These guys are just on a retarded level of fantastic. Never seen such a level of attention and care. Everything about their setup completely dispels the traditional dread of going to a dentist. Rooms are extremely cozy, laid back in a massage chair, tv on the ceiling with a headset to listen to, remote in hand. The lobby has a NINTENDO SWITCH FOR YOUR KIDS (what?!).The work: All types of dental related work COME HERE. As in no outsourcing for a dental surgeon, etc. They have their own specialist in every category. To give you an idea of their expertise level: I am a post decade alcoholic, heroin and speed addict with a couple years clean now. My teeth were wrecked. Was pretty certain my case was doomed and would be told to simply knock everything out and go old people status with a gummed denture. Not the case at all, Ive had about 5 visits and just told i got one side fillings completed…beautiful new looking teeth like I never did years of insane damage to them. I had remaining roots of teeth that were infected and causing me daily misery. I think i had 6 pulled…none of it hurt. They carefully apply topical analgesic and then a shot of lido or nova which i barely felt the poke thanks to the topical done first. Deep cleaning was the same experience, all smooth sailing. Its their policy to numb a patient for pretty much any, even slightly, invasive procedure. Office status. They are extremely organized. I get text reminders about my appointments roughly a week prior and the day off and via email. It allows direct replies with a “Y” or “N” to confirm or cancel your appointment. Parking. As they are up in Altadena, there is no such thing as parking traffic, but doesn’t matter, they have several dedicated parking spots adjacent to their building, which of course are never full as they only service a maximum of 2 people at any time. 5/5. Stop thinking, stop reading this. Give them your teeth business along with all previously conceived stereotype horrors of going to the dentist.

This place was AMAZING. One of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. I was going to another dental office and had a terrible experience, but Altadental changed everything for me. They have a calming aesthetic, massage dental chairs, tvs on the ceiling and lavender essential oils around their office. They were extremely transparent about pricing with insurance and going through work needed. Also super receptive to feedback and seeing what worked and didnt work during my cleaning. Cannot wait to go back.

I had my first visit today, & let me tell you, it was fantastic. You walk in & someone is there to great you. If you’re new, they have a tablet that you fill out pretty easily. My appointment was at 10:15 & I was in the room laying back by 10:20 at the latest. Amanda was the assistant that came in first to do x-rays. I have a bad tooth & she was very conscientious of that & gave me breaks between biting down without me even having to ask. She was very professional, personable & you can tell she loves her job. Another girl named Cash helps with the cleaning (I don’t know the proper dentist term). She had a big smile on her face & honestly helped calm me down. She was very kind & considerate.Natalie (aka Dr. Dare – her last name is Derboghossians, so I shortened it with her permission) came into the room a short amount of time after Amanda had left. She foo was very kind & personable. She listened to what I had to say & what I needed done rather than that normal doctor mentality where what the patient wants goes in one ear & out of the other. They have a credit line & also offer a payment plan up to 6 months because, let’s face it, a lot of us struggle with financials. I also love that they do root canal’s & the whole shabang in one office. They also have a tv above you when you’re in your dentist chair& beat headphones to accompany the tv. The bathroom is clean too, which always matters to me. I would recommend this dentist to everyone. With the combination of friendliness, punctuality, empathy, & cleanliness, this dentist office will be around for a long time.

One word: AMAZING! I have never looked forward to visiting a dentist office until now (even with the cavities I have to come back and fix). This office is professional, efficient, calming, and perfect! Everyone is sweet, professional, and helpful as soon as you enter. This isn’t your average dentist- you are not simply a money sign, you are actually valued! They offer water refreshments as you sign in, have a TV on the ceiling for you to watch while they work on your teeth, and talk you through everything. There was NOTHING that they completed without explaining it first. They were also very informative on treatment plans/resources like the essence of water piks. From my experiences at other dentists I can truly speak highly of this establishment because it is everything a dentist should be! You feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated when you walk through that door. That being said be considerate to them. They do NOT overbook- I was the ONLY one in there when I arrived for my appointment and as I was leaving another patient was barely arriving. They value patients time by reserving time specifically for you- you are actually seen on time here so please be considerate when you’re late or need to cancel.

