I was referred to Dr. Goldstein via my childhood orthodontist, Chad Arthur, when I became interested in re-fixing my jaw/teeth that had moved quite a bit since my first round of braces at 13 years old. I had an underbite/crossbite as a child that was fixed with rubber bands and head gear. As I got older and retainers were lost, my teeth and jaw began drifting back to it’s original position. None of my front teeth met together and I knew at 24 years old, things would less movable if I didn’t act now. Dr. Goldstein did a thorough run-down of my treatment options which varied from minor jaw reconstructive surgery, to extractions and standard braces after just a few consultations. He understood that my problems were complicated, and seemed excited to approach a challenging case such as mine. I was awful at making appointments on time but the staff was very nice about it and more accommodating than I deserved (lol). The dental assistants are all very sweet and kind, quick in the chair, and helpful. I ended up getting my braces off 3 months in advance and could not be happier with the outcome. I’d go here before anywhere else in Scottsdale. I’d actually HIGHLY recommend if you are an adult in need of ortho work. I believe they take all ages for ortho despite the name. I had a great time every single visit.

We have gone to this office since my children were very young. They are now in college. The care and thoughtfulness that the entire staff have shown my children is amazing. Dr. Goldstein is their ortho. Both of the children have beautifully straight teeth. He has walked us through braces and jaw surgery for my daughter. He happily collaborated with our oral surgeon and even gave her a beautiful gift basket before her surgery. He is kind and genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Chaet was their dentist for many years but he has since retired. We now see Dr. Tim and Dr. Danielle. They have been amazing with my children. They both take the extra time to talk with you and make sure that your comfortable and understand each step of a treatment. It is such a friendly and fun place. I highly recommend this office. Your children will enter and leave with a smile on their face.

My three daughters (17, 17 and 10) have been going to this practice for both dentistry and orthodontia ever since they’ve had teeth. It is always a pleasant experience for all of us whenever we have an appointment, whether a routine checkup or a procedure. My youngest just had two teeth “wiggled” and it was a breeze. It’s such a comfort knowing I can send her back and she will be well-taken care of. The office uses the latest in high-tech equipment and procedures in both their dentistry and orthodontics. My daughters always look forward to their appointments, which is more than I can say about my own! (I wish I could be treated here, as well!) The staff is always highly professional and friendly, and they genuinely take an interest in their patients. The administrative staff is equally friendly and professional, from the initial greeting from the always wonderful Ann at the front desk, all the way to checkout at the end. The office runs very efficiently and smoothly; rarely have I ever had to wait very long during appointments. The office is always immaculate, comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities for both parents and patients. I was referred to Dr. Masserman and his team by my regular dentist Dr. Goldstein because as an adult, with two complete sets of braces in my past, my bottom teeth started shifting again! Thank goodness I came to Dr. Masserman in time before I had to do it a third time! He assured me that this was very normal and that I could go with a retainer at night that would help stop the teeth from moving but also protect my teeth from clenching and protect my jaw. The retainer fits perfectly and I have no issues with it at all. I am so impressed with him; he has boundless energy, is super positive, highly intelligent and is amazing with his patients. His entire team is just as amazing and the energy in the office is upbeat and fun. They are on time, organized and really work as a team with the utmost in patient care and customer service. I highly recommend Dr. for any orthodontia related issues. You will be in good hands!

After being in braces two times before Dr. Goldstein over the course of six years, with numerous health problems related to my mouth, I was at first reluctant to go back into braces for a third time. He worked with a team of two other doctors to guide my teeth pre-jaw surgery and post-jaw surgery to get me truly smiling for the first time in eight years without covering my mouth so no one could see. While I’ve been to both of his offices, my personal favorite is the Shea one. The Suresmile method of orthodontics is definitely the way to go!

Such a great first dentist experience for my son! I was impressed before even entering, by the child-sized door to enter the office and it just got better from there. The staff was pleasant, cheerful and instantly made you feel comfortable and not like you were in a dentist’s office at all. The set up is perfect for kids! My son is only 2 1/2, so I was worried about him being in a “waiting room”, but the room is designed for kids! He loved the fish tank and slide area, I had to bribe him out to get him to go back to the actual doctor’s office. The offices are also designed for kids with toys and books to entertain them while the parents give all the updates and info. The staff clearly knows how and enjoys working with kids, I didn’t hear one upset child while we were there and the way they interacted and showed my son all the tools, let him choose his flavors, etc. shows how caring they are. They were patient and he behaved so well. The actual dentist was phenomenal! Talking with my son, showing him his fun tie for the day and singing a silly song or two while he looked at his teeth. He was so pleasant and easy going, my son had no problem opening wide for him to examine his teeth. I loved that at the end, the kids get to pick out a prize. Our entire experience was pleasant and at no time did you feel like you were in a “dreadful dentist office”. I would recommend to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist. My son has talked about what good time he had, his “cookie” toothpaste and the animals in the safari decorated office all weekend. Thank you for being so welcoming and making it a great experience!

