We did several ortho consults before finding Dr. Grinbaum. I am so glad we did! She is incredibly professional, attentive, explains everything. Both of my daughters are happy to go see her, even the one who is usually jittery in the dentist chair. Her team is prompt, efficient and incredibly warm and patient. She also happened to be reasonably priced, especially given the convenient location.

I had crooked teeth and over bite issues. I looked up Dr. Karin Grinbaum on google and visited her. She was very warm, friendly, knowledgable and helpful. She suggested me Incognito braces for my case and I took coupla weeks to think it over and went back to her and got them. I read online reviews on incognito and a lot of people said it was extremely painful that they had to get them off. Dr. Grinbaum warned me there would be some pain and it will take few weeks to get adjusted and accustomed to them. Honestly it wasn’t very painful. Yes, it took sometime to get adjusted but it was never unbearable. Anytime I had issues with the wires poking or anything, I could get an appointment immediately and Dr. had adjusted them. Her warm & friendly smile took my fear away and I hardly felt any pain. She was there anytime I needed any help. Once I ate chestnuts and broke a brace and I immediately got an appointment and got it fixed. I got my braces off couple of months ago and my teeth are perfect, my smile looks great. Their office is very clean, staff are very friendly and courteous, Dr. Grinbaum is very sweet and knowledgable. Her assistant Julia is very nice too. And I loved Shannon at the front desk who is not working there anymore. The new lady at the front desk, Stephanie is super nice too. If you are looking for a good dentist who can perfect your teeth, I strongly suggest Dr. Karin Grinbaum. Five stars to her.

I recently visited the office for an invisalign consultation. I must say I was beyond impressed. The office is beautiful and Dr Grinbaum was very knowledgeable and friendly. I have been to a few other consultations and the pricing was much higher and the orthodontists were not as friendly or helpful in making a decision. We discussed the benefits of Invisalign vs another option called Internal Lingual Braces. This is something that no other Orthodontist had even offered to me in any of my visits. I decided on invasalign based on the work I needed but both options seem like the perfect solution for anyone considering braces at a later age. I highly reccomend a visit to this office.

I’m not a “yelper” but this one worth it. I heard about Dr. Karin Grinbaum through my dentist. All my life I had crowded teeth, never smiled in pics, very insecure about them. I did my research and Dr. Grinbaum was my second opinion. I’ve met her for a FREE consultation and immediately I fell in love. She was patient, informative, and so gentle. She gave me 3 options (other places only gave me 1 option) and explained the process, the costs and the end result. Even was straight and honest when I asked for her personal opinion. Front desk provided me with 3 different super easy payment plans. In a month a half I had the newest braces on. They were in the back of my teeth. I work in the service industry and I talk a lot to client so I didn’t want them to notice. Throughout the process I went to visit once every 4-6 weeks. I met KELLY and she is so incredible as well. Every question or concern that I had during the process the whole place was right by my side to guide me and to assist me. In only 10 months I have straight teeth. Dr. Grinbaum took such a good care of me! She gave me permanent retainers and a regular once as well. IM SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS! ! ! I have confident, my work is better, my smile is better and I’m so grateful for every little thing they did for me.

I recently completed Incognito treatment, which is a big commitment, but I am so glad that I chose Dr. Grinbaum for this. She explained everything up front so I knew what to expect. I am amazed and impressed with the staff at Grinbaum’s office. I was desperately trying to find a suitable orthodontist last year because I stupidly ordered smile direct club and my smile did not improve one bit. The initial consultation was quick and informative. Being able to pay monthly really helped me and that is what I really needed. The cost is affordable and reasonable and the customer service is awesome! I never had braces when I was younger because I was told I had to break my jaw to fix my cross bite/under bite. Dr.Grinbaum only had one tooth removed and moved my teeth so quickly. After a few months, I no longer had an underbite. I ended up moving to California in the middle of my treatment, but did not want to change orthodontists. My treatment was done in FOURTEEN months. I am baffled and so happy. They really worked with me to get things done fast since I always fly in every 6-8 weeks. The staff and Dr.Grinbaum are the best. I highly recommend

