting home from work on Monday. So I told him to call Doctor Newsome to see if he could get a appointment on Tuesday evening (they are open till 7:30pm on some days). They told him if he didn’t mind waiting they could fit him in on Monday night. They squeezed him in and was courteous professional kind and gentle as they had to pull one of his teeth. Doctor Newsome took the time to really take care not to Cause any pain. And told us if there was any issues with bleeding or pain to call the office no matter the time. Wow they care so very much about there Clients. We will never go anywhere Else for Care! you just can’t get this kind of care from any dentist!

After finding Riverpoint Dentistry online, I called around 3PM on a Monday to make an appointment for a cleaning. They got me in Tuesday(the next day!)with no hassle. The Hygienist, Jan, did my cleaning & was very friendly & thorough in making sure I was comfortable the whole time. All of the staff listen to any concerns that you have and give their professional opinion. They don’t try & push you into any extra or expensive work. The employees also explain everything to you that they see & show you all of your images as well. Ophelia & the dentist (I forgot her name), took time to listen to my concerns & gave me the options that would work for me, they didn’t try to oversell anything. I will definitely be a returning patient & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Riverpoint Dentistry to anyone. They are thorough, helpful, prompt and most of all, the entire staff from the front office to the back had a great customer service ethic.

I went to Riverpoint based off of the reviews here on Google, and I was not disappointed. The staff and doctors make you feel welcome and provide wonderful care. My procedure was extensive and I always felt like I was receiving the best care possible. Even when there was a minor hiccup in my treatment, I received a call from the doctor directly and felt like my concerns were well heard and very quickly addressed. I would also like to thank all the ladies that work in the front office. No matter if I am there in person or calling with questions, they are always very professional and kind. I don’t know that I “look forward” to future dental procedures…who does??? But I do know I will be going to Riverpoint.

From beginning to end(a filling) each and member of their team was kind courteous and helpful. Making my appointment and then changing it went smoothly and availabilities were not months out. Tech was sympathetic to my anxiety and listened carefully. The dentist was friendly and answered questions and was very honest with his answers. Beautiful office setting and a view during my procedure. They even managed to fit me in for a filling right after my cleaning….so no stress waiting for another appointment. Great all around experience….
