Smiles on Smiles is a wonderful dental care office. Dr. Hsu and his team are such friendly and professional people. As I entered the office, I was warmly welcomed by Amy, and then soon greeted by the dental hygienist. They seem to run right on schedule which I’m certain everyone appreciates! To my pleasant surprise, Dr. Hsu also came to introduce himself before my cleaning. In past experiences at other offices, the dentist does not come by until afterwards and only exchanges a few words. I really liked that Dr. Hsu wanted to be aware of my current dental condition, and address any of my concerns/questions beforehand. I even learned a couple of things based on my annual dental x-rays, which I enjoyed considering that I’ve never had them explained to me before. It was a nice change to meet people who genuinely care about their work and the patient! At the end of my visit, I felt that 1) I had a proper and thorough cleaning, 2) I had received solid feedback and an understanding of my dental health, and 3) I will absolutely return to this office! I highly recommend Smiles on Smiles Dental Care! The modern office space and the staff are phenomenal!

Dr Hsu is such a gem! As is the entire staff here. What a dream team. I honestly look forward to going to the dentist and go more often than necessary just because I like it so much. During non-Covid times they offer you a glass of water or a hot cup of tea as you wait (but there’s barely ever much of a wait). The physical space is very beautiful as well.

Loved it! I am a person who hates the dentist and frequently contemplates canceling appointments even if something is wrong. I’ve just left Dr. Hsu office, the staff at the front desk were wonderful, welcoming, and offered me something to drink as I filled out paperwork. Once I was taken back the dr came immediately to introduce himself, talked me through my xrays before my cleaning and discussed options before doing anything! Once I was comfortable he handed me a remote so I could select a Netflix show to watch during my cleaning which was on the ceiling!! Amazing!! I’ve only ever stared at light fixtures! The cleaning was quick and effective and he continued to ask me if I needed any breaks. At the end I felt really good about the appointment and have already scheduled a return visit! All my nerves were definitely calmed!

I want to start off by saying I love this place. I have yet to make any reviews on yelp but I had to make one about the amazing staff here! I also have yet to see any dentist go this above and beyond for their patients. Dr. Hsu showed compassion and concern for my personal well being and I truly appreciate that! I can’t express enough how fantastic you guys are! Thank you for such a warm and amazing experience.

By far the best dental office I’ve been to. The staff up front were friendly and made me feel right at home. The office had such a modern atmosphere and a detailed COVID–19 protocol that made me feel extremely comfortable. Dr.Hsu was attentive and patient – he went out of his way to explain to me every single step of my procedure. Prices were reasonable too! Overall, I had an amazing experience here and look forward to my next visit.

Extremely happy with this service I received here.  The space is relaxing and well designed, the staff was super friendly and hospitable (felt like being at a hotel!), and the rooms are integrated with brand new and high-tech equipment.  Dr. Hsu was polite, friendly, and passionate about his work.  Very strong attention to detail and focus on his practice.  Five stars!!

I’ve been coming here for over a year now. First just for a simple checkup, during which the doctor discovered I would need a root canal. Keep in mind it was literally over 10 years since I last visited a dentist at this point. Of course, going into the root canal I was nervous. Everyone always says how unpleasant a root canal is. I can genuinely say that during the procedure, I felt no pain at all. I sat there calmly watching one of my favorite movies on Netflix while they worked on me. Everyone is so nice, greets you by name, and is very calming and understanding. To say that the entire experience there is spa-like is odd to say about a dentist, but I legit feel that way. I no longer put off going to the dentist.

Dr. Hsu and his staff are wonderful. The space is amazing and makes you feel comfortable. You are always welcomed with a smile, tea/water, and the feeling that you are appreciated as a customer. Dr. Hsu answered all my tooth concerns, even very minor ones, and remembered our conversation at my next follow up 6 months later. My partner has also had a great experience and recently started invisiline. Dr. Hsu worked with him to choose the right option both financially and optimally for is teeth. I can’t wait to see the results. We love this place and will continue to be loyal customers. Also, netflix on the ceiling is pretty cool.

As many people are, I am anxious about going to the Dentist and I needed a new one as my old one moved. I am a RN, so I know oral health is very important, but I would rather not have to go. Lol! In my search for a new Dentist, I read reviews of many Dentists who take my insurance on Zocdoc. Dr. Hsu’s office was a great location for me and his reviews were excellent online, so I made an appointment with him. Dr. Hsu and his staff did not disappoint! Everyone is very kind and gentle (I had zero pain), and the office is clean, modern, and relaxing. I watched Netflix on the ceiling while in the chair getting worked on and I laughed watching QueerEye….I certainly don’t think I have ever laughed in a Dentist chair before! That is how relaxed and comfortable I was. It was a great Dental experience and I am happy to say I have found my new Dentist in NYC! I definitely recommend Dr. Hsu!

Dr. Benjamin Hsu is fabulous! He’s very personal warm and professional. He’s conservative in his approach, so you don’t have to worry about a dentist who goes after your pocket book. He also is in to preventative care, therefore he recommends 3 cleanings a year vs. 2. He has a deal called the PCP where you pay a set fee that includes 3 cleanings, full set of X rays, emergency visits and discounts on other dental work for 1 year. You also get 1 free cleaning and exam (x rays not included) to pass on to someone you know. I had a filling repaired and my first cleaning. Going great so far! The space is gorgeous! Clean and wonderful lighting. (I’m sensitive to light and surroundings.) They have TVs on the ceiling so you can watch while you are leaning back in the chair. Other perks: you get complimentary lip balm and they also have pens to give out. Don’t look any further. This is your new dentist! Oh, and I drive all the way from Brooklyn (1hr), because he’s that AWESOME!

