I have sleep apnea and was referred by my doctor to Dr. Bowman for an oral appliance. I did not like the cpac. I am into my second month with this new device I wake up and immediately feel like the morning person I was before. No hassle, no hose and I can sleep on my side comfortably. Thank you Dr Bowman and staff. So glad I made the decision to go with the oral device.

This was a great experience at this dental office. Ashley was my dental hygienist and did a great job, it was great talking with her too! Dr. Bowman was just as great with my check up and going over everything that I needed to know and educating me about my options with things. I highly recommend this dental office.

Fantastic dental office in a fantastic part of town – good ol’ Myers Park! I was treated like royalty by Dr. Chris Bowman and his friendly and knowledgeable staff at Advanced Dentistry of Charlotte. They walked me through every procedure they were performing on me and also laid out my payment options step-by-step. This is simply the BEST dentist I have seen in Charlotte since I moved here over 10+ years ago.

Great experience! Emily was fantastic, very thorough, and explained what to expect very clearly. Excellent cleaning. Dr Bowman was super nice, very knowledgeable, proactive about care, but no pressure for additional treatments. Great bedside manner. All office staff are very warm and professional. Very up front and clear pricing. Highly recommend!

I moved here from Arizona and have been nervous about going to a new Dentist. My husband found Dr Bowman on Groupon and read great reviews. I can not praise he and his staff enough. Emily cleaned my teeth and was outstanding!! Dr Bowman was kind and very thorough. I can not say enough great things about my visit. If you’re looking for a new Dentist, this is the place to go!!!

I hate going to the dentist. I mean HATE. That being said, I had to go because I definitely had some cavities growing in my pie hole. I bought a Groupon to Advanced Dentistry and have gone twice now; once for a cleaning/X-rays/care plan, and once for some fillings. Both visits were an excellent experience. I had a 30 minute wait for the first visit and a 10 minute wait for the second, but once I was in the dentist’s chair, my experience went as well as one could expect. Both the dental hygienist and Dr. Bowman were incredibly friendly, gentle, and informative. You can tell Dr. Bowman is very passionate about his job and really cares about his patients. The office is very clean and up-to-date. I had no pain with either visit- something new to my dental history. Normally when getting a filling, I have to grunt for more anesthesia while the dentist’s fumbling around in my mouth and pinching my cheek with his instruments. Somehow, this time around, I was never in any pain throughout the procedure. Yay! I won’t be so afraid to go back now, thank goodness. Their office staff is also very friendly and they send out email and text reminders/confirmations for your appointments, which are always helpful. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

This man made me cry. He fixed one of my biggest insecurities. I never realized how much it bothered me truly until I went in and he made my smile his art work. I have not smiled in a single picture in 6 years. 6 years. Not a Christmas card. Not a photo with a single loved one. But now I can’t wait to smile. That’s all I want to do is smile. When working the pandemic when it first started I stopped. Taking care of of myself and my teeth. I grinder my teeth at night. I came in. He gave me al brand new teeth. And changed my life. I can have a life now. I can smile in my mothers wedding photos in October. I can smile on my business cards I never use and I can finally smile everything I look at my boyfriend and family. This has changed my life. I’m not one for many reviews. Or one to make such a grand review. But as soon as he put my temporary teeth on I felt like a norma human being

THE BEST DENTIST AND STAFF I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! The FIRST time IN MY LIFE that I did NOT dread having dental work done. A welcoming environment, both friendly and professional staff. Dr. Bowman is WONDERFUL, informative of everything he is doing WHILE he is working on you, HONEST as he guides you to work that is needed, different approaches and is dedicated on making decisions WITH YOU and ALWAYS watching out for your cost staying low as possible. My husband and I love Susan as well. Very thorough, precise, yet gentle. I wish I could rate this team with MORE than five stars. As they have taken the fear and anxiety out of my “going to the Dentist”.