By far the best dental experience ever! First of all, the facilities are state of the art. When you enter, you are treated with friendly welcomes and attended to promptly. Once in treatment, you are pampered with televisions to quell your fears of the “dentist” by feeling at home. Once the dentist arrived, she was kind, courteous, and obviously most important, competent. She explained my diagnosis and discussed options (unlike other dentists who tell you what you have and what HAS to happen, otherwise…..), which made me feel like I actually have a say in my treatment other than “take it or leave it.” After my treatment, I realized this office doesn’t need the bells and whistles that I have never seen in any other office. The sheer competency and respect they give to their patients as actual human beings rather than imbeciles is most important. WOW! overall: GO THERE! It surpasses any and all expectations from the dreaded “dentist.” It’s truly a breath of fresh air to experience a dental visit like this. At this point, I will never allow my wife, kids, parents, and friends go anywhere other that the offices of Dr. D!

This place, in my experience, was an actual 5 stars! I’ve been to other places that had a 5 star dental offices but I still left unsatisfied. I did not feel that way about this dental office ! Found them on Yelp and the first thing that made me want to try this place out was the fact that there was no wait. I always find myself so frustrated to make an appointment just to wait 30-45 min to be seen. I am a very punctual person. I was greeted by a friendly smile, Jessica, and she asked me to sign some papers. Her energy off the bat made me feel comfortable. I must admit I get the jitters at the thought of going to the dentist but Jessica was so nice & friendly. Another thing I noticed was their professionalism! Other places, the staff talk about their weekends and other stuff. I get it, we’re all human! But I don’t think it’s professional to talk about personal stuff as a receptionist right in front of everyone. I never saw that here at this office. Everyone is very professional! Next thing I loved was the PRIVACY!!! I hate when i walk into a dentists and you see open rooms where you can see and hear everything right when you walk in. I don’t want to talk to my dentist about my teeth with someone in the corner of my eye. This place has its own rooms and they close the door. I love that !!! And most importantly the quality of the work! First time I came here, I was seen by the dentist and she took xrays and told me what should be done. There was no lecture or shame about my teeth! (Like the other places I have gone to, which is the reason why I looked for a new one and I’m so glad I did!!) The second visit, I had a deep cleaning done . I forgot her name (ahh sorry!!) but she was soooo friendly and she was quick and thorough. I didn’t feel anything! Even after local anesthesia, sometimes you can feel a lot of pressure but with her, I didn’t feel anything and she got EVERYTHING! I feel so much more confident about my teeth and I am so satisfied !! I can finally say I trust a dentist and a hygienist and I’m in good hands.

I have NEVER felt so welcomed, taken care of… I wish I could make this 10 stars, and I would with no hype. These folks are caring, loving and respectful of my time. A long overdue review. I’ve always dreaded going to the dentist due to the awful experiences i’ve had in the past. Everything from booking the initial appointment all the way to sitting in Dr. Nat’s chair for multiple procedures has been a smooth, seamless, and most of all- pleasant experience. The entire staff at this office from the front desk, assistants, and Dr. D’s husband Norvan have always gone above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. They never hesitate to answer any of the questions I’ve had. + additional stars for the state of art, advanced technical equipment they have and also for having such a clean, immaculate office! I no longer dread going to the dentist and look forward to booking any appointments with Dr. D. 🙂

Dr. Natalie unfortunately had an emergency so she wasn’t at the office today, but it was no inconvenience. I was helped out by Jessica I believe and she made the login super easy and quick. Offered me water a couple times and they called me in quick. I have a baby brain thanks to my pregnancy and I can’t seem to remember the assistants name nor the dentist’s name, but they were so courteous. I got a tour of the whole office and the assistant sat me down in a nice massage chair, offered lavender scents and gave me the remote to change the channel on the tv that was hanging on the ceiling. Wow can I say amazing?? I felt like I was at the spa, everyone was so sweet and caring, they doubled checked everything before hand so my baby and I were safe with whatever we did at my visit. The dentist was very informative on what procedures I needed to get done and when it would be the best time to have them done. Never have been to the dentist and I was so embarrassed from my cavities but they made me feel comfortable and told me everything would be okay. They really make you feel like a person, almost family rather than just another patient/number. At the end of my visit I got a goodie bag and an appointment card. Lots of people don’t like the dentist but I already love it, even if it includes a little pain, the customer service and warm smiles really makes up for it! A+, I’m so glad I chose Altadental 🙂

