I was able to be seen very last minute because of my wisdom teeth pain. I couldn’t get my teeth taken out because of how close it was to major vain, but Dr.Pantaleo was able to refer me to an Oral Surgeon who was about to see me right away, prescribe me some medications and get my teeth taken out with no complication the same week.

My daughter had her first visit with Dr. Joe today and it was a fantastic experience. The X-rays were so easy and high tech. The hygienist was incredibly friendly and gentle- there was no pain during her cleaning at all. Dr Joe was great at explaining everything and the office was extremely clean and the equipment was state of the art. My daughter is now eager to go back for regular cleanings!!!

Excellent dentist. He does not try to perform procedures that are not necessary, unlike some other dentists (I’m looking at you, Gramercy Smiles). Why drill into teeth when it is not necessary? If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. It will only create more problems. Other dentists are quick to perform any procedure and extra procedures so they can make quick $$$ and pay for their fancy office. Dr. Pantaleo practices in an NYU facility. So if you want a dentist who has a fancy office in a hip neighborhood and will drill into your teeth when it is not necessary to make money, then don’t go to Joseph Pantaleo. If you want an experienced dentist, who has seen the ravages of doing too many dental procedures and practices preventative medicine, go to Joseph.

Dr. Pantaleo is absolutely, hands-down the BEST dentist that I’ve ever seen. I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite sometime due to a severe dental phobia. When I initially visited him it was due to a recommendation by a co-worker. Dr. Pantaleo has a kind of sixth sense and extreme empathy when it comes to understanding how totally terrified I was. He was patient, kind and thorough. I had to see him in intervals because I just couldn’t handle getting all the work that I need done in one sitting. He understood this and catered to me. You really need to have the patience of God to deal with how nervous I am in the chair. I need medication AND gas for ANYTHING (even a cleaning). But I’ve never felt more comfortable with a dentist in my life! I’ve finally received the care for my teeth that I needed after YEARS. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pantaleo. P.S. I don’t often writer reviews unless I’m complaining, honestly, but I know how hard it is to search for a dentist and when I was going through this the first thing I did was read reviews on Yelp for honest feedback. I really felt compelled to contribute because I know I’ll help someone else find a great dentist, like I did.

I can’t describe the level of comfort I feel when coming to this office. Coming to the dentist has always been a little unnerving for me, and this is the best experience I’ve ever had. The office is beautiful, clean and is updated with the latest technology to ensure a special experience. The staff is both professional and personable. It is clear that Dr. Joe cares about his patients as people, and is beyond knowledgeable in his skill set. Alex, the dental hygienist is extremely thorough and made me feel super comfortable!! I often have jaw pain, and she made it her mission to ensure that I was at ease during my cleaning. I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone, and wouldn’t send my loved ones anywhere else!

My experience was incredibly amazing. The hygentist Alexandra was very friendly and gentle. Best and most pain free cleaning I have ever had. Dr. Joe was a doll very honest and easy going he took the time out to explain my entire procedure. Totally forgot your old dentist location and come here, you wont be disappointed

It was great. The nurses were great, asked me if I have any concerns, asked where. They took my xrays and then cleaned my teeth. Very sweet, very night. I planned on just having one visit because currently my dentist is closed because of the pandemic but I’m Definitely going to make them my permanent dentist. Dr. Joseph came in and asked what teeth were bothering me and pulled up my X-rays and pointed out every single thing about my teeth. Took his time and went in great detail. Stuff he recommends, stuff he’s not worried about and what I should focus on more. I’d HIGHLY recommend this dentist to anyone who wants great service and wants to know extreme detail on their own teeth! Thank you Joseph!

After relocating from the DC area to NYC, I was in an emergency and needed a Dentist I could trust and rely on. My friend recommended Dr. Joe and he was even open on the weekends! He took his time and was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend him and was so comfortable that I am going back for my routine check-ups!