I have hated going to the dentist for as long as I can remember—the cost, the fillings, the drill sound—I just don’t like it! Dr. Hsu changed the game. Visiting Smiles on Smiles is the first time I can honestly that I had a GOOD experience at the dentist! Everyone is so pleasant. You can communicate via text message for emergencies and cancellations. There’s a TV on the ceiling to make you feel more comfortable. They accept people without insurance. They gave me all of the information I needed up front from the moment I walked in—at the desk, during my procedure, and when discussing my payment. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Not sure how I came across Dr. Hsu but I have never felt more comfortable in any practice before. As others said he is gentle, caring, respectful and explains everything thoroughly. There is never any pressure to have a procedure done. His staff are the backbone and such wonderful kind people!

Dr.Hsu and staff are incredible. I was first a patient of Dr.Hsu’s when he worked at a different clinic in the UES. When I found out that he no longer worked there, I had to follow him his new practice in the UWS. The long commute was worth the hassle. In return, I was able to see a compassionate and amazing dentist. You can tell he really loves what he does and keeps update to date with evidence-based care. His staff members are also very professional and competent. I highly recommend Smiles on Smiles Dental Care!.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I can’t say enough kind words. Dr. Hsu has done more work on my teeth in the past 2 years than I’ve probably had in the rest of my life combined and I trust his work and judgement 100%. The office staff is amazing as well – they’re so friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

A minute after I stepped into Smiles On Smiles, I’d already forgotten I was coming to see a dentist for an implant consultation. The office is soothing and mind-calming. The wood beams, the music and–most important, the smiles and greetings of the staff–made me feel like I had just arrived at the home of one of my closest friends. After years of trying different dentists, and being dissatisfied with all of them, I had decided to see Dr. Hsu at my granddaughter’s suggestion, but I had also done my own research. Reading Smiles On Smiles’ exceptional reviews through ZocDoc, Yelp, and Google had clinched my decision to follow my granddaughter’s advice. And after two visits I am glad I did. Dr. Hsu is very passionate about dentistry, as well as about understanding his patients’ concerns. He made sure I understood every stage of the treatment he proposed, which was tailor made to suite my needs and goals. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment. Jen Huang

I am so thankful of my co-worker for recommending Dr. Hsu.  After working at a dentist for 13 years (he moved out of the state ), it was very difficult to find a dentist I can trust. The moment I met Dr. Hsu I knew he was the one.  His professionalism is to admired.  Amy and Cynthia are so kind and helpful. You could hear his passion for dentistry when he speaks. Dr. Hsu explained with details every step of the visit.  On my first visit I had an extraction and didn’t feel a thing.  He is an amazing Dentist and I will continue going to him as long as possible.  The office is beautiful and modern.  Dr  Hsu have a very bright future and his willing to help and have an honest relationship with his patients will allow him to continue growing his business I will definitely recommend Smiles on Smiles to everyone. I pray Dr Hsu continue to be Bless for a long time.

For context, I haven’t been to the dentist in 8 years. I smoke like crazy and am married to an orthodontist. So I am the poster child for mouth shame. We’re talking, fighting a panic attack and tears just getting on the train to go to the office. So, if you’re nervous about the judgement… I sooo get you. I made the appointment with Dr. Hay’s office based on the recommendation of a friend who is an orthodontist. I asked her who she would go to for her own teeth and without pause recommended Smiles on Smiles. Making the appointment on Friday was very easy and they worked me in on Monday. When I got the office I was trembling no lie. The front desk staff immediately set me at ease with a smile, a coaster for my Starbucks and questions about my weekend. Honestly some of the nicest office staff I’ve ever encountered. I was brought back within 2 minutes by the hygienist who’s name is pronounced like “win”. She was so bubbly, friendly and relaxed it melted all of my stress away. She was so very accommodating and really took her time during my cleaning even explaining certain points that were very interesting to me and helpful to know. After her cleaning we had a brief conversation about best practices with my mouth and I could keep my teeth in better shape. I then had a chance to see Dr. Hsu who is so down to earth and a pleasure to chat with! He was so thorough and very collaborative in discussing treatment. I know more dental professionals than I care to admit but he absolutely blew me away with his approach. I am so unbelievably impressed with this office that I immediately purchased their in house dental plan as I cannot wait to return for future visits. Never in a million years would I ever expect it but I am actually, looking forward to my next dentist appointment! If you are considering a dental practitioner, take it from me and do yourself a favor go to Smiles on Smiles!

Since moving to the UWS five years ago, I’ve been through quite a few area dentists (three, to be exact). Luckily, in Smiles on Smiles I’ve finally found a dentist who does excellent work and values the patient experience. Dr Hsu, his hygienists and front desk are warm, accommodating, knowledgeable and take the extra time to ensure each visit is a great one. My questions are always answered, preexisting issues always followed up upon, and subsequent visits always accommodate my schedule (they keep great hours and are open on Saturday). As an added perk, each room is equipped with TV + Netflix. Can’t recommend Smiles on Smiles enough. Don’t waste your time with other dentists in the area like I did.

It was a very nice experience to come here for my annual dental preventive care. The appointment and check-in were made easy, the venue is large with a brick touch. It did not feel being processed like in a factory, the staff was friendly and service harmless. I could even watch Netflix why being taken care of. Will come back!