This is a great office. My neighbor referred me. A few weeks ago I had the initial assessment with Dr Natalie and X-rays. After that I came in for my cleaning. Today I went in for two fillings and I had an old silver filling that was cracked. Dr Natalie was able to do all three fillings today – thanks for saving me another trip:). She was gentle when anesthetizing the sites which I really appreciated. Her assistant, Amanda, also made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. Her receptionist, Jessica, and her husband and business manager, Norvan, are both very kind, welcoming and professional. And they take Medi-Cal. Highly recommended!!!

I’ve seen Dr. Natalie now for two cleanings, and today two fillings. I have severe anxiety with any dental work and I tend to have the vasovagal response (pass out) with anything to do with needles, so I’m usually doing my best to avoid the dentist. However, my last cleaning was the best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist office, i didn’t want to leave lol! And today, while I did have anxiety, everyone in the office from the front desk to the tech to the dr herself did everything they could to help calm my worries and make the experience as painless and easy as possible. Each time I visit, my dentist fears are lessened. I highly recommend them to anyone who doesn’t like going to the dentist. And a note about one of the other reviews, this is a family run business not a corporate dentist office which means the personal attention to each patient is top priority. It also means you might have to schedule a little further out for regular dental work, but honestly I’ve never run into that issue. They have always been accommodating and willing to get me in as soon as I need, even going the extra mile and calling me to let me know if an earlier appointment opens up. If I could give this office 10 stars I would! Best dental experience in my life!

I cannot express how satisfied I am with this company. Let me try though:) First off the staff is amazing! They are really well-qualified and more importantly their nice people unlike other dentist offices. I usually dread going to the dentist (just like everyone else does) but this place actually gave me new Hope that there are dentist out there who actually care about their patients and not just numbers on a paper . I would honestly say that if I could give this place 20 stars I would ! This place is absolutely righteous and totally saved my life. The atmosphere is spectacular, right when you walk in the clinic you’re greeted with welcomed smiles and soft music. If I knew about this place earlier I would’ve just gone to altadental . Very down to earth and a great energy from all the staff ! Why go to other dentist offices that actually could give two shits about you when you could just go to Alta-dental and have an amazing experience with beautiful people. The location is amazing! Also not to brag but I’m from Altadena and I love local businesses in my area. Especially ones that are about change and good juju 🙂 If your local in the Altadena area you absolutely need to go to this place because there’s no reason not to I mean the people there are just so amazing and they actually care about your well-being and health unlike other dentist that I’ve been to. I’m actually a resident dj in the Altadena area and I’m starting to promote for them just out of love because I see the love put into altadental 🙂 Also price’s are very reasonable 😉 ! Best dentist experience hands down.I’m alway apprehensive about going to a new dentist or physician. From the moment I stepped in the office, I was comfortable and felt taken care of. The facility is beautiful and caters to the patient from the comfortable chairs, to the window right in front of you when you’re sitting in the chair, to the TV on the ceiling for when your chair is reclined. I embarrassingly do not remember the first name of Natalie’s husband, but he was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Most notably, I was told to select the music that I wanted to listen to during my appointment! I felt like I was getting my teeth worked on as a guest in their home. Natalie and her assistant (again, I am terrible with names) are incredible. Their tools are modern and they do not create discomfort, nor does their technique. Everything was explained to me clearly and I felt comfortable about the entire visit. I also thought that the lavender oil that was clipped to my bib was an awesome touch. The whole experience was beyond what I was expecting and could have ever expected. A NEW STANDARD OF DENTIST VISITS THAT WILL BE INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO BEAT.

