I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years and when asked why I said  “I haven’t had any problems until now”.  I had a filling break off and leave a jagged edge that I had sliced the side of my tongue on.  I called and made an appointment for the first available time slot a few days away.   Then, I stopped eating hot or cold foods, I worried about the costs, I worried that there maybe other issues, I worried about possible loss of work time.  LoL.   It went well.  It went so well that I am writing this.  The filling was reground and refilled and when I had walked out a few hours later,  all the worry and stress of a broken tooth had been replaced by gratitude that things were taken care of properly.  When I awoke the next morning, it was as if the broken tooth never happened and my life reassumed it’s course. Thank you Doctor Longman.

I have been going to Dr.Longman for 22. years. Over the years I have had several crowns and other procedures. Dr. Longman is a top notch dentist.The hygienists are very thorough and very polite. The receptionists are very courteous. Never had a billing problem. Would recommend to anyone.

Had my first visit today. Front desk staff, hygienists and doctors were all extremely friendly and professional. Headed back in a few weeks for more work. Parking lot is a bit limited so get there a few minutes early in case you need to scope out metered street parking.

Words are inadequate to describe the high quality dental care I received from Dr Longman. He is an amazing dentist who truly cares about the comfort of his patient. I fell and broke a tooth on a Sunday… not the best timing. He saw me Sunday afternoon and patched me up so I could comfortably get through the rest of the day. I went back the next day and had the most painless dental care I have ever received. His staff is easy to work with and the whole practice is accommodating.

Great experience. Was visiting Alexandria and had a crown come off. Looked around and found Old Town Dental. They were prompt in returning my call and was super easy to book a timely appointment – so I could get back to holiday eating! Very nice facility and within walking distance of my Airbnb on King St. Dentist as super nice and chatty which made me relaxed. His team was also very nice and habla Español. All in all a great experience. Highly recommended especially if you have an emergency situation as I did.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Longman and his staff for 25 years.  Honest, attentive, professional and always available when the unexpected happens.  I can’t say enough about the great care I’ve received over the years.  Also, the new office is super convenient, with easy parking and access.

At effeceint as it gets. I was there for the first time for a simple cleaning and checkup. Filled out the usual forms and gave them the insurance card. On verification, the office got back a detailed breakdown of benefits. Their intake person went over it with me and explained what is covered, what is not. This is not a posh or fancy place. A busy practice, but is run quite effeciently. The hygenist and the dentist were professional and seem to know what they were doing. No fuss, no upsell for teeth whitening and even complimented the oral surgeon who did my implants.

As a non-dentist fan, I was leery to go to a new practice. I asked my students in my class at NVCC for a recommendation. One of the students bravely volunteered this practice’s name. I called on a Thursday and they were able to get me on their schedule that same Saturday. Yep, as in two days after I called. I hadn’t been to the dentist for more than two years because my previous dentist had gone on permanent maternity leave. The hygenist Yanci was so incredibly gentle. I normally hurt and have a lot of bleeding when I go there. She let me know, that I had a small mouth and too many teeth. (I already knew that, despite what my mother says!) The recommended an oral surgeon to take out my last dentist. I am a big fan and will be going back! Thank you Old Town Dental!

I’ve been going to Dr. Longman at Old Town Dental for several years.  It’s a little pricy but they are all really nice and the Dr. is great at avoiding as much pain as possible.  I grind my teeth pretty badly and he has been fantastic in trying to keep my teeth healthy.   Highly recommend!

