PATIENT REVIEWS

Check out what some of our happy patients are saying about us:

★★★★★

My brother introduced me to Dr  Weimar and said he was a really good doctor for doing these implants. I’ve visited him at his office in Maple Grove and enjoyed the visit. He explained to me thoroughly about the possibilities of getting an implant or not getting an implant which I thought was great. We went over the cost and the procedures. Dr. Weimer is very thorough and has  a really pleasing tone to his voice . He’s very calm which is always reassuring at the dentist chair. I would suggest him and his staff to anyone.

★★★★★

Another great appointment! Dr Weimar redid a tooth I had work on last fall. The cold sensation would not go away (5-10 second of discomfort) He readdressed the situation which I remember clearly from the original procedure. I was prepared to pay something as more work was done and a crown was to be placed and he said it was taken care of. I have always found the staff to be friendly! Thank-you for caring for my and my families teeth 🙂 My husband and I are just very impressed at how all of you treat us like a person and not just a quota

★★★★★

I first sought out the Weimar Family Dentistry for the dental implants I needed. I was skeptical because their prices were half that of four other reputable bids I received. After my consultation with Dr. Weimar and his staff, every question was answered entirely about quality of materials and procedures. Two implants were installed with complete satisfaction. In twelve weeks my crowns will be installed. I’ll update after twelve weeks! Dr. Weimar and Staff are “First Class”! Ron J.

★★★★★

Dr. Weimar is wonderful! His staff is knowledgeable and capable. My experience with the dental work done for me was beyond satisfactory. It was in short – incredible. Dr. Weimar is gentle, considerate and professional in every aspect of the treatment. My procedure was lengthy, I spent close to two hours in the chair. I was informed of this so I was prepared. His assistant stayed with me nearly the entire time. Dr. Weimar had other patients to attend to but that allowed me ample breaks so I could close my mouth. Other dentists would put a contraption in my mouth to hold it open during a procedure, such as a root canal. After that I would end up with a migraine. Not with Dr. Weimar! I have had no migraine symptoms, not even a headache. For me, that is a miracle! I highly recommend Dr. Weimar and his staff. Patty w

★★★★★

I found the people at Weimer Dentistry to be friendly, welcoming and professional. It was my 1st visit and I immediately felt at home. My hygienist, Cherise, was thorough, patient and explained things that she was doing along the way. I have never had that kind of treatment but I sure enjoyed it! Dr. Weimar was also very good with me. I’ll be back!

★★★★★

Was my first time here by a referral. Staff was so courteous and friendly. Everyone greeted me with a smile. Tara H was filling in – she was amazing and so fun! Dr. Weimar was wonderful to talk to! They made me feel like I mattered and wasn’t just another patient. Can’t wait to go back. I would recommend this place to anyone!! 🙂 Great Job!

★★★★★

I would not hesitate to recommend Weimar Family Dentistry for implants especially. I did some research their prices are unbeatable less than my primary care provider. The staff was very courteous and professional. The procedures were explained, no hidden cost. If you are thinking about implants do yourself a favor and contact them you won’t be sorry. I don’t do many reviews  this one is well deserved.

★★★★★

The entire staff is super friendly. The entire front desk staff acknowledges when you arrive and when you leave. Great Atmosphere and clinic. Excellent dental hygienists with great attention to detail. Super thorough cleanings! Dr. Weimar is very personable and takes time with the kids. When I was there, he came out into the waiting room and showed a little girl who had pants with butterflies on them a picture of some cool looking large caterpillars. That was nice to see.

★★★★★

Had a consultation for sedation after a long time between dental visits. Everyone was very nice, made me comfortable, friendly to talk with, and were understanding. So glad I no longer put off going and feel very comfortable with the actual appointment when it gets scheduled. What a relief to not dread the experience anymore.

★★★★★

Dr. Weimar and his entire staff are absolutely wonderful. You’re not treated like a patient, you’re treated like friend. Always asking if you’re comfortable and always explaining everything they can to help you understand and relax during your time there. I, personally, am so pleased with the work they have done for me that I have referred my mother, 2 of my sisters, my girlfriend and family friend to them, as well as I take my 7 yr old son to them, for all our required and preventive dental needs.