I had my first of probably many appointments today and I must say that there was definitely a family atmosphere to Dr. Bowman’s office. Everyone was so friendly and gave amazing feedback that was very helpful and appreciated. I enjoyed my dental hygienists, Ashley so much and thank her SO much for making me feel comfortable and not just like “another cleaning”. I look forward to actually going back!

I have been very happy with Advanced denistry in my first couple trips. They explain each procedure thoroughly and also break down the costs of each. Also being as I don’t have dental insurance they were able to give me options on how to pay that would make sense for me. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Just wow. I had so much anxiety about what I’d hear from my visit today, and even though the news wasn’t the greatest I was extremely impressed with my experience. Dr. Bowman and his staff were wonderful. They put me at ease, and thoroughly explained my ex-rays and pictures with me to help me understand my issues. They (somehow) made a dental check up pleasant. Although I’m from Northern, Virginia I am definitely considering coming here going forward because I’m not sure I can get another experience like this again.

Ashley and Dr.Bowman we’re both excellent. I have never enjoyed going to the dentist and I actually had fun at my appointment! They were knowledgeable and laid out a great program to get my oral health back to where it needs to be! I can’t wait to go back for my regular appointments. I can’t recommend them enough.

Very welcoming and kind. Dr. Bowman is focused on prevention. He gives honest assessments of what he thinks is best for healthy teeth without being pushy. He will take the time needed to do a good job if something comes up and work hard to find the right solution for your specific teeth if you need straightening, night-guards, etc. The staff is like family. It’s always a pleasure to visit the office.

(During CoVid)… Dr. Bowman and his staff are highly highly trained professionals who always perform above expectations to address all concerns and treat patients gently and professionally. All around best practice I have visited in Charlotte. I had a hard time finding a dentist in Charlotte that did not urge or force me to have unnecessary xrays or procedures. I went to the practice to have 2 veneers replaced and the doctor gave me a handful of options to help improve my smile and my teeth. While some of them were more invasive, I was offered a innovative procedure I had never seen before. I cannot wait to see my new smile!

I had a lapse in dental care for a few years and finally went to see Dr Bowman years ago. His passion for dental health really helped me to research the overall benefits a healthy mouth has on my overall health. I have since spent more time and care with my teeth, and am thankful for this help in educating me. His practice is great, and everyone seems to always be open to any way they can improve. I definitely recommend this practice to anyone I run into that is looking for a dentist!

Dr. Bowman is very friendly and patient oriented. He explains all work he recommends with timelines on when it is best to be done and how long you can wait before further damage. I have been happy with the results of the work done so far and I am signed up for more. The hygienist’s are very good and knowledgeable. They always find issues to show the doctor and give a thorough cleaning. Also, Abby, who works on the financing side is so helpful in trying to make the cost work for the patient. Best dental experience I have had in Charlotte.

Great staff. Friendly, smart, and were very patient and explained everything to me and gave me options for future work. Discount for cash (without insurance) and payment plans. But most important they got 10+ years of crud cleaned off my teeth and got my mouth healthy again! Cannot thank this crew and Dr Bowman enough!

So happy with my 1st visit to Dr. Bowman’s office! I felt important and very comfortable the whole time! The staff were so kind and organized it was a breath of fresh air walking in. Dr. Bowman was very knowledgeable and focused on my needs. Their technology was so advanced and quick that I kept asking how long this equipment has been around because I’ve never seen them before! If you’re not happy with your current dentist or new to the area Dr. Bowman is the one to see in my opinion.

Just recently had my first appointment with Dr. Bowman and his team at the Advanced Dentistry of Charlotte and was very pleased with the quality of service I received. Very friendly office and a pain-free-visit. Was mostly interested in the 6 Month Smiles invisible braces, but also wanted a new dentist for my son and I to see on a regular basis. Already scheduled my son to be seen as well as my own future 6-month cleaning.

