Dr. Alpan has been extremely helpful and amazing as well as his staff. Being 23 braces really wasn’t something I was very excited about. However, my smile was always something I worried about. I began looking into braces and different orthodontics and after 3 consultations with other orthodontics Dr. Alpan sold me. I was confident and actually very excited about braces! He gave me all the information I needed and I also noticed that he was more up to date with technology and newer treatments than others. I decided to get Invisalign and 2 months in my smile was already making so much progress. Beyond it all, anytime I had questions I would set up an appointment and he was always helpful on retraining me and just reassuring me that everything was going smoothly. Highly recommend Dr. Alpan.

Regarding the last review posted: I think the reviewer has the wrong practice. The Dr. Alpan at this address doesn’t teach at USC, nor are there ever students working for him/under him. His staff has been there for many years, most of them for the entire time he’s been practicing. I have seen Dr. Alpan at each appointment, and my treatment period coincides with the reviewer’s. I’m posting the same review as I posted for Aesthetic Orthodontics since Dr. Alpan’s practice is Aesthetic Orthodontics. My experience with Aesthetic Orthodontics has been one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had with any other doctor or practice. My dentist recommended three orthodontists to me, and from the moment I spoke with the staff on the phone, I had a feeling that I was going to choose Aesthetic Orthodontics. Going to an orthodontist was not something for which I had been mentally prepared. I had already had orthodontic treatment for several of my teenage years, and after having had issues with a dental appliance my previous dentist had given me, my bite had opened, which could only be corrected with orthodontic treatment. So, at 27 years old, I ended up back in the same dreaded situation as I had fifteen years prior, needing to get braces. Upon entering the office, I was warmly greeted and taken to the consultation room. Dr. Alpan did a really thorough examination of my mouth and jaw, which pleasantly surprised me as the other doctors I had seen asked a few questions and took a cursory glance. He spent a lot of time asking me questions, explaining my options, and coming up with a plan to move forward, so much so that I remember thinking that he surely must have had other patients that he needed to see. (In light of that previous comment, I must point out that I have only on one occasion in the last 18 months had to wait more than ten minutes to see the doctor.) I ended up choosing the Invisalign treatment, which hands down, wins over any other orthodontic treatment in my book. There were flexible payment plans available with the ability to finance if needed. The prices of the different treatment options were very competitively priced, and honestly, for the kind of service that you get at Aesthetic Orthodontics, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal. The staff greets me by name now, and it feels good to know their names as well. I have never felt like I was just a number or another paycheck at that office. I talk mostly with Claudia and Christina, and both of them are always smiling, and always willing to work with my schedule. They make it very easy to be a patient. Dr. Alpan is incredibly knowledgeable, always positive, and is constantly keeping himself apprised of new technologies and new treatment options. If you’d like more information on his background, it’s posted on the Aesthetic Orthodontics website. He takes his time with his patients and is legitimately concerned about creating the best smile and achieving effective results. He’s young enough that I feel like I can relate well to him and he can relate to younger kids, and he’s old enough to have had ten years of experience under his belt. I must say that another great thing about this practice is that the staff is pretty flexible on which office you go to. I’m sure they may prefer that you stick with one office (though it’s never been mentioned to me), but I travel a lot for work, and there are times when I’m only available on a day of the week that they are working in the office that I don’t usually go to. In these cases, they have always accommodated me, transported my aligners to the office at which I had my appointment, and gave me the same friendly service as they always have. I honestly have no complaints, and the results that have been achieved in the last 18 months have exceeded my expectations. Your orthodontic treatment should be a positive all-around experience from your first visit to your last, from each time you walk in the door to each time you walk out, and Dr. Alpan and his staff couldn’t do a better job of meeting that challenge.

I visited the Dentist for the 1st time to take my nephew, and I was surprised to know he was happy to go. The office is easy to find, great parking with a parking attendant. All the staff were friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. When my nephew got called up the dentist assistant greeted him with a fist pump which I thought was so cute & cool. He took us to his chair, examined him and then the Orthodontist took over. Later another assistant assisted him and she was VERY friendly and hilarious!! I enjoyed her joking around with y nephew, as a dentist can be a scary place for kids. I enjoyed the clean-ness of the facility as well as the lovely/Funny looney tunes frames. Not to mention check-out was eassssy!