★★★★★

After shopping around for dental people who know what implants are all about, I am sure glad I went in to see the folks at Weimar Family Dentistry. The whole outfit are pros ! Front desk, technicians, doctors are all individuals who “care” and in less than an hour, I had the info needed to decide on a course of action to correct the situation caused when a bridge I had for many years failed. My first appointment is set, the timing is right, and the price I can tolerate. Thank you Weimar Team !! Jerry W.

★★★★★

I found Dr. Weimar because I was looking for a good deal on an implant and I heard an ad on the radio. After hearing his pitch about the implant I discovered his quote was only a few dollars less than my own dentist (because it turned out I needed a bone graft due to bone loss). However, he won my business because it was obvious after meeting with him that he was an expert at implants – he had a ton of knowledge, experience, and all the fancy high-tech equipment too (I’m certain my own dentist didn’t have all that). So, I felt pretty safe in his hands. And not only did he do a great job, but he and his staff are very nice, friendly people as well. (Bonus: I always like the music playing overhead too, it puts me in a good mood.) I wish I could continue seeing him as my dentist but alas, he does not take my insurance. Booo.

★★★★★

What a VERY pleasant experience with Weimar Family Dentistry! My insurance was unwilling to cover my dental needs and I needed to be cost sensitive to my out-of-pocket cost for what I needed to have done. The quotes I received at other, less reputable dental clinics were astronomical! I found not only affordability at Weimar, but also some of the most caring, friendly, AMAZING staff I’ve ever interacted with at a dental office! Dr. Weimar himself has incredible “bedside manner.” Easy to converse with and a great sense of humor… which really puts those of us who cringe at going to the dentist at ease. I just wish their office wasn’t so far from where I live and that my insurance would cover them for all of my dental needs… I can’t recommend them highly enough!

★★★★★

I went in to find out more information on a tooth implant. I was pretty embarrassed because it’s a front tooth I am missing and I had to leave my flipper out for the appointment. They all were so friendly and didn’t treat me any differently. They were very informative when explaining what will need to be done, and answered any questions I had whether big or small. I really felt at home here! Highly recommend visiting them for your dental needs!

★★★★★

I felt very welcomed the moment I stepped into Dr. Weimar’s office. The staff was very helpful. On my path to healthy hygiene, I met with Gail who is the treatment coordinator. She explained in detail my ex-rays and options as discussed with Dr. Weimar.   I met Dr. Weimar and he was very professional in acknowledging my needs for healthy gums and teeth. I was very impressed by the treatment plan I received in my e-mail. I now know what will be accomplished regarding my visits and the cost associated with each visit.

★★★★★

Since moving to the area in July, I’ve had to visit the office three times. I’ve been impressed by them every time. Whether the front desk staff, the hygienist, the assistants or the doctors – they’re all so pleasant. Their treatment is quick and thorough, which is what everyone wants when visiting the dentist. They are all very accommodating- I listed to Pandora on headphone they offered while getting work done. I highly recommend!

