I am terrified of dentists. And I had a botched root canal almost 3 years before and saw 2 other dentist before I went to see them. It is HARD to find an honest dentist these days. Especially when you don’t have dental insurance. We do, however, have a Careington dental discount plan, and Accent Dental is pretty much the only dentist in Frisco who takes it. With Careington it’s extremely reasonably priced. That is how we first found Dr. Nelson Wu over a year ago, and I’m so happy we did. The storefront of Accent Dental is nondescript, in the same shopping center as Norma’s and Fruitealicious on Gaylord near Stonebriar Mall. It’s a clean facility. I’ve never had to wait for an appt to start (although I tend to book my appointments first thing in the morning, which I’m sure helps). Each dental suite has comfortable chairs, and they play a slideshow of soothing imagery on a flat screen TV across from you while you get worked on. Very relaxing, considering the circumstances. Dr. Wu is super nice, and his staff is good. He puts you at ease and ALWAYS does your cleaning himself. He never recommends a procedure that’s not needed. He is just an honest dentist doing his job and not trying to steal your money. He’s pretty chatty but it’s refreshing, not annoying. If you’re looking for an honest dentist in Frisco, give this place a try!

Dr. Wu always provides excellent customer service whenever I bring my son in to see him. I’ve sat there and watch Dr. Wu give my son a shot in his gums so that he could fill in one of his cavities. Dr. Wu is a fantastic dentist! I’m so happy to have found him, after having bad experiences with some other local dentists. Dr. Wu is very honest, quick and has a great personality. He and his staff take great care of their patients! I won’t look for another dentist, he is the best!!! I cracked a tooth and he was able to fix me up in no time. There was no pain, and no “extra” work that needed to be done. He put on a temporary crown, that I couldn’t even tell was there. It was just like my regular t. I’ve cracked other teeth, and my previous dentist never had the crowns feel right in my mouth, not to mention they would keep me in the office several hours at a time. When I moved here from Florida a year ago, I was very apprehensive about having to find a new dentist. I had a great dentist in Florida, and I was afraid I wouldn’t find a dentist here that I’d like, and one with whom I could build a relationship based on confidence and trust. I have a friend who has a beautiful smile, and I asked her if she’d recommend her dentist, and she said, “Absolutely! Dr. Nelson Wu is the best!” I called Dr. Wu’s office and explained my dental issue, and his very capable staff got me in right away. As soon as I met him, I knew I was in capable hands. He’s kind, considerate, and he has perfect teeth (a good sign!). He did a complete exam and put together a recommended treatment plan, which he shared with me in detail, and we got started right away. I’m really pleased so far! The work he’s done on my front teeth is beautiful and I have a movie star smile once again. I’m happy to recommend Dr. Wu and his staff! By the way, to those of you who are afraid of the “shots”, I never felt any of mine. Now if I could only find a hairdresser…

Dr. Wu and his staff are personable and professional. They are very flexible in scheduling appointments and working with your insurance (if you carry it). Dr. Wu works hard to make sure your visit is as pleasant and pain free as possible. I just got home and can’t stop smiling because I had such an amazing experience! I have a resistance to the regular dental anesthesia which always results in excruciating pain at dental visits every single time… but not this time! I just moved here from California and my family and I have been desperately trying to find a good dentist. Luckily I contacted Accent Dental since my neighbor had recommended Dr. Wu. During this difficult time, I was lucky to be able to get an appointment for a filling and other issues with my teeth. Christa from Accent Dental had been so helpful from the moment I contacted the office. I arrived for my appointment and met with Christa. I must say the office is really cozy and warm. I love that it’s right near Super Target and all the yummy restaurants! Now that alone is very convenient for me. Christa was very friendly and helpful. My family and I have been going to Accent Dental for several years now. They are FANTASTIC. We are promptly greeted and in our seats within a few minutes. We were in and out of there with three cleanings in just over an hour… where else does that happen. The office is VERY nice. Dr. Wu has nice TV’s in every room and uses them to not only work on you, but show you exactly what is going on with your teeth. More than all of that Dr. Wu is amazing to be around. He is fun and quite the character. We talk about family (his and mine), vacations, crazy stuff happening around the city, all sorts of stuff. He is just a blast to be with.