I had booked thru ZocDoc..it is ZocDoc I have the problem with. I had updated my info, scheduled my appointment thru ZocDoc, to be seen at 2:00 . I arrive at 2:00, and the office had tried to call me to reschedule. ZocDoc’s system did not update the info. Luckily, this professional group could see I was in distress. They worked me in, and had to have emergency root canal next day due to severe infection. Had it not been for the professionalism displayed by Dr. Longman’s practice, and was kind enough to work me in. ZocDoc needs to update its system..it caused confusion. Thank God For Dr. Longman’s compassionate staff

I visited with Dr. Phan, all I can say is FANTASTIC! I was a new patient, forms were easy and quick to complete, office staff was very friendly. Overall, for a first appointment, I cant express how happy and satisfied with this practice. They explain everything, provide referrals and keep you informed every step of the way. This will most certainly be the practice I use in Alexandria!

I’m so happy – Thank you Dr. Longman. I called to make an appt on Sunday, they saw me on a holiday Monday and later sent me to a root canal specialist the same day. He called himself and also help me by numbing the pain until I saw the specialist. Great staff and personalities and I also got a hug on the way out. What more can you ask for, everyone was great. Thank you!

I have been a patient of Dr. Longman for over 20 years, and I couldn’t be more pleased with his dentistry.  Dr. Longman has a great deal of expertise and experience.  He is an excellent diagnostician and practitioner, and his “bedside manner” is most appreciated. I am very impressed with his imaging system, which allows me to view a full mouth x-ray on a laptop computer and to better understand Dr. Longman’s treatment recommendation.  He is extremely conscious of costs, and he is most fair and reasonable in his pricing.  I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Longman.

I had to see Dr. Longman in an emergency situation. I had not been to the dentist in several years and had moved back home from college. Dr. Longman had been my sister’s general dentist for many years. He saw me immediately and help my tooth from hurting as much as it did, put me on an antibiotic and a painkiller. He also made me an appointment for the next day with his hygienist. I recieved quality care and was thankful for his help. I now go to the dentist every 6 months.

I’ve seen Dr. Longman for 25 years. Professional, caring, always available, and patient first. I highly recommend the team at Old Town Dental. Great new modern office, and plenty of parking.

I am on holiday and had an emergency dental issue. The staff was able to get me in within 24hours- everyone was extremely kind and helpful. They were able to prescribe the medication I needed until I can get home and completed remedy situation. Absolutely wonderful staff and service. Thank you all!

I had a great experience at Alexandria Old Town Dental. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the visit was fairly quick with minimal waiting. The facility is clean and they are taking proper COVID precautions. They also have a good dental plan you can purchase if you are uninsured. I would highly recommend Alexandria Old Town Dental to anyone looking for a new provider.

I just moved into the area and, unfortunately, needed a dentist. (cracked my tooth on a cherry pit). My father-in-law is a dentist in the Norfolk area so I asked him for a recommendation. He told me to go see Dr. Longman at Old Town Dental. I have nothing but good things to say. Even though I was a brand new patient, they made room for me right away because I had an emergency situation. The staff was very professional and Dr. Longman was amazing. No pain at all while he fitted me for a temporary crown. I am a little scared of dentists anyway (except for my father-in-law of course) but the whole experience put me completely at ease. I already called my wife and told her to use Dr. Longman for our kids too. I am lucky enough to have dental insurance through my office and they took it so I don’t know anything about pricing. Pro: Quality of work, amicable and knowledgeable staff Con: More expensive than anticipated, lack of parking, promptness I am a DC grad student who chipped a tooth. I decided to look in VA for a dentist, since everything is cheaper outside the district, and I chose this place due to good online reviews. I called in ahead of time to price shop, got an estimate of around $190, and scheduled an appt. The location is a bit of a walk from easily accessible parking or a metro, but the staff was friendly, and dentist was extremely amicable. He was very chatty, and I was on a tight schedule, but was extremely knowledgeable, explaining his rationale for his decisions and answering my questions. He did do an X ray, which is a standard of care for a chipped tooth: this was not included in my initial price estimate. My tooth looks great; it is completely matches to the natural enamel, even under close inspection. I am only frustrated about the price, which was around $325, quite a bit for me since I currently don’t have dental insurance. I would recommend this place to someone with a decent job in the DMV area, It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for.