★★★★★

“It will be the most boring 90 minutes you’ve spent in a dentist’s office” said my new dentist to me the other day. Flash back to Sunday when I woke up to that dull throbbing in my left rear tooth. the type that says “Hi, you’re in for a fun week.” It wasn’t too bad, and I ignored it most of Sunday while realizing that I was going to have to do something soon. Something being find and visit a dentist. By Sunday night, it was feeling worse, and sleep was hard to come by. Monday I got up, still in pain, but I had a full morning of conference calls. I started taking the calls, popped a couple of advil and by noon, it was feeling better, so I kept going. My Monday night, it was in full out torment mode with the entire bolivian army doing bayonet practice in my mouth. Sleep was even more fleeting on Monday night than Sunday. By 5am Tuesday morning, I was at my computer, on Angie’s List, looking for dentists that didn’t suck. The first one I came across was pretty close, in Maple Grove, named Weimar. The hours said they opened at 8AM, so at 8:01 i was on the phone to see if they could get me in. They actually did fit me in at 10am that morning, so off I went. First off, the staff is amazing. All friendly, and not once was I scolded for not having been to the dentist for ummm, ‘several’ years. They got me in pretty fast, did digital x-rays of my teeth, including a full 360 jaw shot in a machine that looked like it came out of Star Trek. Completing that, Dr. Weimar came in to take a look. As he was probing my mouth, he had the digital images up on a screen that I could see. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. He also avoided probing on my left rear because he knew that was sensitive. Props for that, prior dentists would have zeroed in on poking at that with the inane comment of “does that hurt?” After he finished checking, he let me know that indeed I would need a root canal as infection had gotten in from the fractured tooth. That was also when he promised it would be the most boring 90 minutes I could spend in a dentists office. After finding out that I travel a lot, he shuffled things to get me in today (Friday) for the procedure. In the meantime, he gave me some anti-biotics and Vicadin to kill the pain (mmm, Vicadin good). I popped those as soon as I got home, and within 30 minutes, the soldiers had vacated the mouth. Flash forward to today. My appointment was for noon, but I got a call at about 8:30 indicating he was ahead of schedule and I could come in at 11:10 if I liked. I did like, so I was there at 11:10 (and out by 12:20). I’d love to go into lots of gory detail about how miserable the experience was, but honestly, he was right. He numbed the area (I barely felt the needles), slipped a dam in, and went to work. No stress, no pain, very relaxed the entire time. Now that the local is wearing off, it’s a bit tender which is to be expected, but nothing a couple of Advil can’t handle. He indicated by the end of the weekend it would be no problems at all. So, where does this leave us? Will I go back? Hell yes. This was without a doubt the most relaxing dental experience I’ve had. The staff is wonderful, you can make your appointments online, and they can text you reminders. Oh, and when I left from my first appointment on Tuesday, they gave me a Starbucks gift card. How cool is that?

★★★★★

I have been extremely scared of the dentist for years (I have to get sedated).  The only dentist I will visit is Dr. Weimar…  He is the best and his staff are the most friendly, genuinely nice, caring people ever.  I refuse to go anywhere else and anytime anyone talks about the dentist I bring up how great they are. If you are looking for a dentist choose Dr Weimar, you won’t regret it!

★★★★★

I went in today for my 6 month cleaning and I must say WOW. Aditi was my hygienist and she was very gentle with my teeth. Don’t get me wrong I love everyone who has worked on my teeth at Wiemer they are all fantastic! I must say though Aditi went above and beyond with explaining the questions I had and in such a polite manner, she also gave me some great financial advice for getting my wisdom teeth out! In the 24ish years I have been going to Wiemer I’d say she was the best! Thank you Dr Wiemer and your team!!!

★★★★★

BEST DENTIST EVER! Weimar Family Dentistry is the only dentist I would ever go to. Dr. Weimar is skillful, patient, and the friendliest guy I know. His staff is fantastic! Always on top of the appointments and there to answer all my questions. Making me feel comfortable, and safe, in this world that typically is very stressful for me. I recommend them to everyone I encounter who is looking for a dentist!!!

★★★★★

I’ve been going to Weimar Family Dentistry for about two years now. To date, I have no complaints about any of my visits. Dr. Weimar is very personable (as is all of the staff I’ve encountered) and always takes the time to address any concerns or issues you might have. And my hygienist, Cherise, is amazing!! I have some sensitivity in one area of my mouth and she always takes the time to numb that area before she starts my cleaning. I love Dr. Weimar and his staff. NOTE: not sure why the review is showing me in San Francisco. I am in the Twin Cities area.

After about 5 years of complete neglect of my teeth outside of brushing and the random flossing I took the leap and made an appointment with a dentist I found in network with my insurance and in an area both close to home and work, it happened to be Weimar. At first I was scheduled for nearly a month out but was told that if a cancellation came in they would give me a call. Well guess what, within 2 hours a received a call and was scheduled for the very next day (probably a good thing or I would have ended up canceling my appointment due to fear). I showed up and everyone was so nice. My hygienist was AMAZING, sure she asked why it had been so long but other than that we discussed vacation plans (when the tools were not in my mouth) and she was very respectful to the amount of work i was making her go through to get my teeth clean. Seriously i thought i had issues! Issues that would result in a very expensive bill, yes i have a couple of things that need to be taken care of but after a good scrubbing I came out just fine. The Dentist is also amazing, after looking at my x-rays and my teeth he didn’t make me feel bad and told me what the next steps were. Seriously both the hygienist and dentist made me feel very comfortable and are the type of people i could sit and talk to in normal life.