With much research, Dr. Alpan is one of a kind and is THE ‘go to’ doctor. Not only is he brilliant, but his bedside manner goes unmatched! I have been going to Dr. David Alpan for many years ever since I had first gotten my adult teeth. I wore my retainers that they had made for me every day! My sister and I used Dr. Alpan for the retainers and then the Invisalign. My first thought of the Invisalign was how comfortable and invisable they were. I am a profesional actor and needed something that I could wear on auditions. So these were amazing! After a little under 2 years of wearing the invisalign I finished with beautiful teeth and a before and after picture. BIG difference! Now onto the staff! They are always very kind and helpful. They had always helped me with whatever problems that I had. I got to have many “dentist talks” as I like to call them with Dr Alpan where you try to talk with your mouth open. Every one else is very sweet and kind,help with whatever you need and treat you like you are their best friend. Everyone is very professional! I just started my track of using invisalign last August and they look pretty good on me now. Dr. Alpan offered me many suggestions to choose the right teeth braces. Since I almost finish my master degree at school and I’m looking for a full-time job now, the traditional braces don’t really fit my expectation if I move to other places. I visit the office each couple of weeks to get my new trays. Sometimes my schedule was a little unstable, so I have to call them to change the time when I have a trip or something. People in the office are super super nice and love to help me solve the problems. The environment and surroundings of the offices in LA are very clean and comfortable. I checked out a couple of orthodontics before doing my braces, and Aesthetic is the cleanest one! You can tell Dr. Alpan is also very professional on what he is doing from the conversation with him. The price is pretty fair and they will give you a great discount if you totally pay them off at the beginning. I chose to pay month to month since I don’t really know where I’m gonna move soon, and they said they would stop charging me for the service fee once I make the decision. I really recommend this place if you are looking for a great orthodontics in LA area~

