Amazing! When I first walked in the office, “Wow!” was the first word that came to my mind. It is very beautiful and calming to be there and definitely calmed my nerves about going to the dentist. It has just a very peaceful overtone. Also, each patient gets their own individual, private room where they get whatever dental work/treatment they need so others can’t hear what treatment they may need during a consultation (or hear the scary, annoying, and high-pitched sound of instruments from another room). It just makes everything so much calmer when you’re there! Plus, it pretty much reduces cross-contamination (compared to an open room between two patients) which is a huge plus for me as a huge germaphobe!!! On top of all of that, Dr. Zakhour is so experienced, nice and very detailed during consultations and throughout the treatment itself! Overall, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for my dental work. What a wonderful practice!

I went to her after my usual dentist ran out of ideas for what could be causing my tooth pain, and Dr. Z took her time to explain all possible options for what could be going on. I am a dental patient with SEVERE anxiety when it comes to the dentist, I hadn’t been to a dentist in almost 10 years. I finally had the worst toothache and called A to Z dental studio, Dr. Zakhour worked with me regarding my anxiety and she calm me down (when I say SEVERE anxiety I mean it), and she walked me through each procedure. They allow you to listen to your headphones to drown out the noise but continue to check on you throughout each procedure. They are non-judgmental, kind, and make you feel welcome. They take after hours calls and have Saturday appointments. They truly are amazing.

Couldn’t tell ya… Now it is, thanks to A to Z Dental Studios Rather than fret over how much my next appointment will cost me, I spend more time thinking about a future on daytime television. Sure, Dr. Hiba offers the flexibility of a public defender while providing a specialized experience handling oral surgery and maxillofacial reconstructive procedures. I do recommend A to Z Dental Studio! I know I have lots of friends out in the Fairfax area and let me tell you, I drove from Alexandria to Fairfax for Dr. Zahkour! She is a very honest dentist and she is obviously very well educated. I have been to other dentists and I go regularly, and I often have been to older dentists with I would guess 30+ years of experience. These other dentists have looked at my Xrays and knew they were looking at teeth but couldn’t see and differentiate my jaw in panoramic X-rays. I told Dr. Zahkour about some of my history (I have a really strange bone structure on the left side of my jaw socket) and she was able to spot it right away. I have had many dentists recommend sealant for my molars and she was honest and told me only one tooth needed it instead of saying all 8 back molars needed it. It was one of the most comfortable dental cleanings ever, Dr. Zahkour and her assistant, Patricia, were so gentle and attentive. I literally had zero discomfort or pain during my cleaning and I don’t recall ever having had a dental cleaning that was as comfortable. It didn’t hurt or cause any sensations that were outright unpleasant. (Nobody ever really likes a cleaning right? I mean I like them because I feel it is an essential self-care service, almost like getting a facial or cutting your hair or whatever beauty treatment… for me teeth are the same, taking care of your teeth is part of taking care of yourself!) Also, A to Z Dental Studio prices are VERY reasonable and on top of her good prices, she offers a dental plan provided by her practice (and it’s cheaper than insurance premiums!) and it covers all the routine visits and services as well as the visit for a dental emergency- so if you have tooth pain or some other emergency, the office visit to assess your dental emergency. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Dr. Hiba Zakhour grew up in Fairfax County. In 2012, Dr. Zakhour received her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University. As a dental student, she volunteered with several organizations such as Give Kids A Smile and participated in oral cancer walks. Dr. Zakhour continued to pursue her passion for dentistry by joining a general practice residency program at Coler-Goldwater Hospital in New York City, where she received training in several areas of cosmetic dentistry including implants, veneers and Invisalign. Dr. Zakhour is a standing member of the American Student Dental Association and the American Dental Association. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Zakhour likes to travel, play sports, and watch movies with her family and friends
