I had the good fortune of finding Dr. Sonia Kohli, as I experienced a terrible tooth infection and my whole face swelled up” I found her on Zoo Doc and liked her reviews and decided to try her out. It was right before the 4th of July weekend. I have never experienced such a wonderful caring doctor, who texts you, face times you to see how you are doing before she even sees you and checks on you afterwards. Dr. Kohli has much empathy for her patients. She takes the time to address the issues and helps create a plan with you going forward if needed. Dr. Kholi is far from pushy, and I love that. “Needless to say” I have never stepped in any doctors office in my life, and felt like “an angel” The cleanliness, the clean air, machinery, furniture. I was amazed! Her office is all white, and not a spec of dirt, not even dust and windows so clean. Dr. Kohli is the absolute best. She takes a scary thing like going to the dentist and makes it like visiting your best friend. As I was in the chair I noticed the she offers botox which is something I always thought about but was afraid. After speaking with her for alittle while I was so comfortable I got up the courage to ask her about it and ended up doing it the same day! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Kohli, Michelle and her entire staff! After a long string of nightmare dentists across the country, I was working in NYC and a friend recommended Dr. Kohli. From the moment I walked in the office I felt good vibes and was treated like a real person! On day one Dr. Kohli identified ALL my problems and got to work fixing them right away and put together a plan to solve everything over time. I appreciate Mel’s patient engagement and sense of humor. A person always wants someone technically sound at what they do (process execution), which Mel very much is, but it is even better to have that expertise coupled with sincere, authentic people skills. I have as much fun at the dentist as a person can have…and I learn a lot about changes I can make to continue to improve and enhance my visits. Short of putting in one of those treasure chests from the 1970s where kids got to select a toy before departing, or Mel discovering a foolproof way to avoid patient tooth decay, the visits could not be improved. I am grateful.

I was referred to Dr. Kohli by a friend for Invisalign. After seeing my friends results and after several consultations with other Doctors, I decided that her prices, work, and bedside manner seemed a good fit. I had a very extreme case, and she worked wonders on my teeth. I wish I could show you how crooked my front few teeth were before. Now I get complimented on my smile all the time . Her staff is super friendly, and easy to deal with. To be honest Dr. Kohli is more than a doctor to me, I consider her a friend!

Found Dr. Kohli exactly a year ago because I chipped my tooth and needed work done asap – the last year, Dr. Kohli has helped me get my smile in the most amazing place, both from a health and aesthetic perspective. I am one of those people who are more scared of dentists than I am of insects. Then someone I know referred me to Dr Kohli and she made it easy for me to trust her with my teeth. Dr. Kohli is a skilled dental professional who puts even the most nervous patients at ease. Her technical skill is only outmatched by her superior bedside manner and practice’s standard of customer service. She gets to know her patients and takes a calm, gentle approach to each procedure. She also makes herself available to patients round the clock — most notably when my root (PAINFULLY!) died on a Sunday evening and she called me within 20 minutes of me texting her and saw me first thing the next morning. Michelle at the front desk is highly competent, responsive and supportive in navigating but in and out of network insurances. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for exceptional care and a friendly office to put all your worries at ease!

So I’ve had the same replacement tooth in my mouth since I was in high school. I’m a wee bit over 35 years old, so the crown is basically older than Miley Cyrus. I hadn’t really thought about this crown that had been sitting in the front of my teeth until one day it unexpectedly lost a battle with a sriacha melt subway sandwich. This occurred on a Sunday evening (I had a conference on Monday afternoon) and I called a bunch of dentists on Yelp as well as a few other references. Dr. Kohli was referred by a friend of mine so I added her to the list. While I never even got call back from some of those I called, Dr. Kohli touched base immediately on Sunday and made things happen so that I was fine for the conference. Fast forward to now – I have been to Dr. Kohli’s office several times and she has been nothing but extraordinary. She is very nice, has a top percentile bedside manner and executes on an extremely high level. Her staff is also really nice and efficient. They will get you in and out of an appointment much quicker than a normal dentist visit. I’ve recommended her to my family and friends and everyone has come back extremely happy. And I forgot to mention that she has an office on Madison and 50th, which is amazing for us working stiffs in Midtown. You really can’t ask for a better situation. If you are looking for a new dentist give her a try – I guarantee you will leave satisfied!!!

I can’t thank enough Dr. Kohli and her staff for their quality service. I had a dental emergency yesterday: painful impacted wisdom tooth. Dr. Kohli was able to see me the same day. Her staff was very empathic and absolutely no wait time. The paper work was easy to fill out and the office space was warm and welcoming. Not your typical dentist office. Dr. Kohli examined my problem and she explained clearly what my options were. I decided to remove my wisdom tooth the same day. No pain and only slight discomfort. Dr. Kohli’s staff was guiding me through the entire process. I have no pain tolerance and she made me feel comfortable and was mindful throughout the whole process. I walked back home after the procedure feeling just fine. Dr. Kohli followed up with me throughout the evening about my recovery and gave me useful advice for a speedy recovery. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a professional and friendly dental services.

I regretted that necessity from the start. I have now switched back to this very kind, caring, professional, highly expert doctor with a sense of humor. Dr. Kohli is not only supremely knowledgeable of her craft, but is careful to explain her processes for the present, as well as prognosis for the future, in a clear and easy manner. I’ve never known this of another dentist. Dr. Kohli is, first and foremost, a kind and caring human being. Dr. Kohli is the best dentist I have ever had. I can’t imagine a dentist I would ever trust more with the care of my teeth. This is crucial, as I have become more and more concerned about dentists performing unnecessary and sometimes destructive work. I have two bad dentists in the past: one that ruined one of my teeth for an unnecessary crown and a second who recommended similar work on another couple of my teeth. Fortunately, I found Dr. Kohli, who told me that no such work was necessary.