I meant Dr. Alpan more than 15yrs ago. He and his staff made me feel like family and when money was thin, they worked with me regarding my payments. Fast forward to 2012 there was no other orthodontist that I was trust to do braces for my then 9yr-old son. He and his staff still make you feel so comfortable. My son was never nervous. The cute song and performance they do when your braces come off is just icing on the cake. I’ve referred two other people who also loved their experience with Dr. Alpan. I am a current patient at Aesthetic Orthodontics and have been wearing the Damon 3 braces for two years now. I am very happy with Dr. David Alpan as he is very nice and seems happy to see that I am almost done with my treatment. In addition, the rest of the staff is very friendly and know me by name on both offices (Los Angeles and Beverly Hills). It’s a big deal when the staff is able to single you out as there are many patients coming to this office. Thank you, Alpan Orthodontics. My treatment was completed yesterday and the results are much better than I could have ever imagined. Initially, I looked at my front two teeth and thought they needed a little straightening – so my expectancy was for them to get fixed – and I’d have been extremely happy….. However, looking at my ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos, the improvements go way beyond this. Not only are my front two teeth now perfectly straight, all of the other teeth are aligned, gaps have been closed, and I have a totally new smile. Dr Alpan and his assistants have been fantastic to work with so thank you very much. If you want to keep your teeth, are suffering from a TMJ issue, need an advanced orthodontic treatment plan, then definitely go see Dr. Alpan. He is Amazing! Great to be a patient of a dentist that genuinely cares about the treatment and not just billings. Reasonable rates too. I was told by other orthodontists and oral surgeons around the world that I needed to get 4 extractions + periodontal surgery + jaw (orthognathic) surgery to resolve my issues. Came in today for Orthodontics Consultation. I am very impressed in how staff were really nice. Came in early morning when they opened and I was done in about an hour. Pictures were taken. I have had a great experience with Dr. Alpan and the new doctor that has come on staff (I feel terrible that I haven’t caught her name yet). My dentist Dr. Paul recommended him and I have thanked her so much too! I let my doctor know that although I trust them as professionals I was concerned about my gaps as my sister’s wedding is approaching. Dr. Alpan was called right over to see my concern and address it with me. Immediately, he was able to make a recommendation and got right to work on the solution. His staff is very attentive and friendly. George is one of the best. He started off my braces and is very knowledgeable. I have also been seen by the other assistant (who’s name I also forget…but she has red hair and is super friendly) and they are very keen on the details of where I am with my treatment and communicate very well where I am headed. The ladies that do the scheduling are awesome (thanks Claudia!) as they have always been helpful in working with my busy schedule as a Union organizer. There are days when they are super jam packed (but usually this is the time when most children are off of school – so it’s best to book during the morning or before 4pm if you can …this is true for any doctor’s office). Even on days and hours when they are busy they are well staffed and organized to be able to attend to all the people who are scheduled for that time slot. Hey Good Day Good People, You are probably browsing on yelp because you are looking for a excellent orthodontic office that’s a great fit for you. Well Dr. Alpan and his staff are amazing. I’ve been a client with Dr.Alpan since January of 2017. I came in for a consultation, and Dr. Alpan gave me a thorough exam and discussed multiple treatment options with me. Once we decided on the treatment plan that was the best fit for me we went over the total cost and set up a payment plan. I started my treatment 2 weeks later. I’m in my second to last trimester. I would recommend Dr. Alpan office mainly because of the atmosphere, friendly staff,flexibility, and service I recieve. Dr. Alpan has three offices in three different cities, so this is very beneficial to me and perhaps for you too! Because I have a very intense schedule, and it opens up opportunities to be seen rather it’s an emergency or just in case you need to reschedule an appointment. All the staff know me by name and they do their best to accommodate my needs. Special shout out to Claudia she is the best. She goes the extra mile. I emailed a few times with questions and she is prompt on responding, she is always professional, and she crack jokes with me. Special shout out to Jennifer as well for being a smiling face when I walk in the office. She always greet me with a huge smile on her face and make me feel welcomed and part of the family. My mom’s friend raved about this place on socially media all the time and I see why. … I was hypnotized to pick them as my daughter’s go to ortho for her braces! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile. The lobby is cute with plenty of seating. They offer you water while you wait and they have a movie playing for your entertainment and a video game for kids in the lobby! My daughter who had a bad experience before with the last dentist we visited was comfortable and so was i. We met Dr Alpan and his financial advisor and got squared away. I love Dr. Alpan Orthodontics. I came here after 5 consultations at other places and decided this was the best place to pursue I-Braces/Incognito Braces. I-Braces are super expensive but, as an adult, I didn’t want traditional braces. He made it affordable by breaking it down to monthly payments with no interest. I was able to afford it over the course of 2 years. I am almost done with my treatment, and I can say that I am happy with the results thus far. My bottom teeth are straight and my overbite is almost perfect. The staff is amazing. Claudia, the front desk receptionist always makes me feel at home. She is very personable and always remembers my name. I believe that’s an amazing way to build customer relationships. The staff that has worked on my teeth is amazing. Nayrei, Bertha and George have done a great job of tightening, rebonding my brackets back on, changing my wires, etc… They are professional and always answer any questions and concerns that I have. Dr. Alpan always comes in last and checks to make sure everything is moving along. He tells me the next step and procedures that need to be done and make sure that his staff are upholding his standards. Even at the initial consultation, Dr. Alpan took the time to explain thoroughly the best procedure for my teeth and exactly what I needed. I was also concerned about having four teeth removed and the appearance that it would give me losing four teeth. He came up with an option to place four fake teeth and slowly saw away as the teeth moved. I didn’t go with this procedure but he was the first doctor that even suggested it. I knew that he was very experienced and that I would be in good hands if I chose Dr. Alpan. The office is always clean and they always have everything you need. If you need brushes, or floss or rubber bands they always gives them to you. Also, I love the monthly contest that they always have like, guess the jellybeans for Easter to win 100 off something or Halloween pumpkin coloring contest. I don’t ever win but I think it’s a nice personal touch for the guest. One time, they even gave away mac and cheese to each patient because it was easy to eat and soft for those that have braces. It’s the small things like this that makes this office stand apart from other places. I’ve had a great experience here so far. I would recommend it to anybody looking to get I-Braces. I-Braces are amazing!! Even though the process takes a little longer, I really don’t mind because I barely even notice that I have braces. My treatment is almost done and I can assure you that I am very happy with the results!!!

