Not only is he good at what he does, he is funny, cute and has an awesome staff! Katie and Tracy, as well as all the other girls whose name escape me at the moment are all awesome. I’ve been to Dr. Levy’s office twice now. The first time was for a consult for my TMJ. I forget how long he sat with me but it was more than enough time to ask him every question I could think of. He not only answered me but explained and made sure I understood. He referred me to a doctor who specializes in mitigating the type of issues I have with my jaw. My second visit was for a cleaning with Kathleen. She adjusted for my jaw and teeth sensitivity and also gave me lots of advice on TMJ. Beyond being professional and knowledgeable, the staff are kind and take their time with their patients.

Dr. Levy has been my dentist for over a decade, and I’ve never had any problems or issues. In fact, I travel 300 miles each way, from Northern California, just to make sure Alan does all of my dental work! He’s got a very good bedside manner, is HIGHLY skilled, and really cares about his patients. Dr Levy and his staff are an excellent dental practice. His staff isfriendly and attentive. When we first moved to the San Fernando Valley, our family needed to find a new dentist. Dr. Levy had donated an exam, a dental cleaning and X-rays to the silent auction at our son’s elementary school that year and we thought, “How bad could he be? It’s just a cleaning.” We bid on the package and we ended up winning more than just a dental cleaning and X-rays. It’s been over 20 years now and as the family grew (daughters-in-law and grandsons), so did our satisfaction with Dr. Levy and his dental practice. He has cleaned teeth, taken X-rays, filled cavities, done root canals, applied dental veneers, prepared crowns and performed dental implants over the years. He never rushes to suggest a procedure that he doesn’t feel is totally necessary and will consult with other specialists before deciding on a specific treatment. Our entire family highly recommends Dr. Alan Levy for all of your dental needs. He is the absolute best!

Wonderful dentist and an amazing staff of specialists. Everyone is professional and reassuring. I feel that Dr Levy is pretty conservative and doesn’t suggest doing anything that isn’t necessary. I had to have a root canal, and knowing that I’m on a fixed income, he gave me an option of going to USC or UCLA so I could save some money. I stayed with his specialist because I feel so comfortable there. For the first time in my life, I don’t have to drink or take pills before going to the dentist.

I’m not sure why I’m even writing this review… everyone else has said it all. Dr. Levy has a solid five-star rating because he and his office are great. Very accommodating, quick to refer you to specialists outside his office if that is what is needed. My teeth are going to be challenging for any dentist (I got in the wrong gene pool.. and I dove into the shallow end teeth first)… so it’s difficult to write a rave review for someone who is always giving me bad news. But it is through my challenging dental situation that I have come to respect Dr. Levy’s skill. And it’s the whole package… nice people in the office, appointments happening on time… FREQUENTLY accommodating last-minute calls when some dental crisis befalls me. “Come on in… we’ll get you taken care of”… and they do.

Dr. Levy and his staff are TOP NOTCH! This guy is an incredibly talented pro… AND a menchy good, HONEST person. Dr. Levy never pushes to do dental work unless it is absolutely necessary. I was extremely lucky to see Dr. Alan Levy yesterday, who is the very definition of a mensch. I don’t even live in the area, and he prevented a painful dental problem from becoming really serious! I was in the Los Angeles/San Fernando area for meetings yesterday, and my tooth hurt–the upper left molar that is furthest back in my mouth. I was able to see Dr. Levy on essentially no notice because is a friend/colleague of my business partner’s. After doing thorough x-rays and using a high resolution in-mouth camera, Dr. Levy diagnosed (and showed me!) that my molar is cracked. My now EX-dentist had covered part of the crack with a filling, but the untreated crack resulted in a 12-13 mm abscess and 2 fistulas. Gross and OUCH! Dr. Levy recommended that this tooth be extracted….SOON before the infection affects my sinus and bone. He did not push for an implant, because there is insufficient bone and because the molar on my lower jaw will still be functional. Dr. Levy also recommended that the extraction be done by an oral surgeon and not by a general dentist (like himself) due to the proximity of the tooth (and the infection) to the sinus and the resulting risk of complications. To complete my unscheduled appointment, Dr. Levy looked into scheduling and referrals for oral surgery. He also immediately wrote me a prescription for a 10-day cycle of antibiotics (Amox-Clav 875-125 mg, BID). I was also given PeroDex rinse, which I have started using. Hopefully this clears up much of the infection prior to extraction and will shorten the post-operative recovery period. Pretty good treatment of a non-patient! I have since scheduled my extraction with a local (San Diego) oral surgeon. In the meantime, my pain has lessened, and I am grateful for Dr. Levy. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Wish I could find a dentist half as good as Dr. Levy near me.

There is no better dentist period. Dr. Levy does the best work, he is not some cut rate dentist. He is the Rolls Royce of dentists, the Mortons Steak House of dentists. He has been our families dentist since 1990. I would never go anywhere else. BTW I hate dentists, he makes it very easy to go to where my worst nightmares occurred as a child. I never am kept waiting for long either.

I moved across town recently and had to find myself a new dentist. I usually rely on recommendations from friends when it comes to dentists, since it’s important to have someone you trust with their hands in your mouth… A friend of mine had been going to Dr. Levy for years, and highly recommended him and his team, so I took the plunge and made an appointment. I had some minor tooth pain and needed a cleaning and check up. You know, the basics..When I arrived the entire staff was very nice and extremely professional. That helped put me at ease since I don’t love going to the dentist. (Who does, right?) Then Dr. Levy came in and had a look at my teeth. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and GENTLE! They also offer cosmetic services like teeth whitening, which I’d been wanting to try. (It worked great, btw!) I would highly recommend Dr. Levy and his team to anyone, and I’m really thankful to my friend for sending me there. I don’t expect to move again for a while, so I’ll be coming here for years. Oh Where to start. lol Dr. Levy is the best dentist I have ever seen. lol now with that being said he has also been my dentist for most of my life 30ish years. He is honest, friendly, and treats you like you’re part of his family. I suffer from severe anxiety sometimes and that is always something that I worry about, but when I see Alan, he always puts me at ease. I really don’t need to leave a long review here. Simply put. Honest, Caring, and Friendly. Will always make the time to see you in an emergency. His staff (too many to name) is amazing to say the least. He is always booked – that is a good thing in my eye’s and is worth the wait to see Dr. Levy. lol My favorite thing are his masks. Since I was 5 or 6 he has had me laughing. I have been going to Alan’s since I was a little boy. Seriously. I’m 36 so I’d say about 35 years I’ve been going and he and his team and nothing but always incredible. I have lived all over, including France, and I have never once gone to a different dentist. I always fly back to make sure only he and his team touch my teeth. Dr. Alan Levy is a graduate of the Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. A former clinical instructor of Fixed Prosthodontics at the U.S.C. School of Dentistry, Dr. Levy completed a medical and trauma based residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Levy has been a lecturer on cosmetic dentistry for the California Dental Association and a spokesman for the American Cancer Society. He is a 20-year member of the Peer Review Committee of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). On the Medical Staff of Providence Tarzana Regional Medical Center, Dr. Levy directs a multi-specialty group dental practice. Dr. Levy lives in Hidden Hills with his beautiful wife, Dawn and children Grant and Gavin. They share a love of all sports, pets, Sushi, travel and all things Lakers, Dodgers, Trojans and Buckeyes.
