Where do I even begin?! I am relatively new to the area and was referred to this dentistry by a close friend. Jose set me up with my appointment and made the entire experience super easy and pleasant. I had a difficult time finding parking (location is great, I just have trouble) and he was super patient with me and gave me clear instructions on where to go. I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome, along with a sanitation process that made me feel safe and comfortable. My dental hygienist, Victoria, was an actual angel on earth. She was so kind, incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel very taken care off. I’m so grateful to have a place where I feel safe and can go to regularly now! I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone looking for a new spot.

I found Dr Jahangiri through the recommendation of one of my coworkers, and I must say I was glad to see how friendly she and her assistant sierra were. They are in network with my insurance wich is a big deal and saves me a lot of money, and the fit me in same day to fix my chipped front tooth and rescheduled for some other procedures. You can even do your paperwork online before your appointment. I thought the entire process was very easy. would highly recommend

Moved to the DC/MD area and spent months researching all the dentists that I had access to on my insurance to find…”my new doctor”. Dr. J was my first choice and I was very glad they had space for new patients. The whole team has been wonderful! I am so happy I went! Michelle, the hygienist, is caring, patient, funny and explains everything! She is so knowledgeable! Love her! Dr. J is very kind, caring and super smart at what she does. She also explains things well and is a great communicator. Love her too! Lilly, the front desk specialist is a sweetheart and Pausides, the treatment coordinator, is very joyful. I have high anxiety whenever I go to dentists due to traumatic childhood experiences at them. Dr. J and Michelle do more than they realize at settling nerves. I am very grateful. They are doing a fantastic job of helping me get my teeth/gums up to speed, from not being able to visit the dentist for several years. First off I want to say that Dr. J is the best dentist ever! It’s assuring to know that I can trust that she knows what she’s doing. Dr. J is very informative and makes it a point to provide great service to her clients. She’s also hilarious. The staff, ranging from dental hygienists, assistants to the ladies at the front desk, all provide good service as well. I always feel welcomed and they care about my concerns as well as make sure my teeth are in better shape than they were before my appointment. As for booking appointments, it’s easy and not so stressful. I can always book an appointment that fits my schedule and if I need to make any change such as coming in earlier, they’re willing to accommodate. Also, they have their own chapstick for you to grab when leaving the office! I look forward to getting one each time I visit. For some reason it just makes my visit a tad bit better.

Like others, I came to Dr. J because of yelp reviews and concur with their experience (except for Anonymous A’s opinion). First, let me preface with the fact that I don’t like going to the dentists (read abhor). I come from a family with beautiful, perfect teeth from birth, but mine, not so much (shout out to my lovely orthodontist – Dr. Cohen in Ft. Wayne, Indiana). Because of work obligations, I had to cancel and reschedule a couple times. Each time I was pleasantly rescheduled without issue. When I arrived (nervous because it had been so long since I had seen a dentist – 4 years), the front desk welcomed me promptly. I arrive very early and while I was there I witnessed Dr. J assist a client who had just arrived because the front desk was kindly explaining a bill to another exiting client. That sat very well with me. My dental hygienist was Vicky and no slight to the other dental hygienists, but Vicky was phenomenal. I have never experienced such a warm bedside manner. She explained everything in advance as to what she was doing and why, which I appreciated, and she is did a very thorough job. In the past, I have left other dentists’ offices in pain because of the rough cleaning. Not this time despite the extra work that needed to be done. Because I have crappy dental insurance, I also appreciated having the cost of future needed work (deep cleaning all around) and elective work (I’m not good at wearing my retainer, so will likely need to go through another round of Invisalign). Dr. J’s pricing is Metro competitive for the area. I also had a good visit with Dr. J, who is very friendly and professional. She did not rush in or out as many doctors unfortunately do and it felt easy to ask her questions. For me, I rarely see the same dentist twice but I have already booked my second visit (for the first session of deep cleaning), which speaks volumes. If you are looking for a dentist, please try her out. You will not be disappointed.

I’m very picky with dentists and went here on recommendation from some friends. Dr. Jahangiri is fantastic. She took a long time at my initial visit to explain her thought process for monitoring cavities versus filling them right away and gave me good suggestions for future avoidance of cavities. I left another dentist’s office who didn’t bother to speak with me about my concerns. I also appreciated her comments about cosmetic fixes to any smile imperfections and whether they would actually be worth it for me. Based on her advice, I left a few minor things go and she fixed the rest. The hygienists are also great and thorough.