Fantastic! Everyone is so nice in the office–Dr. Grinbaum’s secretary was very kind to me even though I was a few minutes late because of train delays. Dr. Grinbaum was friendly and answered all of my questions. I’ve just moved away from my main orthodontist in Buffalo, and Dr. Grinbaum was kind enough to tighten my retainer and give me plenty of retainer cleaner. Having braces in my later years was something I found appealing. I went for several opinions. One doctor wanted to pull some teeth- including a canine tooth. I found out later that you should NEVER pull a canine. When I met Dr. Karin Grinbam I knew immediately she was the orthodontist for me. The office is state of the art and very relaxed. The staff is young and very professional yet personal. And Dr. Grinbaum put all my anxiety to rest. She is amazing! Very on target with what would be happening as time went on. She is ver relaxed and personable. I feel so comfortable with her. I highly recommend this practice. She is extremely honest and accommodating. I highly recommend this office, in fact I have already to 2 other co workers. I was referred here by a friend and I am extremely happy, I was in market for some time and I’m big on chemistry especially my doctors. I’m halfway through treatment and still in love with this practice. I absolutely selected the right professional to administer Invisalign treatment to correct an unruly bite that made it difficult to chew. Dr. Grinbaum is whip smart, as is her teacher, an oral surgeon at Mt. Sinai I consulted with about my jaw, and her staff is friendly and extremely capable. Dr. Grinbaum is insightful and intuitive, she has a magician’s ease with her medical skill. Her team take the time to explain everything in detail. My treatment is completing sooner than I anticipated, my bite corrected very quickly, and I can chew with ease now. She also surprised me by filing away some unruly edges and polishing my teeth. My teeth look and feel like a million bucks, and she hasn’t even “tweaked” them yet. This treatment has exceeded expectations on all fronts.