Dr. Bowman is an amazing dentist. He and his staff are very friendly and pay close attention to every little detail involved in maintaining your smile. When ordering a crown, they are meticulous about getting the right fit and matching the coloring of your other teeth. (He even sent photos of my mouth to the lab along with the impressions so they could craft my crown precisely to blend with my natural teeth.) They also utilize technology and advanced procedures we haven’t seen in any other dental office. Truly a five star experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this dental office! My experiences with other dentists are usually pretty mediocre, but the the team and care at Dr. Bowman’s office far exceeded my expectations. Ashley was the most careful hygienist I’ve ever had; she was a perfectionist and left my teeth clean without causing me any pain or making my gums bleed. Dr. Bowman himself is funny and nice, and both of them made me laugh throughout my visit. The visit itself was longer than most (around 2 hours) but definitely worth it. They also have a few options for people without insurance to make things more affordable, which is a huge plus. For the first time ever I can say I’m actually looking forward to my next dental visit

Dr Bowman and his staff are amazing!! I bought a Groupon as well (no dental insurance!) for 2 cleanings, X-rays and a whitening kit. It has been perfect so far. It took about 6 weeks for them to have an opening – so be prepared! At my first cleaning, I was seen right away. I have the worlds worst teeth and the hygienist was so lovely and made me feel comfortable. Dr Bowman came in quickly and the treatment plan I came home with was fairly priced and well explained. I just went in for a crown and fillings – spent 4 hours there!!! – and no complaints. They did a great job of numbing my mouth and making me comfortable! LOVED his Dental Assistant, Michelle!! When I was still experiencing pain a week later, they saw me immediately and fixed my bite perfectly!! I would strongly recommend Dr Bowman and his Team!!

My first time going to ADoC was also my first dental visit in 8+ years. I was extremely nervous due to hearing all the dental horror stories. ADoC took great care of me and made me feel completely comfortable. They informed me on everything they were doing and focused on the overall health of my teeth. My second visit entailed getting some fillings. Dr. Bowman was so concerned about my comfort that he continually made sure I was pain free during the drilling. I had such a pleasant experience with him. He even posed for some awesome action shot selfies with me. You would think his work stopped once I stepped out the door but no! Dr. Bowman personally called me the first and second day after my fillings to check on my recovery and how everything was feeling. What great customer service! You would maybe expect one of the staff members to call but the actual dentist himself calling was very impressive. I will be taking all my business to this office for good now! If you don’t have dental insurance or you just so happen to be on groupon looking for a dentist, I hope you have the same experience I had with Advanced Dentistry of Charlotte with Dr. Bowman!

Everyone was friendly, professional, and very detailed about keeping things so clean due to Covid. Lu, my dental hygienist was so very nice! She took her time explaining every procedure to me thoroughly and with a great caring attitude!. My cleaning was one of the best I’ve ever received. Dr Bowman was also very friendly, professional and answered all my questions thoroughly. I highly recommended them

Wow! This was the best dentist experience I’ve ever received, and unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of dentist experiences (I would say I’ve gone to 8 different dentists in my life time). This was a 20 minute hike for us and well worth it. Ashley (Dental Hygienist) was beyond compare. She went above and beyond and was extremely in touch with my needs and sensitivities. They gave me incredible feedback and truly spent some time with me to explain everything. This place is award winning and the dentist was equally thorough, relatable, and professional. If you’re reading this review, it’s a no-brainer.

