I have been coming to Alexandria Dental Smiles since it’s inception.  I continue to receive services because of the professionalism and integrity I have always received. I look forward to bringing my one-year-old son, as this practice is dear to me.  All staff on board is courteous and detail-oriented.  I would never go anywhere else!

The office was very clean, organized, sanitized and freshly smelling, the Dentists and receptionists were very polite friendly and helpful, everything was explained to me, and All concerns and questions answered, I really felt comfortable for the first time and pleased to be at a dentist office, I expressed appreciation and gratitude for their services, and work done, and I would recommend anyone there as well as myself again, thanks Alexandria Dental Smiles and Team.

We are new to the area and found Alexandria Dental Smiles. It was very easy to make an appointment, and their communication was spot on. They send paperwork ahead of time and the appropriate number of reminders. The gentlemen who answer their phones and do intake are professional and helpful. The Dr. is kind and professional, as well, and takes the time to address questions and concerns. Glad to have a competent dentist we can use for years to come!

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Lopez!! Everyone from the front desk to all of the dental assistants I have dealt with so far have been awesome! They are all very friendly, patient and understanding. I have a great deal of anxiety when it comes to the dentist and Dr. Lopez made me feel at ease right away. She thoroughly explained my treatment plan to me and how things would work with my dental insurance. She has the most soothing voice which helped with my anxiety during my first visit. She even held my hand on my last visit with the oral surgeon because I was anxious about having a tooth removed. I have recommended her to several of my co-workers and friends. I highly recommend her to anyone who has anxiety like myself!

I’ve been a patient to Alexandria Dental Smiles since it first opened several years ago. We were overjoyed that we finally found a family dentist. All of my family sees Dr. Lopez and we are grateful to have such a kind, honest, passionate doctor. Not to mention a welcoming staff who are just as kind and friendly as our doctor. My husband and son (age 11), who both weren’t sure about dentistry in general, immediately fell in love with Dr. Lopez. She has the ability to calm your nerves, extremely gentle personality, and takes the time to explain everything during your visit. I had couple of fillings and extraction done here. They offered me the laughing gas which made the treatment relaxing. Everyone was so nice. Price for the work was very affordable. I am so glad I have found such a nice office where they get to know you as a person. I highly recommend !

Dr. Lopez is very professional with her work. From the moment you walk in and are greeting by front office manager Jesse you automatically feel welcomed. You are asked to sign in and in a matter of minutes called in. I would recommend all to come and give them a try. Very children friendly. The reviews so far speak for themselves.

When I went to my appointment I wasn’t even aware of the time that had gone by (which wasn’t that much honestly since it was my first visit). I took someone with me and she told me that she didn’t feel the time go by either. I highly recommend her to people. I’ve already told 3-4 people about her and they can’t wait for their appointment with her. I’m telling you, she is amazing.

The reviews here on Yelp convinced me to make an appointment with Dr. Butler. Then the COVID-19 hit, sent us into isolation, and placed dentists and hygienists at risk. Our first appointment was canceled and rescheduled. I had fully expected our rescheduled appointment to be canceled as well. I was prepared for it. So I was surprised when the office called and told me that while Dr. Butler was not available, Dr. Lopez was, but could we come an hour later than scheduled? I have waited too long to see a dentist in Virginia, so OK, yes. First, the building has restricted access. You have to be buzzed in. Next, the reception staff is appropriately shielded, hand sanitizer available at every opening, minimal contact, all staff appropriately masked. No magazines or extraneous virus hiding places. We’re good! Dr. Lopez and her hygienist masked with face shields. Good! All equipment and surfaces covered. They are taking their and your health seriously. Thank you! Radiographs taken rather than painful, invasive x-rays. My teeth examined, explanation of my problems, treatment explained, teeth cleaned and on my way. I received a print out explanation of what treatment I would need in the future with a full schedule of what I would need to pay and what my insurance would pay – no surprise bills. I made the appointment immediately. Yes, I would recommend this office to anyone. They could have been closed during this time – they took all the appropriate precautions and still did a fantastic job.

Dr. Lopez is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of oral health. My four year old son teeth are the picture of health because he’s been her patient since he was six months old. She educated me on proper mouth hygiene for myself and my son. I referred my sister and she’s so happy with Dr. Lopez, she was struggling to find a dentist and now she has a confident smile. I had a scary dental emergency where three of my molars where infected and needed immediate removal. Dr. Lopez took care of me right away and I was able to return to work sooner than I expected. I saw three Dentists in Alexandria area and finally, I found the perfect one. Alexandria Dental Smiles is awesome from the time I walked in greeted by Jesse. He is amazing, he does beyond his duty to help patient. Excellent customer service. Dr. Lopez is superb on her work. I usually get tense seeing Dentist but with her, I felt comfortable.

My family and I went to see Dr.Lopez at her practice. Her office is clean and the staff are extremely friendly. She was really patient with my kids and they like her very much. The office has lots of activities for children. Dr. Lopez did a great job with our cleaning and even had massaging seats to keep us comfortable. We all look forward to our next cleaning.

