I was referred to Ala Moana Dentistry from a trusted colleague. Best referral I’ve had in a long time! The staff, Dr. Watanabe, and my superb hygienist, Bethenny, are outstanding! I have sensitive gums and both of my cleaning experiences (regular cleaning and deep cleaning) have been excellent. Very professional and friendly!

Exceptional service! I’ve been coming for about two years and I have had an amazing experience every visit. Everyone is super sweet and very helpful. Going to the dentist is not the most fun you could have on Saturday but this office makes it as comfortable as it can be.  The staff was friendly, they had wify in the reception area and 4 ipads. I almost Yelped on the spot but I did not even have time to b/c they took me in right away.  No waiting like other doctors I have been to.  One of the staff cleaned my teeth, took x-rays and photos and then I met the doctor for an exam and questions. Fortunately, I was in pretty good shape and only required a procedure for my gums (scaling and laser treatment). It is good to know that they have lasers as I was told do not hurt!  I am lucky a co-worker told me about this office.  They had validated parking but it was right across from Ala Moana Center so I you could just park there and walk. Also their office was new and clean-another bonus.

I had my teeth cleaned yesterday at Ala Moana dentistry and was impressed that they took all the time needed to do a thorough job.My teeth stain very easily and are difficult to clean, but the hygienist spent about 90 minutes working at it. And then Dr, Watanabe even took time out to have a look at a tooth that’s been giving me problems, even though I was only scheduled for a cleaning. I’m happy to say that they went beyond what was expected and that I will continue to be their patient.

My husband & I both loved going to Ala Moana Dentistry for years! Their office is CLEAN and in a prime LOCATION. There is plenty of PARKING & they validate! The staff is FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL. They care for your dental health and give excellent advise. They go above & beyond, even helping us find a dentist during our move to California. My husband and I both chose Keiko & Neil for our Invisalign treatments. We now love showing off our smiles!

Dr. Watanabe is one of the best dentists in Hawaii. She uses modern technology and techniques. Her office is located close to Ala Moana Shopping Center. They even have ipads in the reception area for patients to use. I had my teeth cleaned by Stacy and she did a great job. I was impressed by way the staff worked together to get me in and out quickly. They make you enjoy taking care of your teeth. I highly recommend this office. Since I am a doctor, I feel I can make a solid judgement.

Dr. Watanabe has an excellent staff – from the receptionist, to the hygienist and assistants, they were all pleasant, professional, thorough and accomodating. They explained the procedures as they were being done, and answered whatever concerns I had. No wonder, because she herself also exhibits the same caring & professional qualities. I made an appointment based on a referral, and I am highly pleased.

Keiko is very friendly and caring. Her kind way makes it easy for me to understand what I need to do to fix my dental problems. In my past, I’ve had horrible experiences which led me not to go see a dentist for 15+ years despite knowing I had dental issues that needed to be addressed. I’m the type that will research things before I make a decision. I found that Keiko has a very impressive background and is very accomplished. After meeting Keiko, I’ve been coming regularly and am pleased and satisfied with my results. I highly recommend her.

I have a really big fear of going to the dentist. The staff is very friendly and nice. With my cleaning & cavity fillings they talk you through the WHOLE procedure. This kind of calms me down a little. They’re also super fast & I love that they’re open until 8 pm. Definitely not going anywhere else anymore!

As a new first visit patient I was nervous about starting with a new dentist. I was delightfully surprised by the hospitality and sense of belonging. The hygienists Bethany and Bri made me feel valued and important, part of this dentistry’s family. Dr. Watanabe put any last nerves at ease and made me feel confident in my decision. The office is beautifully designed…very high tech. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Wait time was little to none. Dr. Keiko Watanabe is everything I want in a dentist – very knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and gentle. She took care of my invisalign treatment and have been very happy with the results. I also went to them for my general cleaning, which I’ve always been very satisfied. However, I can no longer go to them because are no longer participants of MetLife (my dental insurance). They were willing to process the papers for me but was told I would have to pay first up front then will get reimbursed from MetLife after. I stayed with them for a couple general cleanings but it just got too expensive. MetLife did not fully reimburse me or the reimbursement was just too little. I am still looking for a good dentist that participates with MetLife. I really wish this office accepted MetLife.

