HEAR YE! HEAR YE! Dr. A. is the BEST dentist I have ever had in more than 60 years of “dentist-ing.” He put a great 5-crown bridge in the bottom of my complicated mouth and gave me 5 or 6 “get it absolutely right” visits, without charging me a dime for any of them. Further, while 5 dentists I saw before him insisted there was an instant need to replace an old silver filling I have, Dr. A., over 3 years, has said, “I’ll have to replace that eventually, but not yet.” ! ! ! You see, you have here a dentist who actually cares more about your teeth and budget than he does about the fatness of his wallet! How rare is that?!? Also, you can call his cell phone anytime and press “urgent,” if you are worried. I did this twice, and he got back to me quickly each time. All hail Antonakos!

Came here on a Groupon deal for general x-rays, exam, and cleaning. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She registered me efficiently and the dental hygienist took me back basically right on time for my appointment. I wish I could remember my dental hygienist’s name, I specifically told myself to remember it for review reasons, and now I’ve forgotten. I want to say it was Beverly maybe? Anyway, she was professional, soft-spoken, very nice, and very thorough. Dr. Antonakos (who introduced himself as Alex, which I liked, made you feel kind of like you were already an established patient) seemed valid. He didn’t try to sell me on cosmetic stuff (I hate when they do that when you don’t ask for it, especially when it’s your first visit) and stuck to what I came there for. Seemed laid back yet confident in his knowledge. I like it. I love when you go somewhere using one of these coupon deals and they don’t treat you like a lesser client. Too many places do that – it’s like why offer a coupon if you’re going to resent your clients for using them? But this practice seems to be very professional and understanding of their clients’ financial situations. They even offer a discount for uninsured clients such as myself. This combined with a pleasant dental experience makes me very likely to return for my 6-month check up 🙂

My daughter just moved to New York, and suddenly she had severe tooth pain. The receptionist at Dr. Antonakos’ office went above and beyond to get her in as quickly as possible. My daughter ended up having to be referred to an oral surgeon, which they referred her to and also got her taken care of the same day. I can’t say enough how much we appreciate the care my daughter got! Professional, courteous, and caring…they really came through for us!

Best dental experience of my life!!!! I got a deal on Amazon Local for clean/exam/whitening because I don’t have dental insurance, so I was going for cheap. The receptionist was totally warm and welcoming, and then they handed me over to Beverly, the hygienist, who was totally calming and soft spoken. I feel like with new dental technology, a lot of places have abandoned the old school metal picks and scrapers and just go over your teeth with one of those sonic instruments for 10 minutes and call it good. Not here, Beverly used the sonic thing and then pulled out all kinds of picks and scrapers and just WENT TO TOWN on my teeth for at least half an hour. When she finished I said I was impressed with how thorough she was, and her response was “I’d love to clean them again. Just to get all the stuff that’s really deep in there”. Dr. Alex came in, was totally cool, didn’t find anything horrible or try to scare me into having my wisdom teeth pulled or tell me I needed invisalign or any of the usual tactics, he just recommended  cleanings more often.. And since they were so incredibly thorough I AM going to go in and let Beverly get every last bit of plaque humanly possible next week. I feel like they are making up for years of mediocre dental cleanings and work. I will be a patient there for life – no more groupons or amazon deals for me, they are worth the full price or I will find a dental plan that they take if it seems necessary. I can’t recommend  them enough!!!