At first I was a bit skeptical about going to this place, I was scared of getting braces. The other places I went to didn’t feel as friendly, they made getting braces sound scary and painful, but as soon as I walked through the doors of Alpan Orthodontist I knew it was the right place. The staff there are so kind, and they all make your visit pleasant. They make sure I’m not in discomfort after I’m done with my appointment. They’re with you every step of the way, and they are all extremely educated. The day I got my braces, they made sure to call some hours later to see how I was. I totally recommend this place. It is amazing!!, if it wasn’t for them I’m sure I wouldn’t have the guts to get my braces. It’s been about 4 months and I can see my teeth are getting straight. I came to Dr Alpan for initial appointment. Overall, I went to 7 orthodontists before I ended up working with Dr Alpan. I had a complicated treatment scenario and among the 7 othrodontists that I visited opinions ranged from “I don’t know what I can do, I cannot help you without jaw surgery” to “I don’t want to do it that way because I don’t like it (read: I have never done it before and don’t want to take the risk)” to “I can try but cannot promise you any results and cannot take responsibility”. Dr Alpan assured me that he can fix my underbite problem without the jaw surgery. The overall treatment time was slightly longer than the originally estimated, but this cannot be predicted perfectly and depends on how fast the teeth move. Currently, I am done with my treatment and the results are exactly what I expected. By far, the most experienced orthodontist I ever had to deal with.

Updated review- Claudia and Dr. Alpan cleared up the misunderstanding with the new receptionist. They’ve been very accommodating and supportive. Alpan orthodontics has been with me thru almost every major transition in life, college, engagement, first career level job etc. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to improve their smile. I used to be upset that I was getting braces after High school (my self esteem was a big issue around my smile). I never showed my teeth in pictures and didn’t go to prom. I originally wanted Invisalign and Dr. Alpan was the 4th orthodontist to tell me I wasn’t a candidate based on my bite. However he had the Damon clear alternative. I was skeptical and still kind of disappointed but I didn’t want anyone to know I had braces. I remember the first tech/Assistant told me I would start to change my mind later. She told me how braces can be “fun” with color bands etc. I also want to admit she was right. I’m in the final treatment stage and now I want all the color bands I can get! They always offer a water bottle. With the California heat it’s always much appreciated. The new Tech Adrian from New York is really nice and professional. The staff is very family oriented, I always feel safe here and parking here. They now have a security guard in the lot. Come in and say hello or ask for a consultation. I got braces when I was 24 from here. It was a 2 year process but time flew by. Claudia is the front desk girl that memorizes everyone’s name when they come in. Dr. Alpan was jovial, educated, and professional. I had TADs in the front of my mouth and now they have this process called accelerated orthodontics! Literally speeds up treatment time 30-50%! After I was done I got Zoom teeth bleaching. I was a little sensitive so I’d take Tylenol first but my teeth sparkled!!! Seriously, I hated my smile before but now I’m grinning from ear to ear!

Welcome to Alpan Orthodontics (AO), the Los Angeles orthodontic offices of Dr. David Alpan & Associates. Dr. Alpan is a third-generation orthodontist, with a team committed to improving the quality of patients lives with high quality results in the shortest amount of time, with the least discomfort, while staying in budget. Orthodontics is the only specialty that can affect your smile, airway, bite, TMJ, facial appearance and overall dental health. Our orthodontic team uses the most current technology and techniques to provide children, teenagers and adults balanced, healthy, and beautiful smiles. Dr. Alpan earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific (UOP) School of Dentistry in San Francisco and became licensed to practice dentistry in California and Nevada in 1996. After completing the orthodontic training program at UOP in 1998, he received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate. He earned his Master’s of Science degree in Dentistry (MSD), and wrote his master’s thesis on the results of a two-year TMJ research project. Dr. Alpan has an inexhaustible passion for practicing orthodontics: “I decided to specialize in orthodontics because I love the challenges and rewards of improving a person’s smile along with their self-esteem.