We first went to an orthodontist in Brooklyn but, my mother did not agree with his ideas towards my sisters braces because she need 4 TEETH to be extracted. So we went to Dr. Grinbaum and she told us that one, he put the braces on incorrectly and two, he was wrong towards his opinion and it would have made her lips droopy. So we got an appeal and continued the treatment with her. We all love her, she is very nice, professional very well informing and does her very best to help her patients. From the moment I stepped into her office I felt relaxed and she is so knowledgeable- I knew I was in good hands! Since I am not an adolescent getting braces for the first time I wanted more esthetic options to look age appropriate. Dr Grinbaum offers invisalign (clear aligners) and braces behind the teeth!! Who knew braces can go behind the teeth!! I had gone on two previous consultations and Dr Grinbaum was VERY reasonably priced compared to the other orthodontist. On top of that, her office was very clean and comfortable. I now am 3 months into treatment with braces behind my teeth and my teeth are noticeably better. Dr. Grinbaum was excellent in solving the problem my son had with his hidden canine. He had ingrowing teeth, and they were crooked. She patiently listened and understood our concerns, explained the options and answered all our questions. This review is long overdue. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START. I am actually IN LOVE AND OBSESSED WITH EVERYONE IN THIS OFFICE. I had braces as a teen but never wore my retainer so my teeth shifted back. I was really self conscious and didn’t want invisalign because taking them out to eat is kind of gross so I visited Dr. Grinbaum for a ceramic braces consult after going to several other different doctors. It was a no brainer once I stepped foot in her office. She sat me down and went over everything in depth with me and was soooooo nice and friendly and seemed extremely confident and smart which led me to stick with her. Not only if she so nice, comforting, sweet and experienced.. she’s also beautiful!!! I felt soo confident that I would be in the best of hands so I decided to make an appointment and get my braces on! Everything has been going to smoothly and I only have 10 more weeks left. I look forward to each appointment I have with Dr. Grinbaum and Kelly and the other wonderful people in the office because they’re so inviting and I leave happy. My teeth are almost 100% straight.. I cannot wait for the final 10 weeks I have left with these braces. She also is known for incognito braces so definitely consider those if you go into a consult. The best part is I will have a permanent retainer so I don’t have to worry about my teeth shifting back after. I’m SO thrilled I found Dr. Grinbaum but it wasn’t hard because I typed in “BEST ORTHODONTIST IN MANHATTAN” and she was on the list. She’s phenomenal and so is everyone in the office. I’m so happy. It is so hard with my schedule to make it to appointments and they were so flexible, extremely helpful and caring. I went there and had my free consultation for invisalign. Dr. Grinbaum was extremely kind and knowledgeable. She explained everything patiently without any pressure. She was extremely professional and kind. Same goes for the staff, everyone was AMAZING. If you’ve gone to orthodontic consultations and are frustrated by the doc-in-a-box mentality of prescribing an overpriced plan with no certainty of a better result, do not be discouraged — Grinbaum Orthodontics exists! I’ve been in touch with a lot of NYC orthodontists over the last month (about 40 in total), and Grinbaum Orthodontics has been a glowing winner…here’s why: Cheryl replied within 24 hours of my inquiry and scheduled my appointment quickly. The consultation was 100% complimentary and I was surprised as the majority of orthodontists charge big consultation fees ranging from $75 to $495. Due to train delays, I arrived a bit late so I called the office to see if I could reschedule and Cheryl reassured me that there was no problem and to come in. I was greeted by her bright, lovely smile that made me feel less nervous about my appointment. They works as a unit: Kiara was the first to discuss my motivations in getting orthodontic treatment. She was extremely attentive and so very kind, and I genuinely knew that she was hearing my concerns; she told me that Dr. Grinbaum is expertly trained in the lingual braces treatment that I’ve wanted for years now. I met Kelly who was such a sweet soul and extremely thorough in answering my many questions. She digitally scanned my teeth so Dr. Grinbaum could have another visual to consult during her examination. During this last month, many orthodontic offices boasted about their technology or awards in an effort to propel me into treatment asap. None of this happened; there was no pomp and circumstance, no showing me previous patient progress photos or name-dropping the projects they were involved with; I appreciated how focused everyone was on this specific case, on the result rather than the technology, and on explaining what will happen next for the sake of my comfort instead of trying to impress me into signing for treatment the same day. Dr. Grinbaum is beyond qualified with her many years of studies at NYU Dental and beyond, but humbly offered her professional opinion instead of overcompensating low quality practices with titles and accolades. Almost every doctor I visited in hopes of getting lingual braces (as listed on their site) told me that they no longer use them due to their complexity and cost, and instead highly favor Invisalign to get the same results as “obsolete” lingual braces. Speaking with Dr. Grinbaum, I quickly realized that it was not the expense or lack of demand for these discreet braces that led to their scarcity; it became apparent that many orthodontists either did not have enough experience with lingual braces or did not want the hassle of a long treatment time with their patient, and instead opted for Invisalign as a bandaid to the problem. I have not met a doctor in New York as comfortable administering treatment with lingual braces as Dr. Grinbaum. I have previously heard wild treatment plans offered to the tune of surgically implanted TAD expanders, shaving or pulling my teeth to make room, Invisalign with a post period of traditional braces for a few months that would not be covered under the initially quoted plan. I received better options from Dr. Grinbaum and her team, but lingual braces sounded the best to me as a working adult. Dr. Grinbaum sat down and discussed that lingual braces will alleviate the crowding, crossbite, & narrow palate with my compliance in approximately 20 mo. She did not offer any magical guarantees and was realistic in telling me that this is a huge commitment we will take on to get my teeth and bite as aligned as possible. She worked with Kelly to create a viable plan for my treatment, and was so genuine in alleviating my apprehensions. She sat with me for as long as needed and asked me a few times if there was anything else she may address or expand upon, instead of rushing me out of the office for another patient as so many have done before. Karin Grinbaum is a class act. I have read many reviews about her exceptional treatment of adolescent patients and I have no doubt that she makes her patients of all ages comfortable in her care. I also mentioned to Kelly that I have a few orthodontic consultations left before I make my decision and instead of taking offense to shopping around for this huge financial and time-consuming decision, she without a second thought asked when would be the right time to follow up. A few hours after the consultation, Kelly was extremely thoughtful and sent the plans we discussed with everything written eloquently and clearly (in comparison, I’ve had someone jot down numbers on a post-it note before ushering me out of the office). Orthodontic work is such a huge commitment and personal investment. I have a few more dreaded consultations to ensure I’ve covered all of the bases, but I am more comfortable to know that the money I’m saving up for this endeavor will go to a practice that truly deserves it for the unrivaled service and care they provide to their patients.
