I’m so happy I chose Walnut Family Dentistry! The staff is not only friendly and inviting but Dr. Slaters talent is beyond anything I could have imagined possible. Before visiting Dr. Slater my front teeth were crooked and overlapping which caused spaces between my teeth. After seeing Dr. Slater he helped me achieve a perfect looking smile. I told him that I wanted natural looking veneers so no one would be able to tell and that’s exactly what he gave me! He helped enhance my smile without giving me fake looking teeth. Before I never smiled with my teeth but now I always do because I literally have PERFECT teeth! I also visited Dr. Slater to have my top wisdom tooth removed. I was a little nervous because no one likes having a tooth removed but it was the quickest and easiest experience ever. The best part was that It was completely PAIN FREE! It only took him maybe 5 minutes to get tooth out! If you’re looking for a great dentist go visit Dr. Slater! He cares about his patients and always put them first. It’s hard to find someone who takes the time to listen to their patients and give them the best quality of care possible based on their individual situations but Dr. Slater does exactly that!

Dr Mike and the girls were great! They made sure I was comfortable before doing the work I needed and then when they started he went slow to be gentle rather than fast and risk pain. Which I loved! I’d rather it take a little longe r to make sure it goes smoothly! I just started coming here and have already referred a couple people and will continue to do so! The whole team is great!!!! Thank you Dr Mike and ladies!!!! Highly highly recommend them!

I had just the BEST experience possible. Please allow me to share this with you. Over 2020 my teeth, mouth, gums, were all without dental care by an actual Dentist due to Covid-19. Yesterday, I realized that it was time to get a new dentist. I explored emergency dental practices and I knew that was not the solution I needed. I needed a new dentist with a great dental hygienist for muti cleanings throughout the remainder of this year. I have great insurance, but I needed my mouth looked at same day and I assumed that was impossible. I drove by Walnut Family Dentistry and decided the worst that could happen would be for them to tell me they were booked out 3 months and I would have to wait. Wow! Was i ever in for a wonderful surprise!! I walked in and was greated by a beautiful blonde at the front desk. Her name is Taylor, and as I explained my current situation to her the phone rang. We paused our conversation while she answered. She turned her attention back to me, and made me aware that the phone call she had just taken was a cancelation and the dentist could see me within an hour. I happily filled out the informational paperwork and prepared to see the dentist. Lydia, the adorable dental hygienist was ready and took me back to one of the clinical rooms for the x-rays and oral exam. She is just the kindest, sweetest person, and I immediately felt at ease by her demeanor and perky conversation. I can honestly say I felt no discomfort as she took the x-rays that have been painful at every other dentist I’ve been to. This dentist had very high tech, innovative new technology and after a few scans, Lydia was able to show me a touch screen view of my entire mouth. It was super cool!! The dentist then came in and did a very thorough exam, explaining EVERYTHING to me and showing me what we could do to correct some of the issues I was experiencing. That was all there was to it, I’m scheduled for treatment in the next 2 weeks and a cleaning later in July. They are such a busy clinic, but they welcomed me with professional open arms. I am so excited to have a new dental team. I want to rave to everyone about what a great experience I had. They have a solid 5 star review.

The best dental experience I’ve ever had! I decided to remove the silver fillings and replace with white (I had four). I am a nurse so After doing research I decided I did not want any mercury on my mouth. I received so much education, time and felt genuinely cared for! I am going back to have 2 more silver fillings switched out and crowns placed and the office staff have been AMAZING to work with! They are under new owners, so if you were coming to the location as previously known as Walnut Creek Dental you will be SO much happier with this Owner and Dentist who have no association with the old “Walnut Creek”.

Really impressed with the whole staff at today’s visit. Very nice & friendly people. I like that they didn’t do the whole “dear”, “hon”, fake sweet stuff! The dentist, Dr. Slater, was very helpful explaining why he didn’t wanted to do the work today that my previous dentist insisted I needed done!! I have a NEW dentist & am transferring my boyfriend over too!!

This is a great ‘FAMILY’ Dentist. Chelsea Wiggins,DDS has ‘cared’ for me for a number of years. I can honestly say that I NO LONGER dread going to the dentist… in fact I have made friends and leave the office feeling as though I have just hung out with ‘my Girlfriends’! Professionally? I had billing questions and actually left smarter – I now understand the processes the staff goes through for each patient in order to get (me) the best care possible from the Insurance Companies I pay premiums to. Choose this Dentist..and Office.

Awesome experience! For years I neglected going to get my dental exams and cleanings with a fear of dental offices. I decided to book a cleaning and exam with this dental office after reading all the wonderful reviews. I have to say they were absolutely true. Dr. Slater and his staff are so welcoming and awesome. The front desk was very accommodating and kind, his assistant was very knowledgeable and cheerful. She really made the entire process more relaxing and listened to any of my concerns. I went in to get a filling and chose to use the laughing gas to help with my anxiety and the entire process was absolutely painless (and affordable). Dr. Slater is amazing and his team is too, I can’t recommend them highly enough. Thanks for a great experience! I am no longer dreading my next dental appointment.

Dr. Michael Slater and the hygienists at Walnut Family Dentistry are truly exceptional. I recently stopped in for a crown procedure, which was actually the most intensive dental work I have had performed. I was nervous about the numbing needed to do the procedure, never have been a fan of shots. Michael and the hygienists understood my concern and made it an actual pain free experience for me even while not being sedated. I will return for future cleanings and check ups.
