I found Aesthetic Smiles on-line and picked them because of their reviews and other patients’ testimonials on their website. I Feel compelled to share my experience with Dr. Maryam and her excellent team. She is by far the most knowledgeable dentist that I have ever met! You can tell that she really loves being a dentist! Whether it is a routine exam (complete with a jaw massage) or a more complicated procedure, she will carefully walk you through the process and explain why she believes it is necessary. She has a great sense of humor and makes you feel comfortable and not embarrassed about your teeth. The staff is very friendly and helpful with getting my insurance info sorted out ahead of time and they gave me a detail plan on what was recommended with financing options. The hygienist is always very thorough and gentle and they spend an hour cleaning and polishing stain off my teeth. Cannot recommend them enough!

About 4 years ago, I began to notice dramatic changes to my face and teeth. I started to look very different in photographs and my children told me my speech was changing. I thought I was just aging, and accepted that perhaps one side of my face was aging quicker than the other and therefore drooping. My chiropractor recommended I go see Dr. Motlagh because she could help me understand what was happening. Upon initial examination, Dr. Motlagh was able to explain to me the structural reasons for not only my facial structure changes but also my sleepless nights as well as jaw and neck pain. I was most enthralled with her thorough examination of more than just my teeth. Maryam examined my neck, jaw, tongue and facial muscles to assess exactly what was going on and was able to explain to me, very effectively, how it could be corrected non-surgically using oral orthotics. Maryam’s approach to dentistry is holistic and therefore extremely effective and helpful. I wish I had had her in my life for the past 20 years! I hope all dentistry moves in this direction.

From my first visit to Dr. Motlagh’s about seven years ago, she has consistently shared helpful information to me and made all my dental experiences and procedures go very well. I have had veneers and crowns done by Dr. Motlagh, and every single tooth she works on, things are simply better for me afterwards in every regard. I have every confidence in her skills and in the skills of everyone who works in her office. And that is such a relief. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and they are great listeners, too. I am nearly 60 years old and have been to several dentists over the years, but none were as skilled as Dr. Motlagh. I live on the Oregon coast, but I drive all the way to Dr. Motlagh’s Aesthetic Smiles near Portland, because she has given me reasons to smile!

I have an extreme phobia of the dentist due to past dental trauma.  When I first walked in to Dr. Motlagh’s office I felt at ease and welcomed like an old friend.  I spent a lot of time getting my teeth and smile back.  There wasn’t one visit that was bad.  I have a new love of the dentist thanks to these amazing women who work at the office.  From the ladies who greet you to Dr. Motlagh, they all feel like friends. If I was still living in Portland I’d be back there to keep up on my dental needs.

She treated me so amazing. Made me feel 100% comfortable with what I was getting done, how it would work, and how I would look after. I felt so confident walking in and getting it done. Afterwards my confidence flew through the roof. They showed me so much respect and were even excited to see my new smile. Made me feel special and cared about. I went in one week and was scheduled the next week to get 6 of my teeth fixed. They scheduled me in and got the work done so fast. As far as being a patient I felt like I was treated like a king. I had went to another dentist before I came here. I did not feel confident and they did not make me feel comfortable about my decision nor what I wanted to get done. Didn’t pay attention to my concern. So when I came to Dr. Motlaugh it was amazing just to have her listen to my concerns, address them, and make me feel confident in what I wanted. My operation went as smooth and as easy as possible. I even changed my dental plan so that I could come to her office as a regular patient because I felt so cared for there. I’m happier than ever I came here and if I ever need other work or refer anyone else anywhere–it will definitely be to her & her office. I have been seeing Dr. Motlagh for 17 years (since I was five years old). She and all her staff have a kind, gentle way of treating patients, and I have never been afraid while sitting in her chair. I highly recommend her for all ages, child to adult. You will not be disappointed, and your teeth will be taken care of for a life time.  I don’t live in Oregon anymore, but I try to coordinate my appointments for my visits home because she is wonderful and so is her staff! (Six stars out of Five!)

Dr. Motlagh and her team are so wonderful and welcoming! As a new patient they made sure to spend some time getting to know me and more about my dental needs. Before I left, I was given treatment plans with time and dollar estimates to help plan for my care and procedures that I am interested in. When I left I felt like I was much more informed and prepared for my dental future.
