What can I say besides she is one of a kind for sure! Met her at a healthfair and loved her energy! Asked if she saw kids? She said kids love me! I have a 5yr old son who was traumatized his last dental visit and it was so hard to take him to any other place but she told me she will work on both of us so he can see everything will be fine. Well guess what? She was exactly right! He fell in love with her and she was so gentle and friendly with him!!! Besides being a fantastic dentist, Dr. Ali is an artist when it comes to injectables. My first time getting fillers was a wonderful experience because she is so gentle with the needles that you barely feel it. Not only do I look great, but I feel great. Most doctors can be rough with injections and she was not. If anyone is looking to get fillers done, botox or lip enhancement, Dr. Ali is your person. You will not look like you “had something done” with over-the-top duck lips or over-the-top cheeks like you see in Hollywood. You will look like a better natural version of you and people will just see how great you look. No one will know you had anything done. She is very knowledgeable and really takes her time in evaluating your face and listening to your needs and concerns. I have not tried Botox yet but I may consider that in the future. I also tried Kybella with Dr. Ali, which is the injectable that permanently melts double chin fat. It’s FDA approved so it is safe. It really helped me with my hereditary double chin that has always plagued me. I feel amazing. Aging is inevitable but looking like the crypt keeper is not an option. LOL Thank you Dr. Ali for making me feel beautiful again.

If you’re looking for a thorough review on Dr. Noreen, please see below. I’ve been looking for a dentist in NYC for the past 5 years, and I did what you all are doing right now–which is use yelp to find the best person to do the job. Because other peoples’ experiences are CRITICAL for passing judgment/choosing a health care provider. Let me just start by saying that the most important things for me in a dentist are: 1. Expertise 2. Trustworthiness 3. Painlessness and sensitivity towards patient I had a few things I wanted her to fix, which was to (A) change my silver fillings to porcelain white (I have 12 of them) and (B) fix my front tooth (which has been chipped in the past and not-so-perfectly repaired by another dentist). I’ve so far got my half of my fillings done–and will be posting an additional review along the way on my chipped tooth–but here are my thoughts so far. 1. She’s excellent. On my first visit, I only told her I wanted fillings (just to see if she’d notice my front tooth, bc dentists usually don’t). I opened my mouth and the FIRST thing she asked me was about my front tooth. [Attention to detail.] 2. I’m VERY particular about my teeth. I don’t trust dentists because in the past, many have tried to push extra services on me in THEIR own interests, not mine. Noreen is the exact opposite. She told me she would address the health issues first, then worry about the pretty stuff. 3. On that^ note, she’s also very real about insurance and your financial situation. She’s honest and transparent and broke down everything for me when I asked her. That’s VERY important because medical bills are REAL. 4. She did my fillings with NO pain. ZERO. You know why? Because she doesn’t stab needles in your mouth–she’s careful and COMPASSIONATE. She tries (and succeeds) to get in there in the swiftest, most delicate way–she has skilled hands. She told me that she’d take as long as she needed for me to feel the least pain. I’d NEVER heard that from a dentist before. I have also NEVER walked out of a dentist’s office feeling no pain–this was my FIRST time. I literally can’t wait to go back and do the remaining teeth. 5. She explains EVERYTHING she’s doing. She flipped on a screen, strapped a small camera to her main tool and literally walked me through everything STEP by STEP. I understand what’s happening in my mouth and how to better take care of it as a result. 6. She gets to know you before you sit in her chair. She’s extremely nice, funny, and open-minded. A total sweetheart. She made me feel so comfortable. 7. She’s a PRO -she’s been doing this for over 20 years and has seen everything under the sun. She has literally been the best health care provider I’ve ever been to. Medical, Dentist, or otherwise (and I’ve seen my fair share of doctors). I’ve never ever ever co-signed a dentist or doctor before, but Noreen is my first co-sign and I’m just so passionate about this because I’m not sure why it took so long for me to find her OR live an experience like this. I dedicated a post to her on my Instagram page @aalamarra and so many people have already expressed interest in booking an apt with her/have done so already and agree with me. I completely trust her with my front teeth and can’t wait to get back on here and post the results for you guys to see.

I recently had a painful toothache (6-19-17) and while working in the city I searched for a dentist around Park Ave and 50th Street. I found Dr Ali and I am thankful I made a smart decision. Dr Ali saw that I had an infected root canal on my front tooth and she was able to do the work. She performed the root canal right away and within the hour my pain was gone. She saw me again to complete the root canal. I went back for a cleaning and full checkup after that. I will continue using Dr Ali. I highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed or overcharged for any work. She explains everything and she’s very fair and kind to her patients. Thanks Dr Ali.

I am one of the biggest babies when it comes to dental work, and not only did she ease my anxieties, but she did the best job ever on my mouth. I give her a ten star rating. That’s how good she is. After my FIFTH visit to see Dr. Ali, I finally need to testify! She and her co-worker Fatima are amazing, kind, non-judgmental, and awesome! I had gone a quarter-century without seeing a dentist. Finally, my mouth was in too much discomfort to continue this questionable streak, and on a recommendation, I called Dr. Ali. Absolutely the right decision! She did an amazingly thorough initial cleaning and assessment, with x-rays, and we talked about a good way to approach the situation in my mouth. We divided it up into quarters, and now, about two months after my first visit, I’ve got a pain-free and nice-looking set of choppers again! She’s also very hip and not overly serious (except when doing the work), has interesting art to look at while getting worked on, and gave me my choice of music to listen to (my choice, Coltrane and Ellington, was pretty far from her usual chill electronica, but she put up with it!). And she wants you to understand what’s going on in your mouth, so is thorough about explaining things. I totally recommend seeing Dr. Ali for dental work, especially if you’ve neglected tooth care for a while and need to set things right again. Total pro.