This is the first dental office where I felt so comfortable with everyone. From the front to the back, everybody is always smiling and happy. The office is modern and very clean. The doctors are knowledgeable and make you feel that they really care. I love my Invisalign results and I look forward to seeing my results after ZOOM whitening.

This was my first visit and it was awesome. My Grandaughter 7 years old) was very much afraid and nervous. Her pain tolerance is low. The doctor recognized it right away and took her time to explain everything she was going to do with granddaughter before she did it. The appointment went very well.

Came in today for dr Butler to finish installing a crown and have two of my teeth filled. All the procedures were done with extreme care and gentle. She and ALL of her staffs were friendly, professional and amazing. They gave me all the respects, up front honesty and not over charged for all of the services. I highly trusted and recommend this dental office to anyone who’s in search for any dental services.

I am very terrified of the dentist. I will admit I have neglected my teeth for way too long. l went to Alexandria Dental Smiles based on the reviews online and the reviews do not lie !! Everyone was so pleasant starting from Jesse in the front (good person to have represent their office), he was very personable. The assistant was awesome, she was so sweet and comforted me making me feel at ease. Then I got to meet Dr. Lopez and her staff is a representation of how Amazing she is. She has such a comforting voice that just makes you feel like “everything is going to be ok”. She was very thorough in her diagnosing and explaining to me what I needed to have done to my teeth. She took her time to answer all of my questions and actually listened to me. She was not in a rush to get me out of the chair and I really felt so comfortable with her. Dr. Lopez and staff are amazing! The office is really modern with all these extras like Tv’s in the patient rooms and back massaging chairs. I didn’t realize how great those were until I experienced them. The extra amenities definitely help relax you and keep your mind off things. & Dr. Lopez is very knowledgeable, thorough, and has a gentle touch. I absolutely hate needles and when she did some cavity work on me she walked me through it in a very calming way. Would definitely recommend this practice to others. We’re very lucky to have such a high quality, modern, dentist practice in our area. & I’ve never seen Dr. Butler, but my husband does and seems really pleased with her as well.

Dr. Katie is the absolute best!! I had some traumatizing experiences at the dentist as a kid so I was terrified to go back after not going for about 6 years. I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed after meeting her. She understood my situation and made the first visit as quick and easy as possible. My husband and I have been seeing her for 2 years now and we are very happy. The service there is top notch. Haven’t had to wait more than 5 minutes for an appointment. My treatment plan was broken down step by step and explained thoroughly. I was given the price that I would need to pay and how much our insurance was covering before any procedure was started. Scheduling is a breeze, thanks to Jesse. I highly recommend her to anyone that is searching for a new dentist. I was looking for a dentist for my lil girl in my area , but it wasn’t just for a visit but rather to join a family of caring dental fairies who made my lil girl who for the first time of dental visit to be very comfortable and relaxing. I personally think even if you are far from them, you better make that trip over because it’s worth it.

Outstanding! Both times I have gone in to see Dr. Lopez have been have been under favorable conditions. First time I went in to get a cleaning, and the second time to take care of like 5 cavities I had.You know your dentist is pretty damn good when you almost fall asleep while they’re drilling cavities out of your teeth and filling them back in!! My five year old son and I love Dr. Lopez. She’s an outstanding dentist and her dental office staff are extremely professional. I recommend Dr. Lopez to all my friends, family, coworkers and anyone looking for excellent dental care. I’ve had a dental emergency in the past, my wisdom teeth where infected and I could’ve died from this infection but thankfully, Dr. Lopez and her staff booked me an emergency appointment and I was back to work the next day. BEST Experience at the dental office. Everyone was so professional and had a smile on their face. The office is super clean and modern. I got to meet both female Drs who are genuinely caring and not there to sell you any unnecessary treatment. The massage chairs are a PLUS after a long day at work. This is one of only two dentists I’ve seen my whole life that is this kind, knowledgeable, skilled and non-judgmental. Staff are all super kind, and dental staff are gentle and patient. I’m usually an anxious wreck going to the dentist due to past issues but here I actually know things will be pain free and I will be listened to so I no longer need anxiety meds or laughing gas to get through an appointment. I’ve even had root canals with no issues or pain here!

A couple years ago, I slipped on ice, fell on my face, and cracked a few teeth. Dr. Lopez and the team at Alexandria Dental Smiles have provided me with such exceptional service (root canals, dental crowns) that I’ve almost entirely forgotten about my traumatic experience. This dental office is clean and professional, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Dr Lopez is kind, compassionate and extremely professional. She has been very diligent in ensuring my care and treating my specific oral needs. The highlight of my time in her care occured last week when I went for a restoration analysis, Dr Lopez is the first dentist ive worked with to advise me AGAINST caps and crowns. Everyone prior saw the dollar signs and suggested doing the work whereas Dr Lopez talked me through the positive and negative effects of capping and crowning. She talked me through the process and told me her recommendations were based on what she would do if working on her own family. I respect her honesty and integrity and because of that I feel safe and comfortable in her care.
