Dr. Jacques and LaSandra are amazing! I’m not someone who loves their annual teeth cleaning but I just had my first appointment at Capitol Family Dentistry and they were fantastic! LaSandra went above and beyond to help me with my insurance and was super kind! Dr. Jacques did the cleaning himself and was super nice, and easy to feel comfortable with. The cleaning was great and my teeth feel like a million bucks! I definitely recommend Capitol Family Dentistry!

Capitol Family Dentistry is everything you could ask for from a dental experience and more! We came on a family visit and needed dental attention immediately. I am beyond grateful that I went to Capitol Family Dentistry. They were friendly, professional, and well priced. Also, even though it was a last minute appointment, they kept their word about seeing me at the scheduled time! They establish genuine connections with their patients and really care about you. I have been a patient of Dr. Jacques for more than a year. Happy with his work – he is very thorough, gentle, and highly skilled. He comes from a family of dentists, so he is very deep into the profession. I like his professional attitude, he always explains what and how needs to be done, and he does not induce unnecessary services. If you are looking for THE BEST dentist in Capitol Hill area, or even the DMV area, look no further, you have found Dr. Jacques. He is very patient, knowledgeable, caring and extremely thorough, he takes the time to make sure every single tooth is examined, cleaned, and ready for food challenges. I’ve done cleaning with many dentists in town, Dr. Jacques has been the only one who spent an entire hour on cleaning, and he does that himself. I’m very thankful to Dr. Jacques and his advice and his skillful approach to address my case. My sincere recommendation and reference to all of you, if have any dental problem.

Dr. Jacques and LaSandra are awesome! LaSandra went above and beyond to help me figure out my insurance situation and accommodate my crazy schedule to get an appointment. They were both so friendly greeting me for my early morning appointment, which actually started on time unlike most providers in the DC area. I really enjoy the small business feel and personal service. Dr. Jacques does the cleaning himself, which means there’s no 15-minute wait between the cleaning and actually seeing the dentist. It was the first dental experience I’ve had in years where the office didn’t try to sell me anything extra. Their location is super convenient and the office is clean and welcoming. Can’t ask for anything more!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Jacques this morning after recently moving to the Hill. I was overdue for a cleaning (after a weird experience at my last dentist) and my appointment was for a 6-month cleaning. I had the best experience. First, upon arrival I was greeted by both Dr. Jacques and LaSandra, and waited less than 5 minutes before LaSandra took me back to get me ready for my cleaning. She was incredibly professional and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Jacques came back a moment later and began the cleaning. He explained a few things that I needed to pay attention to and was very clear and thorough. And, perhaps, my favorite part was how gentle the cleaning was. I felt as if he was taking his time and also did not have any pain. Thank you, Dr. Jacques! He spoke to me about toothbrushes as I needed a recommendation and I was able to purchase two from him as well. I was checked out with ease and also scheduled my next appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Jacques and I look forward to my next appointment, which I have never said about a dentist! 🙂

What a fantastic experience, staff, and practice! So happy to have found this dentistry team here on the Hill. I just became a permanent resident and needed to find a dentist for a route check-up. My experience was really wonderful. LaSandra and Dr. Jacques were welcoming when I walked in and immediately took me back. Arranging an appointment and taking care of paperwork was easy to do via email beforehand. They both made me feel comfortable and like I had been a patient for years. LaSandra took my X-rays and we chatted for a bit before my cleaning. Then Dr. Jacques took over discussing my X-rays and with the cleaning. I never felt rushed or hurried. They were both so professional and personable, asking about my work and life. The cleaning was simple and straightforward, with good recommendations. Dr. Jacques was knowledgeable and gentle when working on my teeth. Checking out and booking my next appointment was simple, too. I’m so glad to have found this practice and this team. I highly recommend Capitol Family Dentistry and have already told friends about it!

I admit I didn’t do a ton of research in the area once I saw Capitol Family Dentistry accepted my insurance on their web page. Dr. Tyler Jacques was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable however. It is a small shop, so don’t expect all the bells and whistles if you are used to that. They are convenient and friendly once you get in the door. Perfect option if you are looking for a local spot to have regular cleanings and exams.

Dr. Jacques was awesome – friendly, quick, and informative. The administrative staff were incredible amazing as well. Every time I called (even to let them know I had to switch providers) they were a pleasure to work with. I’m bummed I can’t stay with them!

During this crazy time of COVID, going to get my teeth cleaned at the Capitol Family Dentistry was a breeze. Dr. Jacques and LaSandra were both excellent and friendly and adhered to all CDC guidelines to cut back on any potential COVID exposure. They also reached out to me before hand to tell me my (thankfully small) copay, which I love! Will continue to go here to get my teeth clean. Would 100% recommend for a pain free, friendly teeth cleaning with excellent patient service.

I highly recommend Capitol Family Dentistry! Dr. Jacques was very personable, detailed, and thorough. I felt I was in very good hands. I also must rave about LaSandra, who is very easy to communicate with via phone or email. She helped me resolve some insurance issues and went out of her way to help me find a periodontist in the area that took my insurance. I’m very thrilled to have found this office in DC.

I have been searching for the perfect dentist in D.C. for 3 years and, after 4 different dentists, finally found the right fit. Dr. Jacques is warm, welcoming, and thorough. He takes the time to listen to concerns and to get to know his patients. He is also extremely efficient and gentle. I made an appointment for my husband and will be recommending him to friends and colleagues for sure.

I’ve lived in the area for 6 years and I’ve never gone back to the same dentist office twice. I can’t stand when dentists spend the whole cleaning appointment selling me stuff I don’t really need. Not only was Dr. Jacques office efficient, clean, and welcoming, but for the first time in a while it didn’t feel like I was there for a sales pitch! I will certainly be back and highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist!!

The service I received at this practice was outstanding! When I called, I got a human person immediately and I was able to schedule an appointment about two weeks out, which was perfect. There was no wait, all of my interactions were pleasant and professional, and there was no shaming or blaming about my flossing habits. LaShonda fills many roles admirably. Dr. Jacques has a very light, gentle touch, and my cleaning was painless and efficient. This practice had, by far, the best reviews of all the practices I looked at, and I’m glad I chose it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a dentist in DC. My only recommendation to the business would be to update the forms so they are more gender inclusive, less dated, easier to read, and can be completed and submitted electronically with ease. Other than that, everything was top notch.

I’ve seen Dr. Jacques twice now, both times this past fall. The first was my routine cleaning. Dr. Jacques was very friendly and personable and made the appointment very pleasant. His assistant was also very nice. The office is located on a great block and it was easy to get to via metro for me. I went back to see Dr. Jacques when a tooth was hurting and he fit me in right away and was able to diagnose my issue and fix it. I really recommend this dental office, I plan to bring my toddler soon for his first checkup!