I wish I could give Dr. Ali more stars because I would. She is, by far, the best dentist I have ever been to. There is so much to say so I will make bullet points: – She is super smart, patient with explanations of what is happening in your mouth and seeks to want to educate you about your options so you can make informed decisions. -Her interactions with you are on point. She does not overbook so you are not rushed in and rushed out. She sits there, talks to you, is genuinely interested in you and does not bury her nose in your chart as she is listening. Her rapport with patients is great. I had a tailbone injury when I saw her today so she stopped multiple times to give me time to stretch and move. There was no feeling that she was irked in any way about spending so much time with her patients. -I do not like needles but today was the least stressful of any trip to the dentist. I got numbing gel on my gums, a tiny needle to numb up and then, the other ones one that one kicked in. It is a patient driven approach that means 5 more minutes for her but gains a long term patient. -Her office is small, neat, clean and well organized. The machines and chair are new and there is no confusion that I have seen at other offices (people cannot find charts, equipment). -She works with you to figure out how you can pay for the services and deals well with insurance. -Her adept and dexterous hygienist, Fatima, essentially, a virtuoso with the suction straw! -Misc: great music playing, paid by card, emailed receipt, central part of town. Dr. Ali is funny and kind. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a dentist.

Dr. Ali is a dedicated dentist with a skill so finely honed she’s got the eye of an artist. She’s very knowledgeable and loves her work so she really gives it her all. While I had another dentist further from my job location, I decided to try someone closer (not exactly top priority with it comes to your teeth). I honestly was not disappointed. The purpose of my visit was *only* to inquire about teeth whitening — Dr. Ali, however, went above and beyond. She began cleaning my teeth, saying that it will help the whitening. Then she continued with buffing the bonding (?) that was put on my two front teeth from previous chips (simply because they were not smooth). She noted some points on previous fillings, and minor darker stains I had not known existed. Then showed compassion about my stress levels or various scientific reasons why I might be grinding my teeth — *which* I had zero idea I even did! On top of that, her assistant took the time to do a quick check to see if my insurance covered the night guard. This is all to say that Dr. Ali felt like a genuine contribution to my health. Why?? Because everything I mentioned was on a first appointment to *only* take impressions of my teeth for the whitening. I felt I came for outward cosmetic reasons, and left with some inner/root benefits to my entire teeth set. Thanks Doc!! I went to see Dr. Ali after a friend recommended me to her. I had been suffering from an uneven bite that had been causing me constant, unrelenting pain…even during my sleep. I had sought help from multiple dentists and specialists, all of whom were unable to correct it. In only one try, and literally within 5 minutes, Dr. Ali was able to correct my bite using a specific technique she was trained in and I have not had any pain in the two years since. She is not only extremely competent in her craft, she is a healer and I couldn’t recommend her more.

Going far above and beyond the call of duty, Dr. Ali spent far effort than any oral surgeon would to methodically perform my extraction, which ended up becoming unusually complex. Her careful, time-consuming steps minimized my post-operative pain, swelling, and recovery time. I only needed over-the-counter pain relievers for a day or so! I very quickly resumed eating and drinking normally. Likewise, Dr. Ali has gone the extra mile to ensure my Invisalign results are a smashing success. Dr. Ali practices in a clean, beautiful, and relaxing office conveniently near Rockefeller Center and many subway lines. Her personable staff members, notably Fatima, do a great job of keeping on top of everything. Amari Dentistry takes all the major insurance plans. The efficient staff will work with the insurance companies to straighten out any bureaucratic processes and issues!

I have been coming to Dr. Ali for two years. There are so many things that I appreciate about her practice. First of all, she treats her patients the way she would treat dear friends or family. Second, she is not pushy – I know when she recommends something, it is because in her medical judgment, it is the right thing to do for my health. Third, she personally does the cleanings and dental work herself, and she is a perfectionist, which means she won’t let you walk away with a rough edge, plaque, or stains. Finally, she is invested in wanting her patients to feel good about themselves. Some time ago, she asked me if I liked my smile. She didn’t have an agenda, or any product she was selling me. It took me a few years to make my way back to the dentist’s chair. Mostly because I had been busy poppin’ out babies and just thinking of the dental experience was enough to make me gag. But once I was ‘back to normal,’ I knew I was in desperate need of a cleaning. After all, I appreciate pearly white, disease-slash-problem free teeth. I’ve been going to Dr. Ali for years, and she really is the best dentist you can go to in the city. It was important for me to find a dentist that uses BPA free products and latex-free gloves due to allergies, and she’s extremely conscious with all of that stuff and keeps the office super clean! She’s also super knowledgable and took time to answer any questions I had. And she didn’t make recommendations for expensive procedures other dentists had made in the past, but instead, she laid out a plan that would actually be best for me. And Dr. Ali totally came through for me a couple of weeks before my wedding! She hooked me up with a bleaching kit that gave me the perfect pearly white smile for pictures… without any pain or sensitivity! Oh, and she’s probably the only dentist you’ll go to that’s not playing 106.7 lite FM in the background 🙂
