Before I met Dr. Jung, I hadn’t seen a dentist in more than a decade. Now, I’ve been visiting Dr. Jung’s office for over seven years and it’s like visiting friends. Dr. Jung, Mylene, Nikki, Amanda, Thuy (and Debbie, who’s retired), they’re all fantastic and my teeth are in great shape because of them! I’ve had dental woes at other clinics and Dr. Jung listens to me when I talk about my experiences. He asks me during procedures how I’m doing and I feel very safe with him. I love to hear “Good morning, Dr. Jung’s Dental Office. This is Mylene, I can help you.” It’s so soothing. I’m not always the best with coming in regularly, but each time I call to schedule an appointment, I receive greetings and her (and sometimes Nikki’s) friendly, calming voice. Take my recommendation: Dr. Jung is THE dentist of Long Beach, CA, and his staff are fantastic. If you ever see or receive a very friendly letter from him with two toothbrushes on it, one orange and one blue, consider it and pay him a visit. You won’t regret it!

I’ve been going to Dr. Jung’s office for years! The office is helmed by Mylene (hope I’m spelling it correct) with a warm motherly presence. I love her gentle reminders and, funny enough, all the encouragement in my personal life. Nikki is also another gem that has helped Dr. Jung perform wonders with my teeth. I’ve had my fillings changed to white and done many subtle cosmetic enhancements over the years and absolutely LOVE my results every time. Dr. Jung is such a pleasant and humble person that stands by his work. He is a perfectionist in all the right ways. I’ll be moving to the east coast soon, but you bet I’ll be coming back here every time I visit!

Best Dental Hygienist – Amanda! I have very sensitive teeth and have literally cried from past cleanings due to the sensitivity of my teeth. Past hygienists have used topical numbing gel and were careful, but still there would be pain and more numbing gel would be needed. This week, I had an appointment with Amanda for the first time. Of course, I started the appointment explaining the need for gallons of topical numbing gel! Amanda carefully listened as I explained my past experiences and how the power tools caused much more pain than the old fashion hand tools/scalers. As she reviewed my dental charts, she noticed comments about my dislike for the sonic care toothbrush. With this information, Amanda thought the high-frequency vibrations might be the cause of the pain. She suggested a special varnish, topical numbing gel and the lowest setting on the power scaler. As Amanda worked on my teeth, she was very careful and had a very controlled steady hand. It felt like the power scaler easily glided over my teeth. I think the varnish, along with the lower setting and Amanda’s technique of cleaning gave me my first complete pain free session! Besides being a great technician, she is incredibly nice and patient. I highly recommend her; Amanda is the best!

The most personality, character and connection I’ve felt in a Dentist’s Office yet. Myleen may truly be one of the friendliest and most helpful faces of any front office staff. Dr. Jung has great table side manner and so does his dental hygienist. They are great about making you feel comfortable, answering any questions and helping you remember your appointments. A strong receptionist and clinical team make this place a solid 5 stars in my book.

Man, keep forgetting to yelp Dr Jung and da crew………..been coming here so long [seems before yelp existed : at least within my consciousness]. Everyone here’s so helpful, attentive, professional and caring. Having received extensive orthodontic work & surgeries [re: broken jaw] throughout my reckless teens pre-Dr. J, [as I crest life’s proverbial hill] Dr Jung & Co have joyfully & expertly taken on [tooth by missing tooth, lol] the task of easing my journey along the other side …….. and like they say, “location, location, location” — restaurants/drug store mere steps away and accessible via major bus route and 405.Grab a bite, before appointment — get your teeth cleaned, get car washed across street & fill tank up as u hit the freeway (or head off to Target) !!!!

Dr. Jung and his team are the BEST!!!!I am like most people and hate visiting the dentist. I have a very low threshold for pain and no patience for delays, runarounds, or trickery.When I visit Dr. Jungs office, I don’t need to deal with any of the above. I have been to several dentists over the past several years and Dr. Jung is by far at the top of the list. I’ve now been to this office three separate times and each time I got consistent, gentle, and professional care.When I called for my initial appointment, I told them what a big chicken I was and they assured me that they would take care of me. That they did. They eased my discomfort by providing me detailed explanations of their procedures and various options to alleviate pain. It also helps that the dental assistants and receptionists are very kind and understanding.Making appointments and getting followup consultation and assistance with dealing with insurance companies is all taken care of by Myleen who always greets you with a positive attitude. She is definitely a straight shooter and someone you can count on to get you answers. I’ve dealt with several other dental offices who make you sit and wait even when you have a set appointment. I have also seen people who greet you with the kind of attitude that makes it obvious that they hate their jobs and dealing with people. There are also people out there who make it blatantly obvious that they want to extract as much money out of your pocket as possible. I am confident that I won’t experience any of those things when I visit Dr. Jung’s office.Dr. Jung and his team meet all of my impossibly high standards.Other perks:* There is always a lot of up to date reading material* They call you to remind you of appointments without being intrusive* The location is in an area with little to no traffic and congestion* There seems to always be free parking right in the front lot* Mustard’s Hot Dog is right around the corner

I’ve come here for years for teeth cleaning, xrays, and a filling. I know people that have gone for more intense dental work and this is one of those friendly, efficient clinics that doesn’t try to sell you on extra dental work other than you truly need, doesn’t judge you if you want one of those alternative dental treatments (porcelain fillings, for instance), and is really clear about the billing situation (one of the most lucid and efficient front office managers I’ve come across). I really, really, really liked my previous dentist, but he kept moving further and further south (45 miles is a bit far for me to drive for dental work) so I finally gave up and didn’t have work done until I found Dr. Jung and his friendly staff so close by.