I came into Advanced Cosmetic & General Dentistry about a month ago looking to fill my gap! I had braces a few years back and my gap in between my front two teeth was slowly but surely coming back. There was little to no wait after filling out my paper work. The staff was incredibly friendly and Dr. J was great! I was given a few options, none of which were covered by my usually liberal dental insurance. Grace (Dr. J’s assistant) was a huge help in me deciding to go with the composite veneer on the two front teeth. As a college student in DC, this was my first time having any sort of procedure done without my parents by my side and Grace was a ginormous comfort! The procedure went smoothly and I love the new look! I’d gladly return! Note: I initially chose to have my consultation done at this particular office because I make a point to exclusively support women doctors & professionals.

I am so grateful to Dr.J and her team seeing me during this covid-19 out break, I wasn’t even an active patient, my husband went to there office and I hadn’t seen them before. My dentist wasn’t seeing any patients, and I am pregnant and due in 4 weeks and broke a tooth that was very sensitive. I found Dr J based on a recommendation of a coworker, and she was so kind and friendly ans explained everything in detail to me, even convinced me to do the less expensive option because its better for my tooth and more conservative. I was going to get 8 veneers based on another dentists recommendation, she rec 6 month invisalign to straighten my tooth that bothers me, and some fillings and only 4 veneers to give me the smile i want with out shaving all my teeth down for veneers at such a young age. I highly recommend her.

Danielle did a great job! After the cleaning and X-rays Dr. Arousha Jahangiri began the evaluation of my teeth, she dictated the description of each tooth with deep knowledge. Afterwards, Dr. Jahangiri kindly made the recommendations for my treatment, established cost and timeline. She was truly clear and precise, love her academic style. I recommend her practice. It is great to find a dental practice with high performance standards. Cannot say enough nice things about Vicky, the hygienist who worked with me on my first visit to this office today. I’m not nervous at cleanings, but if you are the kind of person who is, I HIGHLY recommend Vicky. She is calm, patient, warm, and explains everything she is about to do before she does it. She anticipates your questions and needs, and does everything she can to make you feel comfortable during your visit. Aside from her incredible bedside manner, her technical skills are out of this world. I didn’t feel a single pinch during her examination and cleaning. Vicky was so, so gentle. She did a very thorough job – she took the time to examine every tooth very carefully from all angles, and she asked for recent history of pain/sensitivity. I really felt like I was in the hands of a professional who loves her job and cares deeply about her patients. Dr. Jahangiri was also an excellent practitioner. She’s a great communicator, is very direct while still being friendly, and runs a really professional office. She told me that I’d need some work done, and before she had even finished her exam, someone from the front office had printed out a cost estimate and was ready to review it with me so I could make an informed financial decision about how I wanted to proceed. Overall, a fantastic first experience with this office, and I will certainly be going back again.

Just had my second visit to Advanced Cosmetic and I can’t say enough about how terrific they are. If I could go more than twice a year I would! Vicky is so sweet and knowledgeable and her cleanings are always great and totally painless, and Dr. Jahangiri is just fabulous. The whole staff is incredibly friendly and professional and they go out of their way to provide detailed explanations, advice, and referrals for any issues you’re having. Even though I was a few minutes late this morning and had new insurance info, the ladies at the front desk processed everything immediately and I was in and out in 45 minutes. Dr. J is absolutely amazing!!! The entire staff was so kind (shout out to Jose and Gani), and the offices are beautiful. After a year of poor dental work from a separate dentist, I found Dr. J online and couldn’t be happier. She was able to understand my complex case involving multiple temporary crowns and provide solutions in real time. She created a new temporary crown and left me with a beautiful smile after the first visit, and even worked around my schedule when I had to leave for a work meeting. Decided on using this practiced based on a referral from a family member. Was praying that after my exam I would only require a cleaning but turns out the X-rays revealed that my older fillings showed signs of cracks. The dentist was very thorough when explaining her findings and providing my options, quickly reducing any and all anxiety that was mounting. I absolutely love this place and couldn’t recommend it more! I first found out about this place because it takes my insurance, but additionally, it had great yelp reviews. After visiting myself, I had to write a review. I have had to go there a few times over the last couple of months, and each time, no matter who I’ve interacted with, I’ve had nothing but great experiences from the front desk/receptionist to the dentists. Everyone is completely professional and really strives to make you feel comfortable while there. Every time I go back, they remember me and I literally feel like I am their only patient, as in, I receive that much special attention. They take extra time to show you the proper way to floss and brush and make recommendations based on what is best for you and your wallet, and not themselves. While I was having work done, Dr. Jahangiri even offered me an ipad to watch Netflix on and use noise canceling headphones to make me feel more relaxed and block out the noise of the drill. Again, this place is fabulous. We all know how difficult it can be to find a dentist you enjoy and are comfortable with. If you are looking for a new dentist or even if you’re not looking, you should definitely consider this place.