★★★★★

i HATE going to the dentist, thanks to childhood trauma from a sadistic dentist. So going to the dentist as an adult has been an anxiety filled activity. Even cleanings are tough to handle. i am SO grateful to have found Weimar Family Dentistry. They can’t erase the trauma or make visits “fun”, but they can – and do – help ease my anxiety. They are patient, understanding, do not push me to do things i’m not comfortable with regarding treatment – they meet me where i am, emotionally, and help in any way they can to make me feel calm enough to tolerate the appointment. i will always be thankful that i took a chance and went in for a consultation – their kindness and compassion are so appreciated. Dr. Weimar and his staff are the best!

I just can’t say enough how awesome this dental office is. I got six implants. From my very first phone call to my last visit everyone in that office made me feel more like a friend than a patient. My implants turned out awesome it has changed my life!! No more smiling with my mouth closed or worrying when talking to someone they are going to notice I have missing teeth. Thank you so much Weimar Family Dentistry 🙂

06/02/2021 – again the staff and Dr Weimar gave me a pleasant experience. I can’t remember my mouth feeling this good. 09/24/2020 – update Came in for a root canal and the experience was more pleasurable than I expected. Dr Weimar is a true expect and professional. His sssustance was very helpful and comforting. Thank you Very experienced hygienist. I came in for implants and had all my questions answered. Patient Services Linda, was very kind and helpful. Dr Weimar was very informative and found other discrete issues with my teeth. I’m glad I came here

I’ve been going to Doctor Weimar since 1984. Cannot imagine having a different dentist or a better dental hygienist than Jackie. Every time I visit, I feel like I’m at a family reunion. Since moving to NW WI 11years ago, I’ve been making a 2.5 hour (one way) trip to see Doc Weimar & Jackie on a regular basis. Why not? It’s like going to a family reunion while keeping up good dental hygiene. Plus where else can I get a dentist with 30+ years of caring for my teeth.

★★★★★

This was my second visit in as many months and as with the first visit, I wonder why I waited 15 years since my last visit to a dentist. Oh, I remember, that dentist office was not this one. Today was another fabulous experience. Each person I’ve met at the practice is truly professional and expert in their area of expertise. Weimar Family Dentistry … I am your patient

I grew up hating going to the dentist, and had a lot of issues over the years, to the point where I feared going to the dentist so much that I stopped going to a dentist for about 10 years. Then when I had some serious issues, and was in need of immediate care, I found Weimar Family Dentistry. After 2 sedation visits and a ton of work, I was back in business and everything current. I have been going to Weimar DDS regulary ever since, and I no longer fear going to the dentist. I would highly recommend Weimer DDS! Best ever!

★★★★★

Best dental experience(s) ever. I’m almost embarrassed at the amount of time I’ve spent with the Doc and his staff these past 5 years. They understand the insurance side better than I do and have helped me maximize by benefits. The Doc established a treatment plan and I am more than pleased with the results. They treat me like I’m a VIP. 5 stars +++

★★★★★

I searched many practices to find an office and staff that felt comfortable and showed interest in my situation from the outset. Dr. Weimar met me on my first visited and provided a free analysis of my dental needs right away. His work to resolve my need for a dental implant was painless and he quickly on a plan to provide the care I needed. Top Notch dental work!

★★★★★

I always joke with the front desk staff when I receive the text messages saying “we are looking forward to your appointment with us”, because I mean seriously who looks forward to the dentist. While I don’t look forward to the risk of needing additional work, I can say Dr. Weimar is the only dentist I’ve been to in the 8 1/2 years I’ve lived in MN and between him and Jackie as a hygienist, I’ve been extremely satisfied in my choice!

