Dr Alvarez is a wonderful dentist! He’s knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner, and truly cares about his patients comfort and well being. He takes his time and explains treatment options clearly. I moved out of state but still make trips back to New York just so I can see him. He’s that amazing!

Everyone here was very friendly and kind right from the beginning. Rodrigo was welcoming right from when we first walked in together and he answered all of my questions about the space. Ricardo, the dental hygienist, was also friendly and cleaned my teeth without causing pain. The space looked modern, clean, and tasteful. The rooms have flat screen TVs and since its a new establishment the chairs are all new and comfortable. They are new to the neighborhood but have over a decade of expertise in dentistry. Happy to have found a dentist so close that I like!

Best dental office in NYC. Hands down! If You are looking for a dentist with passion for what he does, professional crew around him and with state of the art equipment look no further. Dr. Alvarez has a massive knowledge about the field and he strives to make your experience to be as pleasant as possible. He reshapes the standard image You might have had from the past bad experiences with dentists. The office manager Mr. Rodrigo does an excellent job at making the whole process seamless. Alvarez Smile Design made me believe in dentists again. Highly recommended!

I have to say that I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dentist’s office before. First of all, it was so easy to make an appointment through the phone. A very friendly person, Rodrigo, made my appointment. He greeted me as I had walked in and in less than 10 minutes was called in for my consultation and cleaning. My x-rays and cleaning were thoroughly done well and very delicately. The dentist hygienist, Ricardo, did an excellent job and was very nice. He addressed all my concerns and made me feel at ease. Lastly, I met Dr. Alvarez and he was very professional, friendly, and he finalized the ending of my visit. I really recommend Alvarez Smile Design!

Out of all the dental offices I’ve visited, I’m having the greatest experience here. Dr. Alvarez is a very responsible dentist who will always make sure you are satisfied with the experience before you leave the place. They listened to patients feedback and remained flexible when it comes to making choices and decisions. I had an experience with them getting a new night guard. The first one that they gave to me was too tight and uncomfortable, so they just asked the lab to make another replacement that’s softer and more like the one that I used to wear, without extra charge. I’m thankful that I’m feeling way more comfortable wearing it afterwards. Besides Dr. Alvarez, l the other dentist Jason and the receptionist Rodrigo were also very friendly and nice and responsible.

Overall had a great experience at this office. Everyone was kind and helpful in all ways. Rodrigo (office manager) was quick to respond to any questions and or concerns. Dr. Alvarez was informative and explained step by step the procedures to take place. I was very happy with my visit. Office was also clean.

Had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Alvarez and his team. Everyone was super nice and attentive, ensuring safety w/r/t to covid rules and overall cleanliness. The dentist actually did my cleaning, as opposed to hygienists who’ve done my cleanings at other offices, and he spent over an hour with me, answering all questions and giving me a lot dental advice, specific to my concerns. The cleaning and exam were thorough and checked all the boxes. Really could not have had a better experience from start to finish!

I’m so relieved that I’ve found a dentist I trust who I’m actually excited to see! The staff is amazing and kind, the office is nice and clean and they’ve been taking Covid precautions seriously which I really appreciate!! Couldn’t complain about anything, I’m really happy with all my experiences here.

After much anticipation and lots of research- looking for a new dentist, I found ASD. Today was my first visit and I was very, very pleased from start to finish. The office was immaculate and I was seen at my scheduled time. The dental hygienist (Ricardo) was very gentle and warm while cleaning my teeth and took time to explain the reason why I may be experiencing bleeding when I brush. Doctor Alvarez came in shortly after and then explained my x-rays with understanding and suggested some dental work I knew was necessary because my previous dentist who no longer accepts my insurance had advised me. Unfortunately, I will have to look for yet another dentist because I was informed today my insurance will no longer be accepted here by the end of February 🙁 However, I am so glad that they will do the dental work I need before my insurance goes out of network with them. Thank you Rodrigo for being so welcoming at the front desk and informed. I would highly recommend ASD for those looking for a dentist!

This dentist office is by far the cleanest and nicest I’ve ever been to. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. Checking into reception with Rodrigo was smooth, Dr. Alvarez and his staff answered all of my questions and concerns. And by far the best this visit was the best annual cleaning I’ve ever had in my life! 2 years of espresso stains, GONE! I am 100 percent recommending this office to my union brothers and sisters! And I will definitely be coming back for my other needed services. Thank you for being awesome!