I can’t talk highly enough about Dr. Joe and his staff. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and have always cringed going to the dentist even for a simple cleaning. Alex, the hygienist, is the best I have ever had. She has done two cleanings for me so far and besides my teeth being the best looking they’ve ever been after a cleaning, it was pain free! The second time I didn’t even need numbing gel and almost fell asleep in her chair I was so relaxed. Dr. Joe is so calm and gentle too! I trust him and what he recommends. He is very genuine. Can’t forget about Lori at the front desk! So welcoming and kind! Overall best experience at the dentist I have ever had! So glad I switched to Dr. Joe!

Dr. Pantaleo is by far the best dentist that I have ever seen.  He is very informative and will talk you through and explain everything.  He made me feel safe and comfortable.  He is hardworking, trustworthy, and overall just an amazing doctor with a wonderful personality.  He had recently fixed two fractured teeth and I feel absolutely amazing!

Let me just start off with OMG!!! From the second I walked in to the time I checked out Perfection! The staff was very welcoming. After being very nervous with tooth pain the staff talked me through the dental process and I finally felt comfortable. I must say the way Dr. Joe handled me with such care I will never go anywhere else for Dental Work! This is the place to come if you need dental work. I’m going to make an appointment for my husband next.

The best dental care I have ever experienced! The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. Everything was on time and it was an extremely professionally run office. Alex the hygienist was amazing. I don’t remember when I’ve ever had such a thorough detailed cleaning. Dr. Pantaleo is a phenomenal all around dentist. I came to him a year ago after back to back experiences with two inexperienced, insensitive dentists. Since then I have never felt more respected, cared for, and well taken care of. Dr. Pantaleo really listens to his patients and shares his ideas and methods in a way that makes me feel like I’m part of the cleaning, healing, and fixing process. He is trustworthy, respectful, communicative, easy going, and very very good at his job. Despite multiple dental emergencies and long term pains I have had nothing but relief and good experiences with Dr. P’s help. I would recommend him to all my friends, family, and the guy on the corner moaning about a cavity.

I have been to many dentists and can’t believe that I did not come to Dr. Pantaleo sooner! I have had the best experience so far and I would recommend him to anyone. He knows how to treat his patients with care and takes the time to explain everything that was going on when I went to my dental cleaning. He is a excellent dentist and it shows that it’s beyond just a job for him! That is what I admire the most and it makes me feel so comfortable to go to his office and know that someone cares about me and my teeth!

I had broken a tooth and needed an appointment quick. I was able to get in to see Dr. Pantaleo. I waited less than 10 minutes to be called back. The receptionist and hygienist were extremely friendly and efficient. Dr. Pantaleo was very personable, straight forward, and flexible with my insurance which I appreciate. He was able to start the process of a crown the same day and placed a temporary to help alleviate the pain. I am very pleased with my visit and highly recommend him.

When looking for a dentist during covid, I wanted to go to someone who took the current situation seriously. Dr Joe has bedside manner of an angel. He saw me as an emergency, did the dreaded root canal procedure without an ounce of pain. He described every detail to the T. We all hate going to the dentist but why not go to someone who really cares. He doesn’t even nickel and dime you.

I had my first check-up and hygiene appointment at Dr. Joe’s and I could not be happier with my hygienist, Alex. She did a fantastic job walking me through the appointment, educating me on proper dental care, and of course cleaning my teeth and gums. It was clear that she cut no corners and is a true expert. I needed a pretty thorough cleaning, but Alex made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment which made it painless and easy. Alex also took the time and effort to ask me questions and get to the bottom of what was causing my inflammation and bleeding. I left the appointment feeling so much healthier, empowered to maintain a proper dental care routine, and actually looking forward to my next cleaning! It was so refreshing to visit a medical office where the front desk staff welcomed you to the office by looking at you and smiling!!! I was also surprised at how knowledgeable, thorough and friendly his dental assistant was during my cleaning. Dr Joe himself is so friendly and knowledgeable that I continue to see him even though his practice is about 45 min away! His office has the newest technology which helps deliver top notch care.
