Dr Tang is office is different than any other dentist I have ever been to. First of all there is no office waiting. When he schedules you, you are his only patient. Second he takes the time to get to know all his customers, I am amazed at how he recognizes all his patients. Third this man is detail oriented and takes the time to explain to you what the options are and what he is doing. His staff is amazing and super friendly. Just try a checkup and you will not want to go anywhere else.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Tang so I can safely say that Dr. Tang, Monica, Elizabeth, and the rest of the staff are the best in town! I always feel welcomed and at home whenever I come into the office and the quality of care is better than any other doctor I have been to! I was dumb enough to knock two of my front teeth loose when I was 15 years old in a skateboarding accident and I thought I would have to get implants that everyone would notice. Thanks to Dr. Tang and his crew, I can smile with confidence because the work he did was absolutely perfect! I get compliments whenever I tell people that two of my front teeth aren’t real! I highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking a reliable, caring dentist! They will take great care of you just like they did for me! Not to mention, their prices are very affordable and just about the same as you would pay anywhere else!

Dr. Tang gave me almost a full hour of consultation services. I want to thank him so much for my experience and the knowledge that he provided to me, professionally and respectfully. I want to also thank his assistants for welcoming me and making sure I was comfortable from the moment I walked in. It was my first time to the dentist since almost two decades. I didn’t think I would be nervous, but Dr. Tang has that dentist intuition, so it almost felt like I was getting counseled/cared for emotionally, because I have basically no recollection of what it was like to be getting treatment in your mouth. (It was a great realization again how invasive when you have things near or in your mouth, especially when you’re not used to it). He was very honest about what services were actually urgent to me– which was none. But he did point out with his photos of what needed attention, which was easy to understand and literally see. So thank you Dr. Tang for the comfortable, almost first-time dentist consultation I’ve received in a long time. When I am ready for the services, I will be coming back.

Dr. Tang and his team are awesome – I would highly recommend them! They are very friendly and Dr. Tang is very informative. He walks you through each step and let’s you know exactly what he’s doing. I had an appt. today and brought my 4 year old son with me. Dr. Tang had suggested it would be a good way to get him comfortable with being at the dentist. He was very playful with him, let him count my teeth etc. I was fortunate to have a great dentist as a kid and as a result have always loved going. I’m glad my little guy will feel the same way!

When I arrived to Dr. Tang’s, I had left a dentist who couldn’t figure out why my tooth hurt after a filling. I had the same filling replaced twice by a previous dentist because of the inexplicable tooth pain. Dr. Tang’s method of filling a tooth involves covering all the teeth except for the one being filled, which keeps out the contaminating bacteria causing my pain. This truly was the solution to the problem. There’s something else I like about this dentist: His big technology. He can show me a photograph of my tooth that’s the size of my head. Combine the technology with a highly knowledgeable, honest professional, he’s not a bad deal.

First some facts of interest: * Clearly explains how your teeth/gums/etc are doing and what needs to be done * Billing is easy and they help setup your insurance and can help explain payments/ reimbursements and any issues with your insurance (as in double dentist plans) * The visits are done individually so there is little/no waiting and you have the attention of the whole staff including Dr. Tang * Everything is maintained to the highest quality * Nicest people you will meet: Monica, Liz and Dr. Tang * It is located in a beautiful and nice area as well. You can take a walk or go out for lunch before or after your visit My personal experience In summary, I now look forward to my dentist visits, I feel that my dental care is in good hands and I have seen a significant improvement in my gum and teeth health since I started coming. Monica, Lis and Dr. Tang are all kind and some of the nicest/caring people I have met. I recommend Dr. Tang without any reservation. In detail, I have been coming to Dr. Tang’s for over 4 years. The last experience I had with a dentist (Smile Care) was that they were pushy and wanted to perform procedures in excess of what I needed (ie super cleanings) and I basically did not trust them. My first visits to Dr. Tangs was very pleasant and everything was explained to me (current oral health and billing). I had minor issues when I started due to not flossing regularly but they were resolved within a year after having cleanings at Dr. Tang’s. My experience was so good that my wife started coming to Dr. Tang’s as well even though being afraid of Dentists. It has come to the point 4 years later that my whole family (Mother, Sister, Wife) come to Dr. Tang’s and they all say the same thing, Best Dentists they have ever visited.

I didn’t go back to the dentist for 9 years. After a referral from my girlfriend to Dr. Tang, I’ve never been happier. The Dr. has an incredible staff. I use to dread going to the dentist. Now with Dr. Tang and his amazing staff, I actually enjoy my cleanings and checkups! Dr. Tang is personable, caring, professional, and fun. I have been going with Dr. Tang for 8 years now and every visit has been a great experience. Pros: There is little to no wait time. The office is very clean. The office location is nice. Dentist visits are pleasant and stress free. The office is up to date with technology (i.e. dental xrays via laptop) Dr. Tang and staff are very attentive and answer all questions with clarity. Cons NONE!!! Dr. Tang and his staff are very professional, attentive and friendly. I had very bad experiences with previous dentists but not anymore. I no longer am terrified of going to the dentist. I am 70 years old and have lived in many places; I have “gone to the dentist” in all of them: Minneapolis, Rapid City, Philip (SD), Milwaukee, Denver, Los Angeles, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Portland and Long Beach. My point being that I have a lot of comparisons / experience on which to base my comments. Dr. Tang and his staff do it all — correctly! 1. Dr. Tang explains clearly what care is proposed. 2. The care is excellent. 3. The costs and options of care are clearly explained as well as what is covered by insurance — many dentists are not good at this! 4. And, under certain circumstances, Dr. Tang calls you afterward to make sure all is going well. 5. I also appreciate that in his office there are pictures — not just of Andy’s family — there are pictures of Liz and Monica with their families. That sends a message!

Dr. Andy Tang earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine, and his DDS degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry . He serves patients in the Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Lakewood area with restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. At the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the premier post graduate institution for cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Tang studied comprehensive aesthetics in courses such as Advanced Adhesive Aesthetic Dentistry; Advanced Functional Aesthetics; Comprehensive Aesthetic Reconstruction; Practical Occlusion; Mastering Neuromuscular Occlusion; Neuromuscular Coronoplasty and Case Finishing; and comprehensive Neuromuscular Training on the K7. Dr. Tang is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Locally, he is an member of the Harbor Dental Society, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Business Council, and the Long Beach City College Foundation. He and his team are dedicated to continuing education. Dentistry is an ever-changing field, and Dr. Tang firmly believes that he and his team need to evolve with the profession in order to deliver to his patients the very best that dentistry has to offer.