Dr. Natalie and Adriana are very nice people, they show interest and seem to care about their patients, as well as Norvan. Ok, first let’s say that I am one of those people that has been frightened of the dentist for my entire life! I’m in my 50s,so that is pretty long time. I have been to quite a few dentists over the years and none of them were ever able to put me at ease. That changed last year when I first went to see Dr Derboghossians. It was the very best experience. Pain free, comfortable, honest and wonderful people are just part of what makes this place the very best. Let me start by saying I HATE going to the Dentist. BUT this was they best experience I’ve had so far. I was greeted by Jenny, she was very nice and welcoming. I was called in for x-rays and I hate getting x-rays done because I feel like I’m going to choke. But they worked with me and it was so quick that I didn’t have time to panic. They use a handheld x-ray machine. Very high tech. The girl was nice and had a great attitude. The doctor Natalie was very nice and explained my dental plan to me. She took her time answering all my questions. The oral hygienist was nice and didn’t hurt me. In the past cleanings have hurt and felt uncomfortable. But not this time. She was gentle and took her time. I loved that they had tvs on the ceiling and headphones for me. It was a great experience. I will definitely tell my family and friends about my great experience.

Let me just start by saying that Altadental is a game-changer in the world of dentistry and if I could give them 10 stars I would. The office is beautiful and has great energy, the aroma of Lavender comforts you as you go through your procedure. Dr. Derboghossians is sweet and fantastic, Norvan the co-owner is awesome, and Cash and all the other dental hygienists are super friendly. They recently referred me to a dental surgeon to have a molar removed and It was THE WORST and MOST traumatizing experience I have ever had with a dentist. The next work day I visited Altadental to let them know of the terrible experience I had. Tears and all, they took the time to sit and listen to me. They felt so bad and wanted to help in any way they could, including cleaning the infection the other dentist didn’t take the time to do. Many people can agree that going to the dentist can cause anxiety due to past experiences. The people at Altadental understand this and are extremely comforting. I am so grateful that such a great dentist and kind staff take my insurance and treat me like a person!

I came in with a broken tooth and found out there is no saving the tooth so it had to be pulled , I was terrified! They calmed me down with LAVENDER!! My favorite scent EVER! I don’t have dental insurance so of course I was stressing about the cost but they fully worked with me without hesitation. During the procedure , I was incredibly scared since I’ve never had a tooth pulled before and I got sick ( totally caused by my own nerves ) , which of course does not happen often to normal people ( I’m always the rare case , go figure) Well, in the mist of it all ,they stayed calm and took such amazing care of me. I am forever grateful for their kind souls and I will never go to another dentist again. They are stuck with me now. A dentist appointment is never exactly “enjoyable” until I met this power couple! I fully recommend them 1000%

I found this office because of its reviews on Yelp and it does not disappoint! The staff are always friendly (calling me by my first name every time I’m there), the space is warm and inviting, and everything is updated and intentional: from the massage chairs to the TVs on the ceiling during procedures (!!) to the diffusing of essential oils. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time because of having no dental insurance and so I had several cavities that needed to be filled but I never felt shamed or judged by the staff. Then when I had a slight issue (discomfort, really) a few days after a procedure Dr. Natalie fit me in and fixed the problem literally within minutes, free of charge. I’m so glad I found this office.

In 2016, I visited Dr. Natalie for the first time. Needless to say, with all of the worrying and anxiety I felt in finding a Dentist to meet my needs it was a daunting experience. She immediately eased my nerves and if you have read other reviews you get right away that the staff at Altadental are awesome! When my child had an emergency, instead of turning us away – Dr. Natalie found time to meet with my family to ensure everything was okay. I am so happy to have found such a welcoming practice. I have never felt like I have had to advocate and push on the staff what my concerns and hopes are. They have listened and together we have made plans that are best for my family’s overall health. I have shopped many places and Altadental has exceeded my expectations. The ideal that kindness goes a long way truly encompasses my family’s experience at Altadental, and we are grateful to have found such a wonderful Dentist and practice!