Wow! I can’t say enough how impressed I am by our visit to this office. My daughter fell while on a field trip and broke her front adult tooth. Our family dentist was on vacation so I scrambled to find someone close to her that could get her in ASAP. They had us in the office within 15 minutes of my call. From the moment we walked in I finally started to calm down…the broken tooth didn’t bother my daughter as much is it did me. Crystal took us back to the room and we met Dr Itty. They were both so fantastic with my daughter. They talked to her and focused on what she was saying and kept her informed of everything they did. Dr Itty was able to “band-aid” her tooth and now we have to wait to see how her root does. Sadly she’ll be at the dentist quite often as she grows up. Next year I’ll be updating our dental plan so we can make this our permanent dentist for the kids. We live on the other side of town but I’ll make the drive!

I was very relieved to call this practice and receive upfront, honest answers to the questions I had about my sons chipped front tooth. I am so beyond happy with the doctors at this practice! I brought my neice here to get some “wiggles’ they call them, done before we started ortho. My neice has a lot of dental fear and cries just getting a cleaning. In the time that we have been coming, we have had the opportunity to see all the doctors at one time or another and I feel so comfortable with each and every one. My sister even pays a higher price for her insurance to be in network and we drive from the west side of town to bring the kids here, thats how comfortable we are. The “wiggles” went so well and my neice says she didnt even know they were done when the doctor said she was done. Allthough, she still is nervous about seeing the dentist in general, I am so happy to make the trek because the doctors here really care about building a relationship with us. The staff is great with the kids, engaging them with conversation and often laughter during the appointment. Wow! The entire staff and experience was excellent. I wasn’t sure how my 2 yr-2 mo old son would react to his first dental office experience, and he did fantastic! In large part this was due to the staff who let him act his age, and I’m certain that because they did this, he didn’t throw any fits! Dr. Goldstein and his staff are very nice, professional, and explain the entire process thoroughly of what we should expect for my son’s upcoming 2-year stint with braces. I appreciate their honest, no-hidden-charges policy and hope that he will continue to receive excellent care over the next couple of years. My son just got braces & a herbst device which he was not looking forward to AT ALL!! But, I will say that Carla did a great job with this process & making my son feel as comfortable as possible. She was very thorough explaining how the herbst device works & what to do if / when it comes apart. She also did a good job explaining all of the steps required with cleaning the braces. I appreciate APDO giving us sports mouth guards as we will need them since my son is a football player. Carla gave a follow-up call later in the day to make sure my son was doing ok & to see if we had any further questions. 5 stars is not enough for the entire team at APDO!!! All three of my children have been using both the dental and orthodontic services for years and the care they have received has been absolutely incredible. My oldest, Charlotte, is 14 and will be out of braces (with a movie star smile!) next month. Dr. Goldstein and his staff have made the process friendly, professional and efficient. My youngest, Caroline, actually loves going to the dentist, even to have cavities filled! My middle child, Ben, is autistic and used to become quite tense any time a visit to the dentist was scheduled. Recognizing this, Dr. Tim and Heather took action, implementing a plan to make Ben feel comfortable and relaxed. On Dr. Tim’s recommendation, we increased his frequency of visits, as well as implemented some techniques specifically designed to reduce his stress level. The result: SUCCESS! I have two kids seeing Dr. Goldstein for orthodontic work. I really never leave reviews for anything, but felt compelled to for this office. Dr. Goldstein and staff are nothing short of amazing. They have excellent patient care, are good with both kids and parents and are exceptionally knowledgeable and competent in this field. As a parent, I appreciate Dr. Goldstein’s conservative approach to my children’s teeth. I feel he is doing what is right for my children as opposed to what will make the most money for the office (as is the case at many different orthodontists around town that my friends see, yes moms do compare notes). It is wonderful relief to have this kind of well earned trust in someone who is caring for your children. From a child’s perspective, my 10 year old actually LIKES ortho visits because of Dr. Goldstein’s easy going and fun manner.

He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He moved to Scottsdale in 1984 with his wife, Jill. They have two children, Danielle and Chad. His daughter, Danielle, graduated from the University of Michigan, attended dental school at the University of Southern California and her specialty degree in pediatric dentistry at Baylor. His son, Chad, was an All-State basketball player at Desert Mountain High School and went on to play at ASU until injuries shortened his basketball career. Chad graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business. Dr. Goldstein is a proud grandparent of Brooks and Levi Masserman and Blair and Riley Goldstein. Dr. Goldstein is the past President for Council of the College of Diplomates for the American Board of Orthodontics. He was the first orthodontist in the state of Arizona to offer SureSmile to his patients. Dr. Bruce Goldstein is a national speaker and educator on the newest technology, SureSmile.
