I recently had my second check-up appointment with Dr. Youn. As before, I saw that she took the necessary precautions to make me feel safe in the office and dental chair. Shout-out to her staff too for their reassurance. I have already scheduled my follow-up appointment for next March. In this post-COVID world, Dr Youn has set the standard on how to operate a successful dental practice. Her office was so clean — sneeze guards installed, hand sanitizer available, a waiting room that was empty and socially distanced seating — it was a great experience. Dr. Youn has been my dentist for approximately 10 years now. She is absolutely wonderful – she is by far the best dentist I have had since living in NY! I was nervous to visit the dentist during the Covid-19 pandemic but I had fractured my tooth and Dr. Youn was able to take me in same day to resolve the issue. I started seeing Dr Youn about 5 years ago based on the referral of two of my coworkers that are longtime patients of hers. In the beginning Dr Youn created a detailed plan of action for all my dental needs including cleanings, fillings and crowns – all of which I have been completely satisfied with. She is gentle, thorough, attentive to the finest of details and very clear in her explanation of everything along the way. I remember being so impressed at my first appointment by how modern, technologically advanced and clean her office is. Most recently during the Covid pandemic I found myself in need of emergency dental work with a cracked tooth. Dr Youn was able to accommodate me and I was immediately at ease to see that her practice had gone above and beyond the guidelines regarding protective, safety and sanitation measures. Dr Youn’s receptionist Linda was notably helpful in getting me in right away during that time and briefed me on all the additional safety precautions they have taken. Since I started seeing Dr Youn I have referred many of my own clients and coworkers to her and they have all been equally satisfied. You’re going to find a dentist ever few blocks in Manhattan, but I doubt you’ll find one who will treat you better and most importantly more painlessly than Dr. Youn. I blame bad genetics(not my diet) for cursing me with 7 root canals thus far. If I wasn’t stuck in afghanistan now, I’d make an appointment to see her ASAP to take care of the cracked crown I recently got from chomping down on a pebble stuck inside the surprisingly delicious afghan bread i was eating the other day.

Best dentist you will find in NY. Dr. Youn takes a genuine interest in the well being of your teeth and when work is indicated she is gentle and professional. I had unfinished dental work due to NYS Pause. During this period of heighten anxiety, Dr. Youn called to check in on me every week. She called into check on for 9 weeks straight! I was very anxious about having to go back to the dental office during this time and I asked her a ton of questions regarding the safety protocols she put in place. She was patient and was highly proactive in making sure she protected her staff as well as her patients. She held her and her staff accountable to strict quarantine and safety procedures. She held me accountable to strict quarantine and safety procedures. When I arrived at the office I was the only patient. She spaced each of us two hours apart to give her staff time to sanitize appropriately. I washed my hands immediately upon arrival. My temperature was taken. I kept my mask on until they were ready for me. Overall, I felt very comfortable under her care and thankful that she’s so careful and thoughtful taking everything we currently know about how to minimize risk and apply it at her office. I’m so glad to have found Dr. Youn. She breaks down the work you need done, in what order it should be completed in, as well as detailed descriptions about what your options are. Before Dr. Youn I didn’t even know there were better, more durable options, than composite filling. She always listens to my concerns and gives meaningful feedback. I have sensitive teeth, and Dr. Youn is firm but also careful to not cause too much discomfort. Literally, I have fallen asleep/dozed off a few times during drilling/fillings! I’ve been in more dentist chairs than I’m proud of and finally here, I feel well taken care of. The dental hygienists and administrative teams are just the best. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience or exchange. Linda has always gone the extra mile to speak with my insurance company and figure out financial logistics on my behalf. She answers within a timely manner, usually within 24 hours of my initial call. The office is impeccably clean, easily accessible, and comfortable!

I have been going to Dr. Youn for years and she is AWESOME!! She is incredibly thorough, kind, knowledgeable – and hilarious! It’s not every day that you find a combination like that. After having a few bad experiences in the city, I was recommended to her through a friend who was in dental school at the time. I am so happy to have finally found someone who gets me and who I can trust with one of my most valuable assets – my grill! I’ve had multiple friends start seeing Dr. Youn after hearing me rave about her for years, and they are all thrilled with her work as well. Going back during COVID-19, I had no hesitations that the office would be extra clean and take all of the necessary precautions (including filling out paperwork online ahead of my visit to ensure I was healthy). I was the only one in the elevator on my way up and had my temperature checked before going in. I washed my hands and they have hand sanitizer at the front desk, along with clear partitions for everyone’s safety. They gave me a little bag for my mask and put all of my personal belongings in an air tight container. The dental hygienist wiped down all of the equipment immediately after I used it (ie: the lovely gown you wear during your x-rays). Everyone in the office wears PPE, including surgical masks, gowns and clear plastic shields. I felt incredibly safe and well taken care of the entire time, and I have no qualms about going back to the office in a few weeks for a follow up appointment. If you are looking for someone to take care of you and your teeth with expert care – you found the right place!!!