I just wanted to stop in and say how much I LOVE this place. Yes, LOVE!!!! I didn’t think I was capable of using such a phrase to describe a dental facility. Honestly, if a group of Angels descended from heaven and decided to band together to open a dentist office, it would be this place. I say this because EACH AND EVERY soul who works here is genuine, cares about people, practices kindness and compassion, and values treating other human beings well above anything else. While other dentists are unethical and sell un-needed services, this office actually does the opposite. I actually ASKED them for Novocaine for a dental cleaning I thought might be uncomfortable. Most other offices would have jumped on the opportunity but my dentist, my hygienist recommended trying some topical gel first. It worked so well, my cleaning was quick and painless. The hygienist was SO SKILLED the best I’ve ever seen in 33 years. While other places make it feel like a constant poking at the gums, her work was so light and gentle. I was seriously shocked how comfortable I was. In the meanwhile one of the assistants was so kind to offer me headphones for the television, and applied lavender oil near me to help me with relaxation. Yes, LAVENDER OIL!!! The whole experience feels like a spa that I’d gladly pay for. I’ve had a better experience here than my last visit to the masseuse, no kidding. When I first arrived I was offered water since it was hot outside. Who does that these days? Only angels I tell you. Also the whole facility is IMPECCABLY clean and smells so good. The high tech check-in makes you feel like you time traveled into the future. They cared about me, more than I cared about me, honestly! How is this possible?? Every time I voiced a concern, Natalie was listening intently and would be sure to tend to my concerns while being extra attentive as to not cause any discomfort. She was so patient and kind. As was everyone else in her office. This place is a GODSEND. No wonder there’s a month long wait to get in. But trust me my friends, it’s WORTH THE WAIT!!! 150%!!! I would gladly wait even a year for them. Do yourself a favor and come here. You won’t regret it. This is coming from a person who has a history of 33 years fearing the dentist, until I saw them. Yes, a life changing moment. Kind of like meeting the love of your life 🙂

The entire staff at Altadental was amazing and provided me with the best dental experience ever. The entire process from scheduling my initial appointment, checking in at the front desk, Initial prep by the dental assistant and the doctor visit to make recommendations was easy. The 2nd visit for my dental work recommended was even better… the electronic signature was a breeze and the payment at the end was very easy to complete and the total fees was explained in full and reasonably priced. The experience of having filling was also great both the dental assistant and the dentist did a great job making me feel comfortable and did the work quick and efficient. The tv mounted on the ceiling and the beats by Dre headphones was a very classy touch. The part that resonated the most was the entire office smelled great – not even close to what a dental office should smell like.. no hospital feeling to this place at all. Great job guys

I honestly could not be more satisfied. Every interaction I’ve had with any member of their faculty has been a pleasure and has served as reassurance that I am receiving the best service possible. I was completely lost when I was looking for a new dentist because realistically how do you go and find credible reviews on dentists? So I posted on a community based app, requesting any and all personal referrals and Altadental was the most reoccurring name. I called and Jessica set up my initial visit in minutes. Jessica is exceptionally thorough, accurate and professional. She made me feel as if I had been their patient for years even though it was the first time I had ever spoken to her and over the phone on top of everything. I remember the first time I walked in I thought that it was a rather small waiting room since there’s only about 6 seats but after having gone a few times now I would like to recommend that they make their wait room even smaller because I have never had to wait more than 2 mins and that’s even when I’ve shown up 5 mins early for my appointment. Donna was my hygienist and she was great! She Made sure that I understood my current situation and how she intended to go about it. Then during the process she seemed to have my it her main priority that I remained comfortable and confident which was immensely appreciated. Dr. Natalie was my dentist and even though everyone who referred her to me was raving about how skilled she is, I left feeling as if they still didn’t do her justice. Dr.Natalie is swift and painless, so much so to the point that I take any chance possible to refer her and Altadental to people in need of a dentist. This is easily the longest review I’ve ever given on here, but this was me trying to keep it short. The absolute best.

My dentist was so good I would drive 30 to 40 minutes to see him and his great staff. We moved to Altadena and I was looking for a dentist. I looked on Yelp and discovered Altadental had several glowing reviews. Well the reviews were spot on. Dr Natalie and Norvan put the needs of the customer/patient first. They have a flatscreen tv mounted to the ceiling above your chair. You can have scented oil in your room during your cleaning. They have headphones for you if you wish. Is it a spa? It seems like it. I have yet to feel any pain or uncomfortableness while getting a cleaning there. Super nice staff. You can’t go wrong with Altadental.

