★★★★★
I have been dealing with Dr Wu for over 6 years. I hated dentists before I started seeing Dr Wu. I fear and cannot stand the needles for numbing. Dr Wu is so gentle that he has drilled and filled my cavities without numbing and I didn’t feel a thing. I also like the fact that there is hardly any wait time (I can only remember 1 or 2 times out of six years that I had to wait). Another thing his staff is very courteous and professional. I appreciate Dr Wu and his staff professionalism and honesty. I recommend him to anyone.
★★★★★
I find Dr Wu’s office very neat, the staffs pleasant and of course Dr Wu very good with what he does. My dental cleaning was not painful as compared to the experience with my previous dentist. Lastly, I didn’t have to wait for more than 10-15 mins, which is incredible considering the wait time elsewhere was typically 30+ mins.

I have been seeing Dr. Wu for over a decade and highly recommend coming to see him for your dental needs. He is friendly, clear and considerate. As a New Yorker, my time is valuable and I appreciate Dr. Wu’s efficiency and professional staff. I came in for a teeth cleaning and he found and treated a few cavities in which I needed a crown and potentially a root canal. Dr. Wu continually showed me images of my tooth (to make sure I was in the know), the exact procedure he planned to execute and why. When I came back for my crown, he consistently asked how I was doing, explained what he was doing every step of the way and took breaks to make sure I wasn’t overwhelmed. (I am such a baby when it comes to tooth pain!) He makes going to the dentist much less painful!

My tooth was aching and I needed to get in to see a dentist quickly. The receptionist was so friendly and was very accommodating with my schedule and tried hard to find a time what worked well for me. The day of my appointment, I happen to be 15 min late and Dr. Wu waited around for me, even though I was his last appointment. The Dr. kept asking if I was comfortable and not in any pain. Needless to say, he refilled my filling and my cavity was gone. An hour later I was good as new and I even got a pretty sweet “gift bag”. It contained the usual toothpaste (Sensodyne of course), floss and a toothbrush. But the best part was a chapstick! SO SMART to give patients that after their mouths have been wide open for so long and your lips are dry. Thoughtful thinking doctor! Anyhoo, I am a stickler for neat waiting rooms and this one was impeccable. Soothing almost. I hate the ones with kids running around and toys strewn everywhere. Location is great. Right near Grand Central so it is a very convenient office. I will absolutely be back every 6 months for my cleaning. If you need a dentist in the city, I’d say here is the best I have seen.

I’ve been a patient of Dr.Wu for the last several years and he has definitely helped me overcome my fear of the dentist. He is very gentle and has great bedside manners. He explains everything he does and makes the entire experience as comfortable as it could be. I recommend him 100%!!
★★★★★
I had three of my wisdom teeth pulled and it was painless. I was so amazed because usually after a tooth extraction, people complain about the pain. But i didnt felt any pain afterwards. I go to him every six months for a cleaning and hes amazing. I love how the office is always so relaxing and comfortable. I highly recomend him as a dentist.
★★★★★
Skillful, honest and diligent dentist with many years of experience. I just say, I’m not loyal to any doctors, hair salons, etc. but I when it comes to dentists, I have not found anyone who was as good as Dr. Wu. He does any procedure, extremely diligent, only suggests what you really need (and doesn’t try to upcharge you on things you don’t need unlike some other dentists). My new insurance isn’t accepted at his office yet I still go back to him for any procedures since I know he’ll do it right. And teeth stay with you for life!

My entire life I have used a relative as a Dentist but after moving to Manhattan it became very difficult to get see my usual dentist out side of the city. Going in I had very high expectations and Dr. Wu has exceeded all of them. He was very honest and upfront about everything going into detail about the various procedures that needed to be done and the reasons why. His office is exceptionally clean and organized which is very important for me. In addition to standard dental procedures (fillings, checkups etc.) he has also started me on the “Invisalign” program which I am very happy with as well.

Dr. Wu has a 4.9 start review on ZocDoc, but a 2.5 start on Yelp. One review here expected an hour long cleaning?? This is new year city, people here expect efficiency! I’d be upset if my cleaning took an hour, but then again I’m big into oral hygiene, so I don’t need too much work done. I can see someone with a lot of bad habits and plaque build up might need longer cleaning time, but don’t feel it should be expected. I came in for an exam and cleaning. The staff were friendly, booking an appointment on soc doc was really easy. There was no wait time when I got there, so I was taken into the room by the dental assistant shortly after I arrived. The office is very traditional but clean, same goes for the doctor(cant beat decades of experience). During cleaning he took out this camera wand and showed me one of my molars had a pocket. It wasn’t a cavity, its probably from a filling falling out (which I recall happening 2 or 3 years ago, but when I when to the hospital to get my wisdom tooth removed, no one mentioned anything to me). We were able to get that filled and also found out through the xrays that a piece of dental instrument was embedded in my bones (from my wisdom tooth removal process, which was done in a hospital in another country). The doc told me if I wanted to, he can remove it, but it’ll require surgery and if its not bothering me to just leave it for now. Since I already had it in for over a year and it didn’t effect me, I rather not go through the whole cutting into my bones to remove a small piece of metal. I liked that he didn’t blow it out of proportion and insiste on removal. I had a really positive experience with Dr. Wu and would highly recommend him!

