Dr Dara and her team are amazing!! I was looking for a new dentist after moving back to LA. I had some some previous periodontal issues and they got me on a cleaning plan that was tailored for that. I also had some cosmetic issues and decided to get my first crowns with them. From the financial planning, prep, to the design of the crowns, Dr. Dara and her team were very accommodating and I felt very much cared for during the whole process. Dr Dara took time to make sure my crowns were customized to match and fit and they did!!

If you are in the area, I highly recommend that you come here for your dental work like I have for over a year. The staff are very friendly and informative, always making me feel welcome or answering any questions I have. Their professional knowledge is great and and they offer a good variety of services too. I used to be hesitant about dental work because of some poor, even painful, experiences at other offices, but it’s always been great each time here. Again, I highly recommend them.

This was my first time here at Dr. Dara’s office. After comfirming that my insurance was accepted here I made an appointment. I was having pain due to my wisdom teeth and just wanted them out as soon as possible. The office contracts with a “traveling” dental surgeon by the name of M. Kweider who is available twice a month on Wednesdays by appointment only at the Alhambra location. So first- Pros/Positive I arrive, check in, and wait a few minutes as I arrived early. They take some x-rays using bite-blocks that I’ve never encountered, though they might be modified to be more comfortable. (They’re rounded and don’t feel ridged and sharp like traditional bite-blocks) The technicians are very gentle and caring; they kept asking if I was alright and let me know what was going on. After the x-rays, Dr. Dara proceeded to clean my teeth. She made a few observations on my teeth that were in need of work and finished. After the cleaning and observations, they gave me a fluoride treatment, this is where you hold a mouth guard full of fluoride paste for 3 minutes and it’s over. I didn’t mind it. Neutral Observations: There is no spit sink. Usually at the end of the cleaning you spit into a little sink, at this office you spit/drool into the suction tool. Most likely if you grind your teeth because you’re stressed like the rest of the human race they’ll recommend you a sleep mouth guard. It’s an upsell, if you want it then get it if you don’t that’s fine; they didn’t fuss over it. They give you sunglasses. This is fine, it’s a little silly but it does work. When you’re all set and done in the chair or making an appointment for a procedure like my Wisdom Teeth extraction, they will ask you for a down payment. They’ll say it’s policy and all that jazz but they just want to lock you in for that appointment so you don’t flake or shop around. This wasn’t too much of an issue for me, it was a bit intimidating of a situation since I’m not one to say no or tell someone otherwise. I get why they do it but if that sort of thing makes you uncomfortable well now you know. Cons: There’s nothing I can say that’s negative about Dr. Dara, the work she performed, or the way the office operates. I recommend you check it out.

Been coming here for over 1 year and I couldn’t be happier! Excellent customer service Dr Dara and her staff are all friendly and really care for your needs. Frances is the best she will do all she can to make sure you get taken care of. No insurance not a problem. Frances will help you! Dr Dara is so friendly and really does care. I’ve had so much work here done by pretty much everyone and they all do great work! I am so lucky to live close by and have this impeccable place as my new dentistry.

This place is WONDERFUL. A little backstory on myself: I used to hate the dentist. My mouth is too small, my teeth are too big, and I had very bad experiences when I was younger. I hadn’t been to a dentist in… maybe 7-8 years. I would hardly floss, but I did brush twice a day! I was disgusting, I know. I was terrified coming here – I thought they would get on my case for not flossing, berate me for not taking better care of my teeth… But everyone was so nice! So understanding! So gentle! I felt incredibly welcome, and in spite of my disgusting dental hygiene I was treated with care and respect. Every single person in that office is perhaps the most wonderful and most professional person you will ever meet. I had a cleaning, x-rays, and a night guard fitting all in one appointment. Everything was painless–yes, even the cleaning–and they explained every step to me so I knew what was coming next. They also removed my broken permanent retainer and fitted me with a removable one. They made sure that my night guard would fit with it as well so I could sleep with both on at night. Pricing is fair, and they have a great deal if you’re uninsured, too. I only have amazing things to say about everyone here. The work ethic, the promptness, the knowledgeable communication, their fantastic demeanor… I finally found my dental office.

I actually LOVE coming to the dentist! Weird huh? Not really. I go every 6 months for my cleanings so I have pretty good teeth. However, about less than a month ago, one of my teeth began having way too much sensitivity with heat… and I called and they booked me an appointment right away! I have been coming here for about 10 years!!! I had my wisdom teeth pulled here. They are so careful, nice and always remember me either on the phone or in person. I love the feeling of my dentist and the staff actually liking me and remembering me. I like to keep loyal to my peeps and I’m not going anywhere else for dentist work. I once tried to go elsewhere because my insurance didn’t cover PPO for dentists, and let’s just say, I quickly changed back JUST so I could get the best service for my teeth. I want to feel good when I leave the dentist, not full of cuts or scratches because some dental assistant hasn’t had his’/her experience or whatever the situation is. I have never had any mishaps here. They are professional and so caring! Don’t look anywhere else. Oh yeah, and they have upscaled ALL their technology! From x-ray taking to watching TV, computers, music. You get to see your teeth right away and the comparison from the last time you came in. Dr. Dara and the staff REALLY REALLY are supportive and great people! 🙂

I had a great experience here on my first visit. I got x-rays, a cleaning, and a thorough examination. The ladies at the front desk are extremely kind and helpful. I’ve had bad experiences at other dental practices, and this by far has been the most gentle, friendly, and honest practice. They explain what they’re doing, and are very honest about the work that needs to be done, without making you feel bad about it. I really appreciated being educated on the current state of my oral health.

I usually dread coming to the dentist because my mouth is sensitive and I hate being poked and picked at win medal objects, but I have to say coming to Dr. Dara I couldn’t be more happy! The staff is always so friendly and make sure they explain everything that’s going on. They are always on top of your dental hygiene and want the best for you. I would definitely recommend Dr.Dara!

My Daughter and I went to Dr. Dara’s Dentist this week and we had a very good experience there.  Both my daughter and I are usually very nervous when we go to the dentist.  We decided to give Dr. Dara a try since the location is very convenient to our house.  The 2 dentists and all the staffs were amazing.  They were very friendly, gentle, and patient.  They took very good care of us and our dental needs.  I strongly recommend everyone to give Dr. Dara’s Dental a try if they are concern about their teeth and are nervous about dental visits.  They are amazing!

I came to Dr. Dara’s office because it was convenient, close to home and close to work. I came because I had an old root canal that needed completion. Now that I’ve been here a total of 3 times I feel I can give a truthful opinion. The office runs efficiently, you are pretty much seen on time unless there is some kind of dental emergency. Francis and the front office staff give wonderful customer service and do their best to remember little facts about you every time. A personable experience is always the best experience. I unfortunately did not have insurance and they did work with me to figure out what payment options were best, they even stood after closing to help me out. The total was 1,300 which I’m not sure was too much but honestly, I’m not one to shop around and the service here so far was great. The next time I came I began the work on my root canal, again a great experience, and lastly I finally came to have my crown fitted. I never was seen by Dr. Dara and wondered where she was but I kept forgetting to ask since I was so nervous. I believe I was seen by Dr. Tran (forgive me if I’m wrong I’m trying to remember her name!) but she was very young but very knowledgeable! She was super kind and I felt so comfortable around her! Overall it was a great experience. Please do come here if you are looking for a great office where the staff remembers you and gives you a great experience every time!
