Best dental experience I’ve ever had! I’d rate Urban Smiles higher than 5 stars if possible. Dr. Jin and staff are super friendly and the office is clean and modern. Plus you can watch Netflix in the chair as an added bonus! I just had X-rays and a routine cleaning/exam at my first appointment here, but the process was unbelievably quick with zero discomfort. I used to dread going to the dentist but not anymore!

Really got to down to business. I was in and already taking X-rays and then he’s telling me about my cavities that I didn’t know I had and breaking down how to approach them along with other problems. I was in and out with actual work down and I felt like it was a day accomplished.

I’ve been to see Dr. Maeng twice in the past 3 months and have had a fantastic experience both times.  I went first in June 2020 for a general semi-annual cleaning, and both Dr. Maeng and his staff were excellent: cordial, congenial, patient, thoughtful, and willing to answer all of my questions (I usually have a lot).  I had 3 cavities which Dr. Maeng filled and sealed – excellent job – have not had any issues in the past 3 months so far.  After my cleaning, I emailed Dr. Maeng to ask him for a dental rinse / mouthwash recommendation and he replied quickly with a very comprehensive answer.  I’ve since followed his recommendation and am pleased with my new mouthwash.  I went in to see Dr. Maeng for the second time in mid September 2020 because I had pain and swelling in my upper right gums / roof of mouth, likely due to hot and crunchy foods I had eaten the prior week.  I wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything serious or complicated.  Dr. Maeng took me as a walk-in, inspected the site of injury, provided his diagnosis, and answered my questions about the implications, all at no charge.  He instructed me to rinse with warm salt water and come back in 1+ week if it hadn’t resolved or started to subside.  I’m fully recovered and very thankful to Dr. Maeng for his expert advice and willingness to help.  This guy is spectacular: smart, knowledgeable and caring.  I’d recommend him to all of my family and friends in a heartbeat.  Oh, and the office is new, clean and tech-advanced.

After moving to a chicago I put off finding a new dentist for a long time, but I’m so glad I finally ended up getting around to it and picking this place! I was a little nervous or hesitant the staff, high tech equipment, and overall atmosphere made it a great experience. I ended up needing cavities filled, and they were super efficient and quick. The dentist walked me through everything and made everything he was doing clear.

Just went today and I’m a huge fan! The staff is so friendly. Miriam greets you once you come in the door, Chris does a very thorough job as your tech with x-rays and cleaning (explaining every step!) And Dr. Jin is very personable and takes time to go through all the details of any issues with you. Very clean, brand new office. Super convenient location. I don’t drive but if you do, there’s a ton of parking. Highly recommend!

Dr. Jen and Chris were wonderful. I expressed that I have a serious fear of the dentist. Both were patient with me. They answered all of my questions. When I showed nerves Dr. Jen stopped to make sure that I was fine as well as make sure there was no pain. I highly recommend Urban Smiles Dental. The practice treats the patient first.

I scheduled an initial cleaning and preventive visit here after a lapse in dental care due to being uninsured and I was very pleased with my experience. The office is very clean with a minimalistic style and I appreciated the air purifier in the waiting room. The dental hygienist charged with my care was excellent and the whole intake process was very smooth. Dr. Maeng was an excellent provider that explained all of the X-Ray findings and management decisions clearly and thoroughly. As a healthcare provider myself I was impressed by his bedside manner and steady hand that made a few years of deferred dental maintenance as smooth and painless of an ordeal as possible. I wholeheartedly recommend receiving dental services at Urban Smiles Dental.

The staff at this office are all very professional. They take proper Covid precautions and the office is very clean. The dentist himself exams and cleans your teeth so you know he is doing a great job. He explains any concerns he has and listens to yours. They let you watch Netflix while you’re sitting in the chair but you’re in and out anyway!

I want to thank Dr. Jin and his team. I was received immediately with a appointment, when most surgeons wanted 4-6 weeks wait time. I feel very appreciated that Dr. Jin squeezed me in his schedule. I had to remove a tooth because of tooth decay and wisdom teeth. 3 in total, out of 5 that I need to remove. Thank you Dr. Jin, you are highly recommended and very professional.

I had the best dental experience in my life with Dr. Maeng. I initially came in for my wisdom tooth extraction, however, with his on-site thorough x-ray machine, he identified another serious issue with my other tooth as well. I ended up having to pull out two teeth, however, he provided me with very detailed explanation as well as expectations and a healing process. He even turned on my fav show on Netflix to calm my nerves. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone. Everyone is nice, attentive and most importantly considerate of your time and feelings!

I went to Dr. Jin for the first time and I had to have an emergency procedure and he was the best dentist I have been to. I have some health issues and he was super gentle and made sure I was doing okay throughout the entire procedure. He followed up with me the text day, which you don’t usually get from a Doctor/Dentist. I would recommend Dr. Jin to everyone if I could! 10/10.

I had one of the best experience for dentist visit at Urban Smiles Dental. Staffs were very friendly. Receptionist and the assistant welcomed me and made me feel at ease.The office was spotless and has the latest technology/equipment. Dr. Maeng’s bedside manner was superb. He explained my condition with great detail with with images. He then provided me with several options and clearly explained the pros and cons. Very positive experience at a dentist office and would highly recommend Urban Smiles Dental.

Guys, to preface this I have gone to my share of dentists over the course of my brief yet cavity riddled life. The office is modern and comfortable. There is Netflix to distract you and all the things to ease the process of having your teeth worked on. You don’t leave with wet hair or an uncomfortable bite. I give this dentist five stars.

Front office staff was very friendly and communicative. They were able to pull my forms from Zocdoc, which a lot of offices don’t bother to do. Chris was very kind and gentle during X rays and set up. Dr. Jin was also very communicative and kind. They were very understanding when i needed to take breaks and made me as comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend this office.

I went to urban smiles for my regular check up yesterday. oh man, this office is so modern and beautiful. Staff were awesome too, made me feel so comfortable whole time. Dr. Maeng did my fillings and he was very thorough and gentle.I did not feel a thing. Can’t wait for my next appointment. thank you urban smiles!

I was able to book an appt for the same day through Zocdoc. The office is beautiful, everything looks super clean and new. I ended up needing to get five fillings. Dr. Maeng and his dental assistant were both great! They very clearly explained everything they were doing, worked quickly and the procedure was nearly painless. Definitely recommend!