Very friendly Doctor & staff. Doctor was very helpful and informative in regards to procedures that would be needed in the future. Pain free cleaning! Showed up an hour early but was still seen minimum 10 mins prior to my appointment. Super clean bathroom! -always a plus.

This is the best dentist ever. I haven’t been to a dentist for a long time because I was really terrified by the previous one I had. However, i needed a cleaning and some feelings as soon as possible, so I came across Dr. Wu through a friend’s referrals. He did a very good job on my feelings, it felt as good as new. He made sure that it didn’t hurt, so he gave me a annesthetic shot to numb my gums because I had a very deep cavity. I was surprise that he actually care about his patients, he answer all my questions and gave me advice on how to keep my teeth cleans. It was nice of him to give each cleaning patient a goodie bag. Aside from Dr. wu, his assistants and the receptionist were very nice to me. I called to make an appointment and she found something that works for me, she was very patient and helpful, very friendly. I love his office as well, very clean, shiny floors, and it has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Once you inside in the treatment room, you can see a relaxing view of kites and the sky (it’s the lighting) and a wonderful view of the outside of grand central. I highly recommend him and you will not regret it. I will be going there every six month for cleaning and stop procrastinating.

I am not someone who goes to the dentist regularly. Like most millennials I only go to the doctor if I really need it. I had a chipped filling from years ago that keeps cutting my tongue, it was finally time to get it fixed. I was a bit hesitant because I have often hear about how some dentists would tell people they have cavities and do fillings even if its unnecessary to the money. I came in expecting to be told that I needed a bunch of procedures, since its been 3 or 4 years since my last visit to a dentist. My experience: the front desk lady was friendly and professional and I was taken in to the procedure room right away. The assistant put a bib on me, set up what was needed and asked me a few basic questions before getting the doctor. Dr. Wu greeted me as soon as he entered, asked me some questions about my general health and then started examining my teeth and my concerns. He suggested we start with some xray and cleaning since its been years and I had some build up, I agreed. The procedure was pretty quick and painless and I did see a difference in how much clear my teeth is now. Now on to the main reason why I came. Turns out I did have a chipped filling that needed to be refilled. In the back of my head I kept thinking he’s going to tell me I need a lot more fillings and I was getting myself ready to say “show me evidences!”… but that never came up. He filled in the tooth I needed and told me I was done and to come back in 6 month for regular cleaning. I actually ask him if that was it, do I not have other cavities that needs work? He said he saw some small dark spots but it may just be a stain and for us to observe it more and see how it goes in 6 month. I was pretty pleased with his progressive not aggressive approach and felt that I would be comfortable with staying with Dr. Wu in the future. I didn’t feel pressured, I didn’t feel scared, it was a lot easier than I expected and I’m happy about it. Dr.Wu came highly recommended to me by my coworker and I would definitely recommend him to others!

Dr. Wu is an excellent dentist. His manner is calm, gentle and capable. He treats his patients as intelligent adults and explains what needs to be done, why it needs to be done and how it will be done in clear language. His waiting room is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The receptionists and assistants have the same calm, pleasant manner as the Doctor. I recommend him to anyone in need of a dentist.
★★★★★
I scheduled the appointment at about 10am for the same day! Dr. Wu took his time to look at my x-rays and did not rush to the next patient! He explained me every detail about a small cavity that I have and all the options we have to tackle the problem. A cleaning was not scheduled, but when I asked if he could do a cleaning, he said sure and was happy to do so. The cleaning was just like any cleaning I received in the past… can not complain!!! Would absolutely go there again & would recommend him to a friend!
★★★★★
Been going to Dr Wu for over 7 years now. He is an excellent dentist and – more importantly – up front about the condition of my teeth. I trust him completely and it is hard to say that about a lot of dentists! The fact that his office is open on the weekends is an added bonus. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a dentist in Manhattan.
★★★★★
I have been a patient of Dr. Wu’s for several years. I am now in my 60’s and can say with confidence that Dr. Wu is without question the most competent dentist I have ever used. He has performed two emergency root canals for me and both times I was without pain during the surgery and feeling perfectly fine 12 hours later. Dr. Wu is an attentive, safe and impressive doctor. I trust my health, my pain threshold, and, quite frankly at times it has felt like – my life, to him.
★★★★★
Dr Wu is very gentle and caring about the treatment of my teeth. He have state of the art equipment but old school experience and his knowledge has no bounds. Before him I had a fear of dentist but he has made a believer out of me. Best dentist I ever had. Thanks Dr Wu.
★★★★★
I hate going to the dentist. It’s been a while and my visits always felt like a torture. He was calm, emphatic with good bedside manner. I would be coming back for my follow up visit. I definitely would recommend him!!! Go to Zocdoc and make that appointment!