When I relocated back to southern California, I realized my former dentist in the Bay area had spoiled me–I had gotten used to watching a television on the ceiling while I had my dental work and being treated with the latest and greatest technology. Sooooo… I tried Altadental and Altadental has “one-uped” my expectations in the most wonderful way! In addition to the things I’m used to from my former dental office, Altadental also provides massage chairs, aromatherapy, transparent pricing, and incredible, incredible, incredible service!! I’m so grateful that Altadena has another gem – first El Patron and now ALTADENTAL! I hadn’t seen a dentist in 3 years, mainly because I believed they were ‘upselling’ me on products, procedures, and services I simply didn’t need, plus telling me my insurance was awful and next to useless. After visiting Altadental I realized I’d been right! They also told me my insurance was “one of the better ones.” Every moment of my first visit was top-notch: the staff is ultra-caring; the office is beautifully appointed; they go out of your way to make you feel comfortable and cared for. Professional at every level. By the end of my first visit, which included a consultation and cleaning – complete with ultra-refined portable x-rays (way more svelte than anything I’ve seen before) PLUS intra-oral handheld HD video that I could watch so I knew EVERYTHING that was going on – I was convinced this was the best place to be. And the cherry on top? Thanks to my AARP Delta Dental plan that visit was NO CHARGE! Take THAT old dentist! I’m going back tomorrow to have a small cavity filled – not bad after 3 years away – and will follow up on what that’s like. All I can say right now is that, if you think going to the dentist involves pain, discomfort and needless expense think again! Thank you Nirvan, Nathalie and everyone at Altadental!

There is a reason this Dental Office and Dr. Natalie have garnered 5 stars on Yelp: they are simply the best on every level. Every member of the team is poised, knowledgeable, considerate, and a joy to interact with. The facility itself is charming and obviously strives to cater to its patients from the equipment, and cheerful decor, to a palpable spa vibe complete with Lavender fragrance and a massage chair with music and tv for teeth cleaning, x-ray work, and Dr. Natalie’s time with her patients. I just cannot stress enough the ease and comfort of dental visits when I know it will be with Dr. Natalie!

Service from Juana was great. The x-ray tech, I believe her name is Adriana & Norvan (Dr. Natalie’s husband) were also super nice & informative. I was the last in our family to visit Altadental (my two young kids (ages 9 1/2 and 3 1/2) and husband all have been). I don’t love going to the dentist but believe it can be a good experience. Dr. D is THE best dentist I have ever seen.The office is state of the art, with all the latest technology, which I love, and super clean. Beyond that though, she is skilled, warm, down to earth, engaging, on time, and efficient. The entire staff is pleasant and professional. And, I love being able to see a dentist in town. She isn’t a pediatric dentist but her practice is set up for children (TV, books, gaming station in lobby, Where’s Waldo kids exam room, ceiling TVs, treasure chest, and child goody bag w kids toothpaste, toothbrush, timer, and backpack key chain). Our entire family sees her, now, and she is the best dentist I’ve ever seen. She takes most PPO insurance.

The best dental experience I’ve ever had. I have not been to the dentist in over 10 years. I have an extreme phobia of dental procedures. I completed a patient form, dental insurance form as well as scheduled an appointment all online. It was super convenient and received a text requesting confirmation of my appointment a few days later. I was greeted by Norvan (husband of Dr. Natalie Derboghossians) with a friendly smile, was given an office tours and a bit of history of how Dr. Natalie Derboghossians open her own dental practice. Then Adriana took X-rays of my teeth and explained to me that Dr. Natalie Derboghossians would access the condition of my teeth. Adriana made sure multiple times that I was comfortable while taking the x-rays. I then met Dr. Natalie Derboghossians she went into great detail regarding my teeth condition. She let me know what caused damage to a few of my teeth as well as what treatments they would do to counteract the damage. Lastly Adriana went over the true costs of my dental procedures, what insurance would cover and what I was estimated to pay out of pocket. The whole experience was exceptional, friendly and professional. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you Altadental!