I am very happy I found this dental office. Everyone from the beginning to end of the visit gave me an exceptional care. The experience here was great, clean and spacious room where i got both my x-ray and cleaning taken care of. I truly appreciate how informative and the options given to me regarding my dental health. After Ricardo(dental hygienist) finished with my cleaning Dr. Alvarez came in to discuss my dental health and even showed me image’s of my teeth on a screen installed in this very same room. Super thourough, something I have not gotten in years. On my way out Rodrigo( office manager) made sure to take care of my follow up visits and provided me with more insurance information. Thank you to the team, you have gained a long term patient.

Alvarez Dental is fantastic. The office staff is incredibly friendly, and they clearly take patient care and satisfaction to heart. Additionally, the office is immaculate. Going to the dentist can be an overwhelming experience, but Alvarez Dental makes you feel comfortable.

If you are looking for a fabulous dentist, then you’ve come to the right place! I was in the market for a new dentist a few years ago when my prior dentist retired and was absolutely thrilled to have found Dr. Alvarez! Dr. Alvarez takes the time to get to know his patients and thoroughly explains things in a manner you can understand. He puts you at ease from the moment you sit in his chair. I have moved out of the area and no longer have Dr. Alvarez close by, but I still receive complements from other dentists on the fabulous job he did on a crown for me a number of years ago. I can’t say enough good things about this guy. Give him a chance to design that special smile for you!

Every single part of this experience was great. From the ease of booking the appointment, to the hygienist, to the dental checkup. Rodrigo, the office manager, was so friendly and accommodating. He made it easier for my son and I to be seen at the same time. Ricardo gave the best cleaning I have ever had. Dr. Alvarez was also a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable when asking questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Now my whole family will be patients of Dr. Alvarez.

So far I’ve had a regular and deep cleaning at Alvarez Smile Design. Dr. Alvarez and his staff have been professional and done good work for me. The office is modern and clean, which is always a huge plus for a dental provider. I have some major dental work scheduled here in the coming months, so I’ll report back, but I’m fairly confident that they will deliver.

I have not gone to the dentist since 2015 when I removed all four wisdom teeth. It was a dramatizing experience when I got that procedure and avoided going back to the dentist. Now due to my own fault of mine, I started to feel pain in my upper right area. I looked up a close dental and found Alvarez Smile Design who is here in Hells Kitchen. Once I called their office the receptionist was very helpful and answered all of my questions. They send me an email to fill out the required forms prior to my visit. They also send me a text to confirm my appointment and I was all set. They welcomed me and I didn’t have to fill out my paperwork again. They had everything. The waiting time was less than 10min due to sanitizing of course. The assistant was very informative of what will be done and helped me understand the steps of my dental health. He took my x-ray, did the cleaning and was very caring in the area where I was feeling pain. I didn’t feel any pain while I was getting my routine cleaning. After I got my routine cleaning the dentist came in and confirm what his assistant had already informed me. He took the time to show me models of what my teeth looked like now and how it would look after the procedure. Everyone practiced social distance and clean. They kindly ask you to please come with a mask. They provide you with a type of glasses that covers your eyes while they work on your dental. Am truly glad I came here for my dental routine check up. I defiantly recommend Alvarez Dental Smile.

I have experienced the absolute best service from interacting over the phone to the friendly text reminders but even more importantly the direct contact from the administrative staff Rodrigo his customer service is above n beyond and never leaves a question unanswered without a follow-up and just brings a comfortable accepting feeling as does Dr Alvarez . They have worked with me and the service is absolutely top quality . Dr Alvarez is and has his staff never alliw customers to leave the office without being fully informed and comfortable . Office is clean n friendly and the care is consistent . I feel safe n cared for . Highly recommend .

Best dentist experience of my life! Office is so quiet and clean and peaceful. Staff is pleasant and professional! My cleaning didn’t hurt at all and I felt so relaxed. I’m usually so anxious. I also found out my former dental place was completely dishonest and billed my insurance for services I didn’t need. I’m so happy I found a great place I can walk to!

Overall, staff and Dr. Alvarez were very friendly, professional, and welcoming! He is super patient and answers any questions or concerns you may have. There faculty is very clean and definitely are following COVID protocols. Which is something my family and I look for in a place- making sure everything is clean. Him and his staff speak Spanish which is a plus!