I was honestly blown away by how pleasant my experience was! Not only was everyone extremely friendly but the lady who did my initial exam was God sent! She was so sweet and made conversation and asked me about my life and just made me feel really comfortable and cared for and eased my fears. She listened to all my consents and answered all of my questions and was very understanding and also really educational! I learned so much lol I learned things I never knew and things about why I am having the issues I was having. She gave me all of my options to fix everything and made them very clear and understandable. It was very much appreciated! She was an Absolute delight! The Dentist that would perform my procedure was also a delight.. very friendly and very thoroughly explained everything in great detail which was also extremely appreciated and even spoke to me about the best options and considered the best prices for me as well. He was very understandable. I had forgotten my insurance card so I said I would need to call back with it so we could see how much it would cover and as the lady who had given me my consultation was walking me up front the girl at the front desk had ALREADY pulled up my insurance without us even asking! ? I had mentioned to her that I had forgotten my card when I was checking in) and even wrote me out a plan with prices for everything and sat and broke it down price wise COMPLETELY for me. I honestly would venture to say that I have never had a better experience at any office anywhere. From start to finish it was just a very pleasant experience. I am EXTREMELY pleased and would recommend them to Anyone!

As always, Dr Bowman and his staff always put the Customer’s health and needs first. They have implemented even more safety procedures for their patients and staff since my last visit. I had absolutely no concerns with getting my teeth cleaned. This is one of the many reasons I have been a patient of Dr Bowman for 20 years and will continue as long as he’s in practice.

Love Dr. Bowman and his entire staff. They make going to the dentist more enjoyable and never painful. So glad I took the recommendation to give Advanced Dentistry a chance 5 years ago. I wish I could give this place 10 stars, because they go so far above and beyond to ease your concerns and fears. They also do everything they can to make sure you aren’t in pain of uncomfortable in any way. I have severe dental phobia, and have a lifetime of traumatizing dental experiences that lead me to ignoring my dental health for half a decade. This office, specifically Dr. Bowman and Ashley Stroupe, has changed everything for me. A few days ago, I went in for my first checkup in years. I was literally shaking in the chair and definitely cried lol. They were SO compassionate and understanding and they eased my fears tremendously, while also addressing my dental problems in a way that was completely non-critical. I was both scared and humiliated when I learned that I had periodontal disease, but Dr. Bowman reassured me that it was very treatable and also a very common problem for adults to have. We scheduled an urgent periodontal “deep cleaning” to get to all the bacteria hiding under my gums around my teeth. That was this morning. I was terrified. I had asked for sedation dentistry (just oral meds to take before the appt to calm you down), but due to my past history, they ended up being relatively ineffective. I wasn’t relaxed and half asleep at ALL when I arrived. I had only slept 2 hours the night before because of fear-driven panic attacks. I was shaking horribly and was struggling to keep the tears in. I was convinced they were gonna have to send me home and try a heavier sedation.

I became a patient of Advanced Dentistry back in March after trying another facility closer to home that didn’t pan out. From the first day I walked into Advanced Dentistry I have felt way more important than a number. Paige is always super sweet and genuinely interested in my life outside of the dentists chair, and she has definitely made my experience wearing braces as an adult more pleasant. I also appreciate the fact that Dr. Bowman sees me every single visit. He asks me each visit how I feel about my progress, and I am able to voice my concerns directly to him and get immediate feedback. I am nearing the end of my orthodontic treatment plan and my braces will come off soon, but I will definitely send all my friends and family to this location, as well as switch my regular cleanings over to them as well. I am very excited to see my smile post-braces and write another review about that. Thanks Advanced Dentistry!

I have always had a serious fear of going to the dentist but Dr. Bowman and his team made me feel comfortable whenever I had to go in for work on my smile. They were very patient with me and did everything in their power to make my experience as pleasant as possible. Absolutely phenomenal experience! My hygienist was thorough and caring, the front end staff was knowledgeable and welcoming, and the dentist really helped me understand what was going on with my teeth! Be sure to ask about their routine savings plan which includes things such as regular cleanings, discounts on service, and checkups!

Great thorough new patient exam. And great continued care! Dental hygentists are great and Dr. Bowman was very personal and kind. I dont get the feel the practice is out to take make money–like several practices in the Raleigh/Charlotte area. Since moving to CA they have been one of the most thorough and easy on dental treatment plans type of practice!
