Dr. Nawabi and her team are extremely professional, kind, and have excellent bedside manner. She is very thorough, careful, and, and patient. I never felt rushed, and felt appreciated and respected the entire time. Such a smooth transition from check in, to being seen, and checking out. I highly recommend Dr. Nawabi and her team, and will absolutely be keeping her as my primary dentist!

Dr. Nawabi has such a soothing voice and demeanor. I went in to get an X-ray. Was not prepared to have any work done. As soon as she started talking about how some things needed to get done. My anxiety kicked in 1000%. But as you listen to her, her voice is calming and she lets you know that she is just giving you her professional opinion. But ultimately its up to me. I understood the severity of waiting any long and she handled her business.

Excellent experience. I haven’t been back to the dentist in a while and I wasn’t shamed or scolded. Also, she was very honest and direct with me about what I needed, but definitely dis NOT try to “upsell” me on procedures or other things I didn’t need (e.g., I still have my wisdom teeth but they’ve given me no trouble yet, so when she asked about them and I said no pain/discomfort/issues, she said oh okay! And moved on). A very professional/direct/no bonded demeanor balanced with bedside manor and genuine communication. I was nervous about my first appointment in a while (and ashamed of how long it had been) and I felt respected and well treated, AND like my budget was also honored. 

The entire staff was awesome. Such a pleasant environment. Dr. Nawabi was very knowledgable about all things dental and several other areas. Learnrd a thing or two about my lifestyle from listening to her speak. This is the best dental office in the city and walking distance from friendship heights metro! I personally will not go to any other dentist for work done!

Dr. Nawabi is wonderful with kids. Especially great if you have an anxious child like I do. Also takes a conservative approach to treatment and does not recommend unnecessary or aggressive treatment unless absolutely needed. I loved her and so did my daughter.

My family and I are patients of Dr. Sheri Nawabi for 20 years and we love her! Professional and always making you comfortable. She also has a super team around her: orthodontist and surgeons from Pentagone to do your implants and perform very serious surgeries prior to implants. And of course Wendy her assistant who has been loyal to Dr Nawabi for ages. I will recommend her services without any hesitation and I give to the entire team a five star!

I finally got my fractured tooth pulled last night after procrastinating for almost a year. I initially came to Friendship Smiles for an appointment for the fractured tooth but decided to check several dentists and surgeons to compare prices for the extraction and implant. Unfortunately, I waited a little too long and part of my tooth fell out over the Thanksgiving holiday which exposed the nerves. This became extremely painful after a few weeks. Dr. Nawabi did everything possible to ensure I was able to manage the pain until I was able to schedule an appointment with the surgeon Dr. Honl. I’m so glad I returned. Dr. Honl did a great job. He kept me informed throughout the process and made sure I was comfortable. He is very personable, caring and professional. I love the staff from Gloria the receptionist to Dr. Nawabi. I absolutely love the care I received and wish I had come sooner. Friendship Smiles has gained a new patient.

The dentist was quite good but my issue is with the client management. After my procedure, I was due to pay a cetain amount of money that was not being covered by my insurance due to the procedure type. I inquired at the reception on how they can assist me with documentation to file a claim with my other insurance company after payment. The only response I received is “Your payment is due today”. This was repeated to me severally and my question on assistance to enable me file my claim was ignored repeatedly. I was further told that the policy of the company does not allow. After I repeatedly informed her that I am paying and only require documentation to file a claim, the response was “Your payment is due today”.Kindly note, I had not indicated any refusal to make payment and I have made payments before that were not covered by the insurance without any issue or delay. After I made the payment, and informed her that my Family will no longer be retaining their services (my husband had an appointment coming up), she proceeded to say that there seems to be a misunderstanding. The fact that my simple query was completely ignored as it seemingly did not assist the practice and I was treated as if I have an issue paying left me feeling embarassed and upset. I am a respectable member of society and I feel its only fair going forward to take my business to people who can take 30 seconds to answer one simple query I have. Your practice got the cash I owe you as it should. But its unfair not to care enough to enable me file a claim with my insurance company. I am available to clarify where required

The doctors are great here! I was seen by Dr. Nawabi and she was nice and knowledgeable. I liked how everything was explained in detail. The staff are very professional, would definitely recommend to others!

Dr. Nawabi had excellent oversight on what was going on in her office. She demonstrated that she is an advocate for the patient both with respect to dental work as well as insurance issues.
