I have hated going to the dentist but since I started coming to Albright my perspective definitely changed. I have not had any consistency like that with a dentist office before. The office is located in South Phoenix and is convenient for me since I live a 5 min drive away. When you walk in there is lots of seating, coffee area and literature to read while you wait. Wendy, the receptionist will greet you. She is polite and makes sure to accommodate me due to my busy work schedule. Whenever I ask if she can call me back if anyone cancels she does which not many offices do. Dr. Jakobsen is knowledgeable and a highly skilled dentist. He will answer any questions you have and give recommendations if needed. I love getting my teeth cleaned with dental hygienist Sadi. She knows her stuff and is very friendly. I always have conversations about life with her and it just shows how she makes her patients feel comfortable. At the end of the visit I get to sit down with Ginny to make sure everything is getting covered and what is my responsibility. She always has a positive attitude and is incredibly helpful. I feel like the office knows me very well and I love coming here. I highly recommend you visit this amazing dental office.

I have always had dental/dentist anxiety. I never thought I would ever be comfortable not only in a dentists chair, but also with the dentist. Kyle is amazing at putting you at ease. He’s friendly and down to earth. Its also a bonus that he likes video games. =) Dr. Jakobsen is absolutely amazing. I’ve never in my life been completely comfortable with a doctor before, much less a dentist, until I met him. He treats you like a person, not just a patient. He’s kind and understanding and genuinely wants to help you. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate this man and the staff at Albright!

I’m a new patient and I LOVE it here. The staff is VERY friendly and welcoming. I felt right at home. First office I’ve been to that doesn’t rush you out. Not one but two of the staff members including the office manager took their time to explain to me my options and the procedure I need done. I absolutely love it !

Albright Dental clinic is awesome. Dr Jacobson is friendly and so is the entire staff. Kyle, the denture tech, was great. The place is clean and social distancing standards were maintained and temperatures taken before you were allowed in. The hard reline is about a 24 – 48 hr turnaround for those denture wearers reading this review.

I have always had dental/dentist anxiety. Kyle is amazing at breaking the ice and making you feel at ease. Dr. Jakobsen is probably the only doctor I have ever truly and honestly felt comfortable with. The way he speaks to you – you can tell that he really cares about you and your needs. I actually kind of ENJOY going to the dentist now… which is something I never thought would be possible. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I will always recommend Dr. Jakobsen and EVERYONE at Albright to family and friends. Wonderful staff!

I’m not sure what the others have said to be true. I visited many dental offices in Phoenix to have MAJOR work done. After being bent over by many other dentist this is the only place where prices were reasonable and the dentist and his staff actually cared and explained things to me. I would recommend Albright to anyone that is seeking a dentist that actually cares for his patients.

I love this office but I’m a bit upset at leaving a message to set an appointment and don’t receive a call back…i left 2 messages last week for denture adjustments as I can’t wear my bottoms and I didn’t get a call back…i know they are extremely busy and I give them a high rating because usually the call back time is 24 hours…im hoping they check their machine more often. Other then that I would still recommend this office 100%..

I’ve been going to Albright since 2014 and they have taken care of me from the get-go. As a recent college graduate at the time and oral care weren’t of much importance growing up, my lack of care built up over the years. With over $2, 500 worth of work, how was I going to afford that, let alone endure the untrained oral pain? Dr. Jakobsen and his team not only worked with me to make payments but also made sure each appointment was as painless as possible. Since then, I have moved multiple times throughout Phoenix and currently reside in Tucson and I still make the trip for every appointment! I trust Dr. Jakobsen and his team to provide me the best possible care when it comes to my oral health! Overall, I want to commend the Albright team. Everyone from the front desk receptionist, Diana, and Wendy who was before her, always welcomes me with a friendly and sweet greeting. Ginny and the new staff who handles payments and scheduling are also amazing and try their best to work with your schedule and payments. And the dental assistants are young but hard-working and attentive, which is rare when it comes to a dental office as a whole. Lastly, my favorite part of Dr. Jakobsen’s office is that he prefers Northern Arizona University Alumni, as that’s my alma mater, I will continue to do business with Albright Dental Care for as long as I’m in Arizona! Go Jacks! :D.

I was so scared when I entered this office however they go beyond trying to make you feel comfortable, from the receptionist to the office manager. Kyle is absolutely awesome and I have never been to a better dentist than Dr. Jakobsen. He was patient and understanding. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Phoenix. 5+ stars!

I’ve struggled with bad teeth since I was 19. After my only son was born I got my first cavity and it went down hill, real quick. There really wasn’t anything I could do. I was super scared having to get so many extractions for dentures but so far, the whole staff has made me feel super comfortable and they’re all so sweet! I’m super lucky I found them and would recommend them to everyone I know! Gonna have a beautiful smile in about a month & a half and I honestly wouldn’t want any other company to do it!

I would highly recommend this dental office. The staff is courteous and very friendly. I took my 4 year old in for her first dental appointment and the staff helped to provide her with an excellent first-time experience. I’m not one who enjoys going to the dentist but Dr. Jakobsen has changed my perception quite a bit. I had numerous fillings done and he was by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. I didn’t feel any pain and he did great work. Overall it was great experience and I look forward to my future appointments here.

Me biggest fear in life is the dentist. Doc, Jennie, and Kyle were awesome. It was karma that led me to Albright after an insurance mishap at another place. But I was determined to see a dentist that day and now I can actually say I LOVE going to the dentist. This place is the read deal. And Kyle is so incredible passionate about what he does. Go here if you’re afraid of the dentist. Kyle will call you darlin’, Jennie will help you figure out how to pay for it, and the doc will make sure your are totally comfortable and not in any pain.

Albright Dental formally know as South Mountain dental has been caring for people in the valley for over 20 years. Dr. Jakobsen, a Southern California native, moved to Chicago in 1994 to finish his undergraduate studies, focusing on Neuropsychology, at Knox College. Upon graduation, he spent three years doing HIV research at Rush Medical Center before applying to dental school. In 2004, Dr. Jakobsen received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago. From there, he moved to the valley. When asked what he likes most about dentistry, he replied, "Dentistry is one of the few specialties left in health care where the provider still has time to talk with and get to know his patients. What I like most is the feeling I get when I've been able to comfort and talk a patient through a procedure that they were fearful of. A dental chair can be a very unnerving place for many people. I've found that communicating with my patients throughout a procedure builds a trust and confidence that eliminates any previous fears they've had of the dentist's office." In his free time, Dr. Jakobsen enjoys mountain biking, playing ice hockey, and spending time with his family.
