Great dentist, but the front office needs some customer service training. The two referrals and my husband won’t be going back because of them, but I just love Dr. Gerson so much I put up with it. Posting this review in hopes that the office sees it and makes some changes, although I know they have been working there for some time, so that may not happen. Shame, because its such a great place.

Been going to Dr. Gerson ever since I was a little, and I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. The staff is very professional and you get a sense they work great as a team. The office is awesome. It’s in what was once an old MB apt. downtown. It hasn’t changed in years and reminds me of people’s houses I would go to. Anyways, I never felt he has recommended things I do not need, and when I did need a root canal, referred me to an outstanding entodontist (?) locally. May charge a bit more, but I wouldnt ever think of skimping on my health. After a good cleaning, you can go drown your mouth in pancakes and syrup at Uncle Bills next door.

Dr. Gerson is, honestly, the best dentist I have ever been to. He’s caring, patient, and kind, and he has a wonderful “chairside” manner that puts even the most anxious of patients (me) at ease. Dr. Gerson truly cares about his patients. The best example I can give is that I was in an accident that required some weekend attention from him. He took my phone call on a late Friday afternoon, called in prescriptions for me that evening, and came in for four hours on a Saturday morning to take care of me. We later found out that it was his anniversary, which just shows how caring and compassionate he is. I can’t recommend Dr. Gerson or his staff enough.

Dr. Gerson has been my dentist for close to 25 years and I cannot imagine getting better care anywhere else. Dr. Gerson is a true professional and you absolutely trust that whatever he recommends is the best solution. He has a calm demeanor and goes out of his way to make sure you experience as little discomfort as possible – starting in the waiting lounge where they won’t keep you waiting more than five minutes. The front desk staff and hygienists are always very friendly and professional, and if you have any dental work done – besides cleaning – Dr. Gerson will call you at the end of the day to make sure you are doing okay. Overall, a textbook example of a good dental practice.

Dr Gerson has been my local dentist for 7 years now. His office is located in the VERY charming downtown Manhattan Beach area a block from the beach. The cool ocean air, and sea views makes the dentist visit a calming and relaxing experience. What makes this business 5 stars is the staff. Norma is always so friendly, and the hygienists are very good. Dr Gerson is super nice, and I trust his skills. They are on-time with their appointments, and I’ve never had an issue with waiting too long. This is a real plus!!

I really like Dr. Gerson and his staff and have been going to his office for a few years. It was hard to leave my previous dentist in the valley, but I got tired of the commute. Dr Gerson has an excellent bedside manner and is so calming ( had bad experience as a child). He makes sure that I am properly numbed before any procedure which lessens my anxiety. All of the hygienists that I have used are so thorough. I mean they get everything when I go for a cleaning. The office staff is so nice and cheerful too. I never have to wait more that 5 minutes for an appointment.The practice has quite a few hygienists, so I never have to wait long to schedule a cleaning The office is located in Downtown Manhattan beach with plenty of metered parking. Being a former Suba Diver, I especially like the underwater photos that decorate the office (which were taken by Dr. Gerson). I am very happy here and would not go anywhere else

The office seemed very clean and many Covid precautions were in place, including spacing out appointments to limit the number of patients being in the office at the same time. I have been coming to Dr. Gerson since we moved here in 2007 and my family for years before that. Today, I had a tooth pain over the weekend and came in this morning. They took a quick xray to see what they could see of the tooth and found nothing and refered me to to an Endodontist. Sadly, it was root canal time. Dr. Gerson was not in this morning but his wonderful staff took care of me. I just got a phone call six hours after my root canal was done from Dr. Gerson himself to follow up and see how I was doing. You don’t see that kind of care and compassion in the medical field anymore. How anyone can give bad ratings to him and his staff is beyond me. Feels very small town and I love it.

He really cares about his patients; if I ever have a procedure done, he personally calls to see how I’m doing the next day. He put a crown in for me over 15 years ago and it’s still in perfect condition. Many of the folks on his staff have been with him for many years. The quality of service is fantastic!! I love his location in DTMB too. So close to to beach and close to many cute boutiques and great restaurants if you want/need some place to go after!

Dr Gerson and his staff are AMAZING! I’ve been going there for about 10 years – always easy, always professional. I am the first to say that I’m not a big fan of going to the dentist. I go regularly because it’s better that the alternative. Dr Gerson has made me less afraid. He is gentle, kind and very reassuring. Sari is my hygienist and she’s lovely. They have made the overall dental experience so much more pleasant. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice.

Been going to Dr. Gerson on and off for about 15 years. Only reason it has been on and off is because I have moved out of the area. Dr. Gerson is BY FAR the best dentist I have ever had. He and his staff treat you so well. When I was living in OC I had a dentist there that was always trying to upsale my services. That was weird. Dr. Gerson always calls to see how I’m feeling after a cleaning since I am a big baby. Also, I have NEVER had to sit in the waiting area more than 5 minutes after I arrive! Oh, and they will fill your meter if your appointment is taking longer than you expected.

As a patient of Dr. Gerson, I recently had an accident on a Thursday evening while out of state on business, leaving me with half of a front tooth! I called his office at 1 o’clock in the morning and left a message about my situation. Within 3 minutes I received a call was talking on the phone with Dr. Gerson! The office was supposed to be closed on that particular Friday but he and his incredible staff completely changed their schedules to get me in and I was fixed up within 12 hours of speaking on the phone with him from Texas! All I can say is “WOW”!! It doesn’t get any better than that.
