Dr. Zuckerberg and her staff are kind and personable, and still focused on their jobs and very professional. Going to the dentist has always made me extremely anxious, but I feel good at this office. I take my son there as well, and they put him at ease. They are out of network, but it’s worth the copay for me.

We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Zuckerberg four years ago. She is so pleasant and highly professional and her hygienist/receptionist Janetta really goes an extra 10 miles to help with scheduling. We’ve referred friends to Dr. Z and they also report a great experience. I would say they define the term “patient-centered.”

My whole family has been seeing Dr Zukerberg for more than 15 years! She is so gentle with her equipment that my kids don’t even know they are getting shots! The doctor is always willing to discuss the options and give her honest opinion on what’s the best cost/quality approach. She is on top of the newest techniques and uses the best materials (BPA free sealants, for example). She and her staff are really friendly and helpful.

I was planning to wait after a couple more visits to confirm that she’s awesome, but due to the serious lack of medical reviews on Yelp, I felt compelled to do this now: I highly recommend Dr. Zuckerberg and her office staff. As others have noted, the office e-mails your appointment confirmation. You also do not have to wait long. Your appointment time is 100% legit; you will not be sitting around twidling your thumbs or having to read ancient magazines. Beyond that, I had a thorough examination of my teeth and gums, received a great cleaning, and a clear, concise explanation of my “dental condition”. I am very happy to have found Dr. Zuckerberg and can only hope my quest to find a general practioner ends as successfully.

I’ve been going to Dr. Z for years. She is very thorough and gentle, genuine and caring. Friendly and efficient staff. State of the art modern equipment – something you might not expect walking into an office located in historical DC row house. Modern way to run business, with respect for your time – appointments reminded of in advance via email, the wait is never longer than 15 minutes. Added bonus – you get a chance to catch up with your Netflix watch list – in the chair, while Dr. Z is working on your teeth.

I have been to probably 6-7 dentists in the last ten years (I move a lot), and this is by far my favorite.  The dentist actually cleans your teeth (rather than the dental assistant) and spends a lot of time with you explaining what she is doing and how your teeth are looking.  She is incredibly nice and works efficiently and quickly.  They are really good about working things out with your insurance, and have never over-charged me or tried to get me to purchase services I don’t need.

I’ve had so many lousy dentists and you won’t go wrong here. I go to them despite the fact that they are out of network on my dental plan (Lisa needs braces) because it’s a shockingly pleasant experience, free of judgment or dubious practices. You really feel that Dr. Zukerberg earnestly cares about her patients and the goal of her treatment is your wellness, not her next yacht. Today she went the extra mile with an extremely deep cavity of mine that another dentist might have written off as a root canal. Not only did she get the job done, she kept fine tuning the filling until my bite was just right. And even though it took a long time, I was able to have a good time watching Netflix all the while. My teeth are eternally grateful to her care!

I was visiting Washington DC on vacation and I had a tooth problem.  I liked the reviews I read on Yelp for this dentist, and when I called, Dr. Zuckerberg saw me right away.   She was gentle, careful, and very good at explaining her procedures during the exam.   Fortunately, I did not need anything serious.   The whole visit, including x-ray was very reasonable and less that what I pay for a teeth cleaning at my regular dentist on the West Coast.   Highest recommendation.

I’ve never written a review on Yelp before, but people need to know how great Dr. Zukerberg is. Dr. Zukerberg went to an Ivy league school and she acts like it. She was professional and thorough and made sure to ask what I wanted out of the visit. She did a good job clearly explaining what she was doing and what her recommendations were. Scheduling is also great. They only schedule one patient at a time and send you email reminders of your appointments. I guess it might gum things up if you show up late, but I showed up on time and barely had to wait at all.

I highly recommend Dr. Zuckerberg’s dentistry practice for adults and children. She is thorough but gentle. I have had several successful cleanings (she does them herself!) as well as complicated procedures. There is a video player to watch above the dentist chair so even with a deep cavity my 10 year old “didn’t feel it at all.” We are always seen on time and have an appointment reminder from Dr. Zuckerberg’s efficient staff the day prior. There is also easy 2 hour parking right out front of her office.

Ilana + Team are always attentive, friendly, kind, and caring. They remember everyone and always pick up the conversation from where you left it at your last visit, 6 months prior. She has always given me great recommendations for dental surgery and orthodontic work. She has scolded me once or twice on flossing, but it’s her job! I highly recommend this dentist, as they make every visit worth every penny. My teeth feel great and healthy~ 😀

In full disclosure, I fear the dentist. I have no horrific dental encounter to ground my fear in–I just find the whole thing to be unpleasant and anxiety producing. Considering my “fear,” Dr. Z deserves kudos and if I’m to go to the dentist, it better be Dr. Z! I only became a patient of hers in recent months after finding myself writhing in (dental) pain. After reading her reviews on Yelp, I decided to give her a go. Dr. Z (and her great staff) got me in right away and couldn’t have been nicer and more gentile. Although it was determined I needed a root canal–and was subsequently referred to a endodontist (all facilitated by Dr. Z’s staff)–I’ve since been back to Dr. Z for a follow up and then again for a cleaning. She’s gentile and cognizant of making the experience a good one, both of which she excels at. I highly recommend her!

What a fantastic doctor and office! I simply can’t say enough about Dr. Zukerberg and her staff, especially Janneta. Everyone is professional and kind. They confirm your appointments via email and phone, which is awesome. Dr. Zukerberg is quick and efficient in her examinations and cleanings, and always willing to offer tips on how to best take care of yourself. She’s also very nice and personable, and remembers you each visit. She talks to you enough–but not too much, since there is nothing worse than trying to talk with a mouthful of dental equipment! The location is right in the heart of Adams Morgan, so it’s extremely convenient even without a car. The office itself is a row house, so it feels really calming; no scary hospital feel here! They take care of all insurance and billing as well–another great convenience! AMFD is the best dentist I’ve ever been to, and I highly recommend her to everyone!

I am new to the area, and was fortunate to visit this practice (based on previous reviews).  Dr. Zuckerberg seems very knowledgeable, caring, and honest. The office is also in a convenient location, and staff are very friendly.  I would definitely recommend this dentist.