WOW… how often do you have such a good experience at a dental checkup that you leave thinking, “I’d love to hang out with these peeps!”? Service was fast (no long wait; seen promptly at appt time). Dr. Jung completely countered BS “you need gum transplants” assessment from previous, money-seeking, dentist… as I already knew, I don’t need ANY gum transplants. EVERYONE on staff was incredible nice and accommodating. I’m THRILLED to have found a quality dentist near home!

I decided to this dental office due to the remarkable reviews, its close proximity to my location, and because my previous dentist disappointed me in her lack of professionalism. First off, the staff here are no joke–they are the most organized, planned out, and communicative staff for a dental office I have ever interacted with. Prior to my actual visitation, they sent all the paperwork months ahead of time in case I had free time to complete them whenever possible; just to make my check-in faster. They also were great when it comes to calling and confirming my insurance policy and coverage in a timely manner. Finally, they were great at calling a few days before my appointment and giving me a simple reminder.During the actual appointment, they explained everything that they were doing real-time so that I understood the procedures. This shows how, not only they care about your teeth, they also want you to care for your teeth and sometimes that is through knowledge.This was just for a teeth cleaning, so it was a dental hygienist who completed the procedure, but since it was my first visit there and I was a new patient, they told me Dr. Andrew Jung would also like to meet me and introduce himself while at the same time also double-checking my teeth (ex. for cancer or any other unnoticeable dangers). Meeting him, you can tell he has years of experience in oral knowledge, which definitely makes you more comfortable.Lastly, their investment in the most up-to-date technology is beyond anything I have ever seen, especially since I was a new patient, they had an amazing software that took and organized my teeth x-rays that were immediately captured and uploaded where I could see them.P.S. Love their fish tank with the fish in their office.

We moved to the area a year ago and were looking for a new dentist which can be a long and challenging process. Luckily, we received a “welcome to the neighborhood” letter in the mail from Dr. Jung. After doing some research and looking up reviews, we decided to make our first appointment. We have been really happy ever since. Dr. Jung is very friendly and personable and does a great job of making you feel comfortable. He also explains all of the procedures so you know what is going on. The office manager Mylene is very organized and helpful and makes the whole experience smooth. Nikki and Amanda are also great, friendly, and pay attention to every detail to make sure the experience is easy and enjoyable. Would highly recommend Dr. Jung and his office!

I can’t say enough about Dr. Jung. What a wonderful experience from the moment you come in Mylene is warm and friendly not to mention on the ball. The wait time is minimal due to Mylene’s efficiency. I’m extremely afraid of dentists due to a previous root canal…ten years ago. Today I had my wisdom teeth removed with no pain at all! Dr. Jung is gentle and explains everything. I will never go to anyone else again. I love this offfice. I will be recommending him to all my friends and family! Oh and he saved me $160 quoted from Dr. Zaks office around the corner. Love the fact that they are honest!

Dr. Jung is the best dentist I’ve had and I love his staff. Because I clench my teeth, I’ve needed some extensive work done & each time I go in, Dr. Jung has been very professional & caring. One of the assistants, Debbie, always makes sure I’m comfy with a blanket, dark glasses, pleasant conversation & “lip balm” so my lips don’t dry out during the procedure 🙂 When I’ve had to bring my son, the staff has been kind enough to keep him occupied with a dental goody bag or a tour of the office. I have never been pushed into unnecessary cosmetic treatments here. They have also worked with me on pricing here & there because they aren’t in my network of dentists (please consider accepting MetLife…please). My previous experiences with dentists have been pretty bad, so I’m grateful to have found Dr. Jung!

I know I sound like his cheerleader…and honestly I’m not getting paid for this BUT I just got back from another visit and OMG, I can’t tell you how happy I am I finally found a dentist that I love. He makes you feel so comfortable. They do everything they possibly can from blankets if you’re cold to swabbing your lips with vasaline and he even let me listen to his IPOD (cool music!). The work he does is top notch as he repaired my chipped front teeth after an accident and you can’t even tell anything happened. He has found in me a patient for life and I can’t recommend him highly enough!

I went in there to fix my veneer because it fell off, and they took care of it in a prompt manner. First and foremost, the staff and atmosphere was amazing; it was so chill and they were so friendly. Needing Dental work down is stressful. Fortunately, I found this dentist and I am very pleased. Dr. Jung is friendly, gentle, kind and really good! I can’t say enough about Dr. Jung. After some very bad experiences at other dental practices through the years, I have learned to trust them here.The staff is genuine, friendly and professional. The personal touch they put on everything is a real pleasure. I think everyone really loves working here. And the results have been consistently positive since Dr. Jung took over the practice.I have the worst teeth on the planet. I always max-out my insurance. But Dr. Jung always works with me and I know that I’m being treated fairly. The specialists he’s referred me to for more challenging issues are batting a thousand. Again, I trust them here. And they’ve earned that trust in a big way.I still have all of my teeth. If I hadn’t been going here, I doubt I’d be able to say that. And I wish I could give another star.