I love everyone at this practice! I’m an airline captain who recently moved and was in need of a regular dentist. I decided to check out Ala Moana Dentistry based on some positive feedback I had heard, and it turns out that feedback was accurate. I began taking advantage of this super professional and very friendly group during my layovers in Honolulu and am really happy for making that decision. They are caring and overall excellent in how they help you manage your dental health. I strongly recommend them if you too are looking for a dentist.

Marissa the hygienist took care of cleaning and checked up my teeth. She go threw every detail and explained to me well. The best assistant I ever had so I made sure I have my next appointment with her. She was awesome! And Dr.Watanabe is always on her toes. She goes very fast and check every detail. Make sure to tell her any concern because she will take care of you.

After retiring from the military, I was looking for a new dentist in my area and I came across Ala Moana Dentistry and Dr. Keiko Watanabe and I couldn’t have found a better dentist! The office is well maintained and up to date with the latest technology. Dr. Watanabe was very thorough in explaining to me exactly what she was doing and made sure I understood. You’ll love this place! Dr. Watanabe is experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and upfront in a good way. She genuinely wants the best for her patients and cares about them. She is very detailed in her exam, and explains things thoroughly. Without hesitation, I would definitely recommend her to family and friends.

I love Dr. Keiko and Staff. They are friendly and comforting. We all hate going to Teeth Torture Specialists but Dr. K is totally different. Sign in is smooth and easy, they take time to explain things in detail and make you feel at ease and safe. I’ve had several cleanings and a custom cap. I was most impressed by the high tech up to date technology and techniques they deploy. Seeing your dentist can be less traumatic if you come to AMD. Stop searching and just go.

I have known Dr. Watanabe and her staff ever since she started practicing dentistry in Hawaii. She has shown me her professionalism in her detail-oriented treatments. She always cares about what is most important and necessary for a patient, not about the profit. She practices high quality dentistry with attention to every details. I really think that Dr. Keiko Watanabe is a great Dentist! I initially went to see her because my wife is from Japan and I wanted a Japanese speaking Dentist. I did some research and found their website and was really impressed with the professional look. I thought that they must take a lot of pride in their business and are different than other offices that don’t even have a website. After going to the office and meeting everyone, I was really impressed with how friendly everyone was and was especially impressed with Stacy, their Hygienist. After my cleaning and x-rays, Dr. Watanabe looked at my teeth. She pointed out a couple of small cavities, but recommended we just watch them for now because they are really small and apparently you have to remove a minimum amount of the tooth to put in a filling, which I was not near that point yet. I really appreciated her honesty and not just telling me to fix those cavities to make money. I have been back a few times since and we are still watching those cavities, but have not needed to fix them yet. They recently moved to a new office. Once again you can see how they are really taking pride in their business and trying to give their patients 5 star service. I have never seen a more beautiful Dentist office, which I know sounds odd, but you really have to see it to believe it! It’s not the all white blah look that I, and probably most of you , are used to. It looks like something that should be in lifestyles of the rich and famous! It’s really beautiful. They even have I-Pads in the waiting room for the children (Not to mention me) to play games or watch videos. Just one more thing that shows me they are going above and beyond to separate themselves from the crowd. I believe that the focus is on setting a new standard for Dentistry and personally I would pay a little more for better service, better quality, and high ethical standards. If your main concern is getting the cheapest price, this dentist may not be the right fit for you, but I believe you get what you pay for and when it comes to my health, I think I am worth it!

I have had several visits to this office and all have been great. The parking is easy to access in the building and is validated. Once inside, the atmosphere is modern and comfortable. They have a lot of tech gadgets to use while in the waiting area. All of the staff I have interacted with has been friendly. Most of my interaction has been with my hygienist and I feel the work she has done on my teeth is among the best. The equipment they have all seems like top of the line stuff. Dr. Watanabe did a brief examination of me on my first visit and she was very kind and answered any questions I had. In terms of pricing, this place didn’t feel any more expensive than other dentists I’ve been to in the past. But admittedly, I had not been to a dentist for several years prior to coming here (my own fault in that regard). I haven’t had any issues with my mainstream dental insurance here, as would be expected at any standard dentist office. All in all, I’m a happy camper with this dentist!

The absolute best dental experience I’ve had was here at ala Moana dentistry. It has been years since I’ve visited a dentist and I’ve never had a great experience due to dentist being rough on my teeth. At my first visit here at Ala Moana Dentistry everyone was very welcoming, and my hygienist did an amazing job on my teeth. She always asked if I was doing ok throughout the whole process which I loved! I’m very happy that I have found Dr. Keiko Watanabe and her team!
