Absolutely exceptional service from the time I walked in the door to when I left. I appreciated Julia at the front desk who was so kind and welcoming. And Remy did such a wonderful job on my partial it absolutely fit perfect. And of course doctor Miyasaki s always gentle kind and patient. thank you all for such wonderful service.

10/02/2020 Let me start by saying that I have been terrified of The Dentist my entire life. Years ago I had a terrible experience with a dentist in Kailua who told me it was “not possible”  for me to be feeling the pain that I was feeling as I white-knuckled the chair and tried to breathe through the pain. My lack of dental insurance coupled with my fear of dentists has kept me out of the chair and led to my having serious dental problems. After days of pain and not being able to eat or sleep, I literally could not take the pain anymore.  So as soon as they opened I called to see if they would see me. I was told to come in to their office so off I went worried, in pain, and not even sure if I could financially afford to stop the pain. The reason for this review is to let anyone, who may be similarly situated, know that Dr. David Miyasaki is different and you can honestly Trust him. His staff is different and they genuinely care. I mean real Malama real Kokua not just Waha kine. I mahalo Ke Akua for bringing me to Dr. Miyasaki and I Mahalo Dr. Miyasaki and his team for not only taking the pain away and working with me but for giving me hope that I’ll be able to someday smile again. So in conclusion, if your not thankful for your dentist its because you don’t have this team, and I’m just thankful because now I do.

Thanks billion for surprise ( Dr.David ) making  a wish for temporary  . Nevertheless thought meet a dentist could convince me look at package deal  regardless, It’s just amazing feeling going have complete dentures that promise will eat burger with pleasure as “Hawaiimukbang96706″ everyone thought was joking ” it’s really true found their advertisement in yellow page “

Dr. David has been my dentist for about three years now. He takes the time to explain what he’s doing, give options, and the pros and cons of the options. He shows care for his patients and genuine interest in ensuring you have good oral health. I had a bad experience with another dentist on island who I had a lot of fillings done with. Less than a year later there was pain with the fillings and while the bad dentist told me it was gum infection, when I decided to get a second opinion from David, found out that it was a broken filling that needed replacement. I’ve since had two other cracked fillings from the bad dentist that he fixed as well.

I know I needed a lot of dental work and was kind of nervous about hearing all the treatment options from Dr. David Miyasaki. To Dr. David Miyasaki’s credit, he took the time to clearly explain everything and made me feel more relaxed. Bottom line is we came up with a plan of action. I left the office in a better space than when I came in.

I can’t tell you how ecstatic I was when I left Dr. Miyasaki’s office, I went in in the morning & left within a couple hours with a completely new smile that same day . I felt no pain at all after the procedure, Dr. Miyasaki and his staff made me feel so comforted and reassuring that I had nothing to worry about, & they were right, each and everyone of the staff in office has so much care and compassion for every individual that walks through there front door. that I would recommend anybody with High anxiety , or who are just traumatized with visits to the dentists , like I was. To Definitely go down to Dr. Miyasaki’s office and experience it for yourself. You’ll be completely satisfied that you did, you’re in the best hands. I finally feel like I have a second shot in getting my life back together, I now have the confidence that I once had before. All thanks to you Dr. Miyasaki, you are the antidote to my fear of trips to the dentists office.

Yelp 31 days Challenge: 11 of 31 I have been going to Dr. Miyasaki’s office since I moved to Hawaii. He has always been very kind and the reception staff is super friendly. I am writing this review for my recent cleaning experience. I called last minute, and they gave me Verna as my dental hygienist. She had never worked on me before, so I was a little wary because I have sensitive gums. She meticulously looked at my chart to make sure she had all things in order including examining my previous x-rays, and then started on my cleaning. She started by polishing my teeth first; typically, the polishing is done last, but it totally makes sense to polish them first. She then applied a topical numbing cream to make the experience more comfortable. I was thinking, “uh-oh” this is not going to be good. The whole experience was pain free, and my teeth were the cleanest they have ever been after a typical cleaning. Verna made them sparkle. Dental hygienists usually send me on my merry way to the front desk to make my next appointment, but Verna scheduled my next appointment as I am sitting there. Check out was a breeze. Great customer service all around.

The staff was very personable and helpful as soon as I walked in the door. The Dental assistant was excellent. I felt so much relief knowing that I was going to be given the best care. I have a Dental Phobia and my anxiety was diminished immediately. Dr. Miyasaki is an angel. Professional, calm, understanding. I am SO happy I found him. I am recommending him to Everyone I know.

My wife and I’s original experience with Downtown Dental Group was not great to be honest. Our initial appointment was supposed to be a simple teeth cleaning and we ended up spending 2.5 hours at the office getting xrays we didn’t ask for and being told that we had a lot of problems with our teeth that we would have to schedule a follow up appointment to discuss. Enter Dr. Miyasaki- Extremely kind man and owner of the business with empathy for our situation. He spent the whole weekend trying to get in touch with us to make the situation right. I was extremely impressed that he remembered who I was and my personal situation based on a photograph my mother showed him of when I lived in Okinawa 4 years ago. Looking forward to rescheduling our teeth cleaning and consultation with him directly. My biggest feedback point here is to ask for Dr. Miyasaki when you book your appointment with Downtown Dental Group or at the very least be EXTREMELY specific and over communicate what you hope to get out of your appointment. I’m not sure what his availability is like but I can imagine that had we originally asked specifically to be seen by him or been advocates for ourselves, we would not have had such a rocky first experience with Downtown Dental Group. My sincerest thanks to Dr. Miyasaki for taking time out of his weekend to address our concerns with a phone call. 5 star customer service and exactly the kind of local business I want to be supporting.
