Nobody likes going to the dentist but the staff and doctor are very welcoming and try very hard to make you feel comfortable there. After getting some work done the doctor called me that night to check on me and then gave me her cellphone number if I had any issues to call her that is awesome. The staff is always nice and try to explain everything including costs. I have Never waiting more than 5 mins to be seen they schedule very well even with a last minute call. If your looking for a great dentist and staff this is the place.

My husband and I are new to the area. Trying to find a good dentist is always a challenge. We chose the Deerwood Dental Group after reading many Yelp reviews. One of the reasons we chose Dr. Amy McMahan, DDS is that she focuses on teeth only, so there are no beauty treatments which have little or nothing to do with teeth. Everyone at the office is professional and pleasant. What impresses my husband and I the most is the level of care provided by a hygienist named Sarah. We are a middle age couple so we have encountered many hygienists over the decades. Sarah is by far THE BEST hygienist we ever experienced. She is incredibly thorough and takes her time getting into every nook and cranny while explaining any issues she discovers and how best to remedy them. Her genuine care for our health is greatly appreciated!

I have been going to Dr. McMahan since she opened this practice. The hygienist is very thorough and friendly. She gives me lots of good tips to keep my teeth healthy. Dr. McMahan is awesome. She doesn’t oversell and provides excellent service. I highly recommend this dental practice.

While I am partial as I have been coming to Deerwood Dental for some time, Ms. Amy and her team always do an incredible job, especially now with the COVID issues. Clean, socially distanced in the waiting rooms, everyone has the appropriate PPE including the patients, areas cleaned after every patient and appropriate protocol and procedures put in place!! Well done team…thank you!

Deerwood Dental by far exceeded my expectations. I chipped my tooth one evening so the next morning, being new to the area, actually looked through google reviews and found them. I called at 9:15am and they actually squeezed me in for a 10:15 appointment, where not only did Dr. McMahon look at my tooth, but she fixed it right then and there! Her assistant was also amazing and they took such good care of me!! They even brought me a soft comfy blanket to keep me warm and (since I’m very anxious at the dentist office) calm. Everyone was SO sweet, including Gail at reception, who was so kind to me from the second I called until the moment I left. What reminded me to write this review for them was the handwritten note I just received thanking me for choosing them as my new dentist office! We aren’t talking printed card that was signed by someone.. we are talking a fully handwritten card from top to bottom. I would highly reccomend Dr. McMahon and her team without hesitation or reservation. They are absolutely amazing.

I’ve been cared for by Dr McMahan and, before that, Dr. Edwards, since 1995. I have always trusted their skills and judgment, and relied on regular cleanings and check-ups to keep my teeth and gums as healthy as possible. I always get the same familiar hygienist for cleanings. It’s a very family-like atmosphere that makes me comfortable.

My Dentist moved and had 2 friends highly recommend using Dr. McMahan. I broke a tooth and when I called Deerwood Dental Group they got me in the next morning at 9:30am. Dr. McMahan was the first Dentist and technicians that walked me through everything before it happened. It was the first Dental Office I had been to that created their own Crowns. I went in at 9:30 am on time and walked out at Noon totally through with my new crown on and not have to be bothered with a temporary crown. I am not a fan of going to the Dentist office but knowing what was going to happen and that everything would be done in one visit sure helped the nerves. Needless to say I have a new Dentist.

I am so grateful that I found this dentist. I was more than a little dental-phobic when I went into their office for the first time more than a year ago. They helped me game plan a treatment plan that wasn’t overwhelming and would accomplish my goals. They explain each procedure and tech-y bit that they are using (ever seen a 3-D printer make your root canal cap right in front of your eyes???) and make the process interesting and less scary. Their entire staff is extremely educated, professional and considerate, even teaming up to help make x-rays go quicker when we had to do a bunch of pictures and I couldn’t hold the mouthpiece effectively anymore. This team, from the doctor and the dental hygenist to all the techs and support staff, is just fantastic

I had the best experience here. I am one for avoiding denist appointments at all cost but was amazed how all of these young ladies took great care if me. Right from the x-ray tech to Dr. Amy and ending with the hygienist. They made my visit as painless as ever. I def recommend Deerwood Dental to no other. Thanks ladies and will see you in another month Sincerely Jim