I’ve been with Dr. Wimar for many years, and I’m DEATHLY afraid of the dentist! I usually am sedated when I get any kind of work done on my teeth. Yesterday for the first time in probably 8 years I didn’t get sedated I only had the gas, and all I can say is Unbelieveable, This was probably the best experience I’ve had with a dentist in 40 years.Being very agitated they made me feel very calm after giving me the gas, they talked me through the whole procedure, the assistant was amazing. I’d recommend anyone who needs a dentist. Love the whole team. Thanks Kimberly

Over the weekend I developed pretty serious tooth pain. Linda worked me into the schedule by 11am Monday morning. Lara took an xray and scan and Dr Weimar determined the issue and got me on antibiotics to combat the infection until a root canal can be completed this week. The entire staff went above and beyond!! Thank you!

I have been scared of the dentist for as long as I can remember, so much so that it has kept me from getting the work that I needed done for several years. About a year and a half ago I looked up the first dentist that I could find and went, I was in terrible pain on account of a tooth that was apparently going through it’s final death throws. I was told by the dentist that the tooth was dead and infected and that it would need to be extracted. At this point I decided to let him try, mind you by this point I was in full on panic mode and my heart was racing at about a million miles per hour. We went through the normal steps, local anesthetic, big scary tools that were going to apply “pressure”. When the fun began it didn’t take long for me to realize that I could still feel pain, I will admit that I was probably hypersensitive due to my state of mind but it was pain and it hurt. I recall the dentist getting frustrated with me because I was wincing, eventually he gave up and sent me home with a prescription of antibiotics and told me to make another appointment, that never happened. Fast forward a year and a half and the dreaded day of reckoning came, the tooth that I had been in for previously had broke, and not just chipped, the whole side came off of it (on a piece of pizza of all things). I immediately went in to panic mode, started searching for sedation dentistry in the twin cities area and found Weimar Family Dentistry. They were able to assess my pain level (which wasn’t much, just freaked out by half of my tooth missing) and set a schedule as soon as they could which was a few days out. When I went in I found myself with a very familiar sense of panic, going to the dentist for me is really a primal fear, I cannot explain nor control it. I was greeted by a nice lady at the front who took my information and asked me to have a seat. about 10 tense minutes passed, anxiously waiting for that door to open, and then my time came. Normally this is where I would go straight in to the dentist chair surrounded by screens, tools, and the light (of my nightmares), but instead my fears were disarmed by a one on one in an office, I was sat down, asked questions about my situation in the most non-judgmental and friendly way possible. I cannot stress how important this was to me, i’m not sure if this was an intentional tactic but it really helped curb that initial anxiety, like a whole lot. I was introduced to Dr. Weimar who is as friendly as they get, he broke the ice with casual conversation and then proceeded to examine my mouth, I was also given x-rays by the staff. When the appointment was done I was sent home with antibiotics to curb the pain that had started to grow, I was also (and this was huge for me too) shown my x-rays and told why the antibiotics would help, it really did show me that knowledge, or lack there of, is a large source of my anxiety. A few weeks later and my big day had arrived, I was given an oral sedative to take one hour before the appointment which I took. At this point things get a little hazy, they also gave me a drug to inhibit short term amnesia to block out the negative memory of the experience. What I can say is this, I do recall being aware of my surroundings at time though I really did feel like I was sleeping and it may have just been me periodically waking up. I do recall the dreaded sound of “power tools” in my mouth as I had other work being done as well but I remained relaxed the entire time. my appointment was from 8 AM to 12 PM (ended up being a bit longer) and I felt like I was only there for maybe 30 minutes tops. I was sent home with post care instructions, antibiotics, pain medication, and an enormous sense of relief that I had finally gotten this, amongst other things, done. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, especially to those who have dental anxiety like myself. Regardless of the work that needs to be done, the oral sedation is relatively inexpensive and allowed me to sit in a dentist chair for 5 hours without a care in the world. I never write reviews online and felt compelled to write this on account of how stellar the patient care and overall experience was (all things considered). If you need work done but cant bring yourself to go sit in the chair, give these guys a call, you wont regret it.
